Google
This is literally my very first Google review - I love the Lost Bean so much that I feel like I must write a review for it! This is my go-to place for whole coffee beans. I almost solely drink lattes and make my own espresso at home. The lattes in the cafe are okay but the beans are just phenomenal. I am a dark roast person and absolutely recommend their Decaf beans and the recent 20-year anniversary beans!! Both are very easy to dial in, rich and smooth. The decaf beans have noticeable caramel taste which I love so much. The anniversary beans have all the flavors described in the package incredibly blended together, creating a very silky, smooth, balanced overall flavor and texture. It is So GOOD! I don’t usually go for something that says smoky but the smokiness in there actually makes it taste good! Not sure how long they would supply the anniversary beans and I hope they will forever! Their regular espresso triple blend is okay and harder to dial in, though. Overall, I highly recommend trying their beans out if you like making your own coffee. You get a free cup of drip coffee with purchase of each bag of beans too. Although many times they forgot to make the free cups for me, especially in busy hours.

Google
Cute little cafe nestled in the corner of the shopping center. Very good coffee, I purchased a bag of Colombia Single Origin beans and received a free 12 oz cup of coffee. Nice and smooth, not too strong and great with cream. The breakfast burrito was okay, nothing special. It was expensive and they charged an extra $1.00 for peppers, and then another $1.00 for tomatoes making for a grand total $13.25! Great service, friendly staff and fast service. We walked over but plenty of parking is available. Seating indoors and out, but limited outdoor space.

Google
The best coffee in the world. I go there every morning with my dog and the staff is just amazing. Would give more stars if possible. 😍 Highly recommend going whether you want to hang out, get work done, or just grab a quick coffee. Wish they had more options in their bakery but the coffee is so good I rarely think about it. This is my first time leaving a review but I simply had to for this amazing place!

Google
The coffee was pretty good, it tasted almost perfectly extracted, more on the side of over extracted. The lavender syrup wasn’t too strong in flavor or sweetness, it really balanced out the espresso. My rating is lower most mostly because of the food. For the cost of the food I I was expecting something with more flavor. Everything was extremely bland, even the made to order scrambled eggs. If I didn’t have the condiments that they provided, Tapatio, it would’ve been even more disappointing. All the food was just extremely bland. The area is super cute and very kid friendly. There was plenty of parking in the morning. The staff wasn’t rude, but they also were not welcoming. It seems like a couple of them were bickering between each other, which happens, but keep it in the kitchen where it’s out of earshot from your customers. Would I come here again? Yes, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for breakfast and coffee, possibly just coffee.

Hayli C.

Google
Their coffee is usually good and their beans are great to take home, but the food is disappointing. This sandwich was $14 and as other reviews say, had no flavor. The sausage was very dry and only tasted like pepper. It wouldn’t cost them much to add more to the sandwich or use better ingredients to make the price seem worth it. Edit- took off one more star after finishing the sandwich.

Google
The Lost Bean has a nice vibe, and the espresso is smooth and rich, just like I like it. The place is cozy, but it can get crowded sometimes, and service can be hit or miss depending on when you go. It’s a solid spot if you’re looking for a good espresso but nothing extraordinary.

Google
I stopped by this morning for coffee — and it was absolutely heavenly! ☕️💛 But what impressed me even more was the kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my bag there and didn’t realize until later in the afternoon. I went back to all the places I had been earlier and couldn’t find it… until I returned here — and the girls had kept it safe for me! Thank you so much for the amazing coffee and for having such warm and caring people working there ❤️

Ayesha J.

Google
The lost bean is my absolute favorite coffee shop to start day with! The coffe is very good quality and the staff are so friendly and awesome!! 10/10 definitely recommend 😋 Even my dog refuses to pass by without getting her pup cup 😄

Yelp
I like The Lost Bean and this location at Woodbridge is great given the exceptional outside seating area available. The store is smaller but they offer a pastry and quiche case and a lunch and breakfast menu. Coffee always hits the spot for me. Easy parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
Got here around 9:30AM on Thursday which had quite a few people occupied at tables, both indoor and outdoor seatings! Seemed like everyone trying to do work were indoors and everyone who wanted to chat were outside, which is a great place even local to the lake. I ordered the iced matcha latte with less sweetness and the breakfast burrito. The matcha latte didn't have much flavor to me since it had quite a bit of milk but the breakfast burrito was quite filling! My only true complaint was the pricing but that might be standard for the area.

