The Long Acre Tavern

I stopped by The Long Acre Tavern to watch the games and have a beer before my Broadway show. It’s a great bar for the games and they even play the TV audio, which is hard to find in the city. The food was delicious! I ordered the lamb burger and it was so tasty. Then also ordered the chicken sandwich, good portion. Cook spot to watch the games

Nice little find. Only stopped in for a drink but ended up having some wings and th biggest Pretzel I have ever seen. Both were excellent, staff were great. Worth a visit

Bartenders have no service experience, no positive energy, and no knowledge of the place they currently work at. I had asked for a Happy Hour beer but was served a regularly priced one. When I was asking why HH beer costs me $9 in the bill, bartender told me it is a Happy Hour drink. And no empathy. Clear finding how much experience he has. Just checking on their website: “Draught Beer” for $6. And Blue Point isn’t mentioned there. But the guy was pointing to the small bar menu anyway. Out of respect, they got my 20% tips. Typical zero-charming pre-Broadway/touristic place which I would not recommend you.

The Long Acre is a great combo of old timey tavern and modern sports bar. The staff is efficient and friendly and the atmosphere gave off a good vibe. Great bar food, nice tap list and a great environment make this an easy repeat visit choice.

We truly enjoyed our time in NYC but it was with much thanks to Bailey and the team at The Long Acre!! We got trapped by the Blizzard two extra days but Bailey made us feel right at home!! Also, the hummus = chefs kiss!!! I almost didn’t try it because it has a balsamic graze drizzle - but I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed!! We had it for an appetizer THREE days in a row!

Highly recommended. Stopped here for dinner and drinks before a show. It was loud…but that’s not unexpected and isn’t the place you expect to be a quiet night. The blue cheese burger was outstanding, one of the better meals I had while in the city. Bar staff was friendly and fast.

Good for late night eats around the city. Don’t know how we stumbled across this hole in the wall, but I think it said there was a discount if you had show tickets that evening so we went inside. Penne ala vodka was yummy and my friend enjoyed their burger

Tried the Long Acre because it was near our hotel but returned multiple times over the course of our trip to NYC because we liked it so much. Our bartender Hanna was awesome and a big reason why we kept coming back!

This place was close to where we were staying so we decided to stop in. We were greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. We were served some ice cold water while we looked over the menu. One our first visit We ordered the loaded tots, mushroom ravioli, potato skins, fries, Mac and cheese plus drinks on draft. Second visit we did burgers, fries, loaded tots again, and nachos. The food was hot when it arrived to our table. It not only looks good but tasted awesome! You could definitely taste a lot of the fresh ingredients. We cleared out our plates that's how much we enjoyed it. The place itself is nice. It's dark so when we came out the sun light blinded us lol. Staff were great and vibes were on point. This is one place I would recommend to stop in at. Drinks are crisp and cold. Food is hot and extremely tasty. Do your taste buds a favor and stop in. I was not disappointed.

Long Acre Tavern really threw me for a pleasantly surprising loop. The tavern is lively and packed with a happy loudness. However, we were taken upstairs, which was a lot more quiet. If you're into sports, this is a good place to watch the game(s), because there are wall mounted televisions every few feet. The service was attentive, served our food at a comfortable pace, and every staff member was cordial. One of the reasons that I wanted to dine here was for the Sesame Cauliflower. This appetizer was crispy fried, with sesame sauce, ginger lemon yogurt, cayenne dust, and scallions. I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy mixture of the ingredients and I was right with my craving....it's a great starter and highly recommended. The other appetizer was the Hummus (house-made hummus, extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze, Tajin chili dust, and pita bread). The hummus was a generous serving and was sufficient to accompany every pita bread slice. Another recommended starter. My entree was the Mushroom Ravioli. The serving was six ravioli, basil, with marinara sauce. Each forkful was so delicious and the sweet sauce made this an amazing selection. Here's another reason to choose Long Acre Tavern. If you have theater tickets, they will provide a 10% discount. It's a nice incentive and more restaurants should provide this discount. Great Bar down the street from our Hotel. Very unasuming and a nice casual vibe. There was also an upstairs area for seating. The service was good and wouldn't hesitate to revisit if ever in the area.

Sports bar in heart of Times Square. Standard pub fare. Adequately prepared but nothing special and slow service.

