The Love Loaf - Review - North Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Love is not the secret ingredient at this North Beach bakery. Who knows, it might be, but the most notable thing about The Love Loaf is that they mill their own flour on site. It’s a laborious process most bakeries opt out of, and you can really taste the extra effort in their sourdough and focaccia, which they offer as whole loaves, simple toasts, or in a selection of two- or three-ingredient sandwiches. The sturdy focaccia is excellent as the canvas for the bacon, egg, and cheese, whereas the croissants are fine, and the sourdough cinnamon roll could use more cinnamon. So stick to the sandwiches or walk out with a whole loaf." - Ryan Pfeffer

Long line due to the bread being fantastic. Long line because they allow for pushy people who are loud and rude to cut the line. Then the people who cut in line will buy out every item of the single item that you want to buy one of them. I get it, it is a great bakery. Still, if you can’t try the item that you want to try, I would just rather go elsewhere. And, I think you should too. Great food if you can’t try get what you can. I never do. So I stopped coming here.

Hands down, THE BEST croissant type pastry I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot! The orange cinnamon croissant roll thingy was PHENOMENAL!!! (See photo) Short line out front went fast. The shop is tiny so don’t plan on dine-in. We took ours to the park just a block north to sit and watch people exercise in their exercise class (ha - Suckers!) For reference, I very seldom give 5 stars ⭐️ Their croissant style products are TOP NOTCH!

Google
Became my staple local bakery, every week I buy my fresh sourdough bread from them. Also their pastries are a delicatessen would highly recommend trying their guava cheee pastry (my favorite) and their pistachio pain au chocolat which is to die for. Staff members are so sweet and helpful :)

Google
A new and undiscovered gem on Collins Avenue and 74th Street. The pastry is excellent, the bread warms in your mouth, the ordor is life perfume, and the service comes with a priceless smile. You can not do better, enjoy.

Google
Such a lovely little place - clean, cozy, and full of heart. The sourdough is absolutely delicious: fresh, crusty, and baked twice a day. They close at 3pm, so come early if you want the best selection. Prices are fair ($8 for a whole loaf, $5 for half), and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can really feel the love they put into their work. A true neighborhood gem I’ll definitely keep coming back to.

Google
This bakery is an absolute gem! I came here every single day during my trip—it’s that good. I tried so many of their pastries and honestly can’t decide which one is my favorite—they were all amazing. Perfectly flaky croissants, rich and buttery pain au chocolat, and incredible breads. The quality is top notch—better than anything I’ve had in France. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Plus, it’s in a great location. A must-visit spot!

Google
I was walking past the store and saw a long queue of folks patiently waiting outside to get in. That’s usually a sign of a great eatery so I got in the queue and it turned out to be a great decision. The pastries are amazing, the coffee was delicious, the fermented cakes were scrumptious. It is pricey but so is almost everything else in this area.

Google
The owner is the sweetest, everything is made in house and fresh. 100 recommend let the Owner tell you her favorites and take all of them home will come back ❤️

Yelp
Best bread in Miami usually sold out by 1-2 PM . Owner is very personable and makes it her point to talk with you .

Yelp
Delicious focaccia sandwich. You can customize it too. I added burrata pesto ham to it. Bread is made in-house. The pastries were already gone by the time I came so I'll have to come back to try them. Service was good too. :) Parking on the street was easy to find on a Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Cute bakery with fresh artisanal breads. Their coffee and chai is delicious and the bread is always fresh and soft on the inside. Love coming here on my walks on the weekend. Get there early to avoid any lines.

Yelp
Excellent little bake shop in the northern part of Miami Beach. We stopped in for breakfast and had a prosciutto and cheese sandwich as well as some Pão de Queijo (little cheese breads). Very good coffee selections as well. Went back to the counter for a sweet chocolate almond loaf slice to finish my coffee with. You can watch everything being made in house while you sit. The service was friendly and quick. I didn't get a picture but everything looked delicious. Use your imagination. :) Will definitely stop back in again while here. :)

Yelp
This hidden gem opened up a few months ago in north Miami Beach. Close to 74th and Collins passing Burgers & Shakes. Expect lines outside. You can smell a hint of fresh sourdough and delicious pastries once you finally get to enter. The sourdough was perfection. Also, I took home the focaccia bread, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant. The bread is so soft and moist in the inside. This is my new go to neighborhood spot. Love the changes that is bringing new businesses. Everything you get is snacking and you will want to keep coming to try it all! They do serve coffee as well!

