Great time snuggling and feeding the goats. The bunnies were asleep for the night but they did bring out kittens. The owners and staff were so sweet! Educating us on their goats and sharing ways to make the best of our time there! Totally recommend for anyone that is looking for a fun and enjoyable goat date! We were given some homemade cheeses to take with us to enjoy too!

HIDDEN GEM!!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The owners are such nice, friendly, beautiful people. I found this place 2022 and had a wonderful experience. Visited again about 2 weeks ago and had a better experience! We almost decided not to go because it seemed like it was going to rain but I am glad we still went. We got the whole place to ourselves for a while before another visitor joined us. We got see a 2 goats that had just been born. It was a wonderful experience and highly recommended it to everyone with or without kids.

We recently had an event at the Little Goat farm. The goats were adorable and bingo was fun, however, I would not recommend this place for an event. The staff was very rude and insulting to us on the phone. Beacuse of the treatment recieved on the phone I decided that we should cancel our event. When I called to do that I was told the money we had put down was unrefundable. Therefore we decided to go forward with our event. The staff was not helpful. For the amount we paid for the event we were provided with very little and what we were provided with was poor. There was not even a garbage can available to us. Thankfully the nice employee, who was calling bingo numbers for us, located one for us to use.

Found this farm on Facebook. They were selling baby goat and bunny snuggle tickets. We bought tickets! I recommend following them first to get notifications immediately as their tickets sell out very fast. We had a memorable and positive experience walking our own goat, bottle feeding him, and enjoying the beautiful view by the lake. They have other animals too such as a donkey and alpacas. On our way out we received cookies, pumpkin seeds, fresh lavender and coffee... all products from the farm except (I believe) the coffee. Although I saw many parents with their kids ❤, this is also a nice and romantic activity to do with your significant other 😍. Last but not least, the staff are very friendly and helpful!

Google
We had such a fun time doing baby goat yoga! There were plenty of goats to go around (and even a baby alpaca!) and the staff was amazing and helped get goats to climb on us and take photos. We were right by the lake, the scenery was beautiful. All you need is a yoga mat, and you'll be in for a great time! Very therapeutic, too! Thank you, Little Goat Farm at the Lake - y'all have a fantastic property and program!

Goats are known to be social animals each with their own distinct personalities. One would think baby goats' personalities are still developing ...... well, that is not the case because these little fellas act like total farmhouse teenagers. Come to the Little Goat Farm at the Lake; it's actually a lot of fun, see our pics. You can bring your own vegetables (we brought carrots and celery), just be sure to clear it with the owners. You don't have to bring veggies for the goats - you are provided milk bottles at the entrance. When you feed them, the babies like to put their two front legs on you sometimes trying to knock down the baby you are already feeding (see, they act like teenagers). We also got a tour of the chickens and surrounding areas ..... and the adult goats follow you & keep you company along the tour. The owners are there next to you the whole time and they are really nice and knowledgeable. This is as local (read: genuine) as it gets since this activity is a family run enterprise on privately owned land and not a large commercialized affair. Another words, the experience is very down to earth and feels very personal and family + little-kids oriented. Just be sure to call ahead and check on event availability.

DONT GO HERE. Look at the negative reviews, you'll find the truth. Owner has paid to have negative reviews removed to save face from all of the negative feedback, however the truth is still out there. RUDE owner. She pretends to be pleasant but ask her workers/volunteers, Shes abusive. She gives away 'raffle' prizes which are expired cakes/cookies, not for human consumption but donated for animal feed. She claims to make soap on site but its from retailers that she scratches off the labels and rebrands herself. They pump water from the lake manassas to water their greenhouse, which isnt allowed and they try to hide it (go look for yourself, its behind there covered by a bucket and debris) Ask her neighbors how the owner is, theyll tell you the truth. Workers have witnessed the owner being abusive to the animals....overall not the paradise it seems to be at first glance. If you really care for the animals, do not support this place. I dont leave reviews, ever, but I feel this is one of the only ways I can help warn others of this place. Which is sad, because this place COULD be truly wonderful. Im sure plenty naive have had a joyful time, but the darkness lurks. DONT SUPPORT THIS "FARM".