A good place to grab dinner and drinks before a Broadway show. Food was tasty. The buffalo wings were fairly meaty and their hummus was very good. I had the 47 burger and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Both very good and my burger was cooked to perfection. The one small complaint I had was the service was a little slow and they seemed understaffed. Otherwise a solid pick.

We came here twice because it was across the street from where we were staying. We are watching the Knicks game upstairs. The service that day, despite it being packed was amazing. The food was solid. We came again another day, downstairs, and the service sucked. We were being served by a man in a Dodgers jacket who got my friend's order wrong. He was more preoccupied with flirting with the girls next to us, which truly more power to him/and them, but treat the people who are your customers with respect. He messed up friend's order and never came back.

Went here for dinner with the family. The wings were done crispy but, juicy and meaty, done plain with sauces on side. The steaks and cheeseburger were cooked to individual tastes. We sat upstairs which is recommended if you have children.

I was looking for a sports bar to watch the Knicks game as I went to RiseNy first in times Square. They have various tvs there showing all kinds of sporting events happening. We sat right in front of a television where it felt very intimate and personal. There are two floors and we were asked to go to the second floor towards the back. It was very spacious. Food wise, I ordered the hummus and pita as an appetizer. It wasn't anything special. The grilled chicken on the Greek salad was good. Presentation wise, it was nice too. The service was great. Even though the waitress was at the front a lot, she didn't forget the back as well.

We traveled from Philly to NYC a few days before Christmas and were lured into this spot by their "all-day happy hour" sign. Who doesn't love a good happy hour on a Monday? Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. The service was slow, and it took forever for anyone to acknowledge us. When they finally did, they brought six water glasses that had clearly just been rinsed, with water still dripping from them, all stacked together on the table. We had to unstick them and distribute them ourselves. When the food arrived, we asked for condiments, but after 20 minutes, still nothing. My food was cold, and the kids' meals were cold too. The server never checked back, or else she would have realized we hadn't touched our food because we were still waiting for the condiments. I ordered a tequila and pineapple drink, but when it arrived, it was mostly pineapple juice. I ordered a second one, and it came in a much smaller glass. By then, I had lost my appetite. The ironic part is we were headed to Rockefeller Center, with plenty of other restaurants I'm familiar with. Lesson learned.

This was the first place I came to during my New York trip and I loved it! It was a nice sized sports bar where we watched some of March Madness and got a great bite to eat. I got the Spicy Nashville Chicken and it was GREAT. My friends got the Salmon and the irish spice bag and said it was great!

Food was ok. Service horrible. Waiter asked if we were ready to order immediately after being seated...had not wven opened the menu. So he said he would come back. 10 minutes later we order drinks and food. 20 minutes later we receive our food but not our drinks. The waiter's response was 'well they should be coming'. Half way through the meal we get our drinks, he asks if we wanted water...this is a basic idea...and then we never see the waiter again. After finishing our meal, we wanted to pay. We had to walk downstairs and find a manager...then the manager asks us which table number we were seated at...we don't know the numbers.

Came in on a wed night to watch the US Open, got redirected upstairs for more bar space Food 4.5/5: got their nachos and the tavern amber beer. Beer was pretty good, nachos were kind of small but tasted fantastic. Overall a good experience Ambiance 4/5: chill bar vibes, nothing fancy but clean with plenty of tvs to watch sports Service 4/5: a bit slow but polite and friendly Value 3/5: wouldn't call it great value but fair price for what you get in NYC Overall 4.2/5: decent beer and food for an ok price and good vibes. Nice place to watch sports would come again

Is this Gatsbys? Dustin the bartender was amazing- friendly and actually helped me get the drink I really wanted which was Tito's/cran and some seltzer by offering it after me asking for a Tito's and cranberry to keep it simple. Decided to have another drink because of his hospitality so definitely good for business. NICE goes very far with me- THANKS- Btw I came here because I ended up at the hotel next door after going to the airport- finding out my flight is being cancelled for 2 (two!!) days so I seriously needed this virtual hug coming from across the bar!!

I was nearby and needed a place to sit before my reservation. This bar is very loud event the time I stepped in wasn't busy. Service was good, very casual and super chilling. I got couple drinks before I left. Anyway, if you want the place for killing time, I think this bar is a good choice for Time square.

