Great film selection, although I do wish it had slightly faster turnover so we could go more often. Good diversity of theater and screen sizes. Pricing all around is perfect. $8 tickets, $11 large combo. Place has been clean as a whistle every time we’ve been. Staff are all always super friendly and seem to love working here. The best though is the crowd! This is where people go when they want to actually watch a MOVIE. Have never seen anybody with their phone out or talking or doing anything obnoxious. Everybody’s always been very immersed in the film, which enhances the viewing experience imo and is the reason to go to the movies. Love it here, only minor complaint would be that the soda fountain runs weak, as in you get a lot of soda water vs syrup, so your 7UP won’t really taste like much etc. Also if their Tepache was $4 I’d buy it everytime

Google
The best movie theater in Tucson! Plays movies you can't see anywhere else! We love being members and getting the free popcorn! Fun benefit! The new snack bar and addition are great!

Google
The staff comes across as rude as soon as you walk in. There's no greeting or eye contact, and they only engage when you ask to purchase a ticket, often with visible annoyance, as if you're interrupting their conversation. The movies themselves are great, but the customer service is not welcoming.

Katie K.

Google
Been going here for years, but lately with all the changes it hasn’t been the same pleasant experience. The food isn’t as good, people not as friendly and lots of random things that just make things a bit more inconvenient…like no list of what movies are playing, instead was directed to look at a screen that had the whole week’s schedule on it which is confusing for those not used to it. They don’t even show the ads anymore before movies all of the time, which we pay for one to be shown. I just want the old Loft back :(

Google
This was an amazing experience. It was my first time watching Brokeback Mountain, and I was moved so deeply. I didn’t expect the turnout, as I booked this on a whim to finally watch the film, but the amount of people and the energy shows its lasting impact through the decades. Thankful for the Loft Cinema for screening such a wonderful film and contributing to the film’s impact by having Diana Ossana in for the pre-screening Q&A. Will never forget it, and will be back soon 🍿

Google
I had not been here since moving to Tucson last year. I just saw Georgia O’Keeffe: The Brightness of Light. I liked the The Loft Cinema so much I came home and became a member.

Google
It's been years since I stopped in at THE LOFT. Returning to see TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE with the new expansions was quite the experience. I still enjoy the nostalgic look of the concession stands, prices for food items vary and check-in is as fast as ever. Maybe when they finalize theater 3, they will add a ticket taker so we don't have to go to the main building, then make our way to theater 3. Overall, still a fun experience and worth seeing older films I was not born yet to see. That's what thus theater brings, a nostalgic look and feel. When you want to avoid the bigger theaters and want to see classic films, The Loft is the place to be.

XED R.

Google
The cinemas great, always nice films to choose from. The employees on the other hand are not welcoming at all… I thought it was just a bad day for them but I’ve been three times since september and they’re just not cool. I hope that’ll change.

Yelp
We have a special friend that loves to come here. So the right gift is a fat gift pass so she can come a lot. Some new construction going on, but it too will pass Good choice

Yelp
Local favorite for so many reasons. The Loft serves up all the nostalgia that feeds love of all things film. I've seen movies in the small screening room as well as the large & both experiences were great. There are plenty of events to choose from as well as great film options . It's just one of those places you've gotta come check out .

Yelp
The Loft has completed its renovations. Big restroom improvements and new larger lobby with some tables and chairs. Still lots of good movies, of course. So far this month, I've seen the 1975 movie Nashville and the 2024 French movie Souleymane's Story.

Yelp
I returned for the holiday sing-a-long and absolutely loved it! They change up the mash-up of songs each year, which keeps it fresh and exciting. Make sure to buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale because it sells out every year. If seating location matters to you, arrive early to get in line. However, since the lyrics are visible on the screen from anywhere, it's not a huge deal. I do wish they offered hard seltzers. They had plenty of beer options, some wine, and yummy eggnog-flavored BuzzBalls. The nachos, on the other hand, were very basic.

Yelp
It took me eight years, but I finally made it to The Loft. I have wanted to come here for a long time, but I kept thinking, do I really want to see a movie in public? I detest going to the movies as I don't want to hear kids or people talking, people on their cell phones etc. The Loft is a much-appreciated change from more modern theaters, and I am sorry that I waited so long to come here. The rooms are more cozy and you can have adult beverages while enjoying a movie. During our weekly date night, it was so much fun to watch the Lost Boys on the big screen. The animal print carpeting made me laugh. I highly recommend the Loft to watch a movie.

