Little Easy Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"They sure don’t run from the aggressive New Orleans theme at Little Easy, but we’re not complaining. This spot is a cool downtown gastropub with the right amount of rowdiness, and a Cajun-inspired menu we’ll continue to come back for, especially on weekends when they do a solid bottomless brunch." - Brant Cox

Severely disappointed!! We stopped here to grab something to eat before the parade and we were SCAMMED. We ordered two burgers and two fries and our total came out to $60!!! Color us surprised! In addition to that, we asked to use the restroom and were told it would be another $10 per person! What happened to buying something and being able to use the restroom? So then the burgers arrive and I promise you they were smaller than breakfast sausages AND there were NO TOPPINGS. It was a a piece of meat and bread. I was and still am pissed. There was also an 18% automatic gratuity included for just pushing buttons on a computer screen. If you are going to price gouge, at least make it worth the price. I live here and I will never, EVER come back to this establishment.

Had a great time. Visiting from Houston and dine out often. The Cajun dip was a pleasant treat with Cajun spices in their just. The bartender Joe had a great personality and made sure engine at the bar was having a good time. He also made great suggestions and made sure we were happy with our selections. Service was attentive and prompt and I will surely return often. Definitely recommend. Thanks Joe!

Google
Joe is the best. Hands down. Food was great, drinks kept coming, and we had the best laughs. Don’t pick a fight with Joe, his tarot cards said be can’t have a conflict, but he makes great blow job shots and has plenty of treats for all his four legged customers.

Went in for a quick lunch. I asked the bartender for a drink with whiskey, she made me a whiskey sour. It was ok. The po boy was good, but nothing outstanding. The bar was small, the service was good enough. I was surprise there was a young girl sitting at a table. I would have appreciated a drink menu, that way I would have picked a specialty of the house.

Google
Pulled pork po'boy for dinner with a Maker's Mark whiskey and coke! Friendly, fun bartender & and a great mix of music on the stereo and super chill for a Monday evening after I was traveling all day. Thanks for a great time at The Little Easy!

Google
Welcoming vibes, delicious poboys, well-crafted Old Fashioned and friendliest bartender Joe. We took our kids for dinner there our first night in town and enjoyed it so much we came back without the kids for drinks the next night. A cute bar in a cute neighborhood!!

Fun spot! Simple menu, first spot on our journey, and well worth it! Let the drinks keep flowing.

Yelp
Met the family. Beautiful family. American dream status. Wish the best for them. Best hospitality. Blerta, the bartender, my fav bartender of all time. She was so hospitable, friendly, and so positive. Especially her family, that was here during our visit. This is a family friendly bar. Must visit. My fav bar right now. I wish them success and love. Highly recommend. Talk about southern hospitality. Played gold fish with Blerta's kid. Kid took my lunch money lol. But in all seriousness, I felt like I was part of the family playing with one of my cousins.

Yelp
****Sigh**** This bar is the perfect bar and it's in the perfect spot. I was stuck in a ridiculous amount of traffic on Wednesday, August 14th. I was just straight annoyed! I walked and had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting Joe (while he was doing Joe things). Joe definitely made me smile and laugh and so did B (please forgive me my girl. I didn't write it down.) This is a cool vibe small and quaint ambiance. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Everything about the bar is amazing. Fast service, friendly and best pressed sandwich's. Blerta is the owner, she is cutie pie. They are opening a new restaurant called P3.

Yelp
Great little locals place but all are welcome. Neat and clean, friendly bartender, very attentive too! I would recommend you popping in. While we didn't eat, the food looked and smelled great!

Yelp
This place was great! We were being tourists for the weekend and happened to catch the end of the Halloween parade, and then on our walk home we decided to pop in. The service was friendly and we were able to catch the game on the TVs. We didn't get anything to eat, but people definitely seemed to come in knowing what they wanted to eat, so I'd recommend getting something. The ambiance is very neighborly. Everyone seemed to know the bartenders and they seemed to know everyone right back. It was great!

