Awesome food. We went after reading Google reviews & ratings were correct 100%. Prawns thali, king fish fry & a phenomenal prawns biryani were perfect for Lunch. Very homely tasty food & the host couple were welcoming. Good luck!

I had a truly exceptional dining experience at The Local Table in Candolim. The cuisine was outstanding, each dish exhibiting vibrant and authentic flavors. The Prawn Curry was particularly noteworthy, showcasing a perfect, traditional Goan taste reminiscent of a home-cooked meal. The restaurant's commitment to fresh ingredients and traditional recipes is evident. It's uncommon to find such a genuine representation of local Goan culinary heritage. I highly recommend a visit for anyone in Candolim.

Run by a husband-wife duo and their little daughter, this gem of a restaurant in Orda is easy to drive by without noticing. The Local Table serves among the best prawn thalis I’ve ever had, and a very memorable Recheado bangdo! Their fried Chonak was super fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. I also tried the Chicken Chilly Fry which was homely and nice to enjoy with drinks, but the desserts were a slight disappointment. When Goan restaurants have Continental fare on their menu, I can’t help but get suspicious, for the two cuisines are poles apart. However Gourish, one of the owners specialises in the Continental fare too, thanks to his background working for high end hotels. I promised myself to go back and try some of those items soon. The couple believes in serving authentic flavours of Goa, unadulterated by the demands of the tourist belt. And they indeed manage to do so. A mere glimpse at their Google reviews is proof enough.

A Hidden Gem in Candolim, Goa – The Local Table If you're in Goa and looking for a truly authentic and heartwarming dining experience, The Local Table is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away in a small, cozy space, this restaurant might not boast grand interiors, but what it offers in return is far more valuable—genuine hospitality and unforgettable food. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth by the lovely owners. Their friendly nature and eagerness to engage made us feel right at home. It's rare these days to find a place where you're not just another customer, but a welcomed guest. We tried the Chonak fish (rava fry), Mackerel fish, and Chicken Biryani—all of which were nothing short of exceptional. The seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The biryani deserves a special mention for its rich aroma and unique masala, subtly infused with a coconutty flavor I’ve never encountered before. It was not only delicious but also deeply satisfying. This little gem proves that size doesn’t matter when it comes to delivering a memorable culinary experience. Don’t judge it by its modest appearance—The Local Table is big on taste, warmth, and soul. Highly recommended, and I genuinely hope more people discover and support this wonderful place!

This place is a hidden gem. Modest looking place run by a couple, Gourish and his wife, who believe in serving authentic goan flavours. We loved this so much that we went there again with friends who wanted to have Goan cuisine picking it over so many other famous places. We had fish thali with fried fish and veg thali that had rava fried potatoes. Both thalis had different dishes and the best thing about he thali was that each dish had a distinct taste. Thalis are available during the day only. Their Masala fish was to die for, we had Chonak and Pomfret and they were both finger licking good. Kokum soda was yummy and refreshing with loads of fresh mint leaves.Chicken Xacuti and Chicken rava fry were good and flavourful. It's a little away from the crowded places, so you can easily get a seat and parking. Also, it's pocket friendly too. All in all, all of us were super impressed with the food and will surely visit this place again and again.
