The Lounge by Rolling Still Distillery

On our last night in Taos, we ventured out on a stormy night filled with lightning ⚡ strikes and downpours. Wifey was acting nervous and apprehensive as we sat in the car parked a half block away from The Lounge by Rolling Stills as sirens blurred and rain 🌧️. pouring down along with high winds. After about 20 minutes of waiting in the car it lightened up enough for us to literally run to The Lounge. To our surprise their were about 10 people there. Call us The Brave... Or crazies. Anyway we seated ourselves on an available couch. Nice and comfy and was immediately greeted by Tamara, our server for the evening. She was sweet and gracious and super attentive. After menu-ing we decided on a charcuterie board. Oh it was filled with all the goodies. The drinks came soon after. Old Fashioned Whiskey for me and wifey did the Moscow Mule and wine route. We had a great time chatting, and Tamara would come over and entertain us with stories related to things we were familiar with. They were also playing salsa music, most of the songs from my country of origin, Puerto Rico... The unofficial 51st of the USA. Citizens of this great country since 1917. Well it was a great night after all. Thank you Tamara for being such a great host. 5🌟 in any weather!

We visited the Lounge by Rolling Still Distillery after dinner. The drinks were handcrafted works of art that were beyond delicious. The staff are incredibly talented, knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must visit.

Had several great cocktails. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Cool space to hangout and enjoy your drinks.

We were walking around Taos at night and happened to stumble upon the Lounge. It’s a hip cocktail bar in a nice house with multiple rooms and various seating options, from bar seating to high tops to couches and comfy chairs, and a large courtyard outside. Their cocktails are 🔥, really high quality and creative. Ordered the margarita and the favorite child drink, both were great. Would recommend

Came to Taos for a concert stopped by the Lounge afterwards and had the best after party experience. They had a great staff very friendly and professional even though they were slammed all night due to the flow of concert guests and they had a live music of their own. Chris Brochu a local musician and artist who knocked it out of the park. We closed the place down and met a very personal able not to mention pleasant man named Scott we talked to him about many topics not only about himself the Bills, skiing, family and life great conversation wonderful grounded person. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully run into this great person again. Thanks You Scott.

Love the drinks and the atmosphere. Whenever we have friends in town we bring them here for cocktails. The specialty vodka is amazing, the red chile is my favorite, and the whiskey is delicious. Great staff all very friendly and an easily walkable location.

Best place to have cocktails and hand out with friends in Taos! They have different varieties of cocktails and some signature ones that I love them. It gets pretty crowded end of week that I like but the music band wasn’t good enough for such a place . I give them 4.5 ⭐️. Second night in row and I can tell Amazing drinks and customer service. I wish we had such a place in Albuquerque . Don’t forget to get bottled your favorite cocktail home! 🍸

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! The service couldn’t have been better (chill/not pushy at all but attentive when you needed something). And the cocktails were SO well crafted and very creative! We were lucky enough to stop in when they had live music playing and the guitarist was truly phenomenal. Great fun yet relaxed vibe. Can’t wait to go back!

Great cocktails and charcuterie. We hit this place late afternoon before their evening business picked up. Great place to just relax enjoy a drink and talk with friends.

A great vibe. Great service at the bar or sitting down. Very well made cocktails. Open later than normal for Taos. Of course that also means that it gets a bit crowded as other bars close up. One of the better drinking places in Taos.

I've visited this lounge a few times now and it's always a lovely experience. There is always plenty of seating inside and on the patio. Cocktails are both refreshing and interesting! Never thought I would enjoy a green Chile drink but I'd highly recommend theirs. It's a cool and casual ambiance with great service. Great for reading a book and enjoying a cocktail on the patio or going with a group of friends at night to unwind.

Was in town and was taken here by family. They had some great options they made me a gin mojito with fresh mint. Was an amazing gin and the drink was full of taste. I would recommend this place.

Stopped in to have a quick drink. Really cool vibe. The staff was super nice. We ordered the Breadsticks with Rosemary-Sage butter and a side of the Marinated Olives. Yum to both! For drinks we ordered a Fireside Old fashioned and a Campfire Cocoa. I definitely recommend those. Great vodka! A short sweet and to the vodka point menu was nice. They have a good selection of beer. They sell their vodka bottles there and have several varieties available. They are a bit pricy but once in a while it is nice to splurge. We will be back next time we are in the area.