Yelp
This has to be one of the most underrated spots in the CBD. Under new ownership, this place has become a hub for the community. I recently had a jobsite nearby for approximately a year and the Little Easy became our go-to lunch 2-3 times a week. The new owners, Blerta Pira and Joe Palmer, have done so well. We were quickly welcomed in as family by everybody there. The entire staff (shoutout to K in the kitchen) are extremely nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Great service and great food. HIGHLY recommend the Cajun Dip and Dirty Turkey. The Birria tacos are also killer. Three of my favorites, and the best sellers in house. If you're in the neighborhood you have to stop by and check out these pressed po-boys. Such a good take on a New Orleans tradition. A great dive bar feel with good priced drinks and food. They are the definition of "Good times start with good people", add this to your list!!!

Yelp
So I'm in Nola for the first one and The Little Easy is my first restaurant stop after just wondering around the neighborhood where my hotel is. First reaction, it's cool, nothing extraordinary. It's giving local dive bar, where everyone knows your name ;) The young lady (I think she was the bartender) was very nice and welcoming. Another guy (maybe manager) was cool too. I'm a Jersey Shore fan and one episode they talked about eating Muffuletta sandwiches. It was on the menu here, so...I got it! Here's what I had: -Muffuletta -Fries -Bud Light Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious!! When I arrived what turned out to be the cook was sitting at the bar on his phone. When I placed my food order he went back to the open kitchen. I can guarantee he washed his hands BEFORE he made my meal, but I was hungry and hot so instead of doing my usual "Umm excuse me" I said a quiet prayer and hopefully I don't get sick in NOLA! Will I go back? Sure, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so!

Yelp
Wonderful, extremely clean bar in New Orleans. The owners are so nice and great. I love coming back home to this.

Yelp
The Little Easy took total advantage of parade-goers tonight. While most bars and restaurants near parade routes will allow paying customers to use their restroom, this place will not! The Little Easy requires a $10 fee to use the restroom even after you purchase a drink! And a simple cocktail tonight was $12. Unbelievable! I understand taking advantage of your location near a parade route, but between hiking up prices, opening a to-go stand next door and charging and additional $10 for using the restroom, this place is gouging every person who makes the mistake of purchasing a drink from them and expecting to use the facilities in return. Shame on them!

Yelp
Nice lil chill spot... good bar food and even better drinks!!! Bartenders are always friendly and have a heavy hand.

Yelp
So much better after the change in ownership! Joe is amazing and makes this "Erin Rose in Exile" a worthy hangout for everyone in the CBD. We will make this our new late night neighborhood bar and send all of our customers!

Yelp
We were caught in the rain, so we ran for shelter and found The Little Easy. This is a dive bar ambiance, if you're looking for that vibe. At 2:00 in the afternoon, there's not a whole not happening. But the booth was comfy, so we sat inside. I opted for a French 75, but the bartender/server opted to put seltzer instead of champagne in it. It was good! Hats off to the bartender for putting her twist on it. For lunch, I got the muffuletta. It was...different. It was a pressed sandwich, and that was something I was my used to. Still good though. Recommended if you're in the Warehouse District and need a bite to eat.

K D.

Yelp
The BEST BAR in NOLA! Great food! Wonderful staff! Terrific ambiance! Don't miss this jewel in the CBD!

Jared R.

Yelp
Poboys were terrible, room temperature cheap deli meat on a hot dog bun. It was about $40 for 2 of them with limp soggy french fries.

Makia H.

Yelp
While I was greeted respectfully and there was a "neighborhood" friendly vibe, I was terribly disappointed! I ordered the muffaletta and the pressed toasted bun is no more than a hot dog bun! And there was hardly any meat on it! I had walked two blocks to get a handful of disappointment. I couldn't even get a root beer because they hadn't got a soda delivery. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for a real poboy.

Yelp
This is a small, friendly dive bar in the CBD. Pet friendly (on a leash, of course). Has a few tv screens above the bar for sports games. We had several delicious, reasonably priced cocktails and several of their poboy paninis (pressed). We all likes the sandwiches. The little girl next to us didn't like her nachos because the cheese was too spicy, so know that before you order the nachos. We would definitely come back for the food, drinks, and friendly atmosphere.

Teresa S.

Yelp
My daughters & I were in town the weekend of the 25th for the Taylor Swift concert & stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. Our server sorry I can't remember her name was amazing!! The food was hot, fresh & delicious along with amazing prices for it. It was a quaint little almost whole in the wall place & we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit here.

Kathy P.

Yelp
Fun little place, bartender was nice. The pressed po boys were very good. Things were going along fine...then the owner came in complaining about everything. Keep your complaints to yourself you are only embarrassing yourself.

