12 Best Rooftop Bars to Visit in Savannah, Georgia | Eater Carolinas

"The Lost Square is among Savannah’s more refined rooftops. Classy yet casual, this breezy and spacious meeting spot serves top-dollar tipples inspired by Savannah’s rum-running history. The low-slung couches are a haven for a Sunday afternoon spent nursing the hair of the dog in silence. If you visit in the winter, book a private igloo to enjoy riverfront views without sacrificing warmth." - Kiki Dy

Google
Super cool and unique rooftop bar. Loved the vibe up here and the drinks were really good and refreshing, we had the mule. Got to watch a few container ships leaving the ports while enjoying the breeze.

Google
Perfect ambiance for relaxation with a few drinks. Beautiful outdoor area overlooking Savannah. Menu was small, but the items were good. Wait staff was ok. Drinks were good. Would visit again just for the laid back energy.

Google
Amazing rooftop which was perfect for a weekend brunch! The loaded fries were great and the smoked salmon toast was even better. The drinks were expensive but good!

Brooks Hastings

Google
We loved this place! Atmosphere was 10/10, as were the drinks- kudos to the bartender. The rentable yurts were an interesting touch. We went Saturday night and it was pretty packed - they had a live musician and everything. Highly recommend checking out this gem.

This was my first time at The Lost Square. It’s a great place to socialize and chill! It is somewhat hard to find, but overall great experience.

Google
Beautiful rooftop bar! Very warm for it still being winter. The drinks were nicely balanced and well presented. The staff is very unassuming and professional. The atmosphere is gorgeous- we were so sad to miss the yurt they had up for the holidays! Puppy friendly too!!

Google
Discovered the Lost square through some tourists actually, as I am new to Savannah. A friend and & went fairly late on a Friday. Staff were extremely nice, we sat at the bar, it was fairly busy & none of the staff seemed bothered. Its the first place in Savannah that made a perfect Manhattan correctly. Atmosphere is nice, beautiful view, the staff is awesome. Sat at the bar, did not get food only had a few cocktails.

Google
We had a great brunch. Food was amazing. They had a DJ with a nice blend of music and the cocktails were amazing. Awesome food top bar in Savannah.

Yelp
My fiancé and I ate here with our pup and it was absolutely amazing!! The space had spots both in the shade and in the sun for those nice non hot days. The service was impeccable we weren't bothered too much or too little. My fiancé actually said the burger that he got was the best burger he has ever had which is huge for him because he is the pickiest eater known to man. I was thoroughly surprised by the flavors of all of the food we got. I absolutely loved the drinks we got as well and the best part of it all is this rooftop bar is pet friendly! Anywhere that I can bring my dog along is always a good time. That coupled with the good drinks and good food definitely made for a great time overall. I love everything about the space and I think it's definitely a spot to hit while visiting or if you live here!

Yelp
The most cozy, luxurious, romantic best of the best rooftop bar in Savannah I love it so much so I bragged about it to some locals, who didn't know about it, and now they're heading over. Aside from all this now during holidays they put these 2 large cute holiday glamping tents set up for a party of up to 6 with cozy blankets, fire pit on the table, it's a $60 min. Per person fee (you use the 60 credit in food and drinks.) There was a couple having a romantic dinner in one, we were just snooping, sorry guys. Love this!! See pics

Yelp
This bar is located on the roof of The Alida and is thoughtfully designed and the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and small plate. There is a heater above each stool at the bar so you can visit on a chilly night and not be cold, they also have hooks for your purse/bag. The servers are absolutely Amazing, Excellent service and talented mixologist skills. I sat up here for a few hours enjoying the atmosphere, food, drinks, and other guests. During this visit I had the following: Calamari, fried to perfection and served with a spicy sauce that caught me by surprised by tasted SO GOOD $18, Time and Again $16 perfectly made cocktail, and a Hot Toddy served with Rittenhouse Rye which was the perfect drink to end the evening before heading back to my room. Olivia is an excellent model for everyone in the service industry, such a cool person. Overall, this was one of my favorite spots during my weekend getaway and if I was staying at this hotel, I would be at this rooftop bar every night and or day.   Make sure you check it out and hopefully you're lucky and Olivia will be working.

Yelp
Nice spot for a night cap. Too cold for the roof top, but the right weather would make this a great spot.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Great view. Great food. Great cocktails. Great service. A lot of hotel bars phone it in based on a captive audience. A lot of rooftop bars phone it in based on the novelty of it. The Lost Square hits on all cylinders even though they don't have to. Respect. Come for the cocktails stay for the largest container ships you'll ever see.