We are in Taos for 1 night and wanted a drink after dinner. Stopped here sat outside and no one spoke to us for 20 min then we gave our drink order and then another 20 min and it was not crowded! We chose to leave

This distillery tour was fantastic. Our guide, the owner, was very friendly and informative. He shared with us the entire process of making rum. This was far from boring. He knows his stuff and is very good at making it interesting. You can see his passion in distilling by the way he presents it. This was definitely a learning experience and a lot of fun. The tastings were all good. He let us taste a variety of rums and a vodka and a whiskey. He showed how to detect different fragrances in the rum as well as picking out the different notes while tasting the rum. This was a very fun tour and I highly recommend even if you're not a rum drinker.

This place was recommended by one of our river guides. She wasn't kidding , the drinks were amazing and the service was welcoming. Taos sports some cool spots and doesn't seem to have a bad spot! I'm not a local but that means a-lot especially when you're visiting!

Amazing experience!!! Cute ambiance, delicious drinks and great company! We basically sampled the entire menu and can't wait to come back and do it again! Blake is a fantastic bartender who made us feel right at home! You can't go wrong with any of the cocktails. Every single one was amazing! Thanks so much!!!

We stopped in to the rolling still distillery on a whim. We had several of their cocktails and were treated to taste of some of their special whiskeys and vodkas. The bartender was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared a little bit of the history of this trendy little spot which is perfect for a relaxing drink in the afternoon or nightcap in the evening. Their whiskeys are amazingly smooth for ones that are so young. Their infused vodka is made for some wonderful signature cocktails. Highly recommend that you stop in and have a beverage at this cool little bar.

We decided to visit for a pre-dinner cocktail on Christmas Eve. The place was hopping. We sat at a two top in the back room. It was very full and there was live jazz music which enhanced the festive atmosphere. The seasonal cocktail menu had interesting selections and we both enjoyed our drinks; mine was the Afterparty which is a take off on a traditional espresso martini but taken up a notch. Pecan Vodka, Espresso liqueur, cold brew cream, chocolate bitters and lemon oil. It was a well balanced drink. I inquired about how sweet it was prior to ordering because I don't enjoy super sweet drinks. I was told it was not too sweet and it wasn't. It was really good. Hubby had the Enabler which had Los Poblanos gin, house made Chartruese, Lemon and Cherry Liqueur, with smoked rosemary. Hubby said it was really, really good and interesting, Noticed they had a poster which showed live music three to four nights a week. This is walkable from our house and so fun to visit. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great stopping point after a day of walking around and seeing all the sites. We came for one drink and ended doing a flight of vodkas before moving to the drink. Their margaritas are very good and I live their fresh ingredients and the spicy salted rims. The pours for the flights are small so you're not consuming a ton of alcohol. The green chili vodka was my favorite and I ended up buying a bottle to take home.

June 9, 2023 - Rolling Still Distillery and Lounge (Taos, NM) This is the spot to come for an afternoon/evening of refreshment and pleasure. Signature cocktails, flights, mixed drinks, beer, wine, cider, light bites, and on this Friday evening live entertainment. We found this to be a very relaxed place to hang out, with a cozy little bar with about six or so stools, a large plush couch with a few chairs and tables in the lounge area, and a comfortable patio seating area with couches, tables and chairs. It was a joy to meet our bartenders Darla and Hannah. We talked over the menu and decided on a Macho Mule for me and Lavender Drop Martini for my wife. Good way to start things off. Both drinks exceptional, made with Rolling Still vodka and lavender infused vodka. After enjoying those drinks with a small bowl of spiced nuts, we decided to do a couple flights, a flight of 4 vodkas for my wife and a flight of 4 whiskies for me. Glad we did. Those were all delicious as well. The vodka flight included green chili vodka, red chili vodka, lavender vodka, and pecan vodka. Each vodka flavor was true to the character you would expect. All were very tasty. The Whiskey flight included a local Taos Sidewinder 4.2, made by Ponderosa Whiskey Company, Taylor Garrett Bourbon out of Albuquerque, Big Nose Kate out of Santa Fe, and Colkegan Single Malt whisky made by Santa Fe Spirits Co. They were all very good as well. I especially liked the Colkegan Single Malt, which is a peated-malt Scottish-style whisky. You can't call it scotch unless it's made in Scotland. However, this American cousin was pretty darn good. There was one other whisky that caught my eye, the Taylor Garrett Rye out of Albuquerque. Zack, who I'm guessing is the owner, let give that one a try as well. Also very tasty. The vodkas were all $26 per 750 ml bottle. The whiskies ranged from $35 to $59 per 750 ml bottle. You get a 10% discount on bottle purchases if you do a flight. We decided to buy a bottle of the green chili vodka, lavender vodka, and the Colkegan Single Malt whisky. A guitarist showed up at about 6 PM; however, we were getting a little hungry at that time and decided to move on. Wish we could've stayed. Maybe tomorrow night. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Incredible cocktails! Creative and tasty. Comfy nooks to sit and sip with a companion, great staff! If you're looking for an after dinner cocktail this place can't be beat!

