"It’s not often that restaurants in Oslo are influenced by British cuisine, but that’s exactly what you’ll find at this minimally decorated neighbourhood bistro. During the day, it opens as a bakery, offering sourdough, pastries and light bites, while in the evening operations such as London's St. John are the inspiration for the kitchen, with dishes like beef brisket pie & mash providing suitably gutsy flavours and hearty generosity. On Sundays, this is the place to go for a traditional roast dinner, while the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere are a given every day of the week." - Michelin Inspector

Very nice place with good prices! ✨ Definitely recommending to anyone in Oslo. We ordered the set menu, it was 585 kr (around 50 euro) and the amount is very sufficient. It starts with a pickle dish, then comes a potato+cod fish plate, then a really tasty sourdough bread + butter, then the meat+creamy beans (beans were very tasty!), then the desert. The staff is really nice, they explain every dish with detail. Cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food.

We tried the bakery and had the BMO (Bolle med ost, or bread with cheese). It’s so simple, yet so good. Definitely a favorite! The egg salad was also excellent, and paired with a latte, it made for a perfect morning meal. I also had a choux à la crème, but felt the cream could have been a bit more flavorful, as it came across a little bland. I’ll probably try another pastry next time!

Came for the Sunday roast and it was probably one of the best meals you can have in Oslo. Not a big fan of soup, but I really enjoyed the one they gave me. The main dish was pork belly that cooked perfectly and a bread pudding with vanilla creme was the perfect way to end the meal.

Disappointed by kind of bland food. Duck hearts was our best dish. The rest was okay. Not much flavors and quite shy of our expectations. Staff were nice but kept forgetting our order.

I’m happy that now they have a bakery as well. They have absolutely delicious almond croissant and small sourdough sandwich bread. I really liked the cinnamon bun too. Normally my fav is cardamom bun but the cardamom bun here lacks a bit of sweetness (I don’t like it too sweet either). But otherwise, the dough is very soft and delicious. Their plain croissant and sourdough loaf bread are also pretty good. 07.09.2025: We just tried the sunday roast here and it was truly heartwarming! We had a menu consisted of creamy mushroom soup with smoked bacon, green salad, glazed yellow beets, roasted potatoes, kale with garlic, and roasted chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling. The soup, kale, beets, and chicken were my favs. The soup was legendary. As desserts, we had lemon panna cotta with plum sauce and apple crumble. The lemon panna cotta was very good; sweet, tangy, and mildly sour. This was a wonderful experience and highly recommended especially for small friend groups.

Delightful staff, vibes, coffee, and food!!!! Got the sourdough with cheese and butter then had to go back (twice) for the quiche because it’s so good. Perfect to take away and sit in the botanical gardens.

Best pastry in Oslo! Fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious—every bite was a little piece of heaven. I had a flat white, and it was spot on—smooth, rich, and just the right strength. Cozy vibe, great service. Love it! 😍😍

It’s a great place for a dinner, which can be a la carte or adjust for your food preferences: pescatarian or vegetarian/meat. Spacious dining area with some big company tables, good for a romantic dinner or friends hanging. Extensive wine card and some beer options. Friendly service and delicious food and bread