Yelp
I frequent the Tustin location and love it there, but am always let down at this location. Service always seems to be lacking. Today I had a nearby apt and was excited to grab a coffee and their chocolate zucchini bread. Despite being only one of two in line, the server seemed like I was a bother. After asking the same question 3 times (how much sweetener is in X drink), and getting increasingly snarky replies... not even close to the right answer, not trying to understand my question- I gave up and said nevermind and walked out. Guess I'll have to go to Tustin to get my order

Yelp
I visited the lost bean on a Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of parking spots in the lot & there wasn't too many people there when we arrived. I ordered the pumpkin chai & really liked the music they were playing while I was there. They had a nice variety of food & drink options, & I'd definitely visit again to study.

Yelp
This is my go-to coffee place in Irvine. It's a local chain. I don't normally dine in, I usually pick up a flavored latte and call it a day. I normally order a rose or lavender flavored latte either hot or iced. It's very tasty and comforting. The menu is pretty huge and had something for every taste bud. The staff is friendly and kind. The vibe of this location is mostly college students on laptops. It can feel pretty busy but worth a visit for any coffee lover in Irvine.

Yelp
This place is great but usually very busy. Today was my lucky day, it wasn't crowded at all, and my drink was ready in under five minutes! Parking is plentiful in this plaza. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, you'll find booth-style seating or wooden chairs, just a heads-up that the chairs aren't the most comfortable if you plan to stay and work for a while. Definitely wheelchair and stroller friendly. The outdoor area is lovely but located right next to a children's play area. On nice mornings, you can expect lots of kids playing nearby. It's not the quietest spot, so it's perfect if you're coming to catch up with friends rather than get focused work done. Inside is spacious, and their Wi-Fi is strong. Definitely bring headphones if you're planning to work here. The drinks are excellent. I've had their hot lavender latte before and loved it, but this time I tried their iced matcha with unsweetened almond milk, and it was perfect, highly recommend it! They also offer food options if you plan to stay for a while. The staff is super friendly, and there are two clean, gender-neutral restrooms available. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot, just hope you get lucky like I did and beat the usual crowd!

Yelp
The Lost Bean is a great coffee shop. They serve a wide variety of both coffee and tea drinks. The coffee tastes very good. The menu also has lunch and breakfast items. However, it's a bit overpriced. I wish they had more snack items. The employees are friendly. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside the shop. They sell their coffee to go as well.
google avatar

Jaclyn S.

Yelp
I've come to The Lost Bean many times, it's one of my favorite spots, especially for a quick breakfast. The food is great, and while it gets packed on the weekends, I love coming early when it's still quiet and peaceful. Today, I stopped by during a walk with my mom and dog, and we were helped by Shonda, who was working hard setting up for the day. She was super friendly and even brought out a pup cup for my dog, which was such a sweet touch. The outdoor seating is peaceful and relaxing, I'll definitely be back again soon!

Yelp
The red turbo juice was utterly fantastic and the overall pricing of the beverages and foods here are the best I've seen for a quality cafe that focuses on organic ingredients! The staff seem so happy to work here and it's such a delight to witness a cafe with people who really enjoy supporting the cause(s) the establishment sets out to achieve, which in this case is probably affordable and top-quality coffees, teas, juices, and cafe foods in an ambience that reflects true happiness in life. I love what this cafe stands for and while I wish there was a bigger "waiting area" to stand in after ordering, it's not too crowded so it was just part of the experience. A very inspiring cafe!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
Dropped by to try one of their juices and their Zebra Mocha iced blended latte, which was pretty standard. More sweet than I would have liked, but wasn't bad either. Will have to come back and try their other offerings and lunch options!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has quickly become one of my go-to study spots. It's super spacious with both a clean, cozy interior and plenty of outdoor seating. Whether you're here for a coffee chat, catching up with friends, or getting work done, it's a solid choice all around. I ordered the Heavenly Scent drink, and it lived up to its name. Great coffee, and I felt refreshed and productive. Will definitely be returning when I need a place to focus!
google avatar

Andrew K.

Yelp
Came to spend some time doing work and it's a great option. The service is so so friendly. Really only ordered an iced tea but even this was tastier than normal versions (Hawaiin black tea?). There are a ton of seating options, especially for someone like me who was looking to spend some time and found a booth with a plug (there are plugs everywhere). The location is what I think really sells it. It's located in such an adorable plaza that affords itself so many options for studying. Parking is super easy. One thing I'll say is that the WiFi didn't work the best.
google avatar

Rachelle O.

Yelp
The staff keep this place beautiful, clean and inviting. They were friendly and accommodating. At first, internet was spotty. The manager addressed it without fuss and it was the fastest I experienced after that. Drinks excellent. The Chicken Bacon wrap Delish! I'm coming back.
google avatar

Nandin N.

