The South Beach roll, featuring chilled lobster, bacon, avocado, and slaw, is a must-try for those seeking bold flavors. The Cajun lobster roll is another standout option, served warm with Cajun seasoning and sauce. Oh, and there’s also a location on Lincoln Road." - Amber Love Bond

19 Spots in Miami for Refreshing Summer Cocktails | Eater

"Lobster Shack, a mom-and-pop seafood restaurant, began slinging the best lobster rolls in Miami almost a century ago. They’ve perfected the art of this iconic sandwich as well as oysters, fish tacos and more — all made to order in a setting reminiscent of the lobster joints of Cape Cod. At the Miami Beach location, the Grey Goose lemonade, a boozy taste on a classic summer drink, will be your sandwich’s perfect mate." - Vox Creative

We had an incredible experience at The Lobster Shack in Miami, thanks to Chico and Brittany! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Chico made sure we felt right at home, and Brittany was super attentive and friendly the whole time. You can really feel the good vibes here. If you’re in Miami and craving seafood, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back! 🦞🔥

We ate outside because it was a little dark inside. The ladies working were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Lobster Combo, Salmon taco, fish taco and the lobster bisque. Everything I ordered had perfect flavor. Very delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

Google
Good non-pretentious seafood. I'd say better than in the tourist trap that is the center of Ocean drive. Stone crab, oysters, snow crab legs, and lobster tacos - all absolutely hit the spot and were well prepared.

Google
I sat outside by the door, the service wasn't too fast or overwhelming after giving you the menu. I ordered the Alaskan King Crab with garden salad and a virgin Pina colada. They seemed to bring it out as soon as it was done steaming. It was 2 pieces of crab came with 2 lemons and a side, silverware, empty bowl. The crab was steamed and had cuts on the shell that made it easier the open, it took me 12 minutes to get the meat out the shell because of the thorns on the shell, I was being extra careful. The crab was fresh, it didn't have or leave a strong seafood smell at all. I mainly ate it with the lemon, it was quite filling, I took the piece I had left over home and finished it, it was delicious even cold. Service was smooth, peaceful.

We came here after a beach day. The lobster rolls were good, the portions are small for the price! The lobster bisk was okay, I would not recommend. The clam chower was better. The lobster Mac & Cheese Meh. Overall, the foid was okay! Our waitress was helpful & kind.

Google
This food is tasty through and through. The freshness of the seafood makes you thi know the cook caught at the time of your order. We ate here twice. The servers are friendly and polite.

Google
I ordered the spicy lobster roll, a lobster bisque, a fish taco and a seared tuna taco. The food and service. The lobster bisque had a great flavour and texture to it, best I have ever had. The lobster roll had a lot of meat and was worth it. I think everyone should try lobster shack at least once. The only downside being the price and the 18% service charge.

Google
Lobster Shack is the bees knees. Food is pricey but worth it. The service is top notch and the waiters/waitresses remember locals and frequent visitors. I always get the poisidon roll and lobster bisque. La Rubia on tap and they make a great cosmo. Local tip: get the cilantro ranch and dip kettle chips in it. My wife left her phone here the other day and they found it and plugged it in so it would be charged up when we came back for it. Also, the owner is super nice and the kind of person you love to support.

Yelp
Should you go? Maybe So living in Vegas I love good food! I know good food. I really wanted to like this place and rate it higher but just couldn't. I always start with 5 and deduct for reasons. So the ambiance is excellent. 5 star experience for sure. Can even be romantic for a cute little dinner date, regular date night type vibe. The drinks came out super fast, we both had Miami Vice. They tasted nonalcoholic but had a shot of Bacardi Rum. The drinks were $12 a piece....eh. It's giving more $6/7. Im also a licensed bartender so I'm being gracious and thinking fiscally. Now granted, they are priced for location but again eh. The lobster bisque was 3/10, honestly Walmart marketplace version is better... seemed to be heat up soup, sign was the way it was separating as soon as she brought it. At a lobster place I expected to have a few lumps of lobster but nada. The clam chowder was the same... The lobster roll was chewy. A good lobster should break and flake in your mouth ESPECIALLY for $25... a sandwich the size of my hand with even less meat was also a let down. Flavor was lacking as well. If you're comparing to New Orleans It's a 1.5....I REALLY wanted to like it more but after everything it was $108 for 2 drinks, 2 soup and 2 rolls and mandatory gratuity of $15. That's not the quality of meal for the price. Slash prices in half and I could rate it comparably... So should you go? Eh It's not a place I would have people go. If you happen to be close and starving, I guess..

