If you're looking for a peaceful stop with a beautiful, open view-this is it. The lookout in Scranton doesn't have much going on, but that's what makes it special. Just you, the fresh air, and a wide view of Pennsylvania's landscape. Perfect for a quiet moment, a photo, or just to take in the scenery. Simple, calm, and worth the stop.

The Lookout – Scranton, PA ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) If you’re in Scranton and want a spot that gives you a true panoramic view of the valley, The Lookout is the place to go. Tucked just off the main road, it’s one of those gems you might miss if you don’t know it’s there—but once you find it, the view is absolutely worth it. From the overlook, you get a wide, sweeping view of the city and surrounding mountains, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset when the sky lights up over the hills. At night, the city lights create a beautiful glow, giving you a totally different vibe compared to the daytime. The area is usually quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to clear your head, snap some photos, or just soak in the scenery. Parking is simple, and it’s an easy pull-off spot, which makes it very accessible without a long hike. Pro tips: Best times are golden hour (sunrise/sunset) or nighttime for city lights. Bring a camera—this is one of Scranton’s most photogenic spots. It’s a nice little detour if you’re showing friends or family around town. Overall, The Lookout is a must-visit if you’re in Scranton and want to experience the valley’s beauty in one quick stop.

The Lookout in Scranton is an absolute hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with stunning views that really live up to the name. Whether you're there during the day or catching the sunset in the evening, the scenery adds something special to the whole experience. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly, and the sides were just as delicious. The menu has a great variety, and the portions are generous. You can tell they care about quality in both food and service. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from start to finish. It’s the perfect place for a date night, family dinner, or even just a relaxing meal with a view. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the Scranton area. Can’t wait to return!
