‘Cake Wars’ Contestant Brings Boozy Custom Cakes and British Pastries to Lewisville | Eater Dallas

"London-born baker Elizabeth Rowe — known around Fort Worth for elaborate feats of cake engineering and for appearing on Cake Wars in 2016 — is opening a Lewisville outpost in the Castle Hills Village Shops. The shop will be a destination for custom, showpiece cakes in classic flavors like red velvet, lemon, and strawberry as well as boozy options such as a chocolate cake made with stout beer and a salted caramel buttercream. Alongside elaborate custom cakes, the bakery will offer English treats including crumpets, scones, and traditional English tea, plus American favorites like brownies and deep-dish cookies. The new location joins neighbors such as a craft brewery, a gourmet cheese shop, and a sushi/hibachi restaurant, and is scheduled to open on Saturday, March 17." - Alaena Hostetter

Liz created our gorgeous wedding cakes and we both have ZERO regrets. We’re lucky to live nearby and constantly pop in for her amazing pastries and desserts. She’s not only incredibly talented, but so kind. My daughters love her themed high teas and grabbing a goodie on the weekends. If you’ve not experienced The London Baker, you must go!!

I brought some friends here for the start of a girls weekend, and was not prepared for how adorable this place is!! I’m so glad we came here for food is absolutely delicious and the place is decorated incredibly! I’m currently sitting on their cozy couch & already can’t wait to come back! CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! 25/10!

I finally stopped in this little gem for coffee and cupcakes to go. The caramel latte was really good, this would be a fantastic place to grab a pastry and coffee in the mornings...not just a place to get the most amazing cakes you have ever seen.

Food poisoning...went there for a small bite to eat and coffee. Ended up very sick and unable to take my son to prom. Had the spinach and feta pastry. Tasted that it was off. She asked if I wanted it warmed up, I said yes. It was served like warm and not very heated. First bite tasted off, and I very much regret for taking a few more bites before stopping. I've been sick since then.

Came to the Harry Potter themed High tea and the food and attention to detail was impeccable. I can’t wait for the next event we had so much fun

I didn't spot any chai in the reviews, but I thought I'd try it anyway. They make it in-house and it was delish! I would have preferred 2% instead of whole, but at least it's dairy. I also had a scone which seemed to taste better as I ate more of it. Service was great. It was more affordable than I expected, being in a neighborhood of castles, so that was a nice surprise.