Yelp
Giving a 3, but really mean 3.5. We ordered fish, lobster and shrimp tacos and all were good but needed either some sauces or spice to help with the flavor. The lobster was soft but the taco itself lacked flavor. I would go back for fish or shrimp. We also had both the regular and guava jalapeño margaritas. The regular good but the guava jalapeño was great! Had to get seconds, would recommend! The service was good and our food came out quick.

Yelp
Was in town visiting family, exploring the beach, and we decided to hop in for a quick bite of lunch. Nice location, and should you choose to eat outside, shaded in the afternoon. You order at the counter inside, and they bring your food to your table. I decided to go for the 2.5 lb cooked lobster, and I opted for the "lazy" lobster (they crack it open for you, for a small fee). This came with a side of jalapeño Cole slaw. The slaw was good, but not great, although I did enjoy the heat from the jalapeños in it. The lobster was cooked well, and was delicious. Plenty of butter and lemon for dipping. My nephew tried their surf and turf burger, and said it was very good, although he wasn't a fan of the pickle-flavored potato chips they gave him. This is at the beach, so it's a little pricey in my opinion. But the serving sizes were good, and the food was good. I say the splurge was worth it! If I'm back down, will definitely try their lobster roll.

Yelp
This spot was right around the corner from our hotel when we stayed in Miami south beach. We went around 930 PM and sat outside. Service was fast and friendly. The oysters, lobster rolls and strawberry daiquiri were delicious. Reasonably priced as well for what we were expecting to spend in Miami. They did not skimp on the lobster meat. I got a classic lobster roll and my boyfriend got one with bacon and avocado on it. There were so many options! Glad we stopped by this place. Low key, casual vibes, but a really nice and delicious meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the divey vibes here. Perfect spot to grab a lobster roll and some oysters after a toasty couple hours on the beach. I usually get the Naked roll and it's absolutely perfect on the buttery roll. The staff is always super friendly/fast and it's an overall nice experience.

Yelp
Ended up there after walking around in española way exploring after a sun soaked morning at the beach. I wanted a drink while my fiancée was looking inside an art gallery and saw this unassuming place. I asked if they had a bar and they did after inside I looked at the other patrons' food and wow! At $32 for a meal with gumbo on the side and a drink.

Yelp
I'm a lobster roll fanatic & my favorite lobster roll restaurant in Miami closed on me. My boyfriend been holding out on this restaurant, and we finally were driving through South Beach. Going shopping one day and decided to grab some lunch and boy do I wish I grabbed another roll to go for dinner!! Everything tasted so fresh the bread, the lobster and the sauce even was light yet perfect. I'm not exaggerating, out of everything to eat on South Beach this is it! It's at the end of the strip with parking directly in front of it if your lucky. Jussssst take it to go, as it's a little boring inside and the service was dry. Inside isn't bad, the rural look is cool. & I wish they had Fries .
google avatar

Chrissy C.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious here. It's a little pricey, but that's what you expect when you're in South Beach and you want great seafood. I would've given it five stars, but the seating was too low and I felt like I needed a booster chair to reach the table. Overall, it's a cute little place.

Yelp
Lobster shack is situated in a perfect spot next to Miami Beach not too far from South Pointe Pier. After a long walk, bike ride, or beach day this is a perfect little spot to enjoy a lobster roll! Being from Maine originally I can smell, spot, and know the taste of a good lobster roll. The lobster rolls were filled with delicious succulent lobster meat on top of golden rolls. Great service and a wonderful way to fill your belly while washing it down with good drinks.

Yelp
Had a lobster roll delivered to our hotel on Miami Beach. Quick delivery via door dash. Decent roll but a tad pricey for what you get. Tasted great. A little on the small side.