Google
Had nothing but fun, 5 stars. Kids had a blast, my daughter sat with a bunny for a solid hour and wouldn't move. My niece made her business to make friends with every single goat. Free samples were included with the ticket I chose the mozzarella, they had lovely bouquets for sale

Yelp
We visited the farm as part of the Harvest Host program and were allowed to assist with feeding their goats. Both owners were courteous to us and our children, and we had a fun time spoiling their animals with snacks and snuggles.

Yelp
Hi! My time at the farm was the most relaxed I have been all year was sitting down with a bunny in my lap. Thank you farmer Bob. On November 30th I also took home some goat cheese and eggs they were giving away. Anyone who goes can be sure to have an originally wonderful time! Something unfortunate occurred when I was there which was no fault of the farm. They had an intruder that paid for her entrance and tried to spoil everyone's good time with the claim the owner's shot her dog and hid the body. What?!? In retrospect, I laugh, I mean SOME people! Geez! But I feel bad for Farmer Bob and family since they do such excellent work and an intruder like this is the last thing they deserve. I asked farmer Bob who told me they let Prince William County Animal Control search around and they found nothing. (Duh! lol) Crazy Lady should stay home! I will be back to Little Goat Farm in the spring with my grandkids. They deserve our support living around hostile neighbors. All I can say is keep up the fantastic work!

Yelp
Hi Gary! The day could not have been better. It was such a beautifully perfect day that we all wanted to rewind and do it again. Your staff were so helpful, knowledgeable, professional and kind. And your goats couldn't be more lovable. And the cheese was amazing and the flowers beautiful. Thanks for everything, I imagine you'll be hearing from us again! And the pictures are perfect and such a bonus! Michelle

Yelp
Went with a group of ladies and even though we arrived a bit late, we got plenty of yoga and goat interaction in. I especially enjoyed hanging with the baby goats and giant white dog later and free duck eggs and snacks. It's a well-run business.

Yelp
The first part is: 1 bottle of milk per group for like 5 baby goats and 20-30 people. Then you can get 1 bottle of milk, which no goat really took. The portion of milk per group on the ticket is deceiving as many other reviews state. Hence losing 1 star. The second part is: you get to go in a pen with the donkey, lama, and a bunch of adult goats. They have tree stumps that you can sit on and have the goats climb on you to eat all the snacks. The best part is the whole experience that makes this way different then any other goat experience is that the goats and you have no fence no barrier and you are right there. And there are bunnies you can sit and pet but the goats are way better. And to add to other reviews, yes it is their personal house and farm but the experience can not be beat anywhere else.

Yelp
I am writing this with the sincere hope that this review gives some of you a moment of pause before considering giving this establishment a cent of your money. Before I continue, I'd like to state that this review is written on behalf of my fiancé and her bridesmaids. On February 3rd, 2022 the maid of honor of this bridal party had placed $160 to reserve a goat yoga session with "Little Goat Farm at the Lake" for March 31st, 2022. This amount was paid towards the estimated total of $320 for 5-8 people, pending a final head count. On February 13th, 2022, the maid of honor had received an email informing her that the reservation had been cancelled and that the deposit had been refunded with no explanation (see image). Apparently, this "establishment" had "received a phone call request to cancel." Despite the maid of honor, or any member of the bridal party never making such a call, this "establishment" decided to cancel the reservation. Unsurprisingly, the date and time previously reserved is suddenly unavailable, as the yoga instructor has been booked elsewhere for a private event. After calling the "establishment" repeatedly, the maid of honor (or "MOH," because this is gonna be long-winded otherwise) finally got a hold of someone. According to this representative, a "young female lady" called saying they couldn't make the date and would reschedule. Again, I'd like to reiterate that NO ONE in this bridal party made such a call. And, unsurprisingly yet again, no one at this establishment thought to email or call to confirm the MOH had made such a request. Ten days would pass since the deposit was made before the "establishment" had arrived to such a conclusion. Hearing this news a few days ago, my fiancé and I were pretty livid. Gee, that seems pretty rude and unprofessional to pull that on someone. Me, being the skeptical and cynical person that I am, decided to look into this. I wanted to see if there were other instances of this rigmarole taking place. Sure enough, I'd come across another instance of a large school event that was unexpectedly cancelled; only to find that the "establishment" wanted more money and essentially sold them out for greener pastures. Here's the kicker: MOH receives word that they found another instructor who can fulfill the original contract, but that they're more expensive. The cost would be $85 per person. Even with just five people, that's already $425. And boy, they seemed oh so eager to secure that new invoice. I don't know what's wrong with this place. Maybe they were hit hard by the pandemic and need to be more strategic about how they keep their business afloat. Or, maybe, just maybe, maybe they're a poorly run business that happens to scalp people whenever possible. Whether they were inept and foolishly cancelled a reservation with poor communication or they were deliberately trying to rack up their price in the most underhanded way possible, I don't know what's worse. Alas, it's a moot point, now. I'm almost glad they decided to behave in such a manner, for it showed me what character (if they even have any) they possess. I've never met them, nor do I even dream of ever meeting them, now. And so, that leaves my fiancé and her bridesmaids to scramble to find an alternate means of celebrating their bachelorette party. Small, in the grand scheme of things, but not so much that I took it upon myself to write the most scathing review possible. For all intents and purposes, I thinking this place is a sham. There are plenty of small business who, even though they're reeling from the pandemic, are still capable of showcasing reasonable and professional business practices. So if you're reading this now, prospective buyer: buyer beware. There's a good chance you'll be cheated out of your own investment, even before you set foot on the farm.

