I went to this place a handful of times. It was extremely busy on weekends, but I enjoyed getting a drink here on weekdays when it wasn’t nearly as packed. The atmosphere was welcoming and the bartenders were sweet and charming. This is the place to go in DC if you’re looking for a place to meet or make new friends.

My husband and I love LGP and their espresso martini's. We're always treated great, and we love the diverse and expressive atmosphere. It can get busy at times but we love going off peak and its always the highlight of our week!

Absolutely love LGP! It’s a really great space run by amazing people who are beloved by the community. It can get crowded depending on the time and day, but as a DC resident I can say it’s a go to spot for all of us. If you’re visiting from out of town check it out, and don’t forget the famous bathroom for a selfie. There’s even a 📏 for you know what 📸😉

This place was packed on a Friday night! Everyone was having a great time and we found a fun couple of guys to chat with. Bartenders were great and very friendly. There was an ID check on place when we arrived and a teeny line outside.

Bad service: It was my first expresso martini, and the bartender told me to drink water before ordering the next drink because the expresso martini was too strong. He refused his service to me by saying that he is the manager and he can do whatever he wants with an smug attitude, despite the fact i was sober and feeling well. I had always come here and never had any problems ordering drinks. Is it hard to be kind to people? Nah, forget it you just lost another customer.

Finally got a chance to try out this place. So I would say the place is really cute and has nice seating outside! The variation in drinks is also great as well as the ‘bar’ food. I also loved the painting and frames on the wall. Additional the bathroom was so clean and even though it’s just 2 of them…I would rather have a clean bathroom than a nasty one with everyone possibly g everywhere. Some of the guys were in line complaining all night that they would prefer a long stall etc etc. they didn’t care that other folks came to the pub and would prefer a bit more privacy. Now if you are looking for a bit more diversity, this is not the place for you. It isn’t the bars fault who comes but just know it is the 99.9% white gays of DC type of vibe and just by listening you can tell it isn’t the best of the best. The inside is a bit small so beware of the wait lines and then being crammed inside. All in all I would definitely recommend this bar for the summer time or when it’s warmer to be on the outside seating.