Yelp
This place was cute and just by South Pointe Beach. After our beach wandering, we were hungry so stopped by for a "snack" but it ended up being more like a meal OOPS , HAHA. ‍ Food: Got two raw oysters, and a half dozen Oysters Rockefeller, which I describe as oysters with spinach artichoke dip baked on top! I liked the oysters but only thing is they could have cleaned it a little better, they were a little gritty . Still tasted fresh though, at least. My husband's hot dog was surprisingly good, I liked the bread they used and the sausage was quality. It came w salt and vinegar chips too. My clam chowder was ok, but I've def had better. Overall, it was a decent meal! We left happy. Service: this place was pretty casual and you paid upfront and we brought out food outside as the weather was absolutely beautiful out. We received good service. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. Ambiance: this is not a five star restaurant so it is a very casual spot. This place exudes beach surfer vibes with fishing deco. Step in for a cold beer and a quick bite by the beach!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and this place did not disappoint. Went with the lobster rolls + fish tacos and finished it with a South Beach Mojito. Lobster roll - solid 4 star. Flavorful and light. Fish taco - solid 3 star. Filled taco with yummy toppings. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the corn tortillas, but for those who love a corn tortilla this could easily be a 4 star. South beach mojito - 4 star. Refreshing and delish. If you're in the area - this is worth a stop in. Pricey but as such everything is in SoBe.

Yelp
What a great spot in an amazing location! You can order service on the beach and get a bottle of champagne brought to you! Talk about service! Food was soooo yummy!!! will def be coming back next time I'm in Miami.

Yelp
I came here two days in a row, the food and service were that good! The first night I came on a Friday night around 8:30-9pm with no reservation and was seated immediately at the bar. We ordered white sangria to start. Next we ordered the naked lobster rolls with lobster bisque and the snow crab dinner with clam chowder. Everything was delicious! The lobster roll was served warm and the bun was tasty. The crab legs were meaty and we enjoyed both soups. On the second day we ordered the fish, lobster and shrimp tacos, and the snow crab leg dinner again. :). All of the tacos were good and the shrimp was my favorite. While the food was good, the service was great! Our bartender on the first day was very attentive and her white sangria was delicious. Anthony, our bartender on the second day, was also very attentive and friendly. He really made is feel welcomed. The vibe is sports bar by the sea and only bar stools for seating inside with plenty of outdoor seating available. It was a great experience from beginning to end and I can't wait to return again.

Yelp
Great Stone Crab (March '24)! Sat outside and ate amazing claws with a nice cold beer! Reasonable prices and friendly staff too. We will be back.

Yelp
Was looking for a quick bite for lunch and stumbled upon it! Ordered the blackened shrimp taco (just ok) and the Cajun lobster roll (delicious)! The cashier recommended it and glad i listened.

Yelp
Needed to find a spot to eat late at night and we wanted lobster. This place did not disappoint. I had a giant burger stuffed to the brim with lobster. Best surf n turf I've had in awhile. The grilled oysters were tasty too. Easy to find while walking around the area and great deal too.

Yelp
Amazing seafood, the best place to come from the long walk, did not disappoint I enjoyed the view and the food

Yelp
Was there a bunch of drunk hungry people writing reviews? Pros: easy access from street Easy ordering Friendly staff I guess if you're on the beach they will deliver. Did not try this option but putting it here as that is a pro. Cons: No flavor in the Cajun lobster roll Clam chowder is straight out of the can and served lukewarm Waaaaaay overpriced! They automatically add gratuity (to their disadvantage because I would've left more even though I didn't like the food, I liked the service, but if you force me a gratuity, then that's what you get) Honestly, save your money and go elsewhere, so many other choices in this area.

Linda K.

Yelp
Snow crab was great. Lazy lobster delighted a 7 year old. Service was good and even though a full dining area there wasn't a long wait for 5 of us.