Yelp
The sausage was bland with no salt and very tough. The egg was dry and tasteless. The hash browns were greasy yet flavorless, and even the bread was stale and poor quality. expensive but sooooo bed
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
There seems to always be a long line here! I've had Lost Bean bookmarked since moving to Irvine and have tried it now on a few occasions when I'm in Woodbridge Plaza. The nice thing is even though this spot can get crowded there's plenty of parking and outdoor seating. I've tried the green juice (very yummy) and their iced coffee. It's really nice, homey, casual coffee shop vibes in here. The menu is pretty standard but they have a lot of options on the pastry and food front.
google avatar

Jamie F.

Yelp
Ordered an ice latte with whole milk. Like the other Lost Bean locations, this one offers WiFi and ample seating (inside and outside) for those who like to study or hang out. While the staff are kind and the place offers a great study spot, the latte fell short. If you prefer a strong latte, I would see if it's possible to add another shot of espresso as mines tasted watery.
google avatar

Jacquelynn P.

Yelp
Coffee was delicious and so was their oatmeal!! I have had oatmeal from a few other local coffee shops and this one is by far the best. Prices of food are similar to those in the area ( so you're looking at $12+ for burritos, sandwiches, etc) the cappuccino was super yummy and creamy. Highly recommend! Plus the ambiance is clean and comfortable. The service was top notch!
google avatar

Katie D.

Yelp
A solid, roomy, minimalistic productivity spot with free working wifi. We visited the location on Monday at 4 PM and there was plenty of seating left. The cafe has two spacious floors with tables spread out. There are bathrooms located upstairs and downstairs. They have 3 study rooms available on a first come, first serve basis. There are charging ports available. We ordered the seasonal pumpkin chai latte ($6). It was alright but could've used more flavor to stand out. For food, we had the classic burrito ($13) and bacon burrito ($14). Both were decent, but a bit pricey for what you get. Parking is mostly street parking. We parked at a garage for free, a 10 minute walk away from the cafe.

Yelp
5 Stars - A Hidden Gem Worth Finding! I stumbled upon this cozy little coffee shop totally by accident--I was just in the plaza to get my nails done and noticed this tucked-away spot next door. What a find! It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but in the best way possible: charming, welcoming, and full of good vibes. Huge shoutout to Shanda, my new favorite barista! She is just the sweetest--inside and out. I wasn't quite sure what to order, since I didn't want something too dark or too sweet, and she absolutely nailed it. I still don't know exactly what she made me, but I'm calling it The Shanda Special from now on. It has oat milk, is the shop's #2 best seller, and it's honestly perfect--smooth, balanced, and just what I didn't know I needed. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. You'll leave with a great drink and an even better mood!
google avatar

Calli Y.

Yelp
Love this little local coffee shop. I usually go to the original in Tustin but when you are here, why not. Great coffees and baked goods. Prices have gone up but that's for everything. Friendly staff.
google avatar

Justina H.

Yelp
The coffee is acceptable, the service isn't rude, and the drinks are not slow... but nothing is particularly exceptional except (it seems) that they're always busy all times of the day. It feels like a cross between your local cafe and a chain.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
I love coming to The Lost Bean to either study or grab a drink with friends. The interior is beautiful and cozy - everything you'd want in a cafe. The service is always quick and friendly. I was decently impressed with the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was full of flavor and had a nice grill on it. The serving size was big and I was even able to take half of my sandwich home! For what I paid, the sandwich was well worth-it! On the other hand, the iced vanilla matcha latte tasted watered down with little matcha flavor. For the most part, The Lost Bean is mildly quiet and the music playing isn't too loud. I'd recommend coming here if you need to get work done or study. The Lost Bean is pretty spacious, with outdoor seating as well! Parking: Ample parking in the plaza.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
The service was friendly and fast, but the americano tasted very watered down. I couldn't taste much of the espresso at all.
google avatar

Alex M. ..

Yelp
La Paz was a little lukewarm pretty much right when I received it. Nice brown sugar flavor but nothing much outside of that. The caramel Macchiato was also nice just nothing special.
google avatar

vanessa k.

Yelp
I love this place. The coffee is amazing. I like the atmosphere and the customer service is great. Plus it's wonderful for families and kids and looking forward to going there again.

Hanna H.