Our tour leader had a wealth of knowledge not only about his product, but background knowledge about the history of distillation all around. My husband enjoyed the multiple tastings and history behind those as well. Our experience was wonderful.

Very knowledgeable presentation and the tasting was great! We bought a bottle of the limited edition whiskey and he signed it for us, great experience.

Dope locally distilled vodkas and live music. cool spot to vibe on the main road and catch a feel for Taos. Really friendly bar staff and servers are a real plus.

Having been here twice now, I feel compelled to write about The Lounge. It doesn't open until 4pm, and so I walked around the plaza, walking in just a few minutes after 4. It seems that other people were also waiting for opening time, because when I came, they were already at near capacity. Cocktails only, don't come if you want a glass of wine or food. They offer some nuts to snack on, but this is strictly cocktails. But please don't let that stop you from this experience; their signature cocktails are incredible. So unique and creative, many different infusions, as well as classic cocktails. Service is prompt and the whole place is very clean. This place is a must for anyone who wants to try something different!

What a great and fun experience we had! The rum was fantastic and we learned so much! We will definitely be doing this again when we come back to Florida for another visit!

Fun little lounge the drinks were sooo good! The bar reminded us when we were in Japan. Very intimate and good conversation with the ladies behind the bar! I still want to know what 4 peppers were used in their simple syrup made for a tasty margarita!

Beautiful. Excellent location, and gorgeous decor. Visited Taos over several days and came a couple times. The cocktails are amazing, service was great. Between my husband and I, we tried most of their signature cocktails. Green and red chile-infused vodkas, lavender infusions, and tons of creativity. Beautiful patio area with flowers and lots of umbrellas. I can't wait to come back and see what else they come up with. Highly recommend if you're walking the plaza and want a unique cocktail. The Lounge just may be the best cocktail bar I've ever been to- It's the perfect mix of luxury cocktails with a funky & creative vibe! The drinks were amazing and the staff was super friendly. Really enjoyed sitting on their cute patio and enjoying the live music. I tried the Lavender Honey Drop and the Pondering Rosa - I would absolutely recommend both of them. Since they're a vodka distillery, their signature cocktails are primarily vodka focused but they have tons of other options for those who aren't huge vodka fans. My boyfriend tried the Root & Revel which was also amazing. I just stopped by while in town for Memorial Day Weekend, but this spot will certainly be a must visit every time I find myself in Taos.

Super cute place inside and out. The ambiance is very relaxed and almost reminded me of a European vibe. Lots of doggies on the patio which we loved. The drinks were delicious and the staff was personable and sweet. I would definitely come back here again when in Taos. I should've bought some vodka to bring back to ABQ with me!

The tour and tasting were very informative and so much fun! Everything we tased was delicious and we had kind of a hard time deciding what to buy to take home. Would recommend and would go again!!

Loved bumping into the beautiful cocktail lounge. Specializing in vodka infusions and craft cocktails, this little bar was the perfect spot to kick off our vacation festivities. Although it was snowy and cold outside, the ambiance was warm and inviting with blankets for your comfort and a great mixture of tourists and locals. If you're not feeling up to chatting it up at the bar, they offer cozy and beautifully appointed seating areas. Our bartender George was both knowledgeable and friendly and able to offer various libations based on our palates and even gave us a sample of some of their proprietary whiskey infusion. Trust me, this is the cocktail lounge you've been looking for.