Yelp
Conveniently located right before the beach next to the Nikki Beach parking lot! The food here is really good! I love lobster rolls and I ended up ordering the Naked roll. It was warm and delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted and it had a good amount of lobster meat. We were told it would take about ~10 minutes to make the food. It has a full bar, so we ordered cocktails while we waited. Rum runner and the Pina Colada were both good! The frozen drink machines take a while to get ready so it might not be available if you go early to the beach like we did. I ordered chips, however it seems they just put a random bag of chips, so maybe double check what chips you want, we got salt and vinegar, which thankfully someone in the group liked. They also have a variety of cold beverages available to take away and super convenient beach side delivery! The Lobster Shack is a very cool spot! This was my second time eating here and both times have been 5/5 on the food I highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
I first came here around lunch time and found the place to be pretty empty. My friend and I grabbed a seat at the bar in the front since we were planning on going in and out. He opted for a shrimp taco as well as their tuna taco while I got a shrimp taco to-go. Even though I ended up eating mine days after ordered, the avocado was still green and tasted fantastic! I can only imagine how good it would have been fresh from their kitchen. Second time I came, we arrived on a Sunday night with most tables full. The line to order was out the door so we had to decide quickly. Method is order at the register and take the number to your table, pretty convenient. With the long line, our food came out in about 15 minutes or so, which was not bad at all. I got their Poseidon roll with cole slaw and a bag of chips. The roll was filled with lump pieces of crab, lobster, shrimp and topped with slices of spicy jalapeno. Cole slaw was more plain and not drenched in mayonnaise, which is my preferred style especially paired with this kind of food. Chip options range from original, salt & vinegar, BBQ, and sweet onion. Trying something different, I chose the sweet onion and liked it as it reminded me of onion rolls. Chowder tasted creamy and salty but was slightly runny in my opinion. Overall, I had a good experience both times and would come again. With patrons located all over, the staff were still friendly and quick to address any errors that may have appeared. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
So yum! This place is not fancy- it's a shack! But the staff could not be nicer and the fish could not be fresher. We started with a rare tuna salad, followed by a steamed 2.5 pound lobster that they crack for you. Super fresh, sweet, and steamed to perfection. The spicy guava margaritas had a nice kick and we thought the prices were totally fair. Did not feel touristy and had a local crowd. Will be back!!
google avatar

Yelp
Yoooo, the lobster rolls here are legit fire!! Having had some of the best lobster rolls in LA, I was excited to try one in Miami. Being a Southern girl, I trust that the seafood served in Miami wouldn't miss the mark so when my cousin took me here my eyes and stomach lit up. I ordered the Claw Lobster Roll which is served warm with butter and came with a slice of pickle, and of course I had to try their clam chowder. Oh my, it was divine and I tried the lobster bisque that my cousin ordered with hers and it was sooo creamy and delicious! Compliments to the chef! Highly recommend coming here to eat before you go for a stroll to South Beach.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! Upon waking in, the vibes are great. Indoor and outdoor seating and you order at a counter. Big cute dog walking around, 80's music playing. Lots of options, pretty decently priced in my opinion, away from all the hustle and bustle of Ocean Drive. We had the Cajun roll, king crab, and classic roll, all were great! Clam chowder was a standout among the sides. Service is friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: -location - good outdoor seating (small indoor seating) - fast service - pay upfront; delivered to your table - king claw lobster roll Cons: - the lobster bisque v clam chowder was nearly identical - perhaps a tourist trap but it was good - the spinach and cheese oyster This spot is right off the beach so whether you are looking for a nice little meal off the surf or off the street this is the place for you. We went in for lunch and there was plenty of seating at the time. Each item on the menu was about $20 so expect to be dropping a few coins in this establishment. Food: Lobster Bisque: 2/5 - Tasted like clam chowder but without the clams and it was yellow. Clam Chowder: 2/5 - Tasted like lobster bisque but with little clam meat. Oysters: 3/5 - It was to my understanding that we got the raw oysters but we were all surprised when we saw the spinach and cheese on top of ours. As a person who can eat raw fish without hesitation, raw oysters would not be a problem for me. If you are someone who is on the conservative side when consuming raw shellfish then this is a good starter pack for you. You really can't taste the shellfish because of the contents on top. It tasted like spinach and artichoke dip on top of a shell so if you like those flavors get it. Lobster Roll: 5/5 - Good, fresh, a decent amount of crab. The total bill for 3 (including drinks) was around $130 Note: They do have hot and cold rolls so make sure you look carefully at which has which.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and delicious food that can be enjoyed individually or with a group of friends.

