The service is good! The strawberry matcha was great & average pricing but the breakfast burrito isn't good at all. The hash browns were cold , the bacon looked strange, and the cheese wasn't even melted. I'm not sure as to how the kitchen preps these but go for the matcha & not the burrito because the price doesn’t match the quality.

This place has the perfect location. I ordered the breakfast burrito and their yummy latter with the pink cold foam. The sprinkles added a cute touch. Definitely recommend if you’re on the west side.

We tried regular Latte and a seasonal iced drink. Both are great! The milk form and latte art is pretty. The milk and espresso are mixed well which delivers a smooth taste. They also sell beans which they roasted locally in LA.

Nestled on a corner, this coffee shop offers both outdoor and indoor seating options. The indoor seating is quite unique that features bench seating along the wall with mini coffee tables and stools opposite them. The spacious middle area is equipped with tall coffee tables, though it lacks bar stools for seating, which I personally didn't mind. Also I can vision it being inviting for social events. I enjoyed an iced vanilla latte while getting some work done and found the atmosphere to be nice and chill. If you're on the hunt for a new coffee spot, this one is definitely worth the visit.

Such a cozy place to come for a drink. They have a couple of tables outside and a few inside. Their seasonal drinks are really good and their baristas are so kind.

This is my favorite go-to coffee shop. They have multiple single origin coffees that they rotate through. All of them taste really good. I love Ethiopia and Kenya. They also have Columbia, Laos that's really good. They've nailed coffee really well. I have had other coffee shops I've liked but when they rotate the coffee, some blends dont taste good. Marionette however is so damn good every single time. My go-to drink is iced oat milk latte.

We had the sugar cream top latte, vegemite top latte and vanilla latte, they were wonderfully good. pastries were amazing

They play eclectic music. They have a nice bench seat by the window and standing tables. It is Australian style. Which means have a quick coffee with a friend or a light meal. And then carry on with your day. Casual and not a place to turn into your office. Drinks are excellent. I get the black iced tea and choccy. I love their pastries. The pastries are made elsewhere. My favorites are the vegan pizza Danish, pumpkin coffee cake, and orange olive oil muffin. The service is excellent. I get there between 2 and 3:00. Never a wait. All the staff knows my name and regular order. I know most of their names. They go to a roasting place in downtown L.A. to roast their own beans. The staff decided to collect items for people who lost their SNAP funding. And if you lost your SNAP funding, they will give you a free coffee and free pastry. I give them an A+ for community. Very friendly and expert service. I love going there and reading my current book. Go there; you will love the airy, plant and music filled atmosphere.

My favorite coffee shop in the Palms Area I didn't know what Vegemite was before coming here, but their Vegemite Cream Top Latte totally won me over.The spinach danish is another favorite. When I've gone before work on weekday mornings around 8 a.m., they're super quick and efficient. Weekends do get busy, but totally worth the wait. I even buy their coffee beans to make coffee at home because I can't get enough.

Cute little corner shop. They have seating outside on the street and a couple inside. I got the sugar cookie latte and it was delicious (duh it's in the name). So sweet and the espresso was good. It even came with little sprinkles! My friend got the cold brew. It was fine. Not the best or the worst, but if you're a cold brew snob it's not the best haha.

I had this place once before and thought it was good but hadn't gone back in a few years. I drove by it today and remembered it so I stopped by to grab a coffee. I was delighted to see they revamped their menu. I got the sugar cookie latte which was absolutely delicious. I love that they're doing different flavor takes for cream tops to stand out in comparison to other coffee shops that use similar recipes. I will definitely be stopping by more often for the cookie latte!

This place has slowly become a neighborhood staple. It has a trendy aesthetic, but doesn't lack in flavor like some coffee shops. Their birthday cake latte is soooo good if you're into something a little more sugary and creamy. But they also have more coffee forward drinks. Their strawberry matcha is also really good. Some places will serve a matcha that tastes like a cup of milk, but theirs is nice and concentrated, with a perfect level of sweetness. Their chocolate chip cookies are also divine!

Sugar. Cookie. Cream. Top. I dream of you. I've been here twice and had the same barista who was nice. The service was pretty quick. The place hasn't been too crowded but people are in and out. There's mostly standing space in here and a few more lounge-type seats inside. There are also a few tables outside. This wouldn't be my first choice for a work remote spot, but I'd meet up with a friend here if there was room outside. It's Palms so it's all street parking. Both times there was a spot right outside available. Recommend next time you're on the west side.

Friendly staff, competitively priced drinks, and most importantly drinks that are well balanced. I'm not very well versed in coffee, but when a drink is off it's off (burnt, overly bitter or sweet) and when it's balanced and taste good it's good. The Little Marionette's latte and flat white (as a proper Aussie Cafe should) just flat out taste good and has distinct flavors. What I've really been enjoying is the Vegemite latte that combines salty, sweet, and a touch of funk in a wonderful treat. They even have the fancy lids for to-go hot drinks! Space is pretty minimal with a couple standing tables, a few low seats for enjoying but no places to really work or study.