Shi T.

Yelp
The theatre is fine but its patrons are problematic. Especially the ones who verbally and physically harass you and how do you as a minority report this regarding an older white female 8th grade teacher who is also a member? This has never worked out for me and I expect it least of all from my home town. Shortly after the feature was a QA/documentary crew asking questions regarding art house cinemas. One of the questions to the crowd was whether sexism and racism was still an issue... which was pretty disappointing since the women who decided to answer didn't seem to think either was an experience or an issue. I usually don't speak up when cameras are rolling but I had to, So here I am almost a decade later writing this review at 4am because I I can't sleep and gave into my impulses. I've been going to the loft for 30 years, my family restaurant hosted summer discounts for Loft customers and helped with new release promotions. I'll probably never go back there, it's really triggering to have people yell "there's pills for that" after watching a suicide documentary after avoiding a physical altercation with a woman who is extremely good at hiding abuse since she's around 12 year olds all day.

Yelp
Every film nerd in Arizona congregates at The Loft. The sort of place where some curator makes an impassioned speech before the movie starts and everybody claps. I don't have the attention span to become a regular at any theater, but I can appreciate what they have to offer. What I loved: This is actually much larger than I anticipated. There are 3+ screens, and the largest of them feels absolutely huge, even compared to some regular theaters around town. They have a formidable beer/cider selection, and good popcorn that isn't drowning in oil. Concession prices are beyond fair. What I liked: Good programming that helps you feel like a more tasteful person than all your friends. Seating that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of modern theaters, but is still comfortable. It's really worth checking out, and I'm glad to have tried something off the beaten path.

Yelp
One of my favorite cinemas in the entire US. Great movie selections and themes, comfortable seats. Many food and beer selections and fantastic popcorn! You should visit and become a Member!

Yelp
That The Loft Cinema even exists is a testament to the fact that Tucson punches above its weight in so many unexpected ways. While NYC and LA lost many of their independent film theaters, The Loft proudly presents a drooling array of films every week and I eagerly became a member. During Covid, it seemed like the movie theater would wither into extinction. Home theaters are improving every year but a standout venue like The Loft will, hopefully, never disappear because communal cultural experiences are so important. The Loft is a sacred space in this town that is raw and quirky.

Craig B.

Yelp
Extremely memorable experiences will be had at The Loft. I've never been disappointed for over 20 years. And the new remodel additions are beautiful. Plus the programming and staff are amazing and one of a kind.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Love The Loft. We have been members for several years and really enjoy it. The addition and renovation make it even better

Yelp
Always up for a good movie at The Loft Cinema. Great Popcorn & Ginger Ale for me! Great staff who serve you well. Great atmosphere. Clean & Fun.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! The Grease sing along tonight was so much fun I had the best time ever!! Thanks so much for putting on a wonderful performance tonight we had a blast!!!
google avatar

Yelp
So much fun! The Loft is more than a movie theater, it's an experience. Especially when you go to an event. We just went for Hocus Pocus, and it was fantastic. "Billy" looked deadly (bad joke, but had to be done) and was a great master of ceremony. He led audience in a sing along, costume contest and through the contents of goodie bag, which were very thoughtfully selected. At points through out the movie billy hopped on the microphone to remind you to use a specific item. Very fun. They also had a couple vignettes set up in lobby for photo ops. We will back for rocky horror and more

Yelp
This local theater is the best! Indie films, old blockbusters, and the best popcorn in town. What's not to love? I've been going to The Loft for about 15 years now. I just moved back to Tucson from out of state and as a welcome home gift, my partner and I received a Loft membership. At first I had trouble finding the account and emailed the Loft about it, they got back to me promptly and fixed the issue. I booked tickets online using our member passes last week but the day of, we weren't able to go to the film. I called the Loft and asked if it was possible to refund the passes and they did right away. Fast forward to this week, we finally went to a movie. When we arrived we got our free member popcorn and soda. I also ordered a can beer but the staff then informed us the machine was down for debit cards. I had already put the $2 I had in cash in the tip jar and we didn't have anything else. One of the staff, Anna, offered to cover the beer and refused our requests to Venmo her to cover it. The movie itself was good, the popcorn was delicious and beer was had! Overall, great customer service and can't wait to go back again (next time with cash)!

