The Logon Cafe & Pub

I haven't had eggs Benedict in about 12 years so I was scouring the area. I found this gem of a place. We went during brunch. Everyone's food was phenomenal and I only regret not having more stomach to try more. The bartender was very helpful and an all around cool guy. It was a pleasure finding this place and we will be going here many more times in the future....starting tomorrow....I have a date with a large portion of biscuits and gravy!

Stopped by on a whim on a lucky 🍀 St. Patrick’s day morning! Boy were we in for a treat, they had live music and wonderful vibes inside with the staff as well as the customers; all very friendly and welcoming! If the atmosphere itself wasn’t good enough they had a great selection of drinks and DE-licious food! Highly recommend Everyone pull up!

We sat at the bar top and had a great time! Ed is so welcoming and gave us great suggestions for our road trip. We had the brisket sandwich and beef dip and both were delicious! The cookies were fresh made and super yummy as well! Highly recommend this stop on your way through!

Came across Logon Pub on our roadtrip. We stayed at a motel nearby and almost called it quits for the night since it seemed like not much going on in the area, when we saw the pub was nearby and went in. We were welcomed so kindly by Chantelle and had some great chats with her and Tim who then also gave us some amazing tips where to go on our following trips. There was lovely live music which we really enjoyed and the atmosphere was great. We also got some delicious tacos and treats. We were so happy to have made that stop and met these nice people.

Took the family for brunch on the weekend. Food was good drinks also kids loved to play with all the games while we waited on our food. For a Saturday morning there were no wait and great service

Never had a bad meal here. Ask for the Jamie special. Cold drinks warm atmosphere. Good times to he had here!

Great little cafe! They allow dogs which is great for me and my babies. The food was also super tasty and the bartender was really sweet! I would definitely hit this place up again

We attended the open mic night. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Quick to serve and checked on you regularly. The music was great and the atmosphere was inviting, fun and friendly. Highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Great place to stop in for lunch. Tacos are huge and bartender was awesome! Didn't have much time but I was in and out in around 40 minutes!

I can remember when this place opened in 1997, but, I can't remember if I've ever been here before?! Ugh! I remember a local husband/wife team owned the cafe...but, sadly the wife died in 2012 and the cafe went up for sale. But, the husband decided to keep it and carry on. And 24 years later, it's still standing. Soo, here it is October 11, 2021 Came in from Galveston for a visit and brought a local who hasn't been here in 20 years! For breast ( * ) ( * ) cancer awareness month and per our request, bartenders Melissa and Chantell looked on google and made us shots that were pink...the Pink Breeze and Drunk Barbie!!! These lady alcohol slingers are super customer friendly and accommodating. Both shots were made with a concoction of multiple juices, vodka and Malibu rum. Yum! They had a $10 cover tonight because the "Night and Day orchestra" were performing; they played all the good BIG BAND ...old school music...we really enjoyed it. They had a local singer, Marissa Woodall join in for a couple of songs...she can sing very well. This band is made up of local musicians, that have unrelated day jobs. We sat at the bar...and there were 2 scrumptious looking cakes there. Sooo, we "ATE CAKE!" My friend ordered a slice of the red velvet cake...there was chocolate cake too. It was good, especially the icing but, (to me) a tad dry so I just had 2 bites. My friend enjoyed it though. Since we had eaten sushi before we came we just had that cake. But, the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Melissa told me a man and his GF are the cooks. Oh! And my friend recalls some people got Covid in 2020 from being at a Halloween party here. To confirm, I looked it up online and read KFDM's interview with the owner. He did the right thing and worked with the health dept. to decontaminate w/extra cleaning of the inside. Like most places now, no one (me included) wore masks tonight. I liked the place. Its got a lot of great music memorabilia, old/past beer tabs, etc They've got a great selection of alcohol. It's got 2 pool tables $1 per game, foos ball table and darts. There's a section in the back w/cozy area with couches. I can see where the service could slack because there was no wait staff tonight, just the 2 girl bartenders who ran food out or people would just come pick it up at the bar. (And maybe there was no wait staff because it was a Monday night?!) Anyways, I like the place, it's laid back, got a good vibe, friendly staff with good local music. Buy local. Support local small businesses.

