11 Great Nashville Bars To See Live Music 2024

"Located alongside Centennial Park (you know, where the fake Parthenon is), The Local feels like a honky-tonk for those in the know. Small inside but with a decent outdoor patio, the bar has a listening room feel with all the trappings of a good dive—including a stuffed beaver wearing sunglasses and a statue in a hotdog suit (we don’t know, either). As unserious as its decor is, the music coming from its corner stage is top-tier. Depending on the night of the week, you can catch everything from songwriter rounds to full bands. And in a time where it’s common to pay an arm and a leg for a tiny “artisanal” burger without any sides, the Local rejects that concept wholeheartedly. Just order a G-OFF: you’ll get a big patty served on soft buns with candied bacon and jalapeños, plus a healthy helping of fries. " - bailey freeman, jackie gutierrez jones 2

What a great place to hang out! Music was amazing! Bartenders were fun and got to us as quickly as they could even when it was busy. @ Chris made sure the heaters were turned on to keep our merry group warm as we chatted outside in the screened in porch. It was a great night!! Will definitely come back!!

Great server and helpful assistance from the Bouncer (inside joke), Robert. The Alto Tequila was decent suggestion. The chicken tenders and the fried chicken for the Cobb salad were cooked to perfection, not dry at all. The wings could have been slightly crispier. We will definitely revisit if given the chance while in town. Both bands were fabulous, IG WillJonesOfficial, he made guitar playing and singing look effortless, it’s not. Look him up❣️🎸

What a fun place and felt very comfortable. We went just for drinks. The signer-song writers were awesome. They will play 3 songs each and then another set of songwriters will come on stage. We were there for two hours and definitely will be coming back. It's nice to find a great place off of Broad Street.

Super chill. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's a great mix of ages and music. Staff is incredible. Parking can be a challenge sometimes, but it's a short walk from the hotels on West End. I love how it's almost hidden from the busy main drag. I've never been disappointed here!! Definitely loved by this local!!

The vibe of the place was great. My husband and I were in town visiting our son. The Local is one of his favorite places so I was excited to check it out. The live entertainment was incredible, the avocado Swiss burger was delicious but the fries were the star of the show. Total chefs kiss. The star deduction is due to that our server was less focused on customer service and noticeably preferred socializing. She didn’t make recommendations. Gave us one menu to share amongst our party of 3. Didn’t immediately wipe the table down. I asked for napkins 2x. She left her handheld POS on our table. I walked to her to hand it to her myself prior to us leaving after waiting for a prolonged amount of time for her to return to get it and thank us for our business.

Came to watch the local talent play some original music. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were CLEAN. I didnt eat anything, but I did see someone with some amazing looking loafed nachos that filled a plate, so I bet they were good. I watched three rounds. Very talented musicians. The last round had a stand out power house singer that blew me away named Nick Conners. OMG.

What a gem! My 13 year old daughter and I were staying nearby and I wanted her to get to hear some live music without the rowdiness and debauchery of Broadcast so we checked this out on a Saturday night. The food was great (get the fried pickles) and service super friendly. Organic Country played and they were fantastic. The music wasn't ridiculously loud, it was perfect to be able to actually hear the music, both the muzak before that show started and once the band started playing. Lots of folks, young and old were dancing country swing to the band.

If you want to get away from all the flashing lights downtown, this is one of the BEST places to go for raw talent in Nashville. Excellent atmosphere . Staff great. Highly recommend .
