This is a great little ride for kids. It's fine even for adults. It's perfect when it's a hot day outside, and you want to cool off and take it easy for a moment. It's nice, it's fun, it's really well done. Reminds us of our childhood growing up with this classic.

Google
This is amazing. We completely missed it 2 years ago, and I wish we hadn't. It's an AC cooled dark ride following the story of The Little Mermaid. The ride is slow, lasts a few minutes. We did it first thing Wednesday morning and were able to walk right on. The animatronics in this ride have a very uncanny valley effect going on, so if that disturbs you, you may want to look at it ahead of time. The Ursula animatronic was pretty cool.

Google
Hands down my daughter's favorite ride. She loves the movie and the songs with the colorful blue light neon and dancing. The line moves pretty fast and it's perfect for kids of all ages. We came here first thing in the morning and got to go through a few times. Some of the animatronics are older, but it's still an awesome layout and a magical experience.

Google
The Little Mermaid was my favorite movie growing up, and just watching Ariel and other characters singing their iconic songs in an underwater setting is a dream come true. Luckily with my fastpass I didn't have to wait at all, and the extra payment was totally worth it. It is a ride for all ages, catchy songs, great atmosphere and a really professional team. I think this one was one of my favorite Magic Kingdom rides, and my nephews loved it.

Google
This ride is perfect for young kids and there's almost never a wait to get on! The big Ursula might scare some small children but the rest of the ride is so fun and magical!!

Google
My first time going on this ride and it was everything that I dreamed of. This was the ride. I wanted to go on as a kid the most, and now to be able to experience it as an adult was everything I ever wanted this ride will have you in all of your feels as you go through the whole story of Little mermaid and even the story of Ursula getting her voice it definitely makes you feel like you’re part of the cast and like you’re actually in the little mermaid movie. This one definitely brought tears to my eyes, and I can’t believe how much detail disney put into this.

Google
One of my favorite rides at DCA. Its very colorful. It’s very relaxing and it’s cool inside. It’s great to ride on a hot Sunday day. Lines go by quick. I think I’ve waited about a hour before but which a snack and a drink you’ll be fine! Time goes by quick 🤗

Google
Lightning lane allowed us to hop right on. Classic Disney ride as the vehicle takes you through an abbreviated version of the Little Mermaid. Zaddy Triton was just as the internet said.

Yelp
Hubby, our daughters and I really enjoyed this fun family classic, inspired by the film! I LOVE karaoke and so I especially enjoyed singing along to all the songs he he! Nice it's baby friendly and they keep it nice in cool if you're trying to escape the heat as well! I would definitely recommend this ride located at Paradise Gardens Park inside Disney California Adventure Park! We'll definitely return! :-)
google avatar

Kiyo M.

Yelp
The only positive was there was no wait at all for this -- I can see why... I wouldn't wait more than 5 minutes for this ride. There's really no wow factor and the animatronics look kind of creepy looking. It's a conveyer belt type, so the ride is constantly moving/you'll see some empty seats around. This ride first came out in 2011. Unless you're a diehard Little Mermaid fan, it's honestly whatever. It's a basic "Fantasyland" dark ride type.

Yelp
A cute attraction that often features short waits. Worthy of a look if you're walking by. Certainly a nice one for the little people. Very enjoyable experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Little Mermaid is a cute ride accessible for all ages and I love that it has short lines. The storyline for the ride is that you board a seashell and follow Ariel's adventure from the Little Mermaid, going underwater to see scenes like Ursula taking Ariels voice and Ariel playing in her treasure cave.
google avatar

Chelle S.

Yelp
This ride is underrated! It was a delight, and they have the original little mermaid ‍! The rides follows the storyline, but there's a chunk missing at the end. Nonetheless, very enjoyable.
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
Cute little ride located in the Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure. The ride is based off the popular Disney animated film "The Little Mermaid". The building where the ride is located looks like an old-school aquarium. Guests enter a two-person Omnimover vehicle and descend "underwater" where you encounter Ariel, Flounder and the evil Ursula. It is a ride that was created for kids and families, but "Little Mermaid" fans will love it too. It is always nice when Disney comes up with new rides for their classic movies.
google avatar

Diele K.