VERY pleasant surprise. Stopped in for lunch not knowing anything about it. Food is super fresh and delicious. Had the pesto chicken sandwich, and next time I'll get the Evil (somethimg), as Angela, the friendly bartender, as well as another guest, both recommended it.

LogOn Cafe still has the freshest and tastiest Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The prices are still good too, and service is friendly. Check it out. Won't disappoint!

Love the Log On! Such a great local venue for live music, game nights, friendly fun staff, great bar food, as much more. Friendly to all. Check out their events and karaoke! Cool local Pub!

You can not beat this bar! I cant say enough about how wonderful it is. The food is 5 star along with the service. The owners rock! It's pet friendly, nostalgic, funky and absolute fun! Brunch on Sundays is usually hosted by the Manager, Ed and he is friendly and loves to tell funny stories and jokes, we adore him. We stop in every chance we get as should you! Great bands play very often and sometimes there are theme nights. If you are looking for an awesome neighborhood bar with no drama and just plain amazing, this is the place! Don't forget to ask Ed about the blueberry mimosas at Sunday bunch, only ones in town and delish!! Chantell and company usually work the bar on Saturday nights and she is a hoot! She brings the party, along with the other great bar backs and bartenders. Do yourself a favor and visit!

If this rating were for taste of food only--then this would be a 5 star. If the rating were for friendliness of customers only--then also 5 stars. But it's not--without the food and customers, this would be a 1 or 2 rating: The Yelp score for Logon is impressive, which is where/how I found the place. I am driving cross country and left Galveston early without my usual coffee shop stop so I could get on the road. (My travel companion had already delayed us a bit and were are on a time crunch. We were both hungry and decided a 'quick stop' for local food would be okay. I was first deterred by the environ. It's a bar, local hangout drinking establishment. I walked in and nearly turned around to walk out. But, there were lots of children present, usually a good/better sign. I stayed...DARN it! I had to get in line at the bar to place my brunch order. It was a long 40 min wait. Then, when It was my turn I asked discerning questions of the proprietor to narrow my selection, such as 'are the hamburger patties hand formed (vs pre made) and is the crab cake made here?' " The proprietor became defensive, asking (almost confrontationally so) why I needed to know. These are questions I'd ask at any food establishment from a street vendor to Ruth Chris'. (1My gosh, what the heck. If you don't want northerners eating at your place then post a sign.) Getting answers about the menu was like getting a blood draw--painful and frightening: The coffee is a NO go. It's in a thermos and served lukewarm. The dairy (not cream) is kept below the bar and in a alcohol dispenser. My companion said it was a NO go. My companion prefers stevia but they had only blue and yellow, not even any sugar. I asked but didn't get water. You get your own cutlery from the bar counter. They were out of forks (we ate with spoons.) It took another hour to be served. I'm certain we will (now) miss our appointment. Granted, I must have been preceded by a group of 4-5 adults and about 6 children. This most likely caused the horrid delay. And, is there anything they could have done differently? No. Nope. Yet still I say--BEWARE! My companion said that 20 min into my standing and waiting in line to place my order, he was ready leave. We should have. Go IF, you want to spend your day. Want to WAIT, and maybe drink all morning/noon while waiting. And then eventually be rewarded with good food. DONT go, IF, you are traveling and don't have spare hours (and hours) to throw away. I would not return.