I bought the green Chile bottle from Albertsons. I mixed the vodka green Chile on ice with limes and tajin. OMG best thing ever. Also I drank a bunch of them no hangover the next day. Grey goose at that amount makes me feel sick

Hands down one of my favorite places I've ever been too!! The drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is awesome! Greg and Amanda are amazing bartenders/staff. They can give you all sorts of recommendations. It was so good I visited two days in a row, (on a three day trip). Wish I lived there so I could be a regular. It was THAT good!

Friendly staff and fun drinks. They make their own vodka and others so they can play with it. I had the green chili vodka mule. Really liked it. The snack. Plate was very good and great combo. Also a great vibe and outdoor fire pits.

We were visiting Taos with some friends and were looking for a good place to grab some drinks and visit. Everything about this place was absolutely perfect. We were able to find a cozy spot for us to sit, the atmosphere was modern desert and very cozy. They played great and unoffensive music. We hung out inside, but the outside looked very fun too. And the patio was dog-friendly. Now, the drinks were absolutely fantastic. I had a honey thyme whiskey cocktail that I am still thinking about. Also, they have a carry out service for their drinks if you don't feel comfortable being out and about. You can buy a larger bottle of the mixed drink and take it home. I appreciate that they give customers options to enjoy their drinks. The cheese board was pretty good. It was just enough to snack on to keep us happy. I look forward to coming back here when we visit Taos again.

A special place to unwind and connect. Great service and laid back atmosphere. Had a mocktail and the wife had a flight. Shared a tasty charcuterie in the courtyard, met with lovely owners, Nicole and Liza, caught up with friends new and old, enjoyed live music by Lucy Barna & band. All in all a great night out!

Rolling Still hosted a private party for me and my husband, and it couldn't have been better. Amazing drinks, easy and friendly event coordination, great vibes. I can't wait to go back!

Really fantastic cocktails. They distill their own vodka and whiskey, both are impressively tasty. The vodka is perfect during your Taos visit as it is infused with local flavors such as red or green chiles, lavender, and sage. Very cool vibe inside, wish the bar was more big and roomy, but they have have some nice lounge seating. Defiantly worth the stop.

I like what they're trying to do. Love supporting local distilleries like this, so we will be back. But our drinks were very blah, I ordered a pear drink that had no flavor, my husband had the whiskey neat, no frills so we could actually taste their goods. Whiskey was soft, approachable, not terribly interesting. The server was extremely awkward and his attitude was kind of gruff. When we asked him for recommendations, he said he hated whiskey and didn't really drink...??? I'm fine with you not drinking but at least know your stuff at a local distillery you're representing. And he was super rude to the sweet musician, which is always a turn off. Bartenders were okay, not that friendly either (we started off at the bar) we asked them about the spirits and didn't get more than some grunts, and a couple of eye rolls from the young lady. Overall, not the greatest experience, but we love Taos so we'll give it another try when we're here over the next six months.

Get local vibe and the drinks are good too. Waitstaff friendly and helpful. Snack plate was tasty with a variety of items.

Perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail when in Taos. They have a nice variety of cocktails to pick from with lots of local flavor. I am a whiskey/bourbon type so I really loved the unique flavor of the sidewinder4.2 ponderosa whiskey- I had it in an old fashion but really just enjoy sipping it on ice as it is. They have small cheese plates to snack on while you people watch- also they do batched cocktails to go which is nice since Taos closes down a little on the early side. On my list to visit again!

My fiancé and I really liked this place! I don't know if it's COVID-related, but, many businesses in Taos have odd open hours and odd open days. Puzzling. We wanted to go to either The Treehouse Lounge or the Adobe Bar. Both were NOT open on Wednesdays. But, we stumbled on this bar instead. I guess they make their own spirits! We had delicious margaritas (if a bit pricey). A nice space, too. And good service.

We stopped by for a drink last April while in Taos. I still remember how much I enjoyed the easy rider and I regret that we did not bring home a green chile infused vodka. I guess we have to go back to Taos soon. The lounge has also very nice atmosphere and I would definitely like to revisit.

We had an absolutely amazing time here at The Lounge during a very busy Spring Break. The drinks were creative and delicious, and we could not have asked for better service from George and Sara. We will absolutely be back every time we visit Taos. This was a top-notch experience.

On my second night in Taos I am glad I found this place. It is a very relaxing place to enjoy some music and an Old Fashioned. I think this will be my Tuesday evening hang.