Yelp
A classic attraction from when Disney California Adventure opened. A nice escape from the heat if it's a sunny California day. Definitely has me feeling nostalgic to my childhood when it was released. Be sure to check this attraction out if you haven't already, whether a child or an adult. NEW! This attraction now offers a lightening lane if you purchased Genie+ for your Disney day.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Such a great interpretation of one of my favorite Disney movies! If you love The Little Mermaid as much as me (actually I'm team Ursula lol!), you need to ride it.
google avatar

Rosabell M.

Yelp
The Little Mermaid ride at California Adventure Park is a great way to escape the heat and take a break. The line moves quickly, and the ride itself offers a calm, relaxing experience. Although it occasionally breaks down, as it did during our visit, the brief pause was actually a welcome relief, allowing us to enjoy the cool indoor environment after being outside for a while. Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable ride!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
This ride is suitable for all ages and heights. Dive beneath the sea for a charming musical voyage filled with scenes from the beloved Disney animated classic. It's an attraction brimming with music and fun! Take a seat in a seashell and immerse yourself in the experience.
google avatar

Arnel D.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. It's one of the best rides in terms of not having to wait too long Just the perfect amount of time to duck out from the heat during the summer. It's become more popular due to the soon to be released movie. I visited again just to be able to feel young again.
google avatar

Yelp
A dark ride through scenes of Disney's The Little Mermaid. Black lights make the vibrant colors pop. The ride moves quickly through the scenes. Between the speed of the ride, and everything going on, it's hard to really take everything in. If the ride was one of the early rides at Disneyland and opened in the 1960's, I would probably feel differently about the ride. I would probably say the ride is nostalgic. Having opened in 2011, even when I first rode it then, it felt outdated. The ride still fells outdated. This was the only ride at DCA my children didn't talk about after disembarking. It was just kind of there. For big The Little Mermaid fans, this ride is probably much more appreciated.

Yelp
My kids haven't seen "The Little Mermaid" yet, but I grew up with it and even remember a sing-along laser disc with animation from the movie playing as lyrics scrolled across the bottom of the screen. This is not to say I would've ridden Ariel's Undersea Adventure if I weren't with two children under the age of four, but I did enjoy the attraction. This was our one-year-old's first Disney ride. There was no height limit, and it was pretty great for both him and his three-year-old brother. The line was nice and short, too--so short, in fact, that my husband and I had to slam our beers as we blitzed our way to the front. The four of us clambered into our clamshell and took a leisurely tour of Ariel's journey, basically the CliffsNotes version of "The Little Mermaid" (Disney's, not the one where she dies and turns into bubbles), with lots of songs and animatronics. It was cute and well done, and my boys were mesmerized. If you're visiting California Adventure with small kids, Ariel's Undersea Adventure is definitely a top place to hit. Bonus points if you still know the words to "Part of Your World."
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
On our last ride of Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure I realized the animatronics are looking a little rough. The ride hasn't aged that well and definitely needs some sprucing to make it feel more realistic and less puppety. That being said, the wait for the ride is usually not too bad, and you get a shell to your party, so the music and lights alone make it a worthwhile ride stop, especially if you have little ones. Personally, I think the ride would be better suited to Disneyland's Fantasyland, however due to the 'Mr. Toad's' level of energy they put into the location's outside decor, I doubt it's high on the list for any changes.

Yelp
The Little Mermaid is a condensed 3 minute ride of the entire picture. One of the reasons for its popularity is that the queue lines are under shelter and you are in a/c part of the way. It helps to get out of the heat now and then. The line does move fairly quickly as the moving clamshells are on a belt that do not stop. A cast member will direct you as to which one to take. You can take pictures but because of the movement they can get to be blurry. You follow Ariel though highlighted scenes as depicted in her songs. Watching "Under the sea" was my favorite part where you can immerse yourself in the journey of better life under the water. Ursula appears with her "poor unfortunate soul" and transforms Ariel into a human in exchange for her voice. Ariel meets Prince Erik and the show rapidly races to its conclusion-destruction of Flotsom and Jetsom as well as Ursula and then King Triton giving his beloved princess away in marriage. It's a sweetheart of a ride and a popular attraction. Located at the far end of Paradise Gardens park near the entrance to Pixar Pier in CA Adventure.

