Visiting South Beach for a few days. Our first morning searching for a breakfast spot and we tried this spot. The food is delicious and the service is superb. The waitstaff is so friendly and sweet. Putting this spot on my favorite’s list.

Google
The Local House is a charming boutique hotel, and our stay was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location is ideal—peaceful yet just steps from the beach. The hotel provides convenient beach amenities, including towels, two chairs, and an umbrella. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor and a rooftop lounge where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings with a pleasant breeze. The surrounding area is very convenient, with numerous restaurants, a Starbucks, a small market, and a Walgreens just next door. Overall, The Local House offers both comfort and convenience in a beautiful setting.

We LOVED this spot. Got to sit outside in comfy chairs with the ocean breeze and enjoy some really fanatic crab brunch options. The lobster eggs benefit and lobster roll were both fantastic. We really enjoyed the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere was probably our favorite part — the outdoor seating makes for the perfect Miami Beach brunch.

My Husband and I visited the Local House on our recent trip to South Beach, Miami. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The Lobster roll was mouth watering, I highly reccomend the Local House restaurant for some high end light bites.

Brunch at The Local House – South Beach, Ocean Drive We had a wonderful brunch at The Local House in South Beach, located on Ocean Drive near Fourth Street. This charming café, nestled below a boutique hotel, offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. Our server, Ama, was an absolute delight! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and provided great recommendations for our meal. Her friendly service truly enhanced our visit. For brunch, we enjoyed the Ocean Benedict, a single blueberry pancake à la carte (just to try it), and the tuna tartare, which we shared. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying—a perfect balance of savory and sweet. The setting of The Local House is simply adorable, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal by the beach. If you’re in South Beach and looking for a delicious brunch with excellent service, this is definitely a place worth visiting! We’ll be back for sure.

We enjoyed our breakfast..basic eggs over easy, toast, bacon..they make a very good smoothie...every restaurant in the area charges beach prices. Our server was very nice as we sat outside.

Yelp
This place was located just down from our hotel. It's a quaint little place with amazing food! I went with the seabass while my travel partner opted for the salmon (and doesn't usually eat seafood). Service was great. Since gratuity is automatically added to your bill, it's nice to see people still provide good service. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Yelp
This place is so cute! Intimate and small, seating is limited, but there's outdoor seating as well. Beautiful decor, so summery and welcoming. We came around 4pm and they were nice enough to let us order a few bites as the kitchen transitions to the dinner menu and they don't serve food normally after 4. There's a happy hour cocktail menu Tues-Sun between 4 and 6. I ordered an aperol spritz, my hubby ordered a Summer Air (Prosecco, elderflower, peach and lavender bitters). Mom ordered a passionfruit margarita from the happy hour menu (margaritas flavors rotate). My daughter ordered a Brez Flow, which is a non alcoholic drink and she loved it! For food, we got a kids menu pasta w marinara, chicken fingers. Also an order of calamari, and my hubs and Mom split a smash burger which they were kind enough to cut in half. Delicious and friendly service!

Yelp
We happened to stop by the Local house after a beautiful morning at the beach for brunch and I'm so happy we did! Our server Ama was wonderful and provided great suggestions we will have to come back to try other menu items! On this visit we went with breakfast items and they did not disappoint and my Bloody Mary was delish as was the espresso. If you are in South Beach do not leave without trying this lil gem!

Yelp
Read rave reviews about the key lime french toast and as a french toast lover, I made it my business to try it before I left this weekend. It was honestly just okay. Nothing I'd crave or have to come back for. The presentation was beautiful. Tons and tons of whipped cream. It's definitely not worth the price of almost $20 for 3 slices (1.5 pieces of bread). It doesn't come with sides either, so you hav ego add your proteins individually. I also tried the watermelon juice. It was really crisp and refreshing, but the melon it was made from wasn't very sweet. My partner got the pancakes and said they were the worst she'd ever had and described them as tasting like "cardboard". She ended up sending it back and swapping for avocado toast, which she enjoyed. The service was not good. Polite, when you could catch someone - yes, but severely lacking in attentiveness. We literally did not see our server at all for about 25 minutes. We sat there waiting with empty plates and the hostess who was going back and forth to the podium whisked past us tons of times without a care. Eventually I asked her to please send our server so that we could have the check. She said she would. More time passed. Eventually a busser came by to gather the dishes and I also asked them to send the server. More time passes. We spent more time trying to get the check than we did ordering and eating, which was frustrating. Also, I do not mind dog friendly restaurants, and enjoying bringing my own pup along sometimes. But this place was different. They literally allowed people to have their dogs sitting up in chairs at the tables like humans! Another guest's dog quite literally had his FEET on the table. And I spent most of my meal being violated by a dog's very poopy butt. Yuck.

