Mahali Bakery - Review - Battersea - London - The Infatuation

"Every neighbourhood wants a bakery like Mahali. The heavy wooden door feels like a gateway into Narnia, only instead of finding snowy paths and a friendly faun on the other side, there’s an array of shiny pastries. Things like savoury, spring onion and chive scrolls make a nice breakfast to go, and the classic pain au chocolats and croissants are proudly puffed up in their prime position closest to the till. The banana bread is the real standout here—not to be mistaken for the sickly sesame praline banana bread, the classic is dense yet airy, and sweet without being too cakey. There’s a long bench to perch on if it’s not too busy, but it’s more of a pastry-and-flat-white-to-go kind of spot. The kind that you save for the weekend, when you can savour it with a walk in nearby Battersea Park. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

I visited The Little Battersea Bakery this morning, and it was an absolute delight. This small, cozy coffee shop offers a wonderful selection of pastries and an amazing menu perfect for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I had the Battersea crushed avocado toast, and it was superb—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My partner had the toast Royale, which was equally delicious and beautifully presented. Despite arriving during a crowded time, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly attentive, always smiling, and apologetic for the wait, which ended up being much shorter than expected. Their positive attitude and efficiency truly enhanced our experience. As a regular coffee customer, I was already impressed by their excellent brews, but now I’m thrilled to say I’ll be coming back for the food as well. Highly recommend!

My mum and I passed by to grab a smoothie and ended up staying for food. The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious. I ordered the eggs with sourdough, avocado and pesto which I would recommend. I will definitely pop in again.

This is a nice place for everything from a smoothie to a full English breakfast. The bacon was good, as were the pork and leek sausages. Service was quick and friendly. Pastry selection looked good, but a little limited.

Was looking for an English breakfast in the area and this cafe popped up on Google maps. Food tasted pretty good but unfortunately was missing beans and potatoes to round it all off

Had a meeting in the area and needed somewhere to have lunch and work as I was early. Spotted Little Battersea Baker and decided to give it a go. A great decision. Delicious club sandwich and lovely coffee. Will defo visit again if I am in the area.

Very-very tasty breakfast! Exactly what I need on a cold winter's morning. Nice place, the staff is friendly. Go there and try the Battersea special (with avocado) or full English breakfast and you'll enjoy it for sure as I did.

Nice little coffee shop. Coffee was good as well as the pastries (the raspberry croissant was particularly good!)