Yelp
Beautiful view, beautiful fireplace, great service, good food and good drink selection. This rooftop bar is a must-visit and was a highlight of my time in Savannah.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
I love the lost square. The service is great, the covered roof top area is great for a rainy day, the food is delicious. They have their downstairs kitchen cooking for the rooftop and it's just so great. We also took our dog and he loved it.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice little spot! Absolutely love the hot cider! The river views are very nice too! Def recommend this spot

Yelp
Atmosphere, music, weather and food Just Beautiful until I couldn't get my spoon. Food Delicious!

Yelp
Rooftop bar. Not bad. Small space so I can see it getting slammed rather quickly. Husbands drink was great! He got the Broken Funny Bone. I got the Monkey Fist and it was pretty bad. We got the Bass Ceviche which was delicious, just crazy expensive. This place was a one and done for me.
google avatar

Yelp
We stayed in The Alida so decided to go up for a drink one night. We saw the beautiful sunset and the drinks were good. It was a bit chilly but all the heat lamps were going. You can bring drinks back to your room from any bar of the hotel.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop bar. The views are wonderful and with the summer heat having a rooftop bar with a good cross breeze makes it much more comfortable. The menu was light and refreshing as well.
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful rooftop lounge at the Alida's. All of our drinks were AMAZING. The cutest thing was the fake snow that kept falling every few minutes. They had two tents set up for a $65/pp dinner setup which seemed super cool from the inside. Overall highly recommend this place for a laidback evening at a cozy rooftop.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I wanted a nightcap and thought it would be fun to try a rooftop bar while visiting Savannah. We were greeted right away when we walked in and told to sit where we'd like. Seeing as how we wanted the rooftop experience, we chose to sit by the open window area. Based on other reviews, people seem to like this place but the service on the night we went was terrible. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come by with menus (there were only about 5 other people in there besides us and 2 people working). They seemed to only want to engage with people sitting at the bar so we moved over there to get service. The wine I had was meh at best. Unfortunately it just wasn't a great experience.

Yelp
The Lost Square and Alpine Village at the Alida Hotel provided a delightful experience. The food was delicious, drinks were great and service was excellent. The rooftop yurt, designed like a ski lodge, offers an intimate setting. The rooftop bar right outside the yurts is first come first serve and boasts beautiful scenery, heaters for colder days, and live music, making it a well-rounded and enjoyable venue. A friendly reminder to adhere to reservation times for the Alpine Village Experience as there's a 90 minute reservation time and if you do not leave at the requested time, someone is waiting right outside the yurts and it throws everyone's reservation off and it's not only inconvenient for the guests but also the wait staff because they need to reset the yurt before you can be seated, which includes cleaning, sanitizing, new candles, blankets, etc. Recommend the Port City Spritz, which may be my new favorite drink, the ceviche, cheddar drop biscuits and the fried chicken. Make sure and add the S'mores bar as a final treat! The food was seriously my favorite part. Overall a great experience and I look forward to seeing what the Lost Square has next year for the holidays.

Yelp
Great spot! Classy, quiet, relaxed... it was exactly what we were looking for. With an overwhelming array of choices in the area, this was our favorite.
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
A nice comfortable rooftop lounge. There is lots of seating and most of it is covered so you aren't in the sun. They offer a nice variety of cocktails and beers and a small menu of food. We started with the summer dip appetizer which is hummus, fried pita chips, assorted vegetables and tzatziki sauce. Since it was July 4th, they had all beef hot dogs as a special. I had mine with minced red onions, cheese, tomatoes and horseradish aioli. Delicious! It was nice and relaxing here. Nice music and it was good to get away from the crowds. The bartenders were really friendly and gave us recommendations for other places to try.

Yelp
Fire spot tbh with some great workers. Only thing is the drinks are pretty pricey but I might just be broke. Overall good time, especially the galentines day event

Yelp
We arrived around 2 pm on a very cold Sunday but (I'm guessing because of the weather) the Lost Square was completely empty and we had our choice of seats - so we snagged the chairs right next to the firepit (PERFECT)! They also had ceiling heaters at the bar, which was a comfortable spot, too. The cushy seats were actually pretty uncomfortable when we first sat down (there's a huge bar in the middle of them - sit with caution!). None of the cocktails particularly appealed to me at first, either. But I ended up with the Hot Apple Cider and it was hands down the best spiked cider I've ever had. It's definitely butter-washed, which gave it the depth and body that I feel is usually lacking in hot cider cocktails. Party also ordered two other cocktails from the menu and everyone was impressed with their drinks. Clearly, their bartenders/mixologists know what they're doing and I was more impressed with this drink than any other of the weekend. If we didn't have a flight to catch, I could have spent all afternoon up there! The waitstaff was attentive but also chill, and it looked like they had some good snacks as well.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
The bar itself is beautiful! It has heated little rooms for chillier days/nights and the decor is my type of bougie. The two specialty drinks we ordered were very strong, and different than any flavor I've had before. "Bless her heart" tasted like a tart blackberry! Service was great, although drinks were around $15-16 each so be prepared for that. Overall a great experience and we will be back!