Yelp
Great little local place with outside seating and nice cool inside seating. Good food, great atmosphere and good customer service. If you're in South Beach, you must give it a try.

Yelp
Love coming to local house when going to the beach. Service is great. The food is very yummy. The cocktails are amazing. Get the margarita

Yelp
I can't say enough about The Local House restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The service was exceptional, Mila and Zac were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. The food was absolutely outstanding! The ambiance was so great we went three different times. Our first time was for dinner, then we went back for breakfast and that night we finished our vacation back here for drinks! It's two blocks away from the Ocean Drive hub on Ocean Drive. You can't go wrong by dinning here!

Yelp
This spot is really yummy! Great location 2 blocks from the beach. We stopped in around 2:30pm on a Monday. There were a few people eating outside, but we opted to eat inside and there was no one inside. My husband ordered the mahi sandwich, I got the tuna tartare tostones and a lemonade. We both loved our meals. The lemonade was tart and refreshing. I had never had tostones before and it was really good with the tuna tartare. The service was good and quick. The bill included the 18% taxes and service fee, so it was a bit pricey, but it's Miami Beach, so to be expected.

Yelp
Staying at the hotel and checked out the hotel restaraunt for breakfast out of convenience, and was pleasantly surprised to discover the restaraunt itself was quite excellent. We had the smoked salmon avocado toast and the yogurt fruit bowl, both were really good. Also enjoyed the cocktails and juices. This is not your typical hotel restaraunt - it's legitimately a place we'd come for breakfast on our own.

Yelp
We happened across this place on our last day in Miami. Located in a quieter part of Miami Beach with a comfortable outdoor area to sit and enjoy the weather. Our server was friendly and service was quick. I ordered the chicken paillard and it was actually pretty tasty. The salad was fresh with a good dressing. Great little option for a quick bite in a friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot in south beach! Food and service was great I really enjoyed the Benedict and the seafood scramble was also really good.
google avatar

Reena D.

Yelp
Cute spot, loved the decor. The lobster Benedict I had was delicious, eggs done perfectly. The vegan option my SIL had looked so fresh and would have been great as a vegetarian option also. The sausage, maybe chorizo, dish didn't mention potatoes, which wasn't bad but it was meant to be a keto option. It was also a smaller serving. Overall, it was a great meal and I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Visiting Miami and came here for lunch/brunch situation. Such a cute restaurant which is perfect for people watchers. We were a group of 10 and were seated comfortably indoors. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that made ordering so much more easier with their recommendations. It's located inside the hotel but you'd see the restaurant before the hotel in my opinion. There's a paid parking lot nearby with prices that vary from $30-$40. However, if you get lucky and find street parking do that! For drinks, 6 of us decided to split a bottle for the mimosas. I'd recommend lessening the amount of people who split it. 6 people gave us each one glass, and two people got like half a drink extra. I'd say maybe 2-3 would be a good number to split. So, I opted the order the Feeling Pine Today which was a nice refreshing drink. It had a little kick to it with the tajin on the rim but it was good nonetheless. Came in the cutest cup! Was stuck between ordering the lobster Benedict vs the lobster roll and ended up with the Benedict. It was your typical Benedict, nothing too crazy. Added hollandaise on top as well. If you like eggs Benedict's you'd like this. There was a nice amount of lobster too which I appreciated. I opted to get crispy fries instead of house potatoes and I'm glad I did! The fries were truly crispy and I found myself wishing there was more Overall, the ambiance and friendly atmosphere was perfect for a casual girls brunch or even a casual date! Next time I'm in Miami I want to try their dinner :)

Yelp
Alice and I got to Miami a couple of days early for our cruise and this is where we ate as soon as we got over to South Beach. All-in-all, this is a very cute place. I would recommend you call for a reservation as there would have been a 20-30-minute wait on a Friday late morning, but they seated us right away at the bar, which was very comfortable and kind of fun, actually. The bartender was super friendly and very helpful. My wife ordered a drink and really wanted the "Wake me up", but they didn't have any Bailey's (how does that happen???), so she settled for the "I'm feeling pine today" based on the bartender's suggestion and she enjoyed it very much! ;-) Food-wise, I was waffling (no pun intended) between the huevos rancheros and the power bowl, and again, based on the bartender's suggestion I landed on the huevos rancheros. It was very good, but truthfully, I probably would have enjoyed the power bowl more (he didn't like quinoa and I really do). Alice ordered her usual Egg Whites & Veggies type dish and said she liked it just fine. I don't know if it was worth $19 but it is Miami Beach! The service here was outstanding from the greeting from our hostess, through our entire bar experience. It is on the pricey side, but if you are worried about vacation cost you might want to consider somewhere other than Miami Beach! ;-p

Yelp
The ambience was great, the service was good, and the food was delicious. Definitely a must, away from all the hustle and bustle of south beach.

