I visited as part of a party at 6 at lunchtime on a Saturday. It was only moderately busy, which made for a quiet, enjoyable environment. The brunch menu was in effect, which had a mix of breakfast and later-day items. While most of my party ordered breakfast, I had a salad with added chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful, and the whole salad was wonderful. I really loved the candied walnuts and wish I knew where they got them! Service was great the whole time, too, with the separate checks handled in good time.

We went on a Wednesday around 5pm and it wasn’t too busy. Service was pretty fast and server was helpful and kind. The happy hour items aren’t listed on the menu so you have to ask but I believe it was $2 off tap beers and half off appetizers - GREAT DEALS! If you sign up for their rewards system, you get $10 off your first bill and then begin to rack up savings for future visits. Enjoyed our visit and would go again!

Excellent food. Had a pretzel, corned beef cabbage, and desert.

We came here for a celebration brunch and they were totally accommodating for five of us. Our server was helpful but not the most attentive (you never know what's going on in their day though). Thankfully the manager and bartender kept an eye on us and made up for our server. The menu consisted of breakfast and lunch/dinner choices. Three of us ordered breakfast and two lunch. All entrees were brought hot and were very good. Several of us had mimosas to start with and they were more orange juice than anything else. We then switched to beer which was fine. The restaurant wasn't super busy and they allowed us to stay and talk even after our final payment. I found this a super plus as many would hustle us out. I would like to return and try some of their other foods another time.

Checked this place out because I am moving to the area soon. I have walked by a million times while at West End but never popped in. The interior is beautiful, with huge windows by all of the booths. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, wait was not long on a Friday night. My dirty martini was great, ordered the poutine and would probably not order again. Proportions seemed off on various ingredients, and for some reason it tasted sweet. I saw some of the food others around me ahead ordered and it looked great, will be back to try something else.

Spacious atmosphere with a nostalgic ambiance from the past as the soft accordion music plays in the background. Clean with great speedy service and great food. Don't tell anybody!

Google
I'd never been there before. But the ambiance was very good. Very cool, laid back. With the booths that ad glass around you it felt very Irish. Had that atmosphere. Food was delicious. We had some pepperoni pizza soft pretzels and mushroom pizza also artichoke dip. I can't speak to the prices as my family paid. But it was a great spot to come. I definitely would like to go back.

Google
Food is pretty good We ordered Shepherd's pie and Poutine and they are both quite tasty. Would definitely consider going back.

Yelp
This place has all the right pub vibes with style and class! The staff is super fun and knowledgeable. This is my third time in and the experience is always the same and we love - consistency (when it's this level of good). I grabbed the fish and chips which is my absolute favorite in town. The batter is everything you want. Speaking of which - their fries are the perfect complement with their seasoning and crisp. Highly recommend!!!

Cassie R.

Yelp
If you are a fish and chips fan this is the place for you. I'm not much for fish and chips but others in my group are and said it's some of the best they've had in the Twin Cities. I got the Corned Beef and Cabbage which was excellent! Another group member got the Hearty Shepherd's Pie and said it was very good. Portion sizes are large here so yiu get your monies worth. We were here midweek so it wasn't packed, but service was on the slower side. This gave us the opportunity to chat uninterrupted, but it would have been nice to be checked on a bit more frequent. It's a large restaurant with very comfortable chairs and various table sizes to accommodate groups of all sizes.

Kavitha P.

Yelp
One of my go to spots for fish and chips when I get that craving Service this time around was pretty slow and the place isn't busy Prefer the downtown location but this is closer to home Easy parking in the free parking lot at west end shops

John Z.

Yelp
We haven't been there for a long time and that was a mistake! Super fun and funky atmosphere, great food, great beer, and good service!

Lucy N.

Yelp
Rachel was a great server!! Thank you for a great first trip to this fun bar. We had a large table and she handled us well.

Stacy A.

Yelp
We had a great time trying the local. I've drive by many times but never tried it. The space is open and bright and was family friendly. My husband got the walleye fish and chips and I got the Irish poutine as my main. Both were good. The kids meals are cute and I love that they all come with fruit. They also have a cool loyalty program that rewards you when you sign up, on your birthday, and at various times of the year. One negative was the cocktails.. I tried the Tequila Mockingbird and it was flavorless. But I guess tequila is not a pub specialty.. We will be back!