Yelp
A+ for high quality attention to ingredients and preparation here! Everything else was meh. First of all, I think this place and the yoga center next door are a disturbing harbinger of bad things to come to North Beach. There was a line out the door and a LOT of douchey people patronizing this business. Do they all live in North Beach, or did the bat signal call them here? I almost feel more comfortable with the mentally deranged homeless people wandering around than the Lulu Lemon yoga ladies. If it means my home increases in value, I guess that's a good thing. The "ancient grains" are an interesting way to charge more for bread. I think the price is justified because those random odd grains don't have as long a shelf life as plain old wheat. Are they better than plain old wheat? IDK, as long as it's not Wonder bread, it's fine by me. The subtle nuances of most things organic, macrobiotic, farm-to-table and whatever the trend du jour is are lost on me. The pastries look beautiful; I do not eat pastry as I don't enjoy consuming buttery sawdust and then having the oil slick hang around inside my mouth for the rest of the day. Larry had an egg and cheese on a croissant, which we ate there. They have a small counter for dining in the back where you can get a front row seat to see the bakers in action. I found that very entertaining and the best part of the visit. The dining area is quite small; however, and there was a group of women sitting next to us TALKING IN ALL CAPS. Kudos to them for taking a risk in this area; they seem to have found a good following. I will enjoy eating the bread that Larry S. brings home from here in the future

Yelp
Super friendly team and easily the best plain croissant I've ever had. Warmed up, it melts in your mouth and has that perfect doughy pull. Definitely worth the stop.

Yelp
This place has only been open for a year. We loved our if Miami 3 years ago. I miss the Miami food scene - it's places like these that make it what it is. Yall, my advice to you is to make the line, it moves fast and when you get inside, TREAT YOURSELF. The most perfect salmon cheese and chives toast is here. THE CROISSANTS ARE INSANE. So SO BUTTERY, toasty and soft. The sweets are just as good as they look. I had to take a pause from eating to stop the tears from rolling down my face. Truly phenomenal.

Yelp
Organic and ancient grains milled in house and made daily.... This is one of my favorite places. The ingredients stay fresh, as they are constantly selling. The business seems to be nonstop whenever I visit. The people who work here are very kind. Yesterday, I took a loaf of protein bread into work for a breakfast meeting. No one ate the other food that was brought. Everyone at work went crazy for the loaf of bread. It was delicious on its own. It didn't even taste like protein. It just tasted like delicious, homemade bread! On my way home, I had to stop and buy a new loaf of bread for myself. I got the Kalmut which is good for the heart, apparently. I wish they had more promotions and sales, but they don't need to do promotions because I believe they sell out every day. It feels like a local, Mom and Pop shop because it is a local, Mom and Pop shop - very small, friendly, and cozy. I think they have the best ham croissants in Miami-Dade. The Pain au Chocolat is quite rich and delicious, as well as the pistachio croissant. The almond honey cake is my favorite fermented cake. I also enjoy the Pineapple cake. The only one I didn't go crazy for was the gluten free banana cake. It was the last piece so obviously it sold quickly. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as impressive as everything else in the store.

Yelp
Amazing Beautiful pastry Great service Lovely little bakery with top notch stuff Really a great addition to North beach area

Dwayne C.

Yelp
This place has the best pastries I have never had. I will try it soon though. Hopefully tomorrow. I am told it is great and the location is perfect. See you soon

Yelp
Cute little place. The servers are super friendly and happy to help. The food is delicious. All looks to be made in house.

Yelp
Yasssss for the sourdough movement!!! This cute artisanal bakery is in the middle of north beach in a cozy little shop that takes you on a trip to Paris when you enter through the doors. Greeted by a friendly staff (sometimes the owner) there are several different types of homemade pastries, different kinds of breads, and breakfast bites! There is something for everyone who wants savory or sweet. You can get a warm loaf of bread and a sweet treat for later! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! Pro tip, go early in the morning as they tend to sell out quickly. Oh and ask to have your loaf sliced so it's easy to snack on as you head home ;)

Yelp
I work next door so I was super excited for the opening of this bakery. I love that everything is made fresh daily and by hand. I went for breakfast so opted for the ham & cheese croissant. I did taste their bread and chocolate croissant and will be getting more of those goodies next time. They also have great deals that include a coffee of your choice. Come early since they do sell out by 2pm usually.

Yelp
Este lugar lo recomiendo mucho, tiene 100/100 Me encanto el ambiente, la comida espectacular, topo es delicio

Yelp
Great little place off the Main Street. Very busy but had the best pastries and service! 100% recommend stopping here

Yelp
I love this place for baked goods. They grind their own fresh wheat every morning and use it for baking. That's the best way to get the nutritional value out of your grain. They have a lot of delicious options and gluten-free cheeseballs. They also make their own nut milk, out of almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts. It's Quite delicious and creamy. I got a Matcha latte. The nut milk was delicious in it, but they did not put enough Matcha. It was quite weak.

Yelp
Love their variety of ancient grains... My favorite spell,... they also have delicious pastries Go early or the bread is gone

Yelp
Noticed this place recently while driving by and just had to stop in. I mean, just look at the name. So we stopped in and grabbed one of their last loaves of bread (it was towards the end of the day). It was wheat and we dig in as soon as we got home. And omg so delicious. So good in fact that we went back 2 days later to get another. This time spirilina and we tried three of their desserts: ricotta cake, a sweet potato and bacon pastry - kind of croissant-like, and this chocolate knot that kind of tasted like a babka. All were SO GOOD. My favorite was the ricotta cake. Just excellent. They have some menu items as well that I'll try next time.

