Deliveroo Has a London Restaurant Delivery Rival in The Great Feast | Eater London

"Conceived by Street Feast founder Dominic Cools-Lartigue and entrepreneur Bejay Mulenga, this weeklong digital food festival (3–5 July) is being launched as a permanent online marketplace offering limited-edition menus and citywide delivery via its own fleet of green bikes and electric vans. Operating a 'buy a meal, give a meal' model through the founders' charity A Plate For London — which has supplied around 15,000 meals during lockdown — the platform aims to support independent restaurants with logistical help and a fairer commission structure tailored to each operator (typically 10–20% versus the larger platforms' c.30–35%). All hot food is pre-ordered (usually with a 24‑hour cut-off) to reduce waste, and the site will also host one of the widest selections of restaurant recipe kits in London (20 at launch, including kits from Kricket and Patty & Bun). Showcasing dishes from Michelin-starred chefs and cult-followed brands, the initiative is self-funded, values-driven, emphasizes inclusion and representation, and plans to expand into podcasts, video/editorial content, a production kitchen and events space in east London, and eventually a physical festival when feasible." - Adam Coghlan

A genuinely wondrous experience... truly immersive! 🎭✨ What an amazing night we had @lostestateofficial ! This fabulous venue, set like a 1920’s jazz club, transported us to another era. 🎷 The atmosphere, the theatre, and the performances were truly fantastic. We experienced THE GREAT MURDER MYSTERY, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best shows I have ever attended. 🕵️‍♂️ The Lost Estate has created a visionary immersive theatre in the former mannequin factory in West Kensington. Their meticulously crafted fusion of immersive sets and world-class performances left us spellbound. The food served during the show was also amazing, top-notch, and far exceeded my expectations. 🍽️ Each course was thoughtfully prepared and perfectly complemented the extraordinary experience, adding another layer of enjoyment to the night. From the moment we arrived, the warm greeting and easy-to-find location in West Kensington set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Indulge in depravity, murder, and fine dining as you lose yourself in Sherlock Holmes’ darkest case of all – The Hound Of The Baskervilles… 🐾 The attention to detail in every aspect, from the venue’s decor to the intricate plot twists, made it a night to remember. If you’re looking for a unique night out that combines mystery, drama, and delicious food, Lost Estate is a must-visit. It’s an amazing evening, not to be misse

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! What a festive and memorable way to spend Christmas Eve!! From the minute you receive your email confirmation/tickets you’re immersed in the festive atmosphere! Everything from the building, the menu, the music, decor, and actors all contribute to a true Dickens Christmas! The main actor was absolutely invested in his art and gave a phenomenal and entertaining performance. The set design and lighting were so well done, and each and every server did their part to contribute to an immersive and spectacular evening! The food was delicious, and they were very well informed in handling my food allergy (Celiac). The community dining allowed us to make new friends, which added to the charm of the evening. Our thanks to the entire Lost Estate team for giving us such wonderful memories!

An absolutely brilliant sensational evening of fine dinning and entertainment. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were extremely attentive, we were assigned a waiter for the evening who was wonderful. The food was delicious but portions are quite small, those with larger appetites may not find it filling. I would definitely recommend going for the higher tier packages so you can be close to the action. The cocktails were very delicious, I unfortunately did not like one but I was able to swap it for another at no added cost. The interior was decorated beautifully, the performers were incredibly talented. The show was immersive and the music was incredible, the only downside was the storyline was hard to follow so it needs to be simplified or changed. Overall, would highly recommend.

We attended the Dickens evening reading of Christmas Carol. What an atmospheric wonderfully evening. With live music excellent food and a magnificent performance of the much loved tale. A great evening made wonderful by the costumes of the audience and a brilliant performance by Charlie Dickens. Well worth a visit.

Amazing Show, Disappointing Service We went to The Lost Estate show with work, and there were some definite highs and lows. The positive: The show itself was absolutely fantastic. From the lighting, sound effects, and decorations to the live music, everything was executed perfectly. The main character really made the evening special — it was an immersive and entertaining experience that we’ll remember. The downside: Unfortunately, the service and seating let the experience down. Our table was the last one by the toilets, which meant we were last to receive our food. One friend’s ice cream for the Christmas pudding arrived completely melted. The seating was very tight, making it hard to move without disturbing others, and we were facing away from the stage, so we had to twist our necks the whole show. Drinks and food service were slow; our mains arrived so late that the second act had started, and we ended up eating in near darkness for most of it. Overall, the show itself was brilliant, but the logistics and service made it hard to fully enjoy the evening.

Had an amazing evening at the Lost Estate this evening. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and drink and spectacular performances . Essentially a one man show with 3 supporting musicians and some audience participation. Was “lucky” to be pulled from the audience to play the part of Turkey Child! There is a collection on the way out to support charity so please take some cash to donate as they were unable to take cards. Thoroughly recommend it - the main actor deserves an Oscar for holding the entire audience captive with a mesmerising performance! Even more so as on the night they had to stop part way through the first act for a medical incident in the audience. When he came back it was seamless straight back into character as if nothing had happened. True professional!

Went on sunday evening performance, was totally brilliant, food exceptional wait staff better than most restaurants friendly and approachable, you really were treated as though you were Mr Dickens guest. Only draw back was that the chairs for me were very hard but asked for cushion and one was found within minutes, would throughly recommend if want a totally imersive entertainment experiance. First class in every way.

Went there last night for a birthday, well it was brilliant, great reception, atmosphere food and drink. Had the Cuba libre and it was awesome. Now the entertainment was brilliant, great band and dancers and the finale they got the audience up for a dance. Make sure you go there.