Oliver S.

Yelp
Every-time I come here, which is at least once a week, they knock it out of the park. Everyone is so friendly, fantastic service and amazing specials! You really feel like you're stepping into a local pub every time. Love the lunchtime specials. My favorite is the bangers and mash, but I've never had anything below par here ever.

Jan K.

Yelp
Loud, whether you are inside or outside. The food and service were okay. We shared the Pub Pretzel and Reuben Egg Roll apps and the New York Strip Steak Frites. It was just the case where the pretzel and egg rolls were average, and the sauces were average. $51 for the New York Strip Steak Frites (because we added mushroom) and that was average. Service was average. There just wasn't a single thing that stood out.

Christopher H.

Yelp
Top 3 fish and chips. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Service was excellent definitely be back when in the twin cities.

Steve M.

Yelp
Walked over during happy hour to have a beer and a quick dinner. Happy hour goes from 3-6 and includes $2 off draft beers and appetizers. They have plenty of beer options. The service was spot on. The menu has plenty of choices. I started with the pretzel which was hot and fluffy. The hot mustard was very spicy and very good. I followed that up with some dry rub wings that were ok. Not great but not awful. Just kind of plain. The only odd thing is the 5% service charge that the restaurant claims is for the staff but shouldn't be counted as part of their tip. Yeah right. Why not just have a mandatory tip percentage. The wording of the 5% is pretty odd.

Jeff L.

Yelp
My reason for leaving 2 stars is the fees added to the end of our bill. We paid via the handheld the waitress brought to our table. The total seemed a little high, so my "accountant" daughter asked for a copy of the receipt. To my surprise there was a 5% fee added to "pay wait staff a fair wage". Another 3% plus for using credit card. I thought our waitress did a great job and I tipped accordingly. I have worked in the restaurant business and have always considered myself a good tipper. However, having another 5% added to my already generous tip put me in a foul mood and somewhat soured what had been an enjoyable lunch. The service charge for using my credit card is a reason for me not to frequent this restaurant in the future. It may be a petty issue, but I would rather they just raise their prices to cover these costs.

Yelp
The pub vibes at the Local are immaculate! This is a favorite spot for us to come in the winter or when it's rainy to feel cozy. ATMOSPHERE: This is what you come for! I love the vibes in here, especially when cold or rainy. If you're lucky, get one of the enclosed booths around the edges! FOOD: Get their chicken shots! I had the Rachel this time and wished it has more flavor/sauce. My partner had the burger and it was average. Good comfort / classic pub food! HAPPY HOUR: $2 off drinks and apps on weekdays 3-6pm I believe. SERVICE: Friendly and efficient! Our food was out so fast last night. Great spot to cozy up in West End!

Ariel L.

Yelp
Authentic Irish! Owner is from Ireland, the wood that forms around the booths were also imported from Ireland, and even most of the decor are from Ireland! Good food, affordable, and nice portions! We tried the pot roast, chicken pub pie (yes, it's pub) and fish & chips and they were all great, came fast! Plus the chocolate cheesecake, wow that tasted great! And of course they have a Guinness on tap! It's even poured the right way! Great place to hangout, watch sports, or just enjoy a good meal with a pint!

Kelsey D.

Yelp
My friends and I ended up coming to the local after punch bowl was closed for an event one night. They were able to get us seated quickly even with it being busier that night. I got a strongbow cider that was on tap and others in my group got nachos, a burger, and cider or non alcoholic drinks. To get our check at the end we had to go up and ask a bartender and they brought one of my friends the wrong food the first time. The restaurant was also loud so even across from friends it was difficult to hear. Overall, it may be a better experience at a different table and the drinks and food were still good and well priced.

Andy M.

Yelp
I came here with my local work team, and we had a marvelous time! The food was great, the staff was very attentive and flexible, and the vibe was awesome. Our waitress, Tara, was amazing. We required a lot of flexibility, and she not only took it in stride, she had a genuine smile on the whole time. I was so impressed with the grace in which she served us. What a great stop!!

Carmen J.