Yelp
Thank goodness the little mermaid is so cold. The side of the park it's really hot there's not too many trees and I can get quite difficult. Go cool off under the sea #5StarMermaidVibes
google avatar

Yelp
Little mermaid ride is pretty great! Also a plus is A/c in the summer is a plus! It's a quick loader so usually a shorter line although since adding genie plus the lines have gotten longer.
google avatar

Britney M.

Yelp
Such a cute ride! I love how this is based off of the original Litte Mermaid movie. It's fun and nostalgic at the same time. The ride actually lasts a good amount of time. It's an easy ride, a nice break from walking. You sit in a sea shell and go "under the sea" for an adventure. It walks you through the different scenes from the movie. And of course it ends with a happy ending. :)
google avatar

Joann V.

Yelp
3.5 stars Another kids ride that brings back wonderful memories of the animated version of the little mermaid. Also, a great way to escape the summer heat. The concrete floor has a bunch of seashells incorporated into it, lending a festive beachy touch. Wait times in the morning is virtually non-existent, but, at its busiest, the wait can get to 20-25 minutes long.
google avatar

Gail U.

Yelp
Little girls especially might be thrilled to go on this ride. The colors of the scenery are pretty and the songs match the movie. The sea creatures and other characters look great but for some reason we noticed the eyes of Ariel don't do her justice. The costumes, build of her is very nice and pretty but the eyes only look like she's stoned or had plastic surgery and belongs else where. I can't look at her eyes and avoid them by glancing elsewhere. Nevertheless we usually ride this more than once as the lines are short or almost nonexistent when we arrive.
google avatar

Amie L.

Yelp
What a magical time under the sea. This ride slaps! It's sooo colorful and magical. It makes me so happy. The music is at perfect volume. The paint jobs on this world is pristine. I feel like I'm under the sea with the fishies each time. I admire the fluorescent color scheme, it is just like the movie! I wouldn't give it 5 stars because every time I ride, I get stuck in a few of the areas. To make this 5 stars, I would have had to not get stuck on the ride at least 1/10 times. 20 min wait time, cute queue, you can't go wrong with The Little Mermaid! Also, I'm gay but Tritons bod is top notch.
google avatar

Spencer Q.

Yelp
Another fun character movie ride. It's one of the newer ones and I love that it is similar to Peter Pans adventure where you actually feel like you submerge under water. The good thing about this ride too is that the line typically isn't that long.
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
I like this ride for multiple reasons. The first reason being that the lines here are generally very short. On our last visit, we only waited five minutes. The movie is great (one of my favorite Disney Classics), and the lines are in the shade, so you don't have to worry about getting sunburnt! In addition, the ride is real pretty. It's got a great storyline and the colors are great. You're seated on a seashell, which is very appropriate for going "under the sea".
google avatar

Lillian W.

Yelp
Ok. I rode this ride. It is a kiddo ride. If you're curmudgeon and have doubts about riding it; then it's not for you. The tater tots will love it due to the cool graphics and catchy sing along songs. Plus even though the ride is inside (air conditioned) in the dark, there are no scares or thrills. No height requirement. I have never seen the Little Mermaid movie. If you're in the same boat like me, no worries. This ride will catch you up to speed. It's a mini condensed version of the movie compete with cool movie graphics and singing animated statues. The storyline is typical 20th century Disney plot... girl meets boy... fall in love but not without conflict...and in the end live happily ever after. Awww. And of course, that catchy song "Under the Sea" will stay in your mind for quite awhile. Considered yourself forewarned ;D In the queue there is not much to look at as you make your way to the front. The ride carriage is a big seashell that fits 2 adults comfortably. The ride is in the Paradise Gardens in California Adventure park.
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
If you or your kids are fans of the Little Mermaid, this ride is for you! You will feel immersed in Ariel's world and find yourself singing along to all of your favorite Little Mermaid songs. The wait time is always short for this ride and it moves pretty fast. The ride has broken down on us a few times, but we still love it regardless!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
If you need a break from walking, this is the ride to go on. Air conditioning and just an overall cute ride.
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
Usually when I came here in the past the line was not very long, but this time there was a noticeable line. I originally wanted our party leader to come here with their younger members but they already had a reservation booked for something else. The ride is a dark ride through the story of the animated Little Mermaid film. As of the time I went it didn't look like it had anything related to the live action ones, not that I have a lot of information on the newer one anyway. It skips over the final battle, which is a noticeable difference from the Snow White ride. As far as enjoyment is concerned I think it is pretty nostalgic for those that grew up on The Little Mermaid, and relaxing enough to calm oneself if one has been walking and standing in lines for hours, though not if the line is overly long since there is no in-line entertainment. The boarding is constant movement, so it's not like one can take their time dragging their stuff into the vehicle.
google avatar

Vivian C.

