I went there with family at night time to see a concert. The band did covers so it was so fun to sing along. They set up "cubes" where there are picnic chairs and a table and a fence around it too keep six feet from othe people. You can order food and it was a great experience.

With the pandemic not totally behind us, going to venues to see live music can still be a concern. The Lot has a great socially distanced setup where you can feel safe and then enjoy a great night of music outside by the water. Just saw a great show with Joseph and the Margos

Easy to get to, well organized, grounds are well maintained, toilets are not smelly, they have a hand washing station. I came here with a friend to watch Plastic Cactus. Show was great. Sound was great, views were great. It was the longest day of the year, hot, and the sunset made the sky pink and orange. It was just beautiful. Would definitely go back.

This is an awesome venue. Every worker I talked to acted as they were welcoming into there home, so pleasant, so inviting. I can’t praise them any higher. The food an drink offerings were delicious and reasonable. This venue was terrific. The sound wasn’t the best acoustics, but few outdoor venues are. I’ll be back.

The space here has potential (pleasant if bare-bones) but for the show on July 18, the sound was terrible. The amplification is just not adequate for the space - maybe it's okay in the front "pods," but the sound is just tepid anywhere else; sure, you can hear the music, but it had weak dynamics and energy. Even worse, the horn tweeters on the right were cutting in and out for the entire show (including recorded intermission music). It's a bit of a betrayal to take a dynamic band and suck most of the energy out of their performance with inadequate sound equipment. BTW, I'm no headbanger - in fact, I usually carry earplugs to indoor venues. On a positive note, the video was really well-done; sound-synced well, and cut to the musicians who were doing solos or accents. It even made up for the flat sound a bit by cueing the audience visually to what they should be hearing. But it's a music show - so disappointing that you couldn't appreciate the actual audio.

The Lot is a pretty bare bones venue: a gravel field with seating arranged in pods of two, four or six; porta-potties for bathrooms; and three different shacks serving food, wine & beer, and sweets and souvenirs. That said, it's a good, picturesque place to hear music. Even the Oregon Symphony evening I saw wasn't drowned out by the traffic on the Ross Island and Tillikum bridges nearby. I think the acoustics would be better suited to rock, jazz, and blues shows. I believe they also have some film screenings. This is a welcome new venue for Portland, and might perhaps get some fancier accutrements as it develops. It only opened in May 2021, so let's see where it goes.

Music, movie, great food & drinks! In your own little space right by the water! I truly enjoyed the evening and the view and hope this venue is around for a long time!

Google
gorgeous venue but figure out your sound! i felt so bad for the lovely Y La Bamba ❤️‍🩹 this space needs surround sound or at least some larger speakers to make it worth going back to.

Yelp
We drove down from Seattle to see the Portland Cello project play this newer socially distanced outdoor venue. The sound wasn't the best but as we were one pod from the back row of pods I wasn't expecting any miracles related to sound. Entering from Moody as a pedestrian could probably benefit from a crosswalk from the sidewalk side of the street to the gravel pathways leading up to the entry-tent. Also, the road to seating, (as well as everything inside) is hella gravelly with big rocks - so shoe appropriately for walking on medium rocks! You'll thank me later! People are still mostly not clumping seriously in these covid times. The social distancing wasn't oppressively enforced though so, you still get the vibe of being at a concert without being too distant from your fellow peoples. There was a bag check and parking (although we didn't use the parking). There's a couple varieties of chairs in the lot and it seems mostly random which chair style you'll get as well as the pod style of your personal pod (lumber vs. the picket fencing). We all get the glorious astroturf! There was one food truck. One amenities for purchase stand (sunscreen, etc). And a beer/wine truck. We were super grateful for the sunscreen as spousie forget theirs. Everything was e-payment only. On the whole, it was just nice to be around people/at a concert again! It's nice to have an outdoor socially distanced option!

Yelp
I have seen four movies with pre-show concerts at The Lot. It is an excellent outdoor summer venue in these trying times. You purchase a pod of even numbered seats 2-6. The pods are evenly spaced. The bathrooms are about a dozen porta potties. They do an exceptional job of keeping them clean, even when they have had shows for several days in a row. They have a beer/wine booth, a booth for candy and general items and have two food vendors set up (although only one of them has been operating the last two shows we went to). We have really enjoyed every show we've seen there. My only complaints are that they sell pre-packaged popcorn rather than popping their own. Given how much they have pulled off in making a gravel lot into a comfortable venue, I feel like a popcorn machine should be within their abilities. Also, their screen has a couple discolored segments which was a little distracting while watching a black and white movie. Things to know: 1) There is no cover in the pods, but the sun usually passes behind the hills soon after the show starts. It can also get chilly after dark. 2) It is a gravel lot so be sure to wear thick soled shoes. The stones can be uncomfortable to walk on otherwise. 3) They do allow sealed water bottles but require reusable or open bottles be dumped out before entry. 4) They will check you bag or purse.

Yelp
Fun. Saw a show and a movie. Loved the pods. One food cart and one food stand. One bar which sells beer, wine and hard seltzer. They also had a snack stand. One of the tiles was out during the movie which was a little annoying. It's down by the water so it cools down quite a bit at night, I brought a blanket and was very comfortable. We had pod 40, great view of the stage and movie.