Yelp
Would've left a negative star if possible, I had absolutely the worst experience with an employee named mystic or myst she was beyond rude and extremely unhelpful. Ruined the entire experience for me.

Yelp
Just saw a film here for the first time this past weekend. The aesthetic is pretty cool. Snacks were below average. I guess the theater on the second floor doesn't have a door that separates it from the main area. The entire film you could hear conversations coming from the main lobby area, almost as loud as if you were in the same room. Actually ruined the film for me because it was so loud that the dialogue became difficult to hear. The staff was pretty nice, but they didn't do anything. I didn't bother asking for a refund (I bet they probably would've refunded me had I asked). Honestly just terrible design for a theater. I have to give 1 star because it ruined the entire film for me.

Yelp
I just can't do The Loft anymore. It sucks because The Loft is Tucson's only real indie theater. If some independent movie you're looking forward to is hitting the theaters, it's going to be at The Loft, and chances are it won't be playing anywhere else. That means I'm going to have to brave the crowds here, and they're the worst. Something about The Loft invites movie-goers here to talk throughout the movie, kick the back of your seat, text, dig endlessly through a plastic bag for the perfect chip... it's the worst. It's never in your best interest to arrive to a movie on time, either, because everyone else shows up late. Did you get a nice seat all by yourself tucked away? Well, when the lights go down, after a lengthy, 20-minute introduction by The Loft's programmer, someone is going to sit RIGHT NEXT TO YOU, during an ongoing pandemic. The rules are to sit at least one seat away from a group in all directions, but this is never enforced. The environment cultivated by The Loft is aggressive and toxic. I've volunteered a number of times, only to be treated like total shit by the employees, and for no reason. I'll ask where I should go to find something-or-other and after an eye-roll, I'll be sent to someone else, who rolls their eyes, then finally refers me to someone who knows what they're doing. I'd rather just watch a movie at home. It's a bummer because I love going to the movies, but it's not worth it for all this.

William O.

Yelp
Supporting independent theaters and art houses is important to me because of the films they regularly show. The Loft needs to stick to that and not show big Hollywood releases. We saw Oppenheimer there and they just don't have the staff, proper amenities or building to handle this kind of crowd. A ridiculously long line in 110 degree weather was what we stood in. The snack bar line wasn't much different, and the staff all worked lethargically despite the long line, also in the direct sun. The guy checking tickets was a jerk, plain and simple. A/C was awful and not adequate for a packed theater. See your favorite art films here and go to a real theater that has the proper staffing and amenities to take care of the audience for major Hollywood releases. Wanted to possibly become a member but I'll have to think about it now.

Yelp
I love the Loft Cinema! I am so grateful that we have an independent movie theater here in Tucson. And I am grateful that the Loft was able to survive the economic consequences of the pandemic. I love that there are a variety of independent films, documentaries, foreign films, oldie but goodie films and different theme focused movie series. In fact, right now The Loft Cinema is showing a series of movies from 1972 since it is the Loft's 50th anniversary. My recent favorite movie was the movie/doc on Bill Murray's New Worlds - Cradle of Civilization tour with the performance at the Acropolis in Greece. Epic! Where else can you see these kind of movies/docs? You'll be able to see movies at the Loft that you are just not going to find at the traditional large, multi-screen movie theaters. Prices are pretty decent for the movies. It can be a little pricier at the concession stand but not any worse than other movie theaters. The organic popcorn is great! Seats are comfortable and staff are pleasant.

Yelp
My praises for The Loft Cinema, are quite lofty! The Loft Cinema hosts so many wonderful events, that are a staple to my schedule every year. I am a huge fan of their Hocus Pocus event at Halloween, the Very Merry Holiday Singalong Spectacular at Christmas, the throwback movies in-between, and the over-the-top redonkulous Mondo Monday's. I mean haven't you always wanted to see a crummy movie and been able to yell out your comments and complaints audibly? Well here you can. Whenever I am at the Loft Cinema, it's never "just a movie". It's an experience, and I feel like I have found my people! It's a bit of what makes this wonderful city my home. The Loft Cinema is a key part of the threshold of Tucson, and I hope you check it out, and/or return often!

Yelp
Love this hometown gem. Always playing a variety of local, and worldwide classics. They have lots of themed nights and events for families. They could probably use a bigger lobby or covered patio but always a good time.

Yelp
I ordered hot wings and French fries. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful and welcoming!

Yelp
Had an absolute blast at the Grease "sing along" last night!! The manager WS a great host and "Danny" and he was amazing. This is an experience everyone should go to. Great time!!