The space is long but large, and there are plenty of TV for sports events! However, the food was just average and the beer draft list was not that great. The service was mixed: the waitress was very nice but the busboys were aggressive in clearing the table and dropping the food on the table. Overall, you could do worse but you could do better in midtown. If you are watching a sports event, it's probably the main reason I would go back.

So accommodating and super friendly staff. Really good atmosphere to hang out and watch a game right in heart of Times Square Times Square prices. But that just is what it is

These blokes are con artists. No confusion. Just con artists. I went there with some colleagues and ordered one Weller bourbon. Just one. Bartender gave us two and said he was waiting on another bottle, which perplexed us. I think he was stoned or something because he was making it out as though we ordered three. So he charged us, wait for it, $70 for the one Weller 12 bourbon we actually did order. $70! Then he heard me complain because $70 per glass is unacceptable for Weller 12. I pointed out they had Blantons right next to Weller 12 and I said that might be something you could charge $59-$70 for, as everyone knows Blanton's is superior to Weller. So he offered me a glass of Blantons because the Weller was $70. Naturally, I accepted. Didn't think he meant you have to freaking buy another!!!! At the end we left and he chased us out of the bar. Another $100 due!!! He again charged $70 for the Welller I didn't order, AND HE CHARGED $26 for the Blantons. I kid you not. $26 for Blantons, a better, more expensive bourbon and $70 for Weller 12. Total sh*t show! This place sucks arse. Treat your wallet and self-respect better. Go anywhere else.

Arron and Ryan will make you feel like family. Great selection of beer and the lamb burger will change your life. GET THE BEER CHEESE.

Came here before a show the other night and had a very odd and rather unpleasant dinner here. We had a server come take our order - I got a burger & fries with no pickles & my friend got the shepherds pie which she asked the server about and whether it was all potato or if there was a good amount of meat in the dish. He recommended it and said there was a lot so that's what she ordered. When the food came, there were pickles on my burger which was a bummer since they permeate into whatever they're on top of. My friend's dish was not quite what she expected. It was VERY heavy on the mashed potatoes and the meat underneath was more like chili than actual ground meat. She also said the peas were not cooked and it just tasted wrong. It took a while but a new server came over to see how things were. My friend said 'Not good' The server said 'good? Great!' And went to walk away when I let her know my friend said things were not good. My friend explained the issue and said she no longer wanted it. The server took it away. We had to flag her down 10 minutes later so my friend could order something else to eat. And she seemed very non plused to be talking to us at all. My friend ordered the hummus & pita and then we said we wanted to order the passion fruit sorbet after our meal. My friend enjoyed the hummus. My burger & fries were fine. We had to flag our server down again to ask about the sorbet well after we finished our food. She said she hadn't put it in yet so we asked her to and she just stared at us. It was odd. We asked if we could ordered it and she asked what we wanted. We again said the sorbet. Apparently they didn't have the flavor on the menu we found out so we got the mango sorbet which was not on the menu. It was way too mango forward. We had to flag down the hostess to get our server to bring us the bill-- which already had a 20% tip added ----for a party of 2????? My friend asked why and our server said something about because we had a server that took our order and then she took over....it didn't make much sense. We didn't argue. Just paid. Did not add anything to the tip. My friend talked to a manager and the manager seemed surprised that a tip had been added. We think she thought we'd leave a small tip because she was not really paying us any attention at all and wasn't friendly to us in the slightest, while we watched her talk to her other tables for long periods of time. All in all, cannot recommend, and will never be back. Not second chance worthy in the slightest. Raising Canes or McDonald's would have been a better experience and make comparable food.

So good! The food was unreal and seemingly decent priced for what you got, as well. We sat upstairs and had to wait a little while but all the TVs and warm air helped! Would absolutely go back!