As an Australian, I go out of my way to find Australian-owned coffee shops in the U.S. as it feels like a slice of home (and coffee in the U.S. can be pretty disappointing sometimes). The Little Marionette is not new, but I visited twice in July 2025 and can't believe that I didn't start coming here regularly before. I don't remember when this coffeeshop first opened, but I remember going when it first opened and not loving it. That changed with my two recent visits. Service is super friendly. Little Marionette is located in a residential area in Palms, so street parking is pretty easy to come by. We've never looked more than five minutes for a spot. The place seems to be popular, as there has always been a line when we've come. Ambiance is airy and minimal. They don't have a lot of seating that is optimal for working remote, and though there are tables, they are low. It would be a good spot for a quick coffee to go, or just sitting and enjoying your drink and a book. I loved that they offer a vegemite cream top latte. It's a really unique offering that is perfect for for coffee drinkers who like a bit of sweetness. It's not overly sweet and the vegemite taste is very mild. They have a couple of other interesting drink options that I want to try, including the sugar cookie cream top. Would highly recommend for a coffee shop on the west side.

It's Saturday and I chose to wake up a little early and branch out from my usual walking distance coffee shops to try some place new to get my first weekend caffeine fix. I used Google to look up places near me with good ratings, and I'm glad that they recommended The Little Marionette. The store is located at the bottom of an apartment building but has really cute interior as well as merch and a selection of their own blends of coffee beans. As soon as I walked up, this spot was already buzzing with definitely locals who all look like me, just woken up and ready for some good coffee and pastries. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and one of their pesto danishes, and both were delicious. Generous portions for both. I'll definitely come back to try more of their items the staff is super friendly, I love the laid-back atmosphere and it's in a nice tucked away neighborhood in Culver City. Highly recommend this spot!

It was refreshing, creamy, and not overly sweet -- just the right balance. The touch of sprinkles on top added a fun, playful twist. Service was pretty fast !

The Little Marionette is an Aussie-based coffee shop. They roast their coffee onsite every Monday. Have an Aeropress? You can pick up filters for $8. It's a small shop with a few stools so wouldn't make an ideal study/work space. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd walk here and make this my local spot to pick-up coffee. The parking is mainly street parking and throughout the neighborhood. For the drinks: The iced mocha is delicious - Smooth coffee, rich chocolate flavor, good value. One day I'll be brave enough to try the Vegemite cream top.

The coffee shop had a nice aesthetic and a decent selection of drinks. We went later in the afternoon so they didn't have any pastries. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the drink. I ordered a strawberry matcha, but it was literally just a regular matcha with freeze dried strawberries on top. It cost a $1 more than their normal matcha and had no strawberry taste whatsoever. I mean I don't get it or why they even offer a strawberry matcha if that's what they do. I even tipped and this is why I don't like tipping before I get my food.

Love to see a new cafe spring up in an unassuming corner of a neighborhood! This is a quiet cafe with lots of natural light inside, some seating inside and outside on the sidewalk. I've gotten a few coffees here, which I've liked a lot and were served up quickly. I also got an everything bagel cream cheese pastry which was divine. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the neighborhood!

Another Aussie coffee in town! Overly excited to know they're also super accessible for me and the comfy venue with natural lighting through the glass windows just brought it to the next level. The barista was very welcoming, making it felt just like our own neighborhood cafe right at first visit. We opted for their Vanilla Latte in hot and iced versions, each of which was awesome, showing the consistency. These cups of joe let me reminiscing the bold aromatic Aussie beans, which have been and is still my most favorite so far. Would definitely come back soon for more intriguing drink option, like Vegemite Cream Top perhaps? ;)

A charming little stop two blocks from my home. I wandered in and was treated like an old friend. My black cold brew was smooth, not acidic at all. I spied the Everything Cheese Danish, which was kindly heated in a convection oven, crispy outside and moist inside. What a neighborhood find!

Sparse space. Friendly service. I got a hot and a cold latte and a couple muffins for Mrs. A-F and me. All of the above were delicious, the lemon poppy seed muffin was a huge yum. Now, an iced latte seems simple enough, right? You've had a bunch of 'em, but this one was above and beyond. Why? Don't know, don't care, just keep making them like that. See you soon!!