Mark M.

Yelp
In the last month at the Loft Cinema we have enjoyed Asteroid City, Oppenheimer, and the Beatlemania sing-along, at the Loft Cinema. The last was especially memorable - people of all ages were singing and dancing along with the Beatles movie, and some were wearing costumes. Several people shared their Beatles stories. What may seem like the one drawback - a long concession line that can run outside and back in a big loop - turns out to be a great benefit. The line is a great social scene, with always-friendly strangers starting up friendly and cross-generational conversations in a way not often seen elsewhere in Tucson. Even movies shown at the chain theaters are somehow more special when seen at the Loft Cinema.
google avatar

Yelp
Purchased tickets for "spirited away" online and Paid the "service fee" that the host at the loft told us the last time we were there and waited in line, that purchasing tickets online was the way to avoid the long lines . Not true. We were stuck in line after paying the service fee anyway, and when inquiring about at least getting a small bag of popcorn to cover the lame "service fee" the ticket agent told us, "sorry but that's not how they operate. You know, I've been going to the loft since the early 90's. I'm all about supporting independent legacy Tucson businesses but c'mon, show some class and don't give me this snooty hipster attitude on top of it. M

Yelp
This is a theater of a different calling. We decided to attend a showing of Steven Hawking's a brief history of time. It's was introduced by a physics professor from the U of Az. They serve several inferior wines (but with decent size pours) and foods from several places: Fresco pizza, 4th ave deli, Tucson tamale company and Tumerico to name a few. A fun and interesting evening! I'd do this again!
google avatar

Nancy F.

Yelp
Went to see Loving Vincent. Big crowd. It was sold out the last time I tried to see it. It was held in the main theater and it's been updated. Comfy seats and a new sound system. I always love the concession stand with their fresh popcorn and they serve beer. Great indie movies and the employees are always nice. 12-31-17. Here to see Shape of Water. Since the remodel, it's nice to come and watch movies here. Nice leather seats and big screen.

Yelp
The Loft is such a Tucson gem and I'm so grateful we have such a wonderful independent theater in our community! I remember before I moved to Tucson, I had to research to make sure there was an independent cinema, and The Loft does not disappoint. I've seen many movies here during my time in Tucson and appreciate the selection of independent, foreign, and documentary films, In addition to the many special screenings they do of older movies, cult favorites, and local movies. Not to mention their film fest and first Friday shorts! I've seen movies on all 3 screens and enjoyed all of them--each has its own flavor. The main screen is your typical large theater with lots of seats. The screen in the building next door is more intimate with theater style seats. And the theater upstairs has couches so you can really relax if you so choose. Of course, the food is overpriced--it's a movie theater! I don't go the the movies to eat pricey snacks--I'm there for the show! But I like how they offer beer and even a beer of the month for $3.50, not bad. And their snacks are more unique than your mainstream theater. Sign up for their weekly email to stay informed of all of their screenings and excellent events. Love this place and will come back again and again! My husband and I saw "Free Solo" this weekend--pretty crazy movie--and I realized that I hadn't yet reviewed The Loft. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Simply one of the best things in Tucson. I've been a loyal customer since I moved to Tucson several years ago and I will miss it the most when the time comes for me to leave AZ. It's really one of the best attractions this town has to offer. I'm really looking forward to the end of the pandemic and new old festivals, cult classics, The Rocky Horror Picture Show nights, etc.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Took the family to see The Princess Bride for Valentine's Day, and it was an amazing time. People in costume, a fabulous introduction, and a beer in my hand. What else could you ask for?
google avatar

Robin C.

