10/10 run don't walk!! First and Formose the food is absolutely amazing! A few recommendations would be them hot honey wings and the stuff salmon, both being my fav thus far after many visits. The vibes are there the minute u walk in the door, u are greated by some of the most beautiful girls, full of life and personality on top of the music and atmosphere. My server really made me feel welcomed and offered amazing service, she recommended the third ward hookah and honestly some of the best hookah in the city. If you are looking for great food, excellent customer service, & a welcoming atmosphere. Look no further i would suggest this place over and over and over again. I'll be back asap

I had an awesome experience at The Locker Room! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly — everything we ordered tasted amazing. The wings and seafood rolls were definitely the highlight! My mother and aunt were visiting from out of town and stopped here for brunch after church. Service was great as well as the food. We all ate our meals and the ladies even ordered more food to take home. Tara or Tarra possibly gave my older family members perfect descriptions of the menu. Returned a few days later by myself to enjoy a hookah and sports game. Decided to get wings but was shocked to see that brunch was served all day. Would definitely recommend stopping in! I will be back also.

I’ve been here before and the vibes were great. This time I ordered to go oxtails and they weren’t the best, firstly, my plate barely had rice , no gravy and barely 2 oxtails, I paid $40. This price is egregious to say the least. Then the oxtails had a bunch of pepper. I’m disappointed.

The Locker Room Bar & Grill is easily one of my favorite spots in Houston! Great atmosphere, plenty of TVs for any game, and the staff always make you feel welcome. The wings and loaded tots were amazing, and the drinks were strong and reasonably priced. I love that they have fun specials and themed nights — it keeps things fresh. Perfect place to hang out with friends, catch a game, or unwind after work. Highly recommend!

We had a great girls day out. We visited last Saturday. Myself an 2 girlfriends. We carpooled which made it easier for parking. There was a little wait. We were greeted by our beautiful server Celine. We ordered our drinks. I had the Lamb chops and my friends both ordered the oxtails. Service was great! celine kept checking on us. She recommended the lemon drops …. Really good. We plan to come back next Saturday. If you visit… ask for Celine. She really took care of us.

It is New Year's day and no restaurants are open but the Locker Room is. I learned about this place through IG food reviewer. The food looked delicious in video. We arrived shortly after opening and was greeted. Although there was open tables for seating, we chose to sit at the bar. To our surprise we arrived during happy Hour which was from 5-8pm. I believe Saturday's Happy Hour starts at 9pm. We ordered a couple $6 HH drinks along with the seafood egg rolls which were so good, 9/10. I also got the seafood platter with mac n cheese....10/10!!! My fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. Crispy and flavorful! The mac n cheese was also fire. As the night went on we continued with HH and vibing to some great music. I will most definitely be back!

LEMON PEPPER WINGS WERE DELICIOUS!!CRAWFISH EGG ROLLS WERE HORRIBLE- NEEDED BOUDIN RICE IN IT or dirty rice. Service was terrible- waitress took everyone's pmt and only brought 1 order of food- never brought other orders. Just Terrible. DJ WAS GOOD- spot is small and luckily it wasn't packed so we were seated QUICKLY however....the waitress told us we had to move because booth was reserved yet she sat us there- Terrible.

Stopped by The Locker Room in Houston's 3rd Ward for a brunch pregame before catching the Detroit Lions face off against the Houston Texans, and I have to say--it was the perfect kickoff! This sports-themed bar near TSU has amazing vibes with lively decor, great music, and flat-screen TVs everywhere so you can catch any game you're into. The brunch menu was solid. I ordered the French Toast Breakfast, which came with two perfectly fluffy French toast slices, eggs, and my choice of bacon or sausage for $17. Delicious and satisfying--I devoured it like I hadn't eaten in weeks! My brother-in-law got a mimosa tower, but since they'd run out of towers, they set us up with a bottle of champagne and some OJ so we could make our own. It worked out just fine! We also ordered a hookah for the table--$40 for hookah on weekends, with free coals and $20-25 for refills. The setup was smooth and added to the laid-back vibe of the place. The servers were awesome, too. Things got a little busy, but they still checked in on us whenever they could, making sure we had everything we needed. They've also got a cool outdoor patio area, which adds to the relaxed, social atmosphere. Overall, The Locker Room is a great spot for sports fans or anyone looking for a good time with good food. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston!