Was driving through the area and found this cute lil cafecito spot. Street parking was pretty easy and unmetered. No line, industrialesque decor and seating, probably not the best for long work sessions, but with one outlet could be a cute stop in for a bit spot. Had an oatmilk latte and it was delicious. One of my favorite coffee shops in the area!! I've become a regular here, and each visit has been a great experience. There's a solid amount of seating, thought it's maybe not the best set-up to do work because indoors, there are a couple of standing tables and the other tables are the same height as the seats. The pastries are from Baked Bar, which is my go-to bakery in Palms/Culver - the almond financier is one of the best desserts I've ever had. They even heat them up for you here! Service is super friendly, and they have a wide variety of drinks that are also reasonably priced. I had the pumpkin spice latte recently and it was really good, and the matcha here is strong too. Highly recommend this spot!

Love this place! I stop in once a week since they've opened and they are consistently good and provide amazing service. I honestly think they have one of the best espressos in West LA. Also, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Their pastries are solid and change on occasion to keep things interesting.

4+ Brand new little corner coffee shop that opened in the Palms area at the base of a new apartment complex. I wanted to check this place out because it's really close to where I live. It's a really clean space... I don't know too much about the background of this place, but it seems to be very very popular. I came in here a little later in the morning so it wasn't super busy. I was able to order right away and get my coffee fairly quickly. I thought the coffee was great. I didn't get anything to eat this time around, but I'm hoping to get some next time. This spot looks like a great place to hang out with a friend or stop by on a morning walk with your pet. Also, if it matters, they sell bags of beans to go.

really good coffee. nice spot with friendly people and lots of dogs. natural light and a modern interior. vibes are chill. i like how the coffee packs a strong punch and has really creamy milk. perfectly made, especially on fridays. i avoid coming on thursdays because there's street sweeping in the mornings making it very difficult to park within the area. the breakfast burrito wasn't really that good. they warm it up and it's still lukewarm in the middle. bacon is like the instant precooked kind that's paper thin. the green cilantro sauce was good though. i got a really bad stomachache after eating it due to them like mass producing them and probably leaving them out on the counter. would not recc. i do recc the turkey provolone croissant tho. my absolute favorite. the flavor is really good, tastes even better warmed up! there's a wide variety of other pastries too.

Really cute neighborhood spot, but the cold brew was the worst coffee I've ever tasted. I'm not sure if it's just me, because it seems like based on prior review people either love the coffee, or hate it. I agree that the cold brew I had was almost burnt tasting and had an off aftertaste. Nothing like I've ever tried before, in a bad way. I couldn't even finish more than a few sips. I really wish I could leave a good review for a neighborhood coffee shop, but unfortunately this place really comes up short.

The latte here is good, not Blue Bottle good, but still good (4 out of 5). But I found the space oddly designed. It's not very inviting at all. There's ONE shared (and highly uncomfortable) bench that can only seat four groups of 2, and 2 standing tables. And lots of open space. That's it. So if you want to work, or sit and catch up with a friend, this isn't the place for it. The space feels very cold and uninviting. There are also NO outlets near the bench, so if you need to charge your phone, you have to just block everyone as you charge your phone near the water station. This coffee shop would be perfect if they set up more tables and chairs (real ones, not these shareable benches and kids' craft tables), plus some comfy couches or Z Chairs.

I stopped here for a quick mid-day pick me up and it did NOT disappoint! I got the sugar cookie cream top latte..and let me just say...10/10. I also was a little hungry and because I don't eat bacon, instead of the breakfast burrito, I got the vegan sandwich instead. (I'm not vegan though.) It's basically the best "sausage, egg, and cheese" you've ever had, minus the animal products. It tasted EXACTLY like a real sausage, egg, and cheese (maybe even better)!! Who even needs meat when a vegan sandwich tastes this good?! Anyways, this place is cute, clean, and straight to the point. Great coffee, great service, and yummy bites. Need I say more?! Run don't walk!!

This little coffee shop filled a need that I didn't even know we needed. I grew up a few blocks from here and my boyfriend lives down the street. This is a cute spot that makes really good drinks. They import their pastries from a bakery in Culver City (Baked Bar LA), but their coffee is authentic and delicious. I love the cups they serve when you get the drinks "for here". All the drinks are good especially their pour-overs. The seating isn't very comfortable, but is probably smart. Because if they had a couch I probably won't go home.

The Little Marionette brings more Australian coffee to LA on the edge of Palms. It's a cozy shop under a new apartment high rise that has limited seating and some standing room and is dog friendly. Coffee had good flavor that will make you consider buying their beans. Baristas are nice and easy to talk to as well.

If you appreciate seriously good coffee, this is the place for you! Great staff, ambiance, and roasts you can purchase as well.

So happy that a cute lil coffee shop opened in my neighborhood! Nothing beats an early morning or afternoon stroll to get a nice cup of caffeine in a lovely, warm, and cheery cafe. The service is very quick and friendly. The staff members were all very kind and conversational. There are ample bar height tables, some inside stools, and seating outdoors. I tried the pumpkin spice latte that was absolutely flavorful and divine. Definitely will be coming back!