Yelp
I love their unique selection of films and the popcorn is amazing and reasonably priced. Of course all of it needs some updating, but why bother, that is the beauty of it. The thing that bugs me is a 6 oz glass of crappy wine is $9 and the 12 oz (hangover guaranteed) is $19! C'mon, stop ripping off your wine drinking customers. Also, no cup holders on the armrests, really? Plan to arrive early, finding a parking spot can be difficult.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Fun experience, definitely one of the "Tucson" things that I think everyone should try at least once so you can appreciate it. I guess my only issue is the same issue that I have at every theater: The snacks, drinks, etc., seem to be a little over the top in terms of pricing. One bag of gummy worms and a cookie ended up being $7 which, to me, is kind of a lot. I definitely understand that there is a markup (and of course, am perfectly fine with this as it helps keep these gems open!) but at the same time that was a bit of a markup in my opinion. Will definitely be back, but may just make sure to eat before/after so that I don't end up craving a cookie. But for those interested: The lemon poppyseed cookie was vegan, and was actually delicious!
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
One of Tucson's many special places. I do not get here enough, 2018 goals include more movies at the Loft! Such a cozy, local place to catch a flick. No gigantic parking lot to navigate or crowded mall to trudge through to make it to your show. I recommend following them on facebook to help stay in the know on all their free events and special throw back showings. They really do have something for everyone at the Loft. Getting there 15-20 minutes early is recommended as well, there are usually lines to purchase tickets, even if you bought online in advance- you still have to go to the ticket counter. I've seen a film on each of their 3 screens. All of them have their own unique character. The new seats in the main theatre are comfortable and roomie! I LOVE the churro popcorn they sell at concessions. You can use your movie pass here. :)

Yelp
I am a member of this non-profit theater. Jeff Yanc, Loft Cinema Program Director, is the host of very enjoyable events. I especially love the sing a long events. Science on Screen has been another series I have been lucky to attend. What other theater do you go to which regularly has prizes for coming to the indie movies? Just when I fear there is nothing happening, I look over to the Special Events section of their website and suddenly I find some cool things I get excited about. In the months ahead there are plans to expand the loft from the two theater cinema to include more theaters. They serve wine and beer....and during special events they are known to serve special event drinks (Brass monkey for the Beastie Boy sing-a-long fundraiser just a few weeks ago). Please show your support and check out the Loft theater; it truly makes Tucson awesome.

Yelp
It's been over a year since I've come to the movies , The Loft cinemas gives you the option of renting a theater so u can watch it feeling safer , for a moderate price up to 4 people can watch a movie and support a local business. Popcorn and drinks Included. Will try to do it again . Extremely clean place and staff is awesome .
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
A wonderful Tucson institution! Worthy of your support! I think what they offer our community is so unique and special that I decided to become a member... and I seldom watch movies, at home or elsewhere! But once or twice a year I see a film (or film panel) here that just blows my socks off. Sometimes that's due to the cinematography, sometimes due to new ideas. I remember seeing films at the Loft circa 1980, at their original location south of UA. I was in grad school, and that was my first exposure to cinema that wasn't mainstream Hollywood. I hope The Loft is around for at least another 40 years! Tucsonans, please take care of this precious resource!
google avatar

Zachary D.

Yelp
Went to The Loft to see a movie with my friend. The facilities are extremely clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They always do unique showings and have great souvenirs you can pick up. This time around we went to what they call Mondo Monday and saw the movie Evil Toons. Such a funny bad movie. Had such a great time, can't wait to go to the next Mondo Monday.

Yelp
All locals from Tucson must check this place out at least one time in their life! As a transplant to Tucson, I have had the great fortune of watching films at this theater. They cater to all ages, all genres, and all styles. There is something for everyone here! There are some awesome themes and features they host at this theater. Monodo Mondays, First Friday Shorts, and free member screenings, just to new a few. They offer some big name movies, cult classics, as well as foreign films. Each month or so, there are kid Loft films, free for children during a weekend matinee. Now with their remodeled and updated seating in the main theater, it's a place everyone can enjoy! They have 3 screens, so be sure to look at the schedule online or call the box office to see what is playing. Not only do they offer a large variety of movies, but they have a very diverse option of drinks and food sold at their concessions. If you are a Loft member, don't forget to bring your card for ticket discounts and a small bag of their organic popcorn. If you're over the age of 21, you can quench your thirst with beer and wine on tap, or opt for a bottled beer or cider. They offer sodas, waters, juices, and other non-alcoholic beverages. They also sell the classic movie snacks, as well as food and ice cream from some local Tucson restaurants, like Isabella's ice cream and Ethiopian food from Zemams. If you haven't been here before, you definitely must check this place out!

