Gov. Steve Sisolak’s appearance at a Las Vegas restaurant with live entertainment sparks debate, ire | Eater Vegas

"This lounge pairs food service with solo or duo performers who play at an ambiance level, reflecting the type of non-ticketed background entertainment that some regulators permit." - Susan Stapleton

We had great drinks one night and watered down old fashioned and half glasses of martini the next. So it really depends on the mood of the bartender.

Modern lounge in middle of the casino with a full bar service. Multiple TVs to watch sports. There is no food served there, just a place to hang out with friends and family and have a drink while relaxing. Chairs and bench style seating with small tables. Cozy, clean, and excellent customer service. Thanks Harrahs!

Started out great until Shawn decided to have a power trip. 6 guests had some extra time to kill and wanted to have some time at the machines. Shawn continued to say “play a little more” before he would comp another round of drinks. The lights on the back of the machines were flashing but not to his satisfaction. $250 thru machines and 1 round of drinks… Shawn was less than professional and enjoyed his control trip for the hour that we were there. Many other locations that want your patronage over this spot… seek elsewhere first.

Lindsey was amazing! She handled the bar on her own and was working non stop.

Went in on an early afternoon when it wasn't busy and sat at the bar playing video poker. Betting max and I put in $100 my friend put in $20. We are both diamond players. After 10 minutes of being ignored by the bartender, Shawn, and him helping others we left. I hadn't been drinking any alcohol so I have no idea why he ignored us. He walked by us several times to wait on people that had just walked up to the bar.

Yelp
My friend and I have been going to Las Vegas and staying at HARRAH's for years. We have always had great service and regularly stay in decent rooms. A couple months ago we discovered "The Lounge". This is a high end quant lounge with a comfy relaxed atmosphere in the center of HARRAHS where you can go to enjoy really good cocktails and USUALLY really great bartenders. If you are gambling at the tables and you lose enough money in the machines, the drinks are comped (that is a huge bonus). Here's the good stuff; JIM- Jim has served us the last few times we sat at the lounge. Jim is lovely to say the least. He is happy, chatty and he makes really good drinks. Jim is a big part of the reason that we returned to the lounge after the first night of going there back a few months ago. We fell in love with Jim and his sweet chatty self. This October we returned to the lounge and Jim recognized us immediately and made sure to take the time to come over and chat. I bet Jim is a big reason why most people keep returning to this lounge. My friend and I actually ended up sitting in the lounge for a few hours. I did end up losing about 100$ in the slot machine, but the drinks were free, the chairs were so comfortable and I liked the game so I stayed. Jim's shift ended and then ... the bad stuff; ELVIS ( not sure if that is his real name). Elvis served us after Jim went home and this was very unfortunate as Elvis is not a nice person, not by a long shot. I earlier watched as he mean mugged patrons and rolled his eyes while talking to them. He is abrupt, he is rude, and he was demeaning to me when I tried to order a drink from him (actually made me so upset, that I cried and left the lounge). Apparently my machine had "timed out" which means I didn't gamble for a bit.. my girlfriend and I were having a very emotional conversation about our parents that recently passed so for about 30 min I didn't spin on the slot machine, my green light went out and that means my drinks are not comped unless I keep gambling ( I wasn't aware of that timing out thing). I intended to sit there for a bit and have another drink as the chairs are comfy and I liked the slot game that I was playing. I grabbed ELVIS'S attention and asked politely if I could have another spicy margarita but in a to go glass as I knew it would be my last one before leaving the lounge. Instead of explaining politely that I wouldn't be comped for my last drink (since my machine had timed out) Elvis looked at me as if i was a vagrant trying to pull one passed him and he hissed " You will pay for this one!" I said okay (confused) and asked him why. Well that was a mistake because he snapped at me again and said ... "I have been watching you, I'm pretty observant and you and your friend have just sat here chatting for the last while and not gambling!" Elvis talked to me like me sitting at the bar was some big scam and I was doing something wrong ( guess he doesn't know the drinks at the regular machines are comp'd too). I actually couldn't care less about paying for a drink, that wasn't the problem. It was the way Elvis spoke to me. The conversation with him went on and just got worse to the point ELVIS walked away and then I was speaking with a female bartender who apologized to me on his behalf and said "its just his delivery". YIKES. No thank you, I left the lounge and will not return 100% because of Elvis. Earlier in the night we watched ELVIS be a jerk to a male who walked up to the bar with a drink in his hand and said to Elvis (politely I might add) "excuse me, is this drink you made me a double"? Elvis looked at him with this rude look and said " did you order a double?" the guy said "well yeah", and Elvis responded with "Then it is a double" and walked away after rolling his eyes. So if you end up in "The lounge" and you see Jim, or Taco.... stay. If you see a short angry bald guy sporting the name Elvis.... run away.