Went here for brunch while visiting Houston. This spot is so cute on the inside, good music and good service. The food was SO good. The shrimps and grits was seasoned well and the grits were nice and creamy. The chicken was fresh and fried perfectly as per my cousin. Mango Mimosa carafe hit the spot too! Didn't like that a saw some flies in the restaurant nor that they used plastic cups and plastic utensils. Even though I saw tables that had champagne glasses...

My friends and I stopped in for brunch before the TSU PV game under the impression that the advertised brunch specials would be honored, however that's not quite what happened. We were seated by Havi who was sweet checked on us periodically and handled our food with care but when we asked about the advertised specials that were listed on their website she told us those were not accurate or available even though we pulled it up on our phones to show exactly what we were talking about. She made about 3 trips between our table and the manager (who never came to speak to us herself) before she took the phone over to the manager with the clearly marked ad for that date stating hookahs were $20 and mimosa carafes were $10. After she returned she informed us the manager would only offer the specials for the 1st round of drinks and hookah but after that it would be regular price. The food comes out and everything tastes fine nothing is cold but we ended up canceling the hookah because it was taking too long to come out. The food is good but it seems like we were baited in with false advertising or shady business practices. As soon as the manager agreed to honor the special they had up it was scrubbed from the website by 11:35am, keep in mind we arrived and were seated about 11:15am. If anything get your food to go and keep your receipts.

On today's episode of I want better for Black establishments, my friends and I visited this restaurant for brunch and were told the brunch table minimums were $250. I could look over the loud music, the fact that they advertised a mimosa tower but only had one that another party was using, and that hookah served during brunch, for the fact that this restaurant is located near a university, but I cannot get over the plastic wrapped cutlery sets we received instead of actual silverware. A $250 minimum table requirement and plastic wrapped cutlery doesn't make sense.

Ordered the oxtail dinner plate from Uber eats. For the price of this plate, they barely give you oxtail, just 4 pieces. The flavor of their gravy they cook oxtails in is really good but it's just not worth the price for me. They up-charge for all the sides except for the plain white rice. The side containers aren't even filled all the way. For two plates it was not worth spending $100.

This is an excellent spot for Sunday Funday. The drinks and food were amazing! I ordered the lemon pepper wings with cheese grits. The wings were superb and the flavor was just right. I also ordered a frozen cocktail, Skittles. The drink featured multiple flavors of Vodka. I truly enjoyed every sip. My only concern was I noticed a lip stick stain on my glass half way through my drink and I wasn't wearing lipstick. I alerted my server and she replaced my drink in a disposable cup. Overall it was a great experience. The DJ was great and our server was very friendly. I can't wait to return for the wings

Very cute bar and music! They have hookah for you with a fun vibe! They gave a good menu for food and drinks. I ordered the collard greens and they were very yummy! For my drink I ordered the Jhenny 4rom da block and it was pretty good with not to much sweetness! The service was really good and attentive! The servers made sure we were ok and needed anything! This is why I'll be back when I visit Houston! They said they close at 2 on Yelp but they closed early this day at 12, which was a bummer. Fortunately, I had fun. The wings were so good! We tried several flavors and they were all good and had the perfect amount of crisp. The waitresses were cute and attentive. I absolutely love the decor in the bathrooms of influential black men and women!

Loved the DJ and the service. Food was underwhelming. The chicken was mediocre and waffles were thick. Seafood egg rolls tasted like vinegar. My friends fish & grits was the best food item and I don't normally like grits. Drinks were okay.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this place . The oxtails was good, our server was really nice .. the ambiance was eye catching I love the upgrades they done from passed pictures I've seen. The parking was free. The food came out in a good time. I dont drink liquor but my friend had a drink and she liked her chicken and waffles too .