Yelp
Great ambience it makes me feel like I am taking a wonderful train ride and eating really good food. Great service I found a Really nice beer that I liked. a nice cream ale for people that don't like beer but for people that do like beer have a wonderful selection.

Rose R.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch this week. The place has aa nice Irish restaurant feel to it Lloyd of wood and windows Bartender was quick to greet me and helpful with the menu The manager stopped to visit as well The menu provides a good variety of options I ordered the wee burger and sweet potato fries and cup of soup split pea with veggiies delish! Will def be back for a happy hour soon!

Yelp
Met a friend at the local before a theater event downtown. Wanted a Irish theme since we were attending an Irish show at the State theater. Enjoyed my cocktail, an old fashioned that was nicely balanced. My Reuben was great. The Reuben had just right balance of ingredients and made for a nice sandwich. I'm not a huge French fry fan, but they were served fresh and hot with my sandwich. Like the decor, we had our own private booth, sort of enclosed. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. West End is great because of the underground parking. Great for the rainy and snowy days.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Old school classy yet rustic ambiance? Cool booths. We took a two seater high top and ordered a cocktail to start off the weekend right. We couldn't decide what we wanted - too many of the options sounded good. So we both got a sandwich, cut it in half and swapped a piece. Lots of flavor going on with their meatloaf, spiced perfectly. Could've used more of the sauce, but ketchup and meatloaf go hand-in-hand, so I decided to fix it up Midwest style. The walleye was fried in old oil, you could tell by the color, but the flavor was wonderful, not "fishy". I had a well dressed side salad and my partner got fries. The fries weren't really salty or seasoned, but they were TRUE potatoes. So if you enjoy the purity of a big potato wedge, this is your spot. Free ramp parking in Saint Louis Park. This is on the pricier end.

Yelp
Super good food here! This is a new iteration of the Cooper; they've remodeled and re-branded but they didn't alter the Cooper's menu too much. Which is good news because the food is quite, quite good. I came in with family members and between us we had a Cara Club, a Reuben, a Chicken Pub Pie, and a Quinoa Salad with chicken. All four of us felt our food was solidly above average. My Cara Club came with extremely tasty pulled turkey and thick-cut candied bacon, and it was just awesome. I also had a bread pudding pie thing for dessert that maybe wasn't mind-blowing, but was good and unique. The interior has a pleasant look to it; it's very open and wooden-y, which makes it kind of loud when there are a lot of people. But they have an answer to that in the form of reserveable booths they call "snugs". If you want a more intimate experience you should angle for one of those. I liked the atmosphere overall, and our server worked really hard to keep us happy, and was friendly from beginning to end. I will be back multiple times, both to try more of their food offerings and to just re-up on that awesome club sandwich.

Yelp
Arrived at The Local for lunch around 2:15 for work. They have a very cute lunch menu where all of the items are $11 and under (totaling to about $12.15 after taxes). I ordered the "Wee Fish & Chips" while my manager ordered the "Wee Burger". All lunch entree options come with a side salad and fries (mine came with fries automatically due to the name). The service was very good and I always had my soda and water glass filled. The atmosphere is AMAZING. Even in the middle of the day it felt quaint and home-y while also embodying the feeling of a traditional Irish Pub. Our food arrived quickly (the place was not busy at all, maybe three other dining groups aside from us). The fish & chips were phenomenal. I know it's a simple fried fish with chips, but it was very good and I was even provided malt vinegar like you would in Ireland. The only con I have to this was that the breading was a little too much for me. There was almost more breading than there was fish, but the breading itself was still good. The tartar sauce, on the other hand, was GREAT. I dipped my fries in it as well. My manager frequents this restaurant and I can see why. I would highly recommend taking a business partner here for lunch (or any time of the day, really). It will definitely impress them. There is also a full bar if you go in the later hours.

Gina N.

Yelp
Great authentic Irish restaurant, the food.....delicious! The atmosphere nd decor is beautiful. Bringing all my friends back here. The only thing missing would be authentic Irish music.......bring your bagpipe, fiddle and flute!

Tyra L.

Yelp
You've gotta get the bacon tots yum yum yum! We came in on a weeknight and it was pretty dead compared to the other restaurants around. You order right from your phone at the table - which was a little bit confusing to coordinate as a group. Half our party ended up ordering and the other half only realized once the food had arrived. Something to get used to in the new Covid world.