Did I really never review this place? What a tragedy! The LogOn Cafe welcomed us in for a great meal and a place to rest for a bit doing a cross-country road trip. We stopped in early afternoon in Feb 2020, nearly a good solid month before the world ended, and because we were traveling with a pup, we asked about places to sit outside and kick back with the little guy (it was his birthday, after all, and he was now 1 whole year old). We were quickly seated, the two ladies behind the bar were incredibly friendly, offering us a selection of food, drinks, and coming over to say hi to the pup. I settled on a brisket sandwich, my partner went for a burger, and the pup got a nice big bowl of water and some treats. The food was great, though when you've been on the road a few days your standards definitely diminish. That being said, this is a place I'd seek out if I were in the area. Super friendly, great food, just incredibly good vibes all around. While we were eating, the owner of the LogOn came out, with a horse of a dog, a still very young, but very gigantic great dane, and was also incredibly friendly. The food was good, the company was very good, and this little bar in Beaumont, TX became a spot we swore we'd come back to someday in the future. We actually were planning another X-country trip for Feb 2021, which of course didn't happen, but as soon as things get a little more travel friendly, and places start welcoming us back in and back inside, I can't wait to wander through Beaumont again and say hi. Just happy this place is still around and kicking. Hope it does for many years to come.

Just tried this place out today for Sunday brunch! It was a great time! We tried the eggs Benedict, and the big booty biscuits! Food was delicious and fresh. Gravy was to die for! We drank long islands, and bloody Mary's/Maria's. Best Bloody Mary I have had in so long, with an array of yummy pickled veggies Atmosphere was great, Ed was good company and a joy to be around. The gentleman in the back and the lady cooking were sweet. Great energy and a good time. We will definitely be returning.

Wanted a draft craft beer, taste a few , not to my tasting..yeah I'm a beer snob. Ordered chicken tacos- freshly made. Decent food

So on the day I showed up at the log on cafe a political rally was going on and I got free gumbo from a republican. I don't expect to get anything free from a republican ever again. I did notice also that these republicans had blue signs and blue shirts. I'm under the impression that blue is the universally accept color of the democrat. They also had free cake. Between the free republican gumbo and cake which I loving refer to as hate cake I was left baffled. I'm not going to count the confusing nature of the republican political party at the logon cafe against them and I don't think its indicative of the crowd here. I had been here before about 10 years earlier and it was just a coffee house. Since then it has transformed and acquired an awesome beer list and a tasty menu! The beer selection is pretty much unmatched in South East Texas. I was disappointed that they did not have any pumpkin beers! I also was surprised to find that with my yelp check in I got a free beer I selected a free pint of dog fish head 90 minute which was as delicious as it possibly could have been. Two of my friends ordered sandwiches from the cafe, one of my friends got his sandwich promptly.. the other did not. The bartender let my friend who didn't get his sandwich promptly know that the kitchen had made the wrong sandwich and would need to remake his. By the time he actually got the sandwich my other friend had finished his and was enjoying a nice piece of free republican hate cake. I cant fault them for the bad republican band either.. I know sometimes even republicans like to go out and have a good time. Although this band had a monitor that displayed the lyrics to the bad cover songs they were playing. It was more like karaoke honestly. I did cringe a bit when they played a Neil Young cover. Despite all of the weirdness I had a great time and really like the log on cafe! Its definitely improved since my last visit 10 years ago.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The outside of this pub might be plain Jane but the inside is quite nostalgic, funky and eclectic. They have as well a funky patio enclosed with sweet smelling honeysuckle and shade for us and our puppy. We found this pub on Yelp because we needed dogs allowed. We were really happy to find almost a 5 star Yelp rating. The food and service really lived up to its high rating. I had the granger which was juicy and delicious and my friend had the Philly steak n cheese. Loved that they served us fruit instead of chips. Our server Elizabeth was so helpful, prompt and on top of our needs. She even brought our puppy a large bowl of cold water. The prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come here again if we are in the area.

This is your classic dive bar with live music. Good bar and pool tables. It can get loud if bands are playing.

We picked this place based on a Yelp review and it may be our find for the year! We stopped when passing through; after lunch and before dinner. It was pretty quiet and allowed us some time to visit with the owner and get some history on the place. Let me say first off, our food was fantastic. DH had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and I had the patty melt. After many years in the food service industry, I can say the patty melt was the best I've ever had! DH loved his Philly. Food was hot, quickly prepared with large, juicy portions! Ed was extremely kind, sociable and easily answered my unending questions! The decor was eccentric, enjoyable and noteworthy. We are already discussing a return trip to try more of the food and draft beers and a chance to enjoy the live music!