Arrived here for a bite to eat after a Broadway show with the girlfriend and it was pretty packed around the bar since it was about 9pm. Managed to get a high top in the back which was quieter than by the bar and started ordering off their online menu system. You order and pay off the app which was convenient. We had the cauliflower app and the Nashville chicken sandwich. Both weee decent bar food items. The cauliflower was little spicy with no dipping sauce. Still good though and the chicken on the sandwich was crispy & a bit spicy. Wasn't too bad though with the fries. Fries I would give a 7.3

What a fantastic bar, best pint of Guiness in town and above that it has the best bartender in town, John. If you get there before 5pm you will have the pleasure of his company, he's a phenomenal bloke, full of patter and a darn good bartender. Having read other reviews I don't quite get what they complain about, my hotel was across the road and I visited 4 different days, each was fantastic and John was the perfect host. I only ate there once but the food was bloody good, pasta with Italian sausage. Well done John and if anyone is looking for a great bar with a great host (John) and a great pint of Guiness you won't go wrong with the Long Acre Tavern

Stopped in for a night cap after a long day of work (business trip). I was happy to have a pint of Guiness and my friend a glass of red wine. But, OMG, they have at least 12 speakers in the small space and they are BLASTING. Having a conversation is impossible. Nice ambiance but the loudness was unbearable. We did not go back the next night and opted for another bar.

Good food and a cool atmosphere. Visited while I was in town for business and it's a nice place to grab a drink before going into town.

Drinks were good and there was a large selection, especially whiskeys from different countries. Music was a vibe and the place was poppin. Two stars because the service sucked. Our waiter was too busy talking and laughing with his coworkers to wait on us.

I came from way out of state to enjoy this spot on a HUGE fight night. It was TRASH!!!! We got sent upstairs to another part with a complete crap menu. NOTHING like the web site. We had to be drowned out by karaoke and couldn't hear the fights. Pretzels are good. Service sub par. Cleanliness D- just a huge disappointment. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

We went NYC to watch Spanish El Clásico with the family and also to have a lunch. We were recommended this place( so glad we listened) The Long Acre Tavern is a must in NYC. Food was simple and delicious atmosphere was upscale and friendly, service was accommodating to our requests.

We came for a game. The bar has a great number of tvs which is nice but most of the sitting is uncomfortable for a long stay to watch an entire thing. Also, service upstairs is lacking while they are busy. We asked for water 3 different times without receiving it. I eventually had to go directly to the bar to get water. The food was satisfactory but I likely would not go back.

Visited Long Acre again during the holidays. Was hoping to have a better experience but was disappointed. Despite there being several severs that week night, the service was bad and slow. Anytime we had a need, we had to really flag down staff to get help. We were seated at a barrel table right in front of the bar too and people were passing by often, but they just didn't pay attention to us or check in. It took forever to get drink orders and pay our bill. We did order food which was pretty decent but they forgot to include the chicken requested on the nachos. Not sure what is up with this place - it has potential but they really need to train their staff.

Was in the neighborhood looking for dessert and a very needed bathroom but the place I was looking for was gone. Tried the next closest place which was The Long Tavern, or Duffy's. They didn't have what I was in the mood for (something chocolatey) on the dessert menu so I asked what the special was. It was Chocolate Decadence. I'm in! I sat down at the bar so I could see the football game as I waited. They didn't have the whiskey I wanted (Corsair's Triple Smoke), but the bartender checked the downstairs (main) bar for a suitable replacement. Since they had none, I opted for Angel's Envy to go with the chocolate cake. The cake looked good- it was plated nicely. The taste was.... okay. The icing was good, but the actual cake portion was "meh". The staff are pleasant. Wouldn't mind coming back for drinks.

Not too busy and nice cozy pub to get late snack snack for us. Enjoyed a Guinness and the pretzel with beer! Nice staff and close to time square but not touristy feeling!

Amazing people, food, and atmosphere! I've been here a few times while visiting my friend and we always have the best time. Last night we learned they had karaoke upstairs and it was so fun especially with the amazing MC, Jesse. Highly recommend popping in here for a quick bite and drink. You may end up staying longer like we did!

Extremely busy at all hours apparently. There was no seating in the main bar when we arrived so we had to sit upstairs. Drinks were typical nyc prices. But a very convenient location next to sanctuary hotel nyc. Service was great.