The coffee place has a nice and warm indoor ambiance and seating area, however limited. Definitely not a spot for studying even an hour or so. Service was nice so were the baristas, kind and professional. However, this was the first time I couldn't drink an Americano in my life because of the odd taste and foul smell. It was their single origin coffee option. We really wanted to give this coffee shop a chance seeing other good reviews, perhaps their other non-coffee based drinks are amazing but not their single origin coffee beans, not sure.

I was in the area so I decided to try this place today. I got an iced cappuccino. It was good but my only complaint was that they don't do foam and it was more than a latte. It was very busy at 11am on a Saturday.

Went to their free coffee day and got a delicious mocha! So awesome to have a new place that's such an easy walk from me. Very friendly staff especially given all the people that turned out! They are pet friendly and if you ask they even have some dog treats. Very simple decor I anticipate they will put more tables out once the rush settles.

I heard Australians have some of the best coffee, and this place seemed pretty serious about espresso! The new cafe is bright and airy, and I found the flat white to be delicious and smooth! They do it the proper way though, so sizes run small but I found the prices to be fair. They had a beautiful pastry case and I was also happy with my olive oil citrus muffin too! It's nice to have more options in Palms, and I can see this place becoming a neighborhood favorite.

Delicious oat milk lattes were had on a Friday morning. We took ours to go but I can't wait to come here to get some work done or catch up with a friend. The seating inside is quite minimal - they have small tables quite close to each other against a window (see my photo) but they also have outdoor seating. Will definitely come back.

Ambiance: -Casual - not a place to study - chill with friends ok Food: - spinach pesto was delicious could've been warmed up a bit more (4/5) Drinks - iced vanilla latte (3.5/5) not very coffee forward and couldn't taste the vanilla much -matcha latte (3/5) very milky, not much creaminess - up charge for alternative milk Price: - $6-7 on a latte ( typical LA price unfortunately) -$5-6 for the pastry which isn't too bad actually Parking: - got lucky with street parking beware it is in a residential area Overall I would return for the food but the drinks didn't stand out to me unfortunately.

Our go-to coffee spot on the Westside! The Little Marionette is the ONLY place in LA that does flat white right. All of their coffee drinks are great. Pastries are also delicious - my favorite is the citrus olive oil cake. The people who work here are always pleasant. Never change!!

I stopped by their free coffee day one Saturday! What a way to say hello to the neighborhood! Free coffee? Count me in! Super friendly staff and very talented baristas. I tried their flat white and pesto danish pastry. Both very tasty. They didn't have an oven yet to warm up pastries, hopefully soon! Coffee was on the house so I can't complain. It's nice to have another coffee shop option in the neighborhood. Welcome to Palms!

Love it! Great coffee you can really taste the flavors in the roast. If I lived closer I would definitely come back. It doesn't have much of a study area or proper seating though. I do know it's newly opened so maybe they'll be slowly adding them. The Barista told me he did the roasts himself and further went on to tell me that he was one of the co founds if I understood correctly. Either way very sweet and kind people!

I love places that have savory pastries, and their spinach pesto danish was amazing! I also enjoyed the lemon muffin. Our drinks however weren't amazing -- my boyfriend didn't love his dirty chai and my strawberry matcha (while having good strawberry flavor) had a really strange aftertaste, maybe the matcha was burnt or low quality? I'd come back for the food but unfortunately the drinks missed for us.

So, I live right around the corner and was delighted to hear there was a new coffee place opening up. Walking in, I noted the shop's nice, clean esthetic. It was quite busy but not stultifyingly so. Floor to ceiling windows offered lots of light. As I waited in line, I noticed that the guys behind the counter were pleasant and professional. All good so far, right? Well... Then I paid for my order (I'd asked for a large cappuccino) and, with tip, the bill came to almost $6. For six bucks I figured I'd at least be getting a large cup of cap. Not so. The cup, while expertly prepared with that cute little coffee/steamed milk design that good baristas can create, was only slightly larger than my dentist's rinse cups. (See photo, and, yeah, the mug next to it is rather on the larger side, but still...) Yes, the coffee was quite good and packed the energetic punch I needed need that day but, well, like 2 gulps worth - and I'm not exaggerating. Disappointing.

The Little Marionette is such a nice edition to the neighborhood. The space is open with lots of natural light and outside seating. Salem was wonderful in being welcoming, getting our order efficiently and warming up our pastry. We will be back soon! Thank you!

Had a genuinely incredible flat white here this morning. Now, i go through coffee like a hot knife through butter due to the fact i regularly hit the road early to beat the soul crushing traffic on the 405 so it takes a lot to impress me but this was truly faultless. Will definitely be incorporating this great little place into my coffee rotation. Well done to all involved