We found a great restaurant The Log On Cafe. A cool music venue place wish it was in Houston ! Damn good food ( chicken avocado quesadillas) Ed and Jamie great hosts! Doggie Abigail 11 month old, WOW! Maxx made a new pal.

My family of five ate the Sunday brunch at The Logon cafe. Why wife and I had the crab cake Benedict with bacon. It was delicious. My daughter had the Loraine omelet, she loved. The huge portion of fresh baked biscuits and gravy with a egg and bacon was a big hit with my grandson, my granddaughter got the French toast . Prices were very reasonable 7.95-9.95. It is a very friendly place. The place is not fancy! We chose to eat at bar, where the conversation with the other was entertaining. I would have given 5 stars if the place were a little fancier!!!

I am very glad I found this place. Amazing food made in the smoker in house. The beer selection is legit. They have live music in the evenings. I hope I am here long enough to watch some. I will come back for sure. My new go to place while in Beaumont!!

Hands down the best staff, drinks and food in town. Taco Tuesday is a must!

I went in here randomly the other night when I was in town visiting with some friends. To my surprise there was a political campaign event going on, which meant free gumbo and cake for me! I was not sure what to expect before going here as this was a last minute decision and there was no time for research. I walked in and saw how cozy feeling the place was. There was a band playing in support of the political campaign party. My friends and I sat towards the back by the bar and had a great time despite everything else that was going on. When I checked in on yelp there was an offer for a free craft pint ... uhhh AWESOME and yes please! I actually was not in the mood for alcohol so I used it on some St. Arnold's root beer that they had on tap. It was delicious. I was surprised by the decent selection of beer they had as well. The staff here was super friendly. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. There was a wall I thought was pretty cool that had all kinds of musical instruments hung on it. I would definitely like to stop on here on a night where there was not a political campaign going on to see what the vibe is really like ... so until next time Logon!

Karaoke nights are a blast! I'm thankful they have them on the weekends sometimes for those of us who have to wake up early during the weekdays for work. I also attended the community wide clothing swap where I got to donate a bunch of clothes I no longer wore, and had a lovely time. Fun, courteous service at The Log On. I need to go more often.

NO BETTER OPEN MIC NIGHT IN TOWN! Attended the weekly Wednesday Open Mic night to support my friend and had a great time! Whether you've been taking the stage for years or it's your first time (like my friend) everyone from staff to audience to fellow musicians are nothing but supportive and encouraging. Walked in on a Friday morning right at opening. I had had a bad week. I was treated like family and actually had a drink concocted just for me. Not only was the customer service out of this world, but the Yuppie open-faced breakfast sandwich I had was as well. I can already tell that I will be a new "regular" at Logon!

I took my friend here on a Sunday morning for brunch. The LogOn is a nice cozy atmosphere without any pretense and you can tell by the decorations, the owner is a big music fan. I had the brisket tacos and my friend had crab florentine. We both devoured our meal. The manager, Ed, was very personable and demonstrated great southern hospitality. I was in from out of town but whenever I'm in Beaumont, I'll hit this place up again.

Told by a local to check this place out on a random night we had in Beaumont. They had an Irish band that was amazing- kilts, bagpipes and all!! The food looked great but we only had some cheap cold beer that hit the spot!

I love their tea and patty melts and French dip sandwiches. I live in Maryland do I only come once a year. Very good food

Hours posted say 10am-12midnight. Sign says open, door is actually open... We walk in and are told they're closed until 6pm...no post on their website which we checked BEFORE leaving our hotel. HUGE thumbs down!

Quaint little place with a very welcoming and artsy atmosphere. Brunch was amazing. I also hear it has wonderful live music on the weekends. I hope to catch a show some day!!