Yelp
The inside of the cafe has air conditioners and is clean. The workers are patient and respectful. The food is really good and I am glad this cafe is nearby. What I ate here: Zucchini chocolate bread - 8/10 - the bread is moist and chocolatey and not too sweet. But I wonder why my fingers get greasy. Sprinkled cookie- 10/10 - This tastes like a less artificial version of birthday cake and the cookie is crumbly and good with cold brew. Blueberry scone - 10/10 - it's not too sweet and crumbly and fluffy. I will come back.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
I'm so sad I didn't take any pictures. My friend recommended we hang out here to catch up and I thought it would only be coffee. They also have some small snacks and lunches along with teas to order. There's a lovely small seating area outside that is only accessible by walking through the store. Otherwise service is quick with the drinks and I didn't experience any issues.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop with delicious sandwiches. There is seating available both inside and outside. Directly outside the gate of their seating area is a small play area for kids, which makes this an excellent stop for parents. There is also a large patch of astroturf with lots of shade from the beautiful trees nearby and benches that overlook the lake to enjoy your coffee with a view. Several people took to laying out blankets and enjoying a picnic, ourselves included. While I was here, I had a cappuccino and tested out two of their fresh juices. These were incredibly good and I would highly recommend having one. (Just keep in mind the fresh juice is only available before 2 pm.) We ordered their Grilled Chicken sandwich with a Parmesan aioli for lunch. This was wonderful and I will certainly be back whenever I fly into town.
google avatar

Nahum S.

Yelp
Ok first of all, if you're not from around here, you will definitely have a mission with this Lost Bean as it is tucked away in the plaza. Once you do find it, you will find yourself inside a busy but inviting coffee spot, I ordered a caramel macchiato and was very happy with it! There is plenty of parking at the plaza and nice outside tables if you want to read or hang while you have your coffee.
google avatar

Kash D.

Yelp
Servers Olivia and Nani were so nice! Food was great. 5/5. Great vibe in the place. Almost any dish can be made vegetarian by request.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Rating this as 3.5 stars! I mainly go here for the vibes since they stay open until 7pm, have a good amount of indoor seating with access to outlets and free wifi (lots more outside), and a cozy playlist! Coffee is decent and fairly priced. Lots of parking.
google avatar

Spencer S.

Yelp
Part of the Woodbridge shopping center. Indoor and outdoor covered seating. Order at the register and they call your name when ready. Fast and friendly service in a casual atmosphere. It's also right up against the open common area of the center, which has fun stuff for kids to play on, if you've got kids. We got two coffees and a cookie for just over $15 with tax and a small tip included as of Nov 2024. Not bad for this day and age. Everything was great!
google avatar

Dia N.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick drink spot that isn't one of the big corps, you'll definitely want to pop in here. It was a hot day and I wasn't feeling coffee so I grabbed their green goddess juice. The cashier at the front was super sweet and friendly and the ordering process was super easy. My drink came out in about 5 minutes. The juice itself was alright. I think personally, I prefer a colder drink so the juice for me was a little underwhelming. The coffee shop itself is loud and quite bustling so it wouldn't be a great place to work, but definitely good for catching up or maybe a coffee chat. I do really love that the area they're in because there's plenty of outdoor seating space with free wifi!
google avatar

Natalie P.

Yelp
This place seems like a cozy place to have coffee and chat with friends, but I usually come here to pick up a drink or bagel to take to go. Service is pretty good! Their cheese bagels are very delicious, but it took over 20 minutes to heat it up once.
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in Irvine. Since the city has a Starbucks in almost every block, it's nice to see a small business do coffee right. Every fall, I look forward to their pumpkin latte bc they use real pumpkin! And this location is the perfect place to hang if you have kids. Has a great park right out front. Also, grab a scone, they are delish!
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
I love the Lost Bean in Tustin. At the Irvine location the counter workers on a Saturday morning seemed too preoccupied talking to each other to recognize me standing there wanting to order coffee. Otherwise, the coffee and burrito was great. Getting a refill of drip coffee was more frustrating than the initial order. You have to wait in the full line just to get a refill. It took five or more minutes of waiting through people figuring out what they want to order with somewhat slow (inexperienced?) order takers while my friend hung out on the patio. It felt like a privilege to pay 75 cents or a dollar for the refill. Good location, nice atmosphere, good food and coffee, but I the ordering could flow a bit better. When we are pay $20 for burrito and coffee shops need to get the basics right.
google avatar

Brittany D.

Yelp
40min for a brewed black coffee? And it was pretty busy for a Friday morning with a bunch of students hunched over laptops studying intensely headphones and all. The bar was disorganized with orders being called out but no one picking up. The space around the bar was also really crowded so it was hard to just find a spot to wait around without feeling like you're getting in anyone's way. I ordered the chai which was on the sweet side. I prefer spicier chai. It was just ok. They also charge over $1 for alternative milk options. As for the homemade frittata, I also thought it was packed with veggies and eggs which was good but lacked flavor. I felt like it needed salt. I don't think I would come back unless it was one of the few places left with a spot to hang out.
google avatar

Meredith L.