Christina S.

Yelp
Maybe they were having an off night? I ordered the monkey fist cocktail and it arrived with no ice and no garnish, just a glass of liquid. The pimento app was good though. Our server's timing was weird too - when we finished ordering she asked if we wanted to keep the tab open or close it out, and when we said close, just brought us our check before we even received our drinks. Everything just felt kinda wonky. The ambiance was great though - it's a good spot to catch the sunset.

D Y.

Yelp
Love the mocktails here - plus the menu has lots of healthy options. Best views day or night! Friendly bartenders too.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
The best place to visit while in Savannah. The Lost Square is a hidden gem. It's located on the top floor of the Alida hotel is open to everyone, not just hotel guests - big plus! The views are AMAZING! Get here early to get a spot; the chairs (which are so comfy) are a bit limited (maybe COVID), and then wait for the sunset; it will be epic. The drinks are delicious and very reasonably priced for the location. This is the perfect after-dinner place to visit for a date night, a night out with friends, or just by yourself to take in the views.
google avatar

Yelp
What a fun concept. In additional to a beautiful, well thought out layout, comfortable and spacious (and socially distanced) seating; with some drinks you get a spell card! Don't ask me for the bearings, but this rooftop bar seems to be open in facing a different direction than the others, a constant strong breeze was blowing the whole time, and not at any other rooftop bar. They had some really neat speciality drinks, I only remember mine had the word hair in it and was similar to a purple hooter with lemonade in it. But it came with an actual spell (which I haven't tried yet), too cute!
google avatar

Eman E.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop restaurant/bar. Has an amazing view and even better drinks and food! The atmosphere is great and the bartenders were very attentive and helpful. Would come back to this hidden gem in a heartbeat!
google avatar

Xinyu L.

Yelp
A gem inside the Alida Hotel, the Lost Square provides an awesome, untouristy rooftop experience of Savannah. Drinks are decently priced and tasty and the bartenders are friendly. Catch it at sunset for a real treat.
google avatar

Liliana G.

Yelp
What a wonderful bar experience during COVID times. It is a breath of fresh air that this place is able to operate adequately. The Lost Square has been able to adapt to COVID times. They provide domes for extra social distancing. The place is never fully packed, they definitely follow all CDC guidelines while keeping the atmosphere fun and light.
google avatar

Bess B.

Yelp
Good cocktails and a great view of the city. Plenty of nice seating areas and a fire for when the temps get cooler
google avatar

Simran A.

Yelp
Located on the top of the Alida hotel, this is another addition to the rooftop bar scene in Savannah with the view of the river and the bridge. It was a little chilly when I went there so they had the heat lamp and fire place on, which was nice and the place felt cozy. They have some appetizers, wine, beer and shots on the happy hour menu (Monday to Friday from 4-6pm) however, no cocktails. I hope they add some cocktails to it soon.* *the bartender was super nice and charged me twice the price of the shot (shot price on the happy hour menu, $2 each) and made me a cocktail with the shot for $4. I tried the Brown derby cocktail, it was refreshing and is similar to an old fashioned but with grapefruit flavor. We also tried the Chicken mousse and it was delicious! They also gave us complementary bread with ricotta cheese, which was perfect with the Merlot. I will definitely be back for another happy hour or a night out in the town.

Yelp
Worth finding, but hopefully not everyone as we enjoyed having some space to relax. Our bartender was awesome finding a drink for my wife and keeping up with orders while being engaging. Nice views of the city and some of the water with plenty of seating options - bar, lounge, tables, igloo. We will definitely make it back to the roof top on our next Savannah excursion.

Melody O.

Yelp
Decent hotel bar, the locals call it Wayfair bc of fun decor. Very small downstairs bar inside with a few cubby holes and outdoor patio. Rooftop bar is nice. Spacious with gas fireplace. Fun to stop in for a slower setting from time to time. Good place for conversations.
google avatar

Anastasia W.

Yelp
The only reason I don't give this more stars is because I only had one drink and didn't stay long. All and all it was a wonderful place to get together and have drinks with your friends. I would like to go back when it's a bit colder outside and enjoy the fireplace and not when it's 100 degrees outside. I will say their fall time menu was amazing, they had a drink called sweater weather (which I didn't get but I heard is amazing) would recommend and plan to go back
google avatar

Reggie B.

Yelp
The fried cauliflower was indeed amazing....the hype reviews are true!! The rooftop views are not the best in the city, but worth it nevertheless. This was our first time here, but it will not be our last!!
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Above Savannah River street is this wonderful bar at The Alida Hotel. It is a beautiful day on the eve of Christmas Eve, it is sunny and 61 degrees! This is a full service bar with many specialty cocktails.
google avatar

Brendie W.