Michael C.

Yelp
It's under new management: ownership. It's better than ever with the kitchen moved to the courtyard you can come in and not leave smelling like the bar. The new owners are here everyday, all day, and make sure things are run properly. The place has improved greatly !! Definitely worth a visit- and repeat visits!

Yelp
Was invited over Tuesday night and all I can say this place is definitely a hidden gem in new orleans. The environment is just right..super friendly bartender too. We got the cuban sandwhich and pulled pork. Literally the best pairings for some cold drinks, not too heavy on the stomach and it tastes so good. Highly recommend

Yelp
Fun little dive bar with outstanding PoBoys. Cajun was good, spicy sausage was better.

SmartTab P.

Yelp
Dropped in per a friend's recommendation and caught the owner, Brian, who was kind and very very funny Definitely drop on in and say hi to these friendly folks in Nola!

Tim J.

Yelp
Nice little joint a reasonable walk from convention center. Sandwiches were great, drinks were frosty cold and hit the spot.

Madison G.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Dive bar atmosphere, staff was super friendly, menu was limited but food was so good
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Food was good basic mostly sandwiches and fries. Friendly staff and customers. Onion rings were good and the nachos were like ballpark nachos. Lots of cheese. Atmosphere was nice local bar. No frills no draft beer If you are in the area it's worth a stop by. I would not go out of my way to go there after all it's New Orleans and lots of places to try.
google avatar

Lance M.

Yelp
What a fantastic bar. Everyone is super chill and friendly. Jo is our new favorite bartender. Untypical and tasty bar food.

Ross C.

Yelp
More of a dive than anything else; music was too loud to enjoy, menu was overpriced, waited 35 minutes for a to-go order of two sandwiches that turned out to be made wrong (ordered a muffaleta and club sandwich and got two ham & cheeses on hot dog buns, the meat looked like it came from a sandwich pack at Walmart). There was NO one else in the bar, they weren't overloaded or busy, just poor attention and quality. The two girls behind the bar spent the whole time talking and distracting the "chef" (term used very loosely). As a bar it may be fine, but for pub grub or a meal, don't waste your time, there's a Circle K up the road with better food and service.

Wayne L.

Yelp
ok place. if you go there on a night when they have specials (Wednesday steak night) don't order anything off the menu if you expect food within 2 hours. if you complain. they blame you (you should know) Will not go back and will tell all of my out of town guests to avoid this place.

Yelp
held our monthly building party at LE, lovely courtyard, and fun hanging out front on the sidewalk, great NOLA vibe. Owner Brian was gracious and generous to our many residents, red beans and rice were tasty ! I highly recommend them for an event, we had about 50 happy people.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
my favorite little cozy bar! all of the bartenders are extremely friendly and accommodating, the owners are very pleasant and inviting, and the cooks never miss :) the food is casual new orleans cuisine, packed with flavor and made with love. 10 stars

Paul G.

Yelp
Ruby the executive bar manager with outstanding presence, offered us their focus menus of pressed P.O.- boys and custom cocktails. Nicely mixed drinks were were presented to taste and preference. Definitely a dive bar atmosphere with an affordable attitude.

Yelp
If you're expectations are sea-level low, you'll be fine. Went in midday, 4 people were seated at the bar. This was my 2nd time here. I'm a local and I love dive bars. Ordered a cheeseburger and bartender walked away, didn't take drink order - got everyone else another round. She said no condiments or fixins can be added cause it's a smash burger (cool) yet cheese was not melted. . . took about 15 mins to prepare. Glad there's a dive bar in the warehouse district but puzzled as to how it's this hard to provide decent service. 2nd star = dog friendly.

Patricia R.

Yelp
Great little bar in the CBD. Food was great, everyone was friendly, love how the owner, Brian, walks around and talks with everyone.