Yelp
This place was right across the street from where I was staying so I decided to give it a try. The food was very good. I had the eggs Benedict with a side salad, fresh, watermelon juice, and an earl Grey tea. Everything came out fast and I truly had no complaints about the food. The service, however was not great. Only seen my waitress twice. The rest of the waitress stood behind the bar on their phones. The restaurant was not busy while I was there and you could tell the staff had a lot of downtime but also weren't very attentive. I didn't order all my food at once, I started with eggs, Benedict, and juice first. Once I realized, I wanted other items it took a long time for someone to come back and check on me, which means my other food and drink took a long time in between. I even had to go up to the waitress and ask for the check. The total came out to $60 for four items but it was definitely worth it and well with the normal price range for South Beach. This is a beautifully decorated restaurant inside and out! They have lots of good items to try, and I likely would return, but know what to expect from the service now.

Yelp
The local House brunch was a great start to our day! The homestyle pancakes were delicious! The bagel had different flavors but they all tied in to the entree. The watermelon juice was refreshing as well. The restaurant has great decor and the service was very quick and very attentive to any dietary restrictions.

Yelp
Went twice for breakfast when in Miami for long weekend. Service great, small menu but all meals excellent.
google avatar

Tammie K.

Yelp
Food was great! The lobster Benedict came packed with meat and the house potatoes were very flavorful. The portions were surprisingly big and definitely filled me up. We also got the kiwi alcoholic drink which was soooo good-- highly recommend. Service was amazing! Our server was so nice and accommodating. The ambiance felt like a beachside restaurant-- lighting was interesting but nothing I'm complaining about.

Yelp
Good: great Ambiance: great Service: great The Local House is a hidden gem of South Beach. Warning: it will be challenging to find parking around the area and you WILL have to pay for it. Overall, this place is perfect for a low key Sunday brunch. The patio is cozy with relaxing seating for dining. You can also dine in their well-lit inside dining area. This place is a bit small but has friendly and attentive service with very delicious food. Their menu also appeals to a mix of diets with a quinoa breakfast bowl, seafood omelette and other yummy options depending on your preference. This is definitely a vegetarian friendly location. You can enjoy a very appetizing meal here without the usual hustle and bustle of South Beach. I had the quinoa bowl, goat cheese croquettes and truffle fries! It was ALL lovely to eat with pleasing scenery.

Yelp
I really like the crab cake Benedict. It was cooked to perfection! The crab cake was very fresh tasting, seemed homemade. He hollandaise sauce was creamy, not too heavy and very tasty. I don't have any complaints about it at all. My favorite, shamefully, was the drink that Kiwi Crush, with Elderberry Flowers! The waitstaff....they were very nice and lovely ladies. Thanks!

Yelp
Booked my stay at the Local House based on the reviews and it's convenient location "south of fifth", and I'm so happy that I did! This little boutique hotel is fantastic! My room is spacious and very clean! The restaurant is so delicious! I've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here! The roof top pool is quaint with plenty of lounge space! The service has been impeccable! Housekeeping, concierge, wait staff, bartender, management they go above and beyond! Beach towels, Beach chairs and umbrellas are included with service fee. The beach is one block away. The bar has a happy hour. My king size bed is very comfortable and nice fluffy pillows. Plenty of security cameras for your safety. All the food I enjoyed was served fresh, and quickly with cold food cold and hot food hot! The lobster roll.... Yes please!!! I really don't have anything grossly negative to say about the Local House but do suggest when turning on the shower, get inside and close the door and make sure the hand held shower head is facing away from the door, otherwise the bathroom floor will get wet. There is a mini fridge but no microwave in the room....Restaurant and bar closes at 11 on weekends, and if you're arriving after 10pm make sure you make arrangements with management for their self check in. South Beach has numerous accommodation options but you can't go wrong in choosing the Local House!

Yelp
We can't believe this place exists in Miami. The food and service is above and beyond. Everyone should come here. Don't doubt it. Ljubisa is the best and made us feel so welcome. Don't question it.