Yelp
I ordered a matcha latte! I wish milk substitution didn't cost extra, but otherwise the latte was nice and not too sweet, which I enjoy. They have a nice selection of quiches as well. Cashier/barista was friendly! Indoors, nearly all customers were working on their laptops. Outdoor seating is more suitable if you want to chat with friends, although some of the tables were dirty. Overall, I recommend for people looking to focus on their work and enjoy a coffee!
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
I ordered a tomato basil soup and a Greek salad.....18 min later I had to go to the counter and ask about the order....they had no clue what and when i ordered....this is a small establishment with no communication 28 minutes later im still waiting
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
It is my first time here, and boy it did not disappoint!!! I got an iced caramel macchiato and it was so yummy and creamy! I even ended up buying freshly roasted beans! Sooo good! The place was very chill too! Def a place you can go and enjoy coffee to study or relax. They were a bit understaffed when I went but regardless, they delivered! Def coming back!!!
google avatar

Glo D.

Yelp
I LOVE your coffee Shop name, and I am praising to ALL hard working staff for their professionalism and comforting matters. I really enjoyed going to your coffee establishment. How did you ever get that unique name, "The Lost Bean." I like looking at the Artistic coffee cups, extremely creative. My ordered Lattes are always tasty and so lovely. Thank you very very much. See you soon...
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
The sugar-free vanilla latte has nice aroma and good flavor. Great value ($5) but no latte art. Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendation. Ambiance is comfortable and has nice relaxing, local vibe with hip hop music in the background. Great place to enjoy hot coffee while browsing your laptop.

Moti C.

Yelp
I mean, the place is really cool and a beautiful area but the guy helping wasn't so nice and when I asked to make the cappuccino, not too hot, he even repeated it and said OK no problem when I got the cappuccino it was scorching hot. I guess my first sign that it was going to be terrible coffee was when he asked me what size I wanted to cappuccino.. You live and you learn.. It's amazing to me that every person can open a coffee shop without having a clue how to make a good coffee.. so if you want a zucchini chocolate brownie, this place is great for you but if you want good coffee, go somewhere else.
google avatar

Denise V.

Yelp
Service was good Coffee was good they had no sugar free vanilla, no cold foam( well only strawberry) Ambiance: quiet , not enough seating. Also a bit confusing, as it's attached to a wine bar next door.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in a super cool plaza that has a movie theater, bunch of food spots, and a great view of the river! They stop serving food and juices at 2 pm so be aware! We came to the coffee shop to work and eat but was informed it was only until 2 pm. I got a hot chocolate which was alright - nothing special. The workers were nice. The only downside was it was freezing in the coffee shop and we weren't the only ones that felt that. When I told the workers, they said it was hot.. probably because they were moving around the entire time. But when it's 68 degrees outside, you shouldn't have AC blasting.

Prabh G.

Yelp
Better than bulletproof coffee is fantastic I'd highly recommend. Great service and clean store
google avatar

Sreshta M.

Yelp
I asked for chicken sandwich without bacon in it. I received it with a lot of bacon and also with a complimentary hair in it. I got a vanilla latte which was ok. I went many times to the place and the quality of the coffee is good. I feel that the location is great but hope the service improves.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
This cafe is amazing! The quality is the lattes is superb. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk with a banana chocolate chip muffin. My friend ordered a rose decaf latte and a blueberry scone. Both were delish!!!! I will definitely be coming back here. My oat milk was steamed to perfection and had the right amount of froth and airiness.
google avatar

Yelp
The Lost Bean was recommended by my cousin who also lives in Irvine. I am so grateful that this cafe is so close because I immediately fell in love. It is located in the Woodbridge Village with plenty of parking all around. Keep in mind there are two parking areas that access this plaza. The Woodbridge Village offers plenty of outdoor seating and an outdoor kids area to enjoy. I love walking into a place that's filled with people who are either sitting comfortably with their laptops, chatting it up with company or sitting solo enjoying their meals and drinks. This cafe is definitely welcoming. Love the vibes! It has so much to offer to get "lost" and I can see myself easily doing that here. I ordered an OJ for my son and the Monkey Mocha for myself and a chocolate chip walnut cookie to go. Servers had an awesome sweet and helpful attitude! Drinks were amazing and I'd definitely come back to enjoy their other coffees and enjoy their aesthetics as well!