The Good: Great location near the action, Reasonable Prices The Bad: Not a great selection of beers on tap (upper floor) The Ugly: Swiss Miss Bailys and Hot Chocolate We did not eat any food so this is more about the bar and the drinks. We went to this place to have some drinks after going down to Broadway and Times square areas. It was clear from the traffic congestion so we were able to get a decent rate for a ride back to our hotel near Lincoln Center. They did a great job of decorating to make it look like the bar had been there for a long time but it turns out it was pretty new. There are 2 floors complete with a bar, tables, and restrooms. We were able slide into to the top floor bar and watch some sports games. We started with 2 Baily's and Hot Chocolate but they tasted like they were made with Swiss Miss instant hot chocolate (and lukewarm by the time they got to us) and they were not worth the $13 price so I switched to beers and the wife had a tall vodka and cranberry. It looks like the upper bar where we were had a smaller selection of draft beers. They cost about $8 or $9 for an actual pint but unfortunately they were mostly local brews. I tried them all but the IPA's and my favorite was the Tavern Lager. Total cost for 2+ hours of sports viewing while we were waiting for surge pricing to drop was $66

I escaped from the hotel, across the street, to grab a drink. The margarita was loaded! The bartenders were very kind and their food suggestions were perfect for me.

A good amount of options and the food was good. Drank some beer. Watched some football. The ambiance was on poin for what seems to be a higher end sports bar. If you want to watch sports and drown out whatever she is saying during a meal, I definitely recommend checking it out

Great atmosphere, great place to watch a regular game let alone a world cup match. The prices are a little much for just regular ild burgers but I can get past that. It's getting a 3 star for two reasons 1) the happy hour was super limited. Didn't really feel like a happy hour at all. 2) The only digital way to pay os with Apple pay. Food was decent tho so it would be worth a revisit

Loved this place. Lots of TVs to watch all the Sunday afternoon sports. Gets busy fast. Nice variety of food and snacks- we had the pretzel w beer cheese and mustard and it hit the spot. Good beer and cocktail selection as well. Hostess was super sweet and got us seats as soon as she could. Make reservations if you want to be smart and safe- otherwise stalk the bar and you may get lucky! The noise is as expected at a sports tavern- but again- great time!

A really cool location. The food and service were excellent. It was quick and didn't need waiting. I would suggest hanging out at the bar or getting a quick snack with the kids if you're strolling through Time Square.

We had a great lunch and fantastic service our waitress,Lyric, was so accommodating and made our dining experience even better. The Cobb salad was perfect and my husband had a Chicken sandwich with bacon which he thought was amazing. Highly recommend

We had just left the Haven Rooftop restaurant nearby, and our party of four was hunting for an after dinner spot. The restaurant itself had closed down. Luckily Long Acre was right there, and short walking distances are always great for cramped female feet. The bar itself is the standard. Chairs and tables to sit. Large bar with stools. We sat at the bar. The highlight was the service and selection and prices. One of our party is an "industry" person, who works at a top notch restaurant. She and her wife pointed out how good the selection was, and how the prices were awesome for what the bar was offering. Like I said the service here was top notch. I feel that actual "hospitality" is the only reason why you wouldn't just buy a bottle yourself and drink it at home with you friends. Our bartender was super friendly "and" megaprofessional. That would pull me back here if I'm in the area.

I was meeting a friend who works just up the street on 6th Ave. for drinks and dinner & I chose this spot because it's close. I made a good choice. The service is excellent. We were seated immediately after entering and our server appeared less than 10 seconds later to say hello. We got drinks and looked at the menu. At first I was quite unhappy because I saw a pretzel for $15 under appetizers & thought we were in a ripoff Theatre District spot. Glad I was wrong. The rest of the menu was fairly priced, especially for midtown Manhattan. I ordered the Penne A La Vodka & my buddy had the Fish & Chips. The food came in good time and both dishes were very good. When I first looked at my plate, I thought it looked a little light on the penne. Again, glad to say I was wrong. It was plentiful and hot. Our server came by on a regular basis to check on us & to ask if we needed another round. All in all, a good experience. I will definitely return.

My experience was HORRIBLE. I was the only one that as soon as I stepped in and ordered 1 glass of wine and I was told I had to start a tab. I watched all this other race not have to start a tab. 1 couple paid in cash so she had no tab. The female bartender was nasty and discriminates. The manager had a do not care attitude and told me to go ahead and leave a bad review. Black Money Is NO good here!

Cocktails are 0% alcohol!!! Either they just forgot to add it or their spirits are watered down. It's a heavy accusation and I am 100% positive.

Good sports bar, upstairs is cozy. Potato skins are great. The lager on tap is very good.