Yelp
Beautiful space. Great service. Bruno is a great server! Perfect location as well. I had the lobster Benedict. It was perfect!

Yelp
This cappuccino was one of the best I have had in a long time. The waiter made the foam perfect! I had to order two. I love the vibe of this place. From the look to the enticing aroma, the atmosphere is a perfect vibe. The staff was working great and very friendly.

Yelp
This place is delicious we both loved it!! Great brunch spot and nice set up that feels homie and beachy with the couch seating. The food was amazing. They accommodated to me not liking poached eggs. I was still able to get the crab egg Benedict, but with over medium eggs. I LOVED my food, it was seasoned to perfection, I was able to add a side of a single pancake for $6, and the breakfast potatoes hit the spot. My only complaint, a little too many egg shells, but at least it was fresh! Huevos Rancheros was also ordered and my bf liked it a lot. I ordered the Youth Drink which is a must try! They have tons of healthy options. Location is great a few minutes from the beach and close to Nikki Beach. Service felt a little rushed, but she was nice and informative. Price was moderate it was $80 for two people. 20% service charge included but that's pretty much all over Miami Beach. I didn't make a reservation, I did a walk-in at 9:30 ish and got seated immediately. Some parking nearby that you have to pay for. They don't validate your parking.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The eggs Benny was alright but a little light on the sauce, which was sad. We were buy a door that hit one of our party as well.

Veronica G.

Yelp
Ordered a croissant , 10 mins later I'm still waiting for it , I also paid in cash , $10.00 waitress didn't know what to do and didn't have change and then short change me ....
google avatar

Hanna S.

Yelp
This is the best value for your dollar in Miami. Do not let massive menu fool you into believing the food is anything less than stunning. I went here twice for dinner and once for breakfast. The staff were helping each other with plates, serving dishes, running, and cleaning. I'm impressed and if I ever find myself in the area again I'd love to make it a point to return!
google avatar

Leidy Carolina L.

Yelp
I loved this place. I ordered the buttery lobster egg Benedict's and they did not disappoint me . My husband had the lobster roll and it came with fries. He definitely loved it. Our waiter was very welcoming and kind . We also had the sister margaritas and they were very tropical just great for a beach day.
google avatar

Cortney W.

Yelp
I've eaten here three times and it's always wonderful. The service is excellent and I love the tucked in neighborhood spot. The food is excellent, especially the appetizers.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
Wonderful location right off the beach & the outdoor seating area is welcoming. Decor is clean and tropical - rattan furniture, and fun colors. 10/10 decor! Food was fine - nothing extraordinary but nothing bad. The banana pancakes were on the blander side - but I'd rather have that than overly sweet. The bagel was tasty! Service was great - bit slower (when on vacation right?), but not an issue. Come here earlier in the day, it gets busier after 9:30.
google avatar

Jasmine G.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast place to end a trip to Miami. Sat outside on the front patio at one of the sofas. Chill vibes and amazing service! Had the cappuccino and Huevos Rancheros. Cappuccino was perfectly made and the Huevos Rancheros was some of the best I've had in a while! A must go to place when in Miami Beach!
google avatar

Kay K.

Yelp
One star off because customer service from the hostess was poor. While our party of two was seated at a four person wheelchair accessible table outside, an older couple, one of whom was in a wheelchair, politely asked how much longer we would be. I offered for them to sit across from us if they didn't mind as we certainly did not. It was hot and many of the tables didn't look like a great height for a wheelchair user to be included at the table. I moved a chair and the hostess came over to advise me that they could not allow us to share the (ample sized) table. This was off putting because no effort was seemingly made to accommodate the couple especially with the heat. The food was delicious - I had the key lime French toast with a side of Turkey bacon. I was concerned about the toast being too heavy but it was well balanced and I didn't feel overly full. I also noticed this sign in the women's toilets providing options promoting safety which I commend.
google avatar

Qiu L.

Yelp
We made a reservation on a Wednesday noon to try out this place. Staff is friendly. Ambience is nice inside. However, the service was very slow. It took at least 30min before our food were served. We both wanted to order some fresh juice. The two we wanted to try were out and it was only noon at the time! ‍ I ordered the huevos rancheros-5/10. Nothing really special to me. My friend ordered the strawberry French toast-3/10. We were both very disappointed. The French toast didn't taste like a French toast, and it was too dry. It's supposed to be caramelized and we didn't taste any of that.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Atmosphere was lovely, service was great and the food was delicious. Visited here on a Thursday afternoon for brunch. We made reservations so, I can't comment on the wait except that when we arrived, our table was ready for us. We sat outside on some comfy patio like seating under umbrellas. We were able to enjoy observing passersby while eating. I would definitely visit again!
google avatar

Lyna M.