Yelp
Jumping jellyfish! What a cute ride! I've been here a few times, but I think they've added a few more things to make it a little more beautiful! Parts of it really radiates the magic of being under the sea. Lots of major scenes and music from the film that makes me want to go back home to rewatch the movie. Definitely a great ride for Little Mermaid fans or even just ocean themed fans! The only thing I would say is that this ride broke down several times while we were sitting in the shell staring into the darkness that's supposed to transition to the next scene of the movie while hearing Sebastian's voice talking about how the ride will go on soon lol

Yelp
A chill ride, of the same ilk as those in Fantasyland & the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=AxyyqSSWU8I800OR8DxB8Q&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Located at the entrance to Pixar Pier, Ariel's Undersea Adventure is a storybook ride. In line with the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan & Pinocchio, the passenger cars are continuously moving, keeping the line speeding along, in a prompt matter. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=g-g84ztFSPFyHQPbhF2nxQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA The animatronics of the various Little Mermaid character's are good to decent, and it's hard not to sing along to "Kiss the Girl", "Under the Sea" & "Part of Your World." Being indoors with an oceanic theme, Ariel's Undersea Adventure's climate control is kept nice & cool. Perfect for hot summer days. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=kG1S6x5YfFHeEz24HBMaBQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Ariel's Undersea Adventure is classic Disneyland, just located in California Adventure. Yelp
There are amusement park rides that have a long wait because cars are few and far between. And then there's the Little Mermaid ride which does the opposite - having a continuous stream of cars, one right after the other, meaning that riders can be loading and unloading every couple seconds! This ride at California Adventure is one of Disney's slow rides. Each car, shaped like a seashell, comfortably seats two riders, though two adults with a kid could probably fit into one car. The ride features music, animatronics, and colorful displays, and it progresses through the story of The Little Mermaid. However, the ride skips over important details of the movie, basically (spoiler alert) all of the conflict in between when Ariel first becomes human and the ending when she marries Eric. Ursula is present, but only as a prop. Hmm... Not to mention, though the animatronics are generally done well, the look of Ariel feels a bit off. Several other reviewers said the same thing, calling Ariel's face creepy. Seems like there's an "uncanny valley" effect going on here. So why the 4 stars? Well, when the wife and I came by here, there was no wait at all, unlike all the other rides that day. Most of the cars were empty. And though the story was a bit simplified, the Under the Sea portion was done really well. This part happens in a large room and you have dancing lobsters, spinning starfish, seahorses doing a conga line, and more. You have so much going on and all the ocean animals are partying it up like there's no tomorrow. It's awesome. So yeah, definitely do this ride if you have 10 minutes to spare and the wait is negligible. If there's a significant wait, then my recommendation is to skip the ride and find a video of it on YouTube.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
5/5 If you ever watched the little mermaid Or even if you haven't Just get on this ride And have fun
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I don't mean to discount the rest of the ride but Triton's bod is a ten! I mean can I get me some of that. Any guy in his 60's that wants to approach me has to take off his shirt match this. Forget about Disney's unrealistic women bodies, I have seen girls with bodies like theirs. However Triton's body just doesn't happen in nature. Next chip and dales night we are skipping and coming on my new favorite ride "Triton's Bod!"
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
Ariel is right outside of the pier area, over looking World of Color. One of the only rides that is like the Fantasy Land in CAA. Ride is pretty basic storybook. Follows Little Mermaid pretty well. 5 stars because there was no wait, kids enjoyed it, and I had 5 minutes to sit in peace.
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure is located in Disney's California Adventure at the entrance of Pixar Pier. The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure is also located at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. The ride is identical. This ride is a family ride at Disney California Adventure. You'll journey under the sea and meet Ariel with her friends while stumbling upon Ursula. If you enjoy the Little Mermaid movie by Disney, you'll love this ride. It's a conveyor belt type ride and very similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion or Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters. You'll walk slowly into your little mermaid clam shell. The ride is fully AC and it is a nice break especially on a warm sunny California summer day! The wait time is pretty low for this ride. It typically does not get longer than 30 minutes. The scenes are decorated beautifully and the animatronics are amazing for this ride. This ride is for any height and all ages. It's a slow, dark, ride, but bright and beautiful at times. It's one of my favorite rides at Disney's California Adventure!
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
These four stars are at the bequest of my granddaughter(s)... They love, Love, LOVE the Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure. Me... I find it cutesy and borderline humorous. Is it just me or are all of the Ariel's sprinkled throughout the ride butt funky ugly or what? Really Disney? I think you can do better. Much better. But, I digress. The ride and it's "storyline" are the "Reader's Digest" condensed version of the movie, (minus the onboard chubby sported by the minister during the wedding scene), along with some others that are skipped over... Lines into the ride are typically pretty short and move along swiftly. Strategically located, (for me at least), to purchase an adult beverage either before or after enjoying the underwater shenanigans and hilarity Ariel and company endure. Bottom line... I love it because my grandbabies do and that's good enough for me!!!
google avatar