Yelp
If you're looking for a goat cuddling session (not to mention fresh eggs or goat cheese) this is the place. They also send goats out for 'goat yoga'. I visited on a scouting mission to find place that would allow a small group to visit. We called ahead and got in touch with "Farmer Bob" (seriously, that's how we were told to refer to him). Bob didn't initially respond, but came over soon enough. When I visited, the place was FULL of baby goats! A lot had been born recently, so 'kids' were everywhere. I was given the chance to hang out with them for a bit, and we made arrangements for a follow up visit. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. You'd think farms would be the type of activity for kids, but from what I saw, adults were having all the fun.

Yelp
My family is heading home from a magical evening at the Little Goat Farm at the Lake and oh my gosh! This place is incredible! This super nice man greeted us with a baby goat hopping along beside him, and we and one other little family fed 3 gallons of milk to the babies. (They have both little babies who subsist on milk and older babies who have milk just for fun.) I had never seen goats this young before and they were every bit as adorable as I imagined they would be! And this experience of getting to snuggle them and feed them and play with them- all on this gorgeous farm, watching the sunset over a lake. I'm feeling so much lighter and more peaceful than I was when we arrived. Those goats are magical. That's the snuggle I didn't know I needed. Oh- and I apparently didn't read the event posting all the way through, so I was surprised as we were leaving when the lady of the farm greeted us and invited us to pick out a gorgeous bouquet that she arranged from flowers from her garden. Are you kidding me?! Amazing! Oh- and then we each got to pick out a variety of cheese that THEY MADE ON THE FARM, some of which have won awards. I'm readjusting my meal plan for the next couple days so we can feature these special cheeses and reminisce about our special family fun night. This farm is really special, and I'm so glad I found it. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I did not expect to enjoy this hidden farm as much as I did. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely be returning. My son loved feeding the little goats. I got so many great pictures because they followed him everywhere. We headed out a little early because it got a bit hot and we didn't bring sun hats or water but we'll definitely return but prepared this time! The owner was so sweet and super attentive.

Yelp
We had such a memorable Friday night visit! Everyone is so welcoming and it was wonderful to see all the animals. We will go again!

Yelp
Wonderfully friendly staff who try very hard to make sure everyone gets to participate equally in the baby goat yoga experience. Yoga Instructor Fatimah was super patient and clear. Would absolutely recommend, was completely worth going, will be back.

Yelp
I purchased the Kitten and Bunny Snuggles for my family as Christmas presents. On Dec 27, I received an automated email that my payment was refunded. There was a place on the email for "Message from Organizer", but they didn't even include one. It made me wonder if this had been processed by mistake. So, I emailed them. Two days later I still haven't received a reply. But now I see that the event is removed from the calendar on their website. No explanation. Not pleased how they have handled this, especially given that it was a Jan 2 event and most of the purchasers were probably for Christmas gifts like mine.

Yelp
Love the farm and the animals. Great customer service. This is our third time at the farm. We like it much more in the spring when the baby goats are so little. We were lucky today to meet baby Alpaca. This is the best stress relief ever, even my teenagers love going to see the new babies.

Lesley D.