This Sunday was Chicago takeover in Houston, I've been going to this place for over a year, great food without question, but Sunday was the straw that broke the camels back. 1. $20 parking when normally $10 2. We had 4 margaritas with Espilon tequila (not premium) the bill contained a $12.00 Up charge for what? Up charge is only for on the rocks, look it up!, 20% service charge (server was great) So in closing almost $100 for 4 non premium, you're in 3 ward, near TSU, not the Galleria or River Oaks won't be returning SMH

This is always a great spot to come for drinks and catch the game. Came here late on a Saturday night. We decided to give the food a try on this visit. We ordered the stuffed salmon, lamb chop dinner, fried chicken quesadilla, and seafood eggrolls. For drinks we had the peach sangria sidecar w/ Dusse and a JHenny 4rm da block. I've clearly been sleep because the food is amazing! My personal favorites were the seafood eggrolls and lamb chops, but all of the food was delicious. Our server was great and attentive. The atmosphere is great, plenty of TVs with sports on and a live dj keeping you entertained.

Good customer service, lit vibes, good music, flavorful food & good drinks. The couple of times we visited, we got the shrimp pasta, wings, boudin balls, oh and the seafood egg rolls are bombbbb! Will be back!

Stopped in here to check it out after seeing it on Instagram. What saved the review from having like a 2 was the food lol.. I'll be honest food was good. Service was mediocre and really didn't like the layout of the bar. I know it sounds petty, but the bar is too high up. Got me feeling like I'm a toddler at the bar was standing up to eat could not sit lol Ambiance is cool.. I'd come back maybe to give a another chance have a better experience next time.

This place is pretty good and the drinks be on point. I definitely highly recommend if you're visiting Houston to go check out the locker room. I would highly also recommend to Uber there or drink responsibly.

Volleyball Games were running behind at TSU and people were bringing wings in the arena that were smelling something "wonderful". Decided during our break to head-over and thrilled at the vibe on a Sunday night that was going on. We sat on the Patio and had the perfect view for some people watching, live mix music from inside and of course, Sunday Night football on the TV's all outside. We went with some Lemonade, House Margarita's, 12 piece Wings (they come in 6's so we had a mix I think of lemon pepper and maybe BBQ). Main course for me was the Oxtails... I was craving and I was impressed. I had them with Dirty Rice and it was all on point. They offer Hookah here for those really wanting to relax and the Brunch Menu has some goodies from French Toast, Chicken & Waffles and more. I was feeling the extension of the campus vibe and the staff was cool the entire time! Local spot so everyone knows each other.

The food was terrible I had the seafood egg rolls the batter was extremely thick the seafood tasted a bit uncooked as well. My wife had the notches and cheese was overcooked almost burnt with thick clumps.

Came on a Saturday for 11:30 am. Place was empty. We paid a 50.00 deposit for a table and that 50.00 does not go towards ANYTHING! That was not explained upfront! Even if you are at a clubs and reserve a table your fee goes towards something or comes with something other than the table. The food was good but after my purchase my bill Was 111.00 for 3 of us so not bad but In the bigger scheme of things I actually paid 111.00 + 50.00 = 161.00 for brunch. This is NOT A 5 star establishment and if imma pay 161.00 I should have had a much better quality restaurant. I WONT BE BACK! This is a black owned establishment and I really hate that this has happened but we need to do better!

Hear me out..... This place is super small and not quite a dive bar/ restaurant but also not far off. My only complaint is that the place is small so it's always packed. You have to wait for someone to leave to get their table because there is not really a hostess. The food is really good. Every time I try something different and I'm never disappointed. This time I tried the loaded seafood baked potato and it's probably one of the best things I've had here. The crawfish is great, fried shrimp is tasty, and the catfish is delicious. They always have a good DJ and there is hookah if you want it. I love dropping in for a bite whenever I've I'm in town.