Yelp
Great rooftop bar in Savannah, get their early on a weekend the line is long. Its worth the wait. It's clean, the atmosphere is fun. The staff is wonderful. The drinks are pricey but well done!
google avatar

Roseann M.

Yelp
Nice vibe! They have a sunset hour from 6-8 which was a welcome surprise. Was raining that day but they had a lot of covered seating and even trivia going on. Next time we're in town I'd check into staying at the hotel too.
google avatar

Gina G.

Yelp
This was a Great place for a nice relaxing cocktail at the Alida hotel where we stayed with good service and fresh craft made drinks!! The bartenders are very nice and knowledgeable
google avatar

Abbey M.

Yelp
The view alone is worth 5 stars. Add to that the decor and drinks and you have yourself a 5+ rooftop bar. Enjoy The Lost Square during the day or at night with your favorite cocktail in hand and it is sure to be a glorious day or evening.
google avatar

Xenia M.

Yelp
The Lost Square is the rooftop bar located in the Alida Hotel. After dinner, we decided to check this out. They had a live DJ playing a variety of music, and the views are spectacular! I found myself cozying up by their fireplace, which was my favorite! We ended up staying on the roof top until they closed for the night. Overall it was just a great time!
google avatar

Cecilia B.

Yelp
I'm so glad that we choose to do the "igloo" it was a lot of fun. Our server Melvin was marvelous and very accommodating!
google avatar

Sunita M.

Yelp
We came at a pretty off time-around 3:30p on a Thursday-so we had the space to ourselves. The bartender was great! Made us things off the menu based on what we said we like & they were good. The main appeal of this place, though, is the space itself. The bar is nice, the views of the river are great, and the open air of it all makes it a perfect respite from the hot august Georgian day!
google avatar

Robyn M.

Yelp
The Lost Square is an awesome rooftop addition to downtown/River Street area! Not only is it a large space, there is tons of seating and little areas to cozy away. I had the Service Brewing Alida Harper - which was fantastic. Brewed especially for the Alida hotel! The views are different than the other rooftops nearby, which is refreshing. And the bartender, Melvin, was super friendly and provided awesome service. Will definitely return for a drink or two in the future!
google avatar

Crystal D.

Yelp
I went to the lost square a few times while staying at the Alida hotel and it was super fun! Definitely awesome spot and it exceeded my expectations! Not only can you have a nice cocktail with a fantastic view of the city, but the people are super fun and it's so lively! The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable. They can make almost any drink. On Saturday night they had a fantastic DJ who played everything! Something for the younger crowd and older crowd, genres ranging from reggae to hip hop to 80s pop! I danced all night and was sad when it was over. Much better than going to a sweaty, smelly club any day. Loved it here!

Anthony H.

Yelp
This was my first time at The Lost Square and we had Olivia as our bartender. She was amazing!! She recommended the Monkey Fist and it was so good. Loved the vibe of the space but our experience wouldn't have been as fabulous without Olivia, definitely ask for her when you visit!
google avatar

Desira S.

Yelp
I finally had the opportunity to visit the Lost Square. It was a slightly humid nice with a nice breeze. I had a dry cider ale for $6. The space is eel designed. There's plenty of room to view the river or the city. There is ample seating at the bar and low couches for an intimate setting or with a group. I was surprised by the amount of concrete and less decoration. There was music playing from a speaker and sometimes they have live music. The menu is pretty simple too with a limited food, beer, wine, and cocktail menu. It was ok but I think other rooftops have more to offer that appeal to the senses.
google avatar

Megan E.

Yelp
Gorgeous views and delicious drinks! Loved the mean girl themed speciality drinks. Also the decor was to die for
google avatar

Curtis T.

Yelp
The roof top bar here at the Alida hotel is stunning. Great service, somewhat hidden still, good atmosphere and stunning view. I highly recommend this bar. And the cocktails they are dishing out.
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Perched high atop the brand new Aldina Hotel, The Lost Square is a great addition to the rooftop bar scene in Savannah. On my several visits, the service has been spot on, friendly but not overbearing. Some of the other rooftop bars in this city should take some notes on service. The drinks have always been expertly mixed with a nice heavy pour. I love the Ricky and G&T. Seating is very comfortable with a great fireplace in the middle of the bar.

Tiffany M.

Yelp
While staying at the Alida I was able to frequent this amazing bar. The drinks were by far the best in the city and the atmosphere was top-notch. Jerome was my bartender numerous times and each time outdid himself. His drink knowledge and personality are really impeccable. The spot will definitely be one of my go to places while in Savannah!
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
Drinks are strong and food hits the spot. What more could you ask for in a rooftop bar? You can see the bridge and the boats coming down the river. Perfect for snacks and drinks.