Yelp
We had tartare tuna tacos and snow crab clusters. Tacos came covered with great salad on top, very tasty. Eat snow crab first, it comes hot. They have king crab and lobster rolls. Nice crowd, young and cheerful. No waiters, pay at the counter
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food and the best service I have had in a long time! Great for a quick lunch spot with food that will not disappoint. I got a fish taco and a blackened shrimp taco and my fiancé got the Cajun lobster roll and clam chowder
google avatar

Randle W.

Yelp
The absolute best Lobster Rolls in all of Florida. This place is very quaint and laid back but the best food ever!
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
This place is a little hard to find as the google directions had us all over the place. Street parking was tough but there was a lot across the street with parking. There wasn't any indoor seating which was fine although if I had known that, I probably would have picked somewhere else. Luckily it was shaded and breezy. I had clam chowder and a snow crab cluster. Now, I eat snow crab frequently and I have to say that this was the smallest crab cluster I have ever seen. The crab claw was so teeny, smaller than my pinky. Value-wise, absolutely terrible. Quality-wise, it was fine but not impressive. The chowder was good, no complaints there. My friend said her shrimp tacos were good so I'd provably go that route next time. Just fine but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Spicy Lobster roll was a little small but was delicious Drinks were good Service is good

Yelp

Yelp
So good and so fun. People were amazing and the food amazing. I got the traditional lobster roll and oysters. My gf got the warm claw roll. Both amazing. And perfectly seasoned with a great amount of lobster.

Yelp
Best lobster rolls I've had from anywhere ever. very fresh. More of a local eatery. great customer service. Food consistent. Prices average. Highly recommend.

Yelp
From what we sampled I will definitely give this place a thumbs up, let me break down everything we sampled and how all of it faired Came here with 2 friends from work and we literally sampled close to everything, and I would be happy to do it again, that is order same stuff and then more, here is an idea of what we sampled Lobster rolls - Classic - buttery, fresh not rubbery, delicious Cajun Lobster roll - slight kick needs more of that cajun seasoning to give it that extra kick, but the roll again was buttery and it was delicious Tacos Fish tacos - deep fried happiness Blackend Shrimp taco seasoned well, may have to come back and sample 4 more of these just for myself Lobster taco - like all the other items that have lobster in them, this was delicious Entrees Live Maine lobster - If I recall we ordered 2 of these to share between the 3 of us, you may need to order 4 total to keep everyone happy lol Again everything we sampled was good, next time I am in Miami I will need to bring the kids and wife food **** price $$ service ***** ambiance *****
google avatar

Lesley K.

Yelp
Location is right by the Beach. We ordered a spicy lobster roll and the naked lobster roll. Lobster was cooked perfectly for both but not well seasoned. ( Spicy lobster roll is literally a regular roll with sliced jalapeños) For $25 a piece the portion was pretty small. With a water and a modelo the bill was about $75 ( with added gratitudity- didn't understand that when it was self service) maybe a tourist trap but if you're looking for a good lobster roll and don't mind spending the cash try it out.
google avatar

Faryn E.

Yelp
RUN HERE NOW!!! I'm a New England girlie so take my word for it This lobster roll was out of this WORLD! The staff was super accommodating and friendly as well. If you get a side salad try the balsamic vinegarette as it is home made! It tasted buttery which was different but so gooooooddd but one of the staff told me there was no butter in the dressing just oil I got the cajun lobster roll and you should too! It wasn't spicy at all. The ambiance was cool they have a lobster tank and tons of dollar hills hanging on the wall. Really cool atmosphere especially if you want to watch a game
google avatar

Nadeira P.

Yelp
I love this place!!!! They actually deliver your food while you're on the beach which is amazing. The Cajun shrimp roll is probably the best thing on the menu along with the clam chowder.
google avatar

Jose Frank A.