Yelp
Cute little corner restaurant in a hotel near the beach. The food and service was good. I ordered the seafood scramble which had a good amount of lobster meat and shrimp in there and a cocktail called I'm feeling pine today. Anything with coconut I'm all for it. It was refreshing. I enjoyed my meal and my server was very attentive.
google avatar

Aya E.

Yelp
Ordered: Buttery Lobster Benedict (~$25): butter poached lobster, old bay, lemon zest, and home fries with poached eggs. Banana Pancakes (~$14): pancakes with caramelized bananas, banana syrup, and maple syrup. Iced Americano (~$4.50) Iced Cappuccino (~$5.50) Aya's take: super cute brunch spot! Lobster Benedict is a MUST. You will thank me later. 18% service charge already included in total.
google avatar

Natalya M.

Yelp
My my my this place. First off it's super close to the beach. The ambiance is so South Beach. My husband and I sat outdoor and the weather was perfect. I ordered the lobster Benedict and all I can say is WOW! It's a must try! My husband ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was so tender again! Good think we don't live in Miami otherwise we will get so fat eating all these good food!
google avatar

Brice C.

Yelp
Food was fine but not worth the price. Service was ok, but the kitchen was out of two different items I attempted to order.
google avatar

Kaushik N.

Yelp
Doesnt look like much from outside but when you walk into the place, its a true hidden gem! We made reservations on a Saturday morning and got seated earlier than our expected reservation time. Came here from the reviews. We all ordered the same thing. One thing I did notice was the portion size was limited. We were still hungry and decided to order additional sides. The food was definitely on hit! Server was fantastic and checked up on us to make sure we were okay. Love how they have plenty of options for those who are vegan or dont eat pork. Would definitely come back here again!
google avatar

Rianna M.

Yelp
Food was delish. Service was good. The restaurant was pretty quiet / empty for a Saturday. Our visit was in January.

Yelp
A contender for my fav restaurant! Service exceptional. Food incredible. Ambiance delightful (there was live music -- she was the cherry on top ) THE GOAT CHEESE CROQUETTES ARE A MUST!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place ever since I heard about it! The Local House is a cute, small restaurant located on 4th and Ocean Dr and most well known for their brunch! Brunch is a la carte with a lot of seafood choices! They also offer bottomless mimosas! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and beautiful decor that makes you feel like you are in a tropical setting! Parking can be a little tricky here on the weekends so Uber would be ideal! The Local House offers all meals, brunch, lunch and dinner along with tasty cocktails! I got a Bloody Mary and the Seafood Scramble, my husband got the fresh orange juice and the French toast with a side of bacon. The good: the seafood scramble and the bacon! The seafood scramble was a large plate and didn't go light on the seafood! There was crab, shrimp and lobster! The bacon was salty and crispy just the was we like it. The French toast was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, but I would try something else next time. The Bloody Mary was also just okay, I think it needed a little more hot sauce for my taste. The Local House is a great place to stop for a meal, people watch, then take advantage of the location by heading to the beach afterwards!

Yelp
What a great spot! We stumbled onto this place just because it was fairly close and walkable from our hotel in South Beach but wow! It's worth any effort to get to!! It was a beautiful day in Miami to sit outside so we loved the outdoor couch seating right on the sidewalk. Great people and view watching! Servers were friendly and quick. We ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and the Buttery Lobster Benedict. Incredible!! My husband may never enjoy regular eggs Benedict ever again after his lobster experience. He said it was delicious. Large chunks of lobster and totally worth the cost. I had the crab cake Benedict which I thought was also excellent. I enjoyed it very much. Definitely a cute spot with fantastic food. Hopefully we can get back there someday!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! Everything was incredible. I couldn't choose between steak and eggs and the Huevos Ranchero so the waitress suggested having the eggs scrambled with chorizo to get the best of both! Highly recommend. Service was great. Short walk to the beach and very aesthetic ambiance. Will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Amazing service. Beautiful ambiance. I highly recommend The Local House.

Yelp
Short Wait Time 5/5 Food 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Ambience 5/5 Service 5/5 Loge this spot, totally worth the price! Came here back in Sept, the food was amazing as usual & the service was also great. The prices are higher than I would Like but I don't mind paying because the service was elevated! I'll be back!