Stacy K.

Yelp
I have always loved mermaids and The Little Mermaid is no exception. I love this movie, the soundtrack, the characters. I have even stayed at Art of Animation at Disney World in the Ariel room, I love being part of this world. So I was happy to take a ride under the sea. It was fun. We loved the animatronics and music. The shell car is very cute theming. The ride did stop often. But the one thing I was confused by was the entire Ursula/ Ariel conflict. They showcased basically the entire movie except the epic battle at the end. They sort of skipped that part and went right to the marriage and the happily ever after. I liked this ride, but would like to see the boat battle scene between King Triton and Ursula.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
Can I even review this attraction if I haven't see the movie? LOL. I know I have to fix this ASAP. Another dark ride, which is always a plus IMO, and it sits partly between Grizzly River Run and the Pixar Pier. If it's a hot day I highly suggest stopping here for a quick respite if you're heading to PP or vice versa. Everything water, everything calming and soothing, which is sometimes VERY needed at the park. :) I like that you enter the ride in a similar fashion as HM and you ride through at an (obvi) leisurely pace. Yes I am going to watch the movie and I will end that this soundtrack as gotten me through many a bad mood. Ursula is loud and proud and the story of The Little Mermaid warms my old, cold, lonely heart.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
This ride doesn't get old. Line isn't ever dreadfully long. Great for the little ones. Our toddler is obsessed and wants to ride this ride all the time. Not to mention it is cool and not an uncovered outside ride. There's so parts where air is blowing so a little chilly. Ursula and the dark spots scare the kiddos if your kids are a little timid but I don't think enough to not ride the ride. Beware ride stops for whatever reason randomly... not every time you ride the ride but it does happen frequently. We quite enjoy it because you just get to sit inside longer, lol.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Anyone that loves this iconic Disney movie, will love this ride. It's a nice ride for young and old. People mover type conveyor belt style ride ( think Haunted Mansion). If it's chilly out, which it was this time, it's warm inside here so we got a nice little warm up from the cold outside as an added benefit. During the Summer, vice versa, with a nice dose of a/c. You can sit down and enjoy a nice little journey through Ariel's world and a quick version of the story. There is usually a small wait too or at least every time we go on it. The park was packed and this had a 5 minute wait....nice. It's a bit old school but in a nice way that makes you feel nostalgic for vintage Disney where animatronics are king.
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
While this ride is definitely more geared towards children, its a fantastic ride to jump on to COOL OFF! The AC kicks on this ride, and its amazing on a hot day. The line is almost never long, and if it is, it moves fast. Ive never waited more than 10 - 15 minutes. There is a lot to look at on this ride, and if its really slow, a lot of times you can ride a second time and enjoy another full blast of that AC.
google avatar

Ann T.

Yelp
Cute ride and generally has a super quick wait. Generally doesn't take longer than 10 minutes since your "shell" that you ride on are continuously moving. The ride takes you through the general story of "The Little Mermaid" and has all the key, memorable songs that you can't help to sing along with. For me, my favorites were how cute Flounder was and all the funny revolving sea stars. However, tbqh, Ariel herself looked kinda derpy with how her eyes and expressions were in comparison to all the other humanoid characters...
google avatar

Raychel R.