I love the live music and the atmosphere. Various artists get together and jam. The music was phenomenal! Clearly the artists have played together but I love the open mic style. They had a great selection of premium liquors on hand. Overall a fabulous place to have fun with friends and enjoying live music.

What can I say? The Logon is my home away from home. Owner Ed and his daughter Chantell have made some amazing renovations in the past year, making this my no-brainer outing where I can show up in jeans or a dress. My favorite night at the Logon is karaoke night, followed closely by their Saturday brunch. Don't leave your growler at home! The Logon offers growler service and they have great beer on draft to fill it up. They rotate taps frequently, and add new bottles all the time, so you'll never get bored with their options. Live music nights can get a little loud, so if you're in the mood for a conversation, chill out on their front or back patio.

My family stopped by after seeing the Yelp reviews on a break from driving on I-10. Upon realizing it was a pub, we had second thoughts about bringing the kids in for a lunch meal, but the bartender, Tack, made us feel welcome and provided awesome service. My guess is that this place is a great pub also, but we were super impressed with the food and especially the service from Tack. Folks like that are what make you want to give a business your support. Thanks Tack! Also, as a computer geek, I spent quite a while at the resin filled bar with the old computer parts. Very geeky and cool! They even had a Comdex badge in there! That's geek cred. :)

Summer 2015 the log on cafe is partnering with Chef Monica Cobb to bring her Banh Mon and salads (Vietnamese inspired sandwich) to the public each Thursday and Friday for a long lunch ( or until they run out ) don't miss a chance to drink a draft or craft beer with this incredible opportunity right off I-10!

Our favorite local pub. "Great food and mediocre service" is their hilarious, if somewhat accurate, tongue-in-cheek motto. Great live music on weekends/nights and also great for brunch/leisurely lunches. Fresh, non fried eats.

The breakfast nachos are awesome! Ed is both hilarious and courteous. He has quite the selection of craft beers. I would highly recommend to stop in for a beer or 2.

What a great neighborhood hangout! What amazing food! What amazing atmosphere! And amazingly real people! All compliments of Ed & Jamie Lynn! The patrons and employees all treat you like a long lost friend. I love the diversity of this place, you have every niche of every walk of life here, all with one common goal to... laissez le bon temps rouler! Makes me wish I lived here in Beaumont rather than just working here on temporary assignment. But rest assured, I plan to be here as often as I can while I'm here. My advice to you is... Taco Tuesday's & open mic Wednesday's, you will not be disappointed!

Great food!! Stopped in for lunch on a Monday afternoon with my mom. They are happy to modify anything on the menu to what you're looking for! I opted for the Evil Steven right off the menu. A turkey lettuce tomato bacon and some special sauce on a fresh croissant.... My taste buds were very pleased :) i'll be back! They also serve breakfast all day so my mom went for The Elliott... Some kind of delicious looking breakfast croissant. She was very happy with it and has been there before. She raves about the guy behind the bar. Very friendly and always wanting to please. Overall great service and really great tasting food!

If there were such a thing as Hipsters in Beaumont, this is where they'd hang out. Hypothetically speaking. Oh Logon Cafe? You've probably never heard of it before. Decent beer. Mediocre food. Dive.

One of the most chilled pub and delicious eatery, I can bring my dog out and enjoy the beautiful back deck, enjoy good friends and make new ones! Ya never know who you run into up here, I give it two thumbs up!!!! Come check it out.

Very cool place woth very nice folks. Walked in here after a long work day and felt right at home. Laura was a great bartender and made great food suggestions. Friendly people and a nice relaxed vibe. Will definitley be back when I'm in town. Had a great visit with Ed. Make sure to try the gumbo!

The logon is a great out of the way joint. The music is so eclectic from rock to bagpipes to new age to folk. As an all over music lover, I'm always excited to go and see what's going on there! Great people and a good selection of beer and food. I've always liked every thing I've ordered there. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait for drinks on weekends at night.