Dylan O.

Yelp
Very neat place to eat with some amazing food. I can't recommend this place enough. The service was fast and very helpful, and the booth we sat in was very unique and made for a super enjoyable time. It had a very relaxed feel yet very professional feel.

Lloyd W.

Yelp
We enjoyed a pleasant welcome from the hostess who seated us for a late lunch on a freezing Minnesota weekday. Bt the time we arrived it was well past the lunchtime rush so the restaurant was probably 10% occupied...a relaxed break from the Covid-related tension felt by many diners these days. Server (Sally) visited quickly took drink orders and arrived again to take our order. My lunch menu Reuben w/ fries and side salad ($10) and friend's Pub Curry with Chicken arrived in just over 10 minutes. While the Reuben lunch portion was fine (see photo) the overall flavor was nothing special at all. The Pub Curry platter ordered from the "full" menu was plentiful and fresh. Generally the experience was clearly just OK. Our server disappeared during lunch and we also waited more than 15 minutes for our check (we eventually tracked down a manager who kindly processed payment). So that, along with the small flies that joined our table throughout lunch, were significant distractions that cause me to drop my rating from 3 to 2 stars. Based on the comments from other Yelpers I'd probably try The Local again at some point. Still, we were disappointed and will remain loyal to other area pub-style spots.

Isaac A.

Yelp
Good food, friendly staff, cold drinks. Enjoyed a few drinks and brunch. Plenty of open space and employees were all Covid conscious.

Jenny Y.

Yelp
This was originally Cooper Pub - they updated some of the decor over the past several weeks, but the menu is mostly the same. They've added more enclosed booths along the windows, which can make it a good date night spot, especially since each table had a candle on it. Prices are what you expect for restaurants at the West End - not a great value, but also not crazy expensive. We enjoyed the food we ordered, and there are other items on the menu that we want to try in the future. Service was great, and our waitress Robin was really nice and friendly. Happy hour Monday-Friday 2-6pm and late night happy hour Sunday-Thursday 9pm-midnight: most drinks are $2 off and all appetizers are $2 off! Calamari & Veg (4/5) - was surprised by how much calamari we got - definitely a good portion size and good for sharing - it was more tentacles and not thick pieces of calamari meat. I liked the fried (but not battered) mini peppers and pickles that came with it - helped to break up the heaviness of the dish. It was served with marinara and a garlic aioli. My only complaint is that there was a little bit too much batter on the calamari. Vincent Burger (4.5/5) - the burger patty is thick and juicy since it's stuffed with Gouda cheese, so I thought the burger was pretty good. That said, if you want a good burger, there are other places to get a better burger for the same price or less. I got it with mashed potatoes, but you can also get it with fries - thick steak fries or skinny fries. Corned Beef & Cabbage (4/5) - loved the sauce in this dish - it was savory and buttery and went great with the potatoes and cabbage in the dish. Overall a solid corned beef dish. Drinks: Sinful Cider (2/5) - This was disappointing. Overly strong whiskey taste - and this is coming from my fiancé who loves whiskey. We've had a similar hot cider drink at other places that mask the alcohol better with the cider. That said, this could be a good value if you're looking to get drunk. Frostbite (5/5) - This was crisp and refreshing - would be a great drink to enjoy in the summertime. The grapefruit nicely offset some of the sweetness of the Strongbow. I would get this again.

Ryan D.

Yelp
A great Irish pub but their current menu and ordering system is a little clunky. They're using a QR code to scan the menu which brings you to an online app to order. You have to enter a payment card and then order. Maybe it was just us but we made part of our order and then had to re-enter payment again due to an issue. We chose to order from the server instead to avoid going through all that. The food was great! Their corned beef and cabbage has a delicious garlic cream sauce with tender carrots and cabbage. It was a smaller portion though and I could've used more. The pot roast was tender and delicious!

Kathryn G.

