Stopped by The Locker Room in Houston's 3rd Ward for a brunch pregame before catching the Detroit Lions face off against the Houston Texans, and I have to say--it was the perfect kickoff! This sports-themed bar near TSU has amazing vibes with lively decor, great music, and flat-screen TVs everywhere so you can catch any game you're into.
The brunch menu was solid. I ordered the French Toast Breakfast, which came with two perfectly fluffy French toast slices, eggs, and my choice of bacon or sausage for $17. Delicious and satisfying--I devoured it like I hadn't eaten in weeks! My brother-in-law got a mimosa tower, but since they'd run out of towers, they set us up with a bottle of champagne and some OJ so we could make our own. It worked out just fine!
We also ordered a hookah for the table--$40 for hookah on weekends, with free coals and $20-25 for refills. The setup was smooth and added to the laid-back vibe of the place.
The servers were awesome, too. Things got a little busy, but they still checked in on us whenever they could, making sure we had everything we needed.
They've also got a cool outdoor patio area, which adds to the relaxed, social atmosphere. Overall, The Locker Room is a great spot for sports fans or anyone looking for a good time with good food. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston!