Yelp
I really don't know how I did not find this place before. It is very casual, close to the beach (Niki Beach and South Pointe). We ordered fish tacos, the naked lobster roll the classic lobster roll and the lobster bisque. Everything was great! Fresh, flavorful and well presented. Service is very fast. You order first and they bring the food to the table. Prices are ok. I think it worth it. It is the real lobster from Maine. They also have, surf and turf burger, hamburgers, lobster tacos and steamed lobster. We didn't try those but for sure we will come back.

Chris W.

Yelp
Great taste- about double the price for the portions on the "rolls". Best was lobster bisque. tacos = better bang for the $. Small soup pretty much the same size as small. Coleslaw disappointing Guava jalepeno marg. Voted 1.5* ehh.
google avatar

Nasha P.

Yelp
Yeah this place is pretty good. They have a large selection of items and so far everything has tastes fresh. I got a warm lobster roll with a small clam chowder soup and a margarita and it came out to $48 with automatic gratuity, and I added $2 and rounded it to $50. I would say it's pretty pricey but delicious non the less.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
CAJUN LOBSTER ROLL - The quality of the lobster here is great and I loved the seasonings! My main gripe is the price-to-portion ratio. The roll is quite small and on its own is arguably more a snack than a meal. Doesn't feel great when you're paying $25 for one of these things. Come here for quality, but I'd go somewhere else if you're feeling pretty hungry.
google avatar

Jc G.

Yelp
Later back spot with great lobster rolls. You order at the bar and take a seat while they oro epate the tolls. Always served fresh, and with a smile. It's pricey for the ambiance and I think that the tables could be better, but the rolls are so good, you will enjoy it anyways.
google avatar

Yelp
Was such a good foodie spot. King Crab Roll was so yummy and was full of flavor. South Beach Lobster Roll was my gf's order and she loved it. Fast service and helpful recommendations helped to make this a place we would come back to.

Eric K.

Yelp
They've got an awesome beach dining operation going on here - but I'm compelled to give 5 stars because their food is also delicious & fairly priced in my opinion. There were young men combing the beach goers to hand out their simple & effective menu with just the right amount of lobster roll, taco, cocktail & beer selections just in case the beach chair rental kiosk guys didn't already hand the menu to the beach goers. I would normally think everything would be grossly overpriced for such convenience of ordering in your beach chair, but $5.50 for a generously sized taco? Count me in please! We ordered a South beach lobster roll, 1 each of fish taco and blackened shrimp taco, a virgin piña colada, a bottle of corona, and a jalapeño coleslaw, and everything was done over text which the restaurant responded promptly. The slaw was added 3 min after initial confirmation via text and they modified and gave new total quickly. What surprised me more was how quickly a gentleman came with an ice bucket of our drinks, saying he'll be back with our food in short order- a great service since beach goers would love to drink something first under the hot sun. Food arrived within 10 minutes of the drinks and they were well packaged in individual paper boxes, napkins, fork, inside a large brown bag. Now onto the food - lobster roll was perfect- that lightness of subtly dressed chunks of lobster with bacon strips and avocados (that's the only difference from classic) on flaky bread was just joyful. My flaky fish tacos and chewy shrimp tacos were nicely paired by surprisingly delicious jalapeño slaw which, contrary to wife's fear of being too spicy, it was neither spicy nor heavy- so much so that she commented that she could just eat the slaw by itself! Her piña colada was not overly sweet but tasty and we enjoyed the ice bucket long after our drinks were gone. We were well satisfied with the delicious lunch eaten at the comfort of our beach lounger under the umbrella, and highly recommend lobster shack to everyone! A++!

Yelp
Came here with my sister for some late lunch after reading the reviews and while craving some seafood and it did not disappoint!!! Ordered a pitcher of margarita (ofc lol) some oysters , lobster roll and some shrimp tacos and omg !!! Would definitely recommend and we can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Fresh, perfectly steamed and overall delicious. We are outside with the fan and enjoyed the rum punch which was delicious! Service was kind and friendly, we enjoyed the immediate service and attention.