Yelp
Cute space, went because we wanted a quick pastry, ended up buying 1 croissant, strawberry crème puff pastry, cinnamon roll, chai latte and hot chocolate. Out of everything unfortunately the only thing we liked were the cinnamon rolls. Maybe it was an off day. We will give this place another shot. It's cute seems to be ran by a family as the kids were working the register and making the drinks.

Matt L.

Yelp
One of the best chocolate croissants you will ever have! Service was friendly and fast, it's no wonder it was packed on a Wednesday morning.

Reave S.

Yelp
Morning bun was out of this world. Bacon egg and cheese croissant was also fantastic.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place near my go-to beach spot. I was keen to try it because there was a sign in the window that says they use organic and sustainable ingredients . I was immediately cheerfully greeted upon entering the shop. I originally came for a croissant but there was pan au chocolate that had pistachio on top. It was the last one so I needed to try it. It did not dissapoint. I also had a chai latte to go with it. The they use their own nut milk that has almond, cashew and hazelnut which is also delicious. The shop is comfortable that has a view into an area that they prep their bread. I will definitely be back the next time I'm at the beach.

Yelp
This little bakery and cafe has an assortment of delicious croissants....plain, almond, pistachio & chocolate, all flaky and mouthwatering. They serve delicious breakfasts and lunch sandwiches too. Everything is fresh! They are so good there is usually a line out the door, but worth the wait.

Yelp
FINALLY! north beach has a fantastic bakery. Not to throw shade on the great Latin spots we have here, but this is what we've needed. A mom and pop style delicious bakery with fresh treats daily. This little gem is a blessing to North Beach. There's often a line out the door and it's very apparent why. I buy my sourdough from here weekly. And my favorite items are their croissants (probably the best croissant I've ever had) and their sourdough cinnamon bun. Everything is perfection. I just wish they had a second cash register so wait times were less however, well worth the wait. Love you guys!

Yelp
I love Love Loaf bakery, it's one of the best bakeries in south Florida !!! I can't complain, the service is always great! Truly enjoy!
google avatar

Michael S. T.

Yelp
Food was good but they have a knack for getting the orders wrong. 3 different parties got missing items, etc.

I S.

Yelp
I love this place. The croissant is the best croissant ever and I've had them in Paris, this was warm, fresh from the oven! I saw people actually making the croissants- with lots of love. Definitely a five star review.

Luis A.

Yelp
It's a wonderful bakery by a husband & wife team. Amazing goodies, excellent quality, the bread is delicious and so are the pastries. It's get full early and they sell out so don't wait until near closing.
google avatar

Stella T.

Yelp
What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Fresh delicious bread & outstanding freshly baked treats! I picked up a blueberry cake slice this morning it was so fresh it melted in my mouth.
google avatar

Bob E.

Yelp
Ok, seriously, over $7 for a small sourdough baguette? In North Beach? And about 30% smaller than Zak the Baker in Wynwood which sells for $3? I just checked on the website. You guys need to watch the prices because people won't come if they leave feeling bamboozled. I'll be back support your quality product (those brilliant croissants!) but the price of your small baguette is way too rich for my blood (although, tbh, it's also too sour -- need to decrease fermentation). Just saying.

Fran R.

Yelp
Fantastic experience at The Love Loaf Bakery yesterday. The bread as always is fabulous but yesterday I ordered a sandwich for the first time and surely it will not be my last! I've been dreaming about it since Prosciutto with cheese, pesto and arugula on sour dough - great combination of flavor and texture. And the service people were very nice. Great neighborhood place.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Delicious sourdough bread and baked goods! I pre-ordered my multigrain sourdough loaf and picked it up Saturday morning. I couldn't pass up a fresh, out of the oven Chocolate Pistachio croissant and an iced Americano with their in house made nut milk. Everything was delicious!! The multigrain sourdough was a perfect balance of crunchy crust and moist and light on the inside. The price is unheard of in this town... $8 for an entire loaf! That's amazing for home baked goodness! I will be returning to this little gem in North Beach!

john m.

Yelp
This is a real local biz with exquisite pastry. These are real hardcore bakers. The owners are all so nice and we here in North Beach are so grateful they are here...Well except that one nasty lady who gives everyone bad reviews for no good reason.

marie d.

Yelp
I'm so happy to have this wonderful bakery in the neighborhood. You can taste the difference in all of their breads and pastries. Today I got a boule of the spelt bread (they sliced it ) and it was so soft and hearty tasting. We made sandwiches and Wow, took the sandwich to another level. The croissants are as good as in Paris. I also brought home a piece of carrot cake . Not too sweet , dense and delicious and you can actually taste the carrots. You can taste the love in every bite . Bravo love loaf! And their coffees are delicious too

M V.

Yelp
Found this place walking by it one morning. Now I go every other day . The baguette and croissant are as good as what you find in a great bakery in Paris . The guava and cream cheese croissant is delicious as is the chocolate croissant. Today I tried the chocolate pistachio croissant and it's out of this world . Everything looks amazing.