I had a reservation for brunch for my birthday. They had no record of it, but agreed to accommodate me and honor my deposit. We sat outside in the heat for about 30-45 minutes. We had to ask for water. They finally seated us... It went from bad to worse. We ordered drinks...and waited. It was busy, so I understand...but the drinks never came. Our food came first. When we asked about the drinks, we were (rudely) told that the drink order had been put in & they were working as fast as they could... The hookah was DISGUSTING, and we ordered 4 for a party of 12. I tasted every single one, and every single flavor was nasty. The food was terrible. It was bland and tasted like air. The shrimp & grits literally tasted like NOTHING. The drinks were mediocre. We left most of them on the table, including several carafes of "mimosas". There wasn't one person in our entire party who liked anything...at all. And the service was the absolute shittiest. OAN... The DJ was good, the vibe was lit, the manager/consultant (Sean) was nice, and the security guy (who said he was contracted) went out of his way to help us get seated (hence the reason for 2 stars)...but this place was pure trash.

Im a fan of GOOD food regardless of how it's made, & their crawfish is cooked my fave way, in juice! No extra toppings or anything sitting on top of my crawfish even though I don't mind toppings & flavorings. The only downfall was the potatoes being rock hard. $6lb 3lb minimum I ordered 4lbs & it came with 2 sausage links, 2 potatoes & 1 corn. Sooo...this month Sis planned girls day out! She asked us if we wanted hood or boujee and we chose to be a little hood and went to the locker room. They have a small parking lot you can pay to park in for 10$ or you can street park for free!! It's not a huge spot, but the vibe is just right. The dj was ! He was jamming! The service is kinda what you would expect.... very slow ...so patience is needed! Please don't come here in a rush! Let me tell you about these frozen side cars that had me sweating...whoooweee! They were on point! The oxtails and grits, wings and waffles, shrimp and grits....all AWESOME and came out very hot and fresh. This is definitely a Sunday funday spot that is worth visiting. I hear 4pm is when it get extra ...but we will leave that to the youngins...lol!

I ordered the Lamb chop breakfast. The chops were tough & not hot. It was suppose to be jerk but they just poured jerk sauce on the lamb chops, so I was not impressed. I have had better. Potatoes were good, just a little salty. eggs were ok. Fish & grits was hot and a good portion size. The sauce on the grits were so good. I need the recipe for the sauce!The Frozen sidecar good and strong. They had a DJ that played hit after hit. Didn't like they add an automatic gratuity for subpar service.

Nice local sports bar. The food and service are generally very good, if a bit inconsistent. Good vibe and music. I really like how the owner is reinvesting profits (and I'm sure they make a ton) back into the business. They've added new booths, tables, decor, and tweaked the menu and recipes. Maybe they'll eventually do something with the bathrooms, too.

I sat in the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours and food still didn't come out. My group of people was being considerate and patient with the staff. It's Sunday Funday they didn't could've done better. The individual food that finally came out, it came out cold and once we were ready to go then the waiter tried to bring out the rest of our food. I hope this can help to make things better further on.

The boudin balls were the best thing of the night when I visited. My friend ordered a dry martini and the bartender just could not get it. The fajita tacos were dry and you don't get salsa while my boyfriend ordered nachos. What came out of the kitchen was chips and beef-no cheese. How do you have nachos with NO CHEESE?! On top of that, there's a 20% gratuity added to all bills.

Came here to day drink with some friends. Venue is intimate. The DJ was playing a good selection of music. The quality of hookah was great. I ordered 6 spicy garlic Parmesan wings & 6 hot Lemon pepper wings with waffle fries. The food was delicious. I was not disappointed at all.

Came in for crawfish and to celebrate Fat Tuesday. The service was great and my food came out quickly. Perfect crowd to turn up in a Tuesday.

One of my favorite bars in houston. The music is always great with dj's on the 1's and 2's! The vibe is fun and lit. Their hookah selection is great also. This spot has some of the best bar food in the city, especially to be a small business. Not to mention it's black owned!

They have really good food and I love their drink called the side car. It's also super cute in here. We enjoyed their egg rolls and and wings.