Yelp
Very cute ride! I love all the animatronics, especially the fish in the "under the sea" room. It's also a perfect ride for a hot day as it's air conditioned, you're sitting, and it's a pretty long ride for a theme park. It's usually a walk on, so you rarely have to wait. Woohoo!
google avatar

Luis A.

Yelp
I like this ride. It's right there over looking the pier and ferris wheel. This is a nice filler ride that if you time it right, can go on it with virtually no wait time while you are killing time for your fastpass time to arrive. It is just like Winnie The Pooh's ride in Disneyland but with Little Mermaid theme. Last time I came here, the ride broke down for a good ten minutes while we were in the part where they were singing Under da Sea. It was a fun ride. All of the times I have come to CA Adventure, I have gone on this ride. It truly is fun. (One time we tried fitting four of us in one of the shells but they wouldn't let us :( It was still fun though!)
google avatar

Cassandra F.

Yelp
This ride did my mermaid loving heart well. It's easy to get into, never a very long line, and a nice break from some of the more intense things at California Adventure. Kid me would have absolutely loved this ride...adult me was pretty fond of it too, as was my mermaid loving daughter. Not my son's favorite ride, but not really aimed at him either.
google avatar

Mirna E.

Yelp
Great ride for young kids. My 2-year old enjoyed this ride. It's similar to the Haunted Mansion seating where you walk on a moving walkway to catch a clam and sit down. Nice ride to cool off and relax. My daughter enjoyed looking at all the colorful fish and listening to the music. Would definitely recommend this ride for little kids!

Yelp
I think this ride could be really amazing but... it's a one track multi dune buggy ride and is very dependent on the Guests getting on the ride with quick grace. When they have guests who need help with getting out of scooters and other transportation devices the track Must Stop completely so others may get on the ride safely. The continuity of the ride stops quite frequently. It's the nature of the one track and the guests ability to get on and off. So start and stop can't be an issue. If it was perfect this ride would be so much better.

Yelp
My favorite Disney Princess ride. Great FX, with holograms to animatronics. I find it to be a fast line, even if it's a long one. ALSO, very relaxing and refreshing after walking around the park, with cool air and mist. Mr. Limpett is secretly hidden in the early part of the ride, just like he's hidden in the movie. He's seen at angle that goes behind you Clam car at the first major animatronics display. Really enjoy this one. It's a "you have to" for the park.

Yelp
What's the best ride to chillax in after you've stuffed yourself silly at the 2019 (March/April) Food and Wine Festival??? Why, The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure, of course!!! Located inside Disney California Adventure Park and right in front of Paradise Pier. Wait Time: About 10mins in line. You don't need a Fast Pass and there's no Single Rider line either. The clamshell ride itself is 6.5 mins. This ride instantly makes me happy, light and magical. Not only that, The Little Mermaid movie also holds a special place in my heart. Other than it being a wonderful movie, I also got my very first German Shepherd puppy and I named him Max after Prince Eric's dog. Which also brings me to this point: There's no animatronic of Prince Eric's Sheepdog, Max?!? He got gypped!!! How many people can fit into the clamshell? Ideally, for 1-2 people. You can fit 3 people, but it might be a little cozy and tight, lol! Then again, just use your best judgement. My two friends and I fit into one clamshell and we were fine for 6.5 mins, lol! Once you hop into the clamshell ride, just sit back and relax. There's no mysterious drops or weird jerking motions along the ride. Think of it like a lazy river motion. You'll go through the whole movie in 6.5 mins, hehe! Best of all, it's nicely ventilated inside and so if you're hot or sweating, the cool breeze will be so welcoming. The animatronics are friendly, cheerful and funny, even Ursula doesn't look or sound that scary. The ride will delight the young kids and the kids in all of us. Employees: The staffers here are nice and friendly from beginning to end. Overall, I enjoyed this ride very much. Just slightly bummed that Prince Eric's dog, Max isn't in the picture. It would've been cute to see Max standing next to Prince Eric when he married Ariel...

Yelp
This is a really cute ride at Disney California Adventure Park! Riding in a clam shell! Watching movie clips! Hearing familiar songs! It's all good! The line to get in moves quite quickly. The ride is smooth, so little kids won't be too scared - just have them close their eyes if they don't like the part with Ursula, the Sea Witch. The dancing and singing by Ariel, Sebastian, and company are fun! Just look for the building that reminds you of a certain San Francisco tourist attraction... it's beautiful!