Yelp
Only missed five stars because of the facilities. What's great about The Loft is that they treat movies not merely as entertainment, but as art. I love it. And you get audiences that also appreciate art. It is really a fun gig to see a movie at The Loft. Last night, my wife and I saw a documentary on cats in Istanbul. Are you going to see such a thing at Cinemark or AMC? Nope. Or how about their cult classics? Or Oldies but goodies. Or movies in 75mm? Or their sing-a-longs? (West Side Story was a total hoot. The audience members made it fun.) The Loft REALLY has a good thing going. I wish there was a Loft Cinema in every town in USA. The facilities are not modern. Our movie last night was in Theater #3, which is a non-attached, remodeled garage. But Theater #3, a smaller theater, does have stadium seating. Sign up for their mailer--it really gives you the low down on all of the movies that will play there for the month. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Yelp
2.5 STARS! The Good; I love the unique style of the old school mom and pop theater! The non profit thing does not impress me when you find out the top brass are sometimes paid all the profits! Tax trick? Great snack/ food choices, intelligent quality movies that are now getting so hard to come by! The Bad; Low quality Audio that puts movies to a much less appreciated level example when seeing the Linda Ronstadt film it was just bad when it came to the sound projection! ( tip; invest in your sound system!!) The seats are uncomfortable! The Ugly; Those funky old couches by the not so big screen!
google avatar

Gene T.

Yelp
Nice! Theatre now features new seats. You also have the comfy sofas in the front if you prefer! Sound is good. Staff is friendly! Beverage choices abound! Friend got a cucumber beer! Yes variety. Wines and beers etc. the traditional movie munchies are also available. Yes a photo booth! Other items to purchase also. Connect on social media for updates on shows etc! Connection is good because it is here you can find the movies you will find nowhere else in town! Parking is ample!

Yelp
This is such a wonderful place. It reminds me of a place back home called Studio 35 which is why i love it all the more. The Loft just makes me feel at home. You won't find any mainstreamers here but what you will find are awesome movies that you never see advertised. Examples are Hello My Name is Doris, Weiner-Dog and Captain Fantastic. These movies alone are enough to love The Loft so much that you want to go every week. They just continually play movies that make you laugh, cry, think, cringe and find joy in. So do yourself a favor, go to The Loft. Order a beer, yep they have beer :), get some popcorn or pizza and enjoy one of the fine movies that they show week after week. So much fun! The End.

Yelp
The loft is a fantastic place to see an underrated foreign film. I've been here several times and I always enjoy whatever foreign film we've chosen to see. In addition, I do love that you can get beer, local, beer, local food (burritos from Tumerico, and beautiful chocolates). During Halloween they have marathons of horror films and of course the rocky horror picture show. For a business to stay open for 24 hours to host a movie marathon, it's amazing. I would love it if they did outside movies during the nice weather months. If you get a membership here the price of tickets are cheaper and you get popcorn. They do give a student discount on tickr

Yelp
A great place to watch cult classics, or just movies that don't hit the mainstream theaters. There is a regular midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show as well. They serve beer, popcorn and various snacks ensuring your visit will be enjoyable. They are currently renovating since its the theaters which will fix the only down side of The Loft. Guess I'll have to go back and check it out.

Yelp
This was our first visit to the theater, we have heard a lot of good reviews about the theater. Before we went, we join their nonprofit organization. This organization is set up to help make the visual arts better represented in Tucson. We decided to see Dunkirk on the 70 MM screen just to remember how all the theaters of my youth used to be. The film was spectacular on the big screen. The visual aspect of the film really stood out in this formate. The refreshment stand was really exceptional. They had craft beers and wine plus the soft drinks as their beverages. They had besides popcorn and Nachos many different sandwiches, ice cream and the normal theater candy. What I like as a member we get free unlimited popcorn during the movie. And the refreshments I thought were very well priced. The three of us all got different things plus beverages ( no beers or wines this time) but our total bill was under $21. What movie theater can you get those prices . What do you say to a theater that doesn't rip you off on concessions , THANK YOU. They have other small theaters that play a verity of different types of movies. In addition, they run special old movies for your entertainment ( such as Lawrence of Arabia coming up latter this month). If you like to go to these type of movies , this is the place to go in Tucson.

Yelp
We went to the Loft theater 3 and what a bummer. The handicapped seating truly sucks. I know this is a non-profit operation, but I felt I was back at summer camp sitting on the floor and craning my neck. Obviously a two Advil night. Not going to be a regular patron. Great selections for us aging hypies but I wonder how many others are put off by the plant.

Yelp
i loved this movie theatre! it was so cool to go to such a unique place to see a movie, and awesome that they have so much to offer at the snack counter. we were able to get both wine AND tamales to enjoy during the movie! they also have movies showing that aren't always in other theatres, so we were able to take a friend to see a movie she really wanted to see here for her birthday. so cool!