Yelp
I've been to the local a few times now and continue to enjoy their food! I'd recommend their Veggie Lucy Burger - without cheese for my taste buds - and the Walleye Sandwich. This time I tried out the Mushroom Flatbread and Chicken Pub Pie. The mushroom flatbread was crispy on the bottom and loaded on top with mushrooms. I would definitely order this again. The last time I was at the Local, I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. Unfortunately that was WAY too salty. So this time I ordered the Chicken Pub Pie, and this is a WINNER. The filling is very flavorful and stuffed with chicken AND veggies. I will be back when craving another chicken pub pie. The only reason that I am giving four stars is because of the service. Each time, service has been slow. Don't expect your food to arrive quickly or that you won't have to ask for water or the check. Despite this, I will go back because of their food!

Mark R.

Yelp
This bar was closed for an entire year... I was delighted when I saw yesterday that they had reopened. They gutted it of its personality. They implemented a QR code ordering system which gets rid of pretty much all staff interaction. I didn't recognize any of the staff, they all seemed new, and the cut their tap beers in all half. The food was always good but honestly the restaurant has less of an Irish pub feel and more of an airport restaurant vibe. The qr system adds an automatic 18% gratuity so tipping is no longer necessary... this is the only part of my experience I enjoyed. I'm very aware that the QR code system is for covid safety but I honestly think most patrons would have a more enjoyable personable time at a TGI fridays. From 2009-2020 this was the best pub in the cities. Covid game and destroyed it. I hope it gets better eventually.

Delilah A.

Yelp
This place is very cool and the food was great! We went for a work dinner and enjoyed some appetizers and drinks before our main mea. We sat in a cool little booth that gave our party a bit of intimacy. It made the experience and experience and not just another restaurant. Everyone loved their meals and clear their plates. Only thing they should improve on is getting more unique alcohol (vodkas and gins like Monkey 47) since they have such unique whiskey offerings. I would def go back during my next visit!

Yvonne M.

Yelp
We've always enjoyed the Local downtown, but the newer location is St. Louis Park is now our favorite. Same great food, easy parking and a movie theater steps away, I mean it can't get any better! The staff were great and attentive. The food and drinks were very good. They still have the full bar with monthly specials. They also have several televisions for MN sports viewing.

Matt C.

Yelp
This restaurant is wonderful! The decor is fantastic, truly reminded me of an Irish or British pub. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. It's loud, but there are several private booths that offer a rather pleasant escape from the pub noise. The hostess was very pleasant, seated us quickly and ensured we were happy with our table. The waitress was also great, quick, and attentive. There is a wonderful selection of beers on tap (mostly Irish flare). We had the corned beef and cabbage, which was cooked perfectly. The corned beef was tender and not chewy. The vegetables were also perfect. Too often the vegetables are overcooked and mushy. It was not the case here. The Shepherds Pie was awesome! Fair warning it was very hot. Last the kids fish and chips was very impressive for a kids meal. Our daughter loved the fish, she also had fruit, fries, and a cookie. No complaints. Everything was seasoned to perfection and very easy to eat. This was a great experience! There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try, and I definitely want to return for more. If you are looking for a great Irish pub with great food, then look no further.

Shawn S.

Yelp
The West End version of Cara Irish Pubs is still a swing and a miss for me. I was excited to go to the reopening after they kicked the Cooper brand to the curb. Yes they painted the walls green instead of the Tiffany blue from before......but versus the downtown Local or Liffey, which are super authentic.....Keegan's which is like an old Irish pub/reading room....Kieran's which is Irish nautical themed.......West End Local is your granny's Irish bar. Don't get me wrong - love the free parking and the food is great. The seating is OK with 4 - get a bar high top. If you have 5 or more - think velvet chairs at a dining type table. Heck - that's my opinion and I'm sure others will feel differently. What I'm saying, is for my likes, I prefer the other Cara locations.

Nancy H.

Yelp
Drinks were generous, service was great and food was delicious !!!! Small menu but what they serve is the best... A must stop..

Allen B.

Yelp
Food quality is lower and prices are higher. For example, no calamari appetizer now, that has been replaced by breaded cod bites that are too heavy on breading. The corned beef on the Reuben sandwich is tougher and less flavorful. This combination is now $29.

Robert S.