GHETTO!! I was ready to leave within 10 min and it just got worse from there. My wife's cousin had paid for two sections for her birthday and when we arrived she was told we had to wait because the other parties hadn't left the sections yet. It took about 30 minutes for us to be seated - in one of the two sections. HOURS LATER we were still only seated in ONE of the two sections because the other patrons refused to leave and management didn't do anything to honor her reservations. By this time all of her guests had arrived and were just standing around because they had nowhere to sit. In addition to that nonsense our server was HORRIBLE. After we were finally seated, it took another 30-40 minutes before she showed up and took our orders. And the whole time she was constantly rolling her eyes, acting as if we were irritating her. And of course it took awhile for the food to come out. I ordered the lamb chops and it gave me food poisoning. I was sick until the next day. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone and most certainly will not be returning.

Today was headed to one of my fave crawfish spots. But my home boy sent we a flier to try out the Locker room. Even tho I experienced poor customer service I said let's try them. There was issues on the wait since they are made to order which should be told to patrons. They were beyond SALTY. HIgh Blood Pressured status levels to say the least. Everyone (3 people) at the table agreed and sent them back. I asked would they take them off and could I send them back and just order something different. Little did I know mine wasn't gonna be taken off. Save the trip and don't come for the crawfish. The oxtails, seafood nachos and eggrolls are winners. But even then expect poor customer services, waits and miscommunication from the staff.

Food was good, and loved my red velvet waffle. The chicken wings are so good! The music was extra loud for no one to be dancing in there. lol. You can't hear each other talk. The security and service staff make you not want to come back. Also, the seating is too close together and not comfortable or disability friendly. But if you like a hood social social with a moderate sticker price and good hip hop music, then this is the spot for you. I was too old to be up there on a Sunday in my church clothes- lmbo!!! But I definitely enjoyed my food.

If I could get this company no stars I would. After waiting over 40 minutes for a waitress to come I left. I asked several people over the course of 45 minutes for assistance. I never even got a menu, water, or greeted by anyone. Then they have the nerve to have a auto 18% gratuity. This place needs a over hall in customer service. Not to mention the security was smoking hookah while he was supposed to be working. I seen several people walk in without being ID'd or search while he wasn't at the door. This is definitely a breach in security and needs to be addressed. Pros: they had various football games on and a Dj. The atmosphere was cool, it was little, but cool. Enter at your own risk.

This place was a good vibe on a Sunday. The location is kind of on the small side but the food was great and so was the customer service. The potatoes were extremely oily. However the music was great ! This was my first time here and I'll be back!

Had a good time here for brunch. Food and drinks that I tried were good. Ambiance is cool if you're looking for light turn up, hole in the wall type of vibe . They had a DJ, and have hookah. They charge $10 to park in their tiny parking lot, did not like that, and it's not even like it's valet. But you can just park in the street for free.

My Alumni group had the pleasure of hosting an event at the Locker Room yesterday. Christina was our server and she was amazing! She was warm, and friendly and handled every quest with a beautiful smile. We appreciated the prompt and excellent service. We will be back!

I went to the Locker Room last week to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a pretty cool spot. They have a dj, decent drinks, and taco Tuesdays. The prices are good, the vibe is right, and the food is also pretty good. They had tables and a decent amount of seating. In terms of parking they have limited parking right out in front of the par, but they do have street parking around. I will definitely go back.

So after "STARVING" myself to death trying to find a spot on the North Side we decided to hit "GOOD OLE' RELIABLE" The Locker Room...mind you the wings were "FIRE", I've never had an issue with food, music or atmosphere there...but real talk...their "CUSTOMER SERVICE" absolutely "SUCKED"!!! They watch you sit down, then they sit down even tho they know they haven't "GREETED YOU OR EVEN ATTEMPTED TO ASK YOU WHAT YOU NEED"!! Past that, if you go them and try to figure out who you order from (spend money) they act as if you are bothering them, like you made the mistake of thinking they work there just because they in a Locker Room uniform!! The "TOTAL KICKER" was the "ABSOLUTE GALL" to have the nerves to hit you with automatic gratuity!! Seriously I believe in tipping but when you make it mandatory then the waitresses have no reason to provide good service & that's why The Locker Room's waitresses are the "WORST IN HOUSTON"!!!