Yelp
Visited this location for goat yoga and had a blast! The owners are so nice and friendly and seem to really care about their animals. They called each goat by name during feeding which I thought was really sweet. They also made sure the goats spent time with everyone who was there for the event. We got some really fun photos and goat snuggles out of it too! We paid a low price for delicious cheese to bring home at the end of the event too. Would love to come back for future happenings at this farm!

Sadiya S.

Yelp
Just like others have said, this place seems very dishonest. I should have known that they were unreliable from their shoddy communication. They scheduled my group for baby goat yoga and took a deposit. Then they canceled the reservation out of nowhere, claiming that someone called them to ask for a cancellation. As soon as we found out the class was cancelled, we told them we wanted to keep our reservation, but they said the yoga instructor was already booked. Then they said we could get another instructor if we pay more money (which is something we were not willing to do). A good business would have fixed their mistake (if it was one) without going back on the agreement and trying to get more money out of us. They are either lying or extremely careless and unethical. Either way, I would not recommend anyone to give their business here. They returned the deposit so at least they are not thieves, I guess.

Yelp
We've been looking for outdoor activities to do as a family and the Little Goat Farm at the Lake was the perfect spot. Tickets to visit and enjoy the baby goats and bunnies were $40 per person (did not need a ticket for our baby) which got us access to goats, bunnies, alpacas, an adorable little donkey, and chickens on a gorgeous scenic property with farm-made goat cheese, nuts, and cookies to take home. I like knowing the ticket cost goes to supporting this local family-owned farm and their animals! We arrived, were greeted by the owner, and led to the area with chickens and bunnies (we decided to do the bunnies last) then on to a lovely hillside with a lake at the bottom. We chose a shady spot right next to the lake and spread out the blanket we had brought. We bottle-fed our baby goat while the mama goats roamed and grazed around us. We were later joined by the donkey and a chihuahua named Chachi who plopped right down on the blanket with us. We had a lovely time with the animals, the staff was masked, and we felt very safe and at ease probably 20 yards from the next closest group. We will definitely visit this sweet little farm again! PRO TIP: Make sure you bring a $10 bill to use as a deposit for the leash and bottle, it will be returned to you upon returning those items.

Yelp
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. To echo what most of the other reviewers on here have said: -rude owners -don't deliver what they promise -show you they don't respect you, your time, or your business -disorganized and unprofessional -poorly treated volunteers Support a real farm instead.

Yelp
We've been twice and will definitely be back!! Wonderful, friendly, kind, caring people and truly remarkable rescued animals. Love it here!!

Yelp
They will not respond to phone calls or lawyer paperwork. They sold a puppy claiming to be purebred but have not sent us the registration paperwork. Do not buy anything from here.

Yelp
This was our third time visiting the Goat Farm. This time, I had my daughter's birthday party there and they were very accommodating and responsive in planning. They were very hospitable and friendly. Definitely recommend visiting or having a kid's party here.

Yelp
Truly a unique experience to be able to pet, feed, cuddle & hold the baby goats! If you can get close enough there's lamas, alpacas & chickens too. Located in the backyard of a waterfront residential property. Staff available was knowledgeable & helpful in getting some of the animals close enough to feed, pet & get pictures with. However, there was quite a bit of confusion with the deals currently offered through YELP such as the discounted entry fee, of which full price is quite steep for a family of 6 @ $15 a person!
google avatar

Yelp
We brought our daughter here for a birthday surprise. Pictures on this site, Facebook, are quite decieving. They are zoomed IN into the goats and people smiling. Zoom OUT and you will see that this is some someone's home, kinda run down, kinda nothing exciting, and they have a few goats, chickens, bunnies, and a llama on their land. This place is not a baby goat wonderland as we hoped it would be, as they promised for the event. Just a regular farm home. When we were there, at the most there were 4-6 goats there and they were not baby goats. We left early. The most memorable part was Chachi the farm chihuahua who was so tiny, friendly, and a good, sweet girl little doggie. Not worth the money we paid. Quite disappointed.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time here! The woman who led our group was so sweet and knowledgeable. First she shared information about the goats. Then we got to bottle feed and hold them for an hour. There was also a baby alpaca as well. They also have a store that sells goat products like cheese and soap; and free range eggs. They also offer goat yoga. The farm is on the water and just a beautiful location.

Mar M.

