The 15 Best Restaurants In Nassau, Bahamas 2024

"The London is one of the newer cocktail bars on the Nassau scene, and it’s already becoming a nightlife staple. It’s on Charlotte Street downtown, with a hard-to-miss red London phone booth outside. You can either settle in for the night and try some rum duck lettuce wraps with a thyme and whiskey-infused lemonade they call their Day Thyme cocktail. Or, use it as a pre-party spot for a quick drink before you explore the rest of downtown." - ashleigh sean rolle

An amazing meal in an unassuming location downtown Nassau. We had calamari, mussels and the quinoa salad - all was superb. Great flavours, and lovely presentation. There is a wide selection of drinks, including a number of mocktails. While not specifically GF I was able to find lots of options (I’m gluten intolerant, not coeliac, though) Rodney looked after us extremely well! Do yourself a favour and stop in at the London Bahamas.

Had a great dining experience with a friend at The London Tapas & Cocktail Bar in Nassau! The atmosphere was fantastic—we opted to sit upstairs, which added to the great vibe of the evening. Our server was fun, engaging, and very attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Started off with a Cloudy Citrus Mocktail, a refreshing mix of orange juice, pineapple juice, lemon, and syrup—light, fruity, and just the right balance of sweet and tangy. For appetizers, we had Native Conch Fritters with calypso rum dip and Spiced Chicken Wings with guava hot sauce. The fritters were crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, while the wings packed a nice heat with a hint of sweetness. For the main course, I went with the Jerked Rack of Lamb with mint pimento jerk sauce, paired with hand-cut fries as recommended by our server. It did not disappoint—the lamb was tender, well-seasoned, and had the perfect amount of spice. My friend tried the Blackened Salmon, which had a beautiful sear and deep, smoky flavors. Overall, a good dining experience with delicious food, great service, and a lively ambiance. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!

Reviews We visited Nassau for five days at the end of March. We were staying at a nearby hotel and asked our bartender where he likes to go for a drink. The London was recommended. We visited three nights, it would have been more but they were closed on Monday and our flight left before they opened on Tuesday. We were blown away by the service, the cocktails, and the food, each night. Brian, Wendy, and crew do not disappoint with their skills behind the bar. Some of our favorites were the London Julep & Lychee. Everyone is so friendly. We will definitely be back 💯

Looking in Nassau for a place to eat found the “London”, a mixed experience, Bryan, our bartender super friendly and attentive, we ordered the Conch but we got the sandwich, idk why, maybe the order was misunderstood, but it was ok, not great, $22, the classic Caesar, unfortunately it was over salted, more than the sea!! Stale croutons, fresh and crisp lettuce, but inedible, $14, berries mojito $10 and the classic Kalik beer $8, it’s up to you to leave a tip because all places in Nassau changes a gratuity fee. In a nutshell, service is great but food I guess is not their thing. Will come back for drinks.

We went to The London Bahamas on a Sunday evening and had a blast!! The place is the best. The burgers are huge and delicious. And the fries are cooked perfectly. Best deal in Nassau. A must try. Everyone there is super nice and fun. Wendy made us amazing drinks and shots. She also played great music. Had some of us dancing at the bar. 😀 Wendy, the owner and all the folks that work there made for such a welcoming and fun night. Will definitely go back next time we are in Nassau!

The London is a nice little cozy spot in the middle of downtown of Bay Street. Upon arrival I didn’t know what to expect, but when we walked inside it was cool and cozy. There wasn’t a greeter at the door, but there servers who opened the door for us did just fine! We came really so we were able to pick choose and refuse our seats. As we are Mixologists, we found that there is No better spot than a seat at the bar!” Jeremy the bartender also served us our food, and kept the drinks coming. If you sit at the bar with him be ready to drink. Wendy is the A-1 bartender for me an all around pleasant bartender with her beautiful smile… love those red lip lady! Serving up those get straight to the point shots, no beating around the bush, no lapping up. Wendy knows about the modern day moonshine, if you’re lite on your ABV… let her know. Overall a must try, sit at the bar if you can!

I am so happy we decided to leave our ship when it docked in Nassau! We went ashore to get lunch and decided on The London…what a fantastic place! This restaurant ended up having the best food we’ve gotten in the Bahamas thus far. They have high-quality seafood, a lot of unique Caribbean dishes, and a great atmosphere inside. Prices are pretty high, but everywhere in the Bahamas is expensive, so just prepare for that regardless where you go. They have excellent mocktails here (we got the Cloudy Citrus and Ginger Mule, and I would imagine alcoholic drinks would be great here as well), and you NEED to try their jerked shrimp kebabs and cracked conch burger. Those were our two favorite dishes - the shrimp one was some of the best shrimp we’ve ever had! When you visit The London, be sure to try some Bahamian specialties, and don’t be afraid to ask the waiters/waitresses what they recommend. They’ll steer you in the right direction. All in all, a fantastic place, in a good enough area (we felt safe walking here by ourselves at lunchtime) and absolutely one you need to check out next time you’re in Nassau!