Yelp
The 5 stars are totally due an awesome bartender Oz. He was the epitome of Southern Hospitality. 3 of us wondered in looking for a cool drink and a bite to eat on Sunday afternoon after brunch. Oz welcomed us with a huge smile and an even larger heart. We had such a good time that we went back a second time with more of our group to celebrate our friends birthday. Oz made sure we all had what we needed and more. I highly recommend stopping in to have a cool beverage and a bite but be sure to ask for Oz.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
I love this place! What makes it amazing are the bartenders. Specifically Jo, Oz, and Ruby. For a bar where you expect basic well drinks, Jo puts fresh lime and lemon into the drinks and makes the meanest margarita!
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the bartender Ruby is a delight. The sign mentioned famous for their pressed sandwiches. They're great. Get one.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
We spotted a chalkboard with words "Crawfish Boil 2 pm Sunday" on the way to the WW2 museum. So glad we can back for a great late lunch! We sat outside on a beautiful Spring day. Hubs & I both had the crawfish boil (pictured) and our friends had the muffuletta and meatball sandwiches. Everyone was very happy for a very reasonable price. The owner Brian chatted with us and told us about some of his other businesses including the Local 718 in the French Quarter.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
A great local bar with nothing but good times. The staff and regulars have such a lovely vibe and the bar is a nice place for a good quick bite
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I have been accused to being the big easy so it was a pleasure to find my sister in crime ~ the Little Easy. I think it was the right time for the right mood. I was in a fancy hotel and ready for some typical New Orleans fare (poboys) without the richboy price. I was not sure whether it had more of a dive bar feel than a restaurant but either way the lunch hit the spot and I was pleased with my find. This is in the emerging warehouse district so you can load up on carbs before you hit the galleries.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Food and drinks were good. Vibe of a small town local bar. My kind of place for a reasonably priced lunch.

Tiana B.

Yelp
I was using the restroom with my friends and suddenly employees were banging on the door and forcing people to get out. Obviously they thought we were doing illegal activity BUT as I'm sitting on the toilet, men were saying "WE DONT CARE" to women sitting on the toilet. No privacy, no decency, and no dignity at this establishment as people continued to open the door with women on the toilet. They do not care about human decency or dignity. A wild reaction for an empty bar. DO NOT GO! If I could give zero stars... I would!!!!!
google avatar

Tamara K.

Yelp
This is our second time here this weekend. We stopped by on our way back from the WWII museum. We enjoyed the atmosphere and Poboy so much we decided to hang out here our last night. The dirty turkey was so good. This is a great neighborhood hangout.
google avatar

Mitchell M.

Yelp
Hazel the bartender was awesome, friendly, great looking and fast! The food was great, I had the Cajun Dip and my wife had the muffuletta. Both were excellent but I think mine was better. It was an easy walk from where we stayed. Great area, friendly people and staff.
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this little dive in NOLA! Try the dirty turkey! Everyone there was great and we met a local that gave us great ideas for our weekend. Super close to the WWII museum!
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Great little dive bar with food on an upscale street in the artsy area of the Warehouse District. Seems to be a mix of regulars with quite a few tourists but I decided to stop in for the first time since I had booked a haircut nearby. Not sure I agree with the "pressed poboy" nomenclature but the sandwiches are pretty good and the gumbo was also quite good despite being very difficult to eat with the provided tiny plastic spoon in a takeout "plastic cutlery" package. It ain't fancy, but for most people The Little Easy will be an enjoyable visit and even pretty good food if you're inclined. Can't say I would come here on Date Night but I definitely expect to be back.
google avatar

Haley P.

Yelp
Brian is probably the coolest bar owner in NOLA and this place is his baby-he takes care of people and makes everyone feel like family. They have tasty bar food options (crawfish nachos are pretty good, also sandwiches and other standard faire), and all your basic drink options. Prices are a touch high for a small dive bar (I.e. $5.50 for a corona), but especially during COVID when you can barely find a place to go at all-this place is so welcoming and makes things feel almost normal again. We actually held a small birthday party for a friend a while back and Brian allowed us to come in and decorate the place at no charge. They have a small outdoor patio area with giant Jenga and connect four in the back, with a few TVs out there as well, There's also a ton of TV's inside in case you want to catch a game-because sports have started again baby! :)
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
The service was good, friendly and quick. I had dirty fries and they accommodated for a wheat allergy. The fries were hot!
google avatar

Teira R.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and ordered the honey glazed wings. I like the skinny fries they serve and that honey sauce is amazing! I dipped all my fries in it. The wings were so big, I doubt they can be called wings at this point. I asked for them fried hard, but they were not. 3 stars is for that yummy sauce and the inside looks like a fun little spot to have a drink and catch a game. The bartender was very nice also, wanted to add that in.