Yelp
Okay, im not one to randomly give out 5 star ratings but this is an exception. The service was 10/10. I always had a full glass of beer and I decided to order the Corned Beef Poutine and holy crap was it amazing. I live right around the corner and just moved here 2 days ago and I will definitely be back! Between the food and the fact that they have Paulaner on draft, im in!

Lisa N.

Yelp
The Local just recently opened its new location in the West End (St. Louis Park), replacing what had been Cooper for many years. The remodel is beautiful, staying true to the feel of its downtown sister. The menu is slightly different from what Cooper had offered (I was sad to see my fave Nicoise Salad no longer offered). I went with my husband for the first time since the remodel and had a great experience. The staff is fantastic, and really went above and beyond to make our experience a positive one. Wyatt, the manager, is friendly and professional, going around to ensure that everyone is getting great service. It makes it feel like a super-friendly, established neighborhood pub. Our server, Robin, was outgoing, high-energy and attentive. The team, led by the corporate manager, Vilad, makes it all look easy----when it's certainly not easy. The food is good, and the service is friendly and efficient. They're clearly making a big effort to do it all right, and it shows. Well done.

B B.

Yelp
First time here. Sat at the bar. Waiters were awesome, friendly, knowledgeable. Hubby ordered fish and chips. Nice portion of cod. A bit greasy but very yummy. I had a Reuben sandwich with side salad, both were delicious. Need to come during happy hour because beers were very expensive ($6 for Miller Lite!)

John D.

Yelp
Love the remodel! My girlfriend and I stopped here yesterday for lunch and have to say we were both impressed! Still the same cool bar that Cooper had, now with added booths and a few design changes. Similar to the Local downtown. Love the booths! My girlfriend got the steak and mushroom pie and I got the chicken pub pie. Both were fantastic, but we both decided the chicken pub pie was the winner of the two. We both also had a pint of Guinness which were served fresh and with the perfect pour (hard to get at a lot of places around here). Our server (don't remember her name) was attentive and timely. We enjoyed her suggestions and she was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu. Service was spot on. Definitely going back Sunday to check their brunch. This was exactly the the kind of change this place needed.

Gita B.

Yelp
Nice to the Local at West End. Came in on St. Patty's day so of course it was very lively. Good selection of Irish beers and beers from great Britain. Nice classic and classy Irish bar.

Patrick S.

Yelp
Came for dinner while on a business trip. As soon as you walk in, you're met with a really cool vintage atmosphere; quality woodwork, crimson and fern walls, antique fixtures and tiling, etc. All the details are done right. I had the corned beef and cabbage for dinner, which was amazing. The corned beef itself is good and it comes in an incredibly flavorful broth with perfectly cooked vegetables. I could see how the broth might be too salty for some but it was all I could do not to drink it with a straw. Good service and drink selection too. I'll definitely be back to test the depth of the menu.

Ed D.

Yelp
Met a friend here for Friday Fish & Chips hoping for a great experience. Note: if you join the free Pub Club, you get a free appetizer on your visit, so we chose the calamari & veg dish. We waited an unusual amount of time before a server brought one fish & chips dinner before we got our appetizer. Our waiter corrected the server's error and a few minutes later our calamari arrived. We joked that the fish & chips dinner was probably going under the heat lamp while we ate the calamari. The hot peppers and pickles were thermally as hot as the calamari, so they may have been deep fried along with the calamari, which was undercooked, had too much batter, and was oily. We could hardly taste the calamari. About 10 minutes later, the fish & chips dinners were presented with similar issues - too much batter, oily, and the fish was way overcooked! The chips (steak fries) were flabby with no color. It appeared that the frying oil was too cool based on my past experience cooking in fast food restaurants. We expressed our displeasure to our waiter, who acknowledged our concerns and then went to find the manager. Dan, the manager, expressed great concern and asked if he could bring our plates to show the cook. When Dan returned, he said that the fryers were inadvertently set 50 degrees hotter than they should have been, so he thanked us for helping him identify what could have been a grave outcome in the kitchen. He thanked us profusely saying we saved his kitchen from putting out subpar food. He rewarded us by comping the entire bill. This is the kind of service we all expect when we dine out - own up to your mistakes, keep guests informed of what was done to resolve the issue, and offer to redo the dish or compensate the guests. I will likely give them another try based on their service standards.