Yelp
I went for "Goat Yoga". If I could give them a 10+ I would! The baby goats are amazing and trained in Goat yoga, it is like a fabulous massage on your back! The lake view, the goats , the yoga instuctor all added to a magical experience. I want to go back and share this with as many people as I can!

Amanda T.

Yelp
BEWARE-FALSE ADVERTISING!! They plastered their event all over on Facebook as being free (even saying "a $20 value!"). Drove an hour only to be told we needed tickets which were sold out months ago which was NOT mentioned on their Facebook event page. In fact most people in line were similarly confused and angry about the ticket requirement and most everyone had to leave as we were all unaware about the tickets. I actually pulled up the event on my phone and asked the lady to show me any mention of tickets or the eventbrite link. She couldn't find it, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. My devastated 2 year old and other children left in tears. Shame on you!!

Yelp
This place does some false advertising. I bought 3 tickets for 3 friends that cost $44 each but was supposed to include $20 worth of food to take home. They wouldn't give us each one gift basket because they said we were a group despite paying for separate tickets that said that was part of each ticket. They also falsely advertise their covid standards which made us 3 uncomfortable as it was not what we thought. Everyone was pretty close to each other especially in the bunny area and animals are just being passed around. They let a lot of people in and had them back to back. It felt like they were just trying to make money off people and not thinking about the safety of humans or animals. The animals didn't seem to be in the best shape and Facebook has horrible reviews indicating negligence and abuse by the owners. They seem to constantly breed babies and sell to slaughterhouses. They are using the baby pitch to pull people in at overpriced costs. Overall, I regret the visit and recommend you just go to a farm sanctuary to hang out with animals for free.

Ingrid K.

Yelp
Baby goats! You can pet them, snuggle them, and bottle feed them. Sometimes the mama goats butt in to get a swig from the bottles too. The alpacas were very curious about us and our cameras. They came right up, but shied away if we tried to pet them. The goats seemed to love the attention more. The folks who run the farm are super friendly and patient. You might find some goat poop souvenirs along on the bottoms of your shoes, so leave the ones with deep tread behind. It's hard to scrape the poop off as I learned after shuffling my feet back and forth on wet grass. They accept cash or PayPal. Cash is probably easier, so be sure to bring $10 per person and a little extra to purchase their fresh goat cheese and other food items. This modest farm sits on a hill overlooking Lake Manassas. It really is a pretty view. Bring the kids or a date. It really is a sweet experience! We didn't want to leave.

B H.

Yelp
We paid $98.75 for two tickets. On the website, it reads you get your OWN goat and bunny. However, upon arriving, the owner only gave us one goat to feed (and eventually a rabbit). When I simply questioned the owner about only getting one goat, she was abrupt and rude. She then said that I was the only person to question this...I asked others who were there, and they also thought they would get more than one animal to feed per party. She did give me a goat (rudely) then sent someone over 5 minutes later to take it away. My daughter was given a rabbit to feed but NO food. The rabbits were so scared that they were shaking (also they were too hot). They brought the rabbits out in plastic salad boxes, which were obviously too small. The goat we received had his horns cut recently, and there was still dried blood on his fur. So, if the owner is this rude to her customers, I can't imagine what the poor animals go through. Save yourself the money and heartache and stay as far away from this place as possible.... unless you plan on rescuing the animals! I would give negative stars if it were possible...TOTAL SCAM!!

Anava G.

Yelp
Yoga with goats was such a fun time. A very different experience but one I would repeat. The goats walking among the yoga students was very unique and fun. Suddenly there was more goat watching, petting, feeding then yoga but that was a good thing. It was a perfect night, perfect weather and a very large group participating. Have great photos of the event and not sure the goats on my back are Christmas card worthy but they will bring back a great memory. The staff was very welcoming and very enthusiastic about the working farm and all that it offers. Well worth a trip for a walk around of the farm and a great view of the lake. Will do it again soon!!!

L F.

Yelp
We went there for a little day adventure on a whim. When we got there they were closed, but then...They said "well it is about bottle feeding time, so come on in" :). It was an amazing experience! Fully interactive and the goats are wonderful as are all the members of the farm! We felt very welcome and were extremely popular with the goats during feeding time! Walking around the farm and enjoying the serenity was a good break and very peaceful. It had just rained so fair warning be ready to get muddy. We will definitely return to learn more and also enjoy all that company! Thanks! Highly Recommend!