Katlyn P.

Yelp
Update: Since we still had a $40 gift card to burn and my other half was craving fish and chips, we went back. The manager came over to ensure we were having a food experience. And we did! The waitress was great and the food came out extremely fast. While we live in the area, we will be back for the occasionally dinner out.

Yelp
Food: Taste 9/10 Portion 4/10 Service: 4/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Let's start with the service. Our waiter was okay-not great. He was not attentive and we waited a long time- like 30 mins for two burgers. At the end of our meal, the host came and asked us if we were on the waitlist or if we just seated ourselves, accusing us of taking a table? (We were on the list and waited 20 mins to be seated by the other host) It was very uncomfortable and luckily we were leaving anyways. Luckily I give servers the benefit of the doubt because I've worked in customer service and know the drill, but have communication with your fellow hosts before you make a customer feel accused and uncomfortable for nothing. Food. We ordered the Vincent Burger (add bacon) and sweet potato fries and the Bison Burger with mashed potatoes and gravy. The flavors in the burgers were really great, the fries and mashed potatoes were good - nothing special. The portions of the burger and fries were a huge letdown. We were really hungry and we left wanting to stop across the street at Five Guys to complete our meals... the $2 add on for bacon was sad... 1 strip of bacon?? And the $2 add on for sweet potato fries was awful with the maybe 20 fries I received. I paid $20 for a burger and fries and felt I needed to go somewhere else for a second meal.. If you're looking for a decent bite to eat but not super hungry and don't mind waiting then this place would be okay. We, unfortunately, will not be returning. There are plenty of other places to get a good burger and fries for a lot less $$ and will not make us want to stop to fill up on the way home.

Yelp
I was in on Saturday and I ordered the fish and chips , my husband had the shrimp tacos, the fish was so burnt and dripping grease I couldn't even eat it.. the tacos were terrible , sauce was sour it tasted fermented , the tortillas were hard and the lettuce was brown an wilted.. we were from out of town so I was disappointed. .. to make matters worse before we left my husband used the restroom and one of your cooks had been in there the same time , he was talking on his phone using inappropriate language and being very loud , then did not wash his hands before leaving..probably the same person who cooked our food.. and the way he was dressed you should probably have restrooms for staff , we will not be back and the only reason you got 1 star is because there was no other option for leaving a comment

Yelp
A friend of mine you used to work at the Local and after talking to him I wanted to check it out. But as chance would have it my friends reserved a room there for our party so I finally made a trip here to try it out. I must say when I entered the inside I was wowed by the interior. The place looked just like a nice European pub. Being at an Irish Pub I just had to get a pint of Guinness! The bartender knew exactly how to properly serve it up as well. He went through the 5 steps which meant it took a bit longer to bring out but the presentation and taste was on point. A properly served Guinness Pint is a huge win in my book! The extra wait is totally worth it! For food I ordered up some classic Fish'n'Chips. This place apparently makes a good fish n chips and I wanted to try myself first hand. When the server brought out my food I was impressed at the size of the fish I got. It was like they fillet a whole side of a fish and then battered it up and then fried it. The first good indication that this was gonna be delicious was the color of the breading. A nice brown color, not tan, but brown. Also the breading wasn't a perfect shape but had longer drip bits sticking out here and there. It was clearly hand dipped. As I took a bite into the battered fish the breading was still moist inside and the fish was flaky. I knew I found and amazing fish n chips and the rumors were true. I normally wouldn't order this dish honestly because I always assumed it was so simple and plain boring. But this place gave me a new appreciation for fish n chips! The fries were good too! My experience here was great and this place helped give me a new outlook on Fish n Chips. I would highly recommend ordering that here and getting a lovely pint of Guinness to accompany your meal! Come here with friends and or family to have a good time.

Yelp
Came to this place as part of my son's hockey tournament, my family and I wanted to do something different and not a traditional chain, we all love Irish food (and music), but the table they put 5 of us in was beyond cramped the menu was more Irish "inspired" and we ended up leaving after drinks and appetizers.

Yelp
Told that I was to leave because I was stumbling when the other 4 guests were fine to have another drink. How do you feel when you are the only non white person to be turned down for service when you have done nothing wrong?
