Portland, Oregon’s 2024 Eater Award Winners | Eater Portland

"Cross a ’60s cocktail party with a tropical vacation and you’ll end up with something close to this next-door sibling bar to G-Love: tropical cocktails like the Fight Milk (rum, POG, lime, clarified milk) sipped under the bar’s palapa evoke a warm-weather getaway, while owner Garrett Benedict and his team craft an always-party vibe. Attention-grabbing flourishes include dim sum–esque bar carts that weave through tables carrying mini martinis, oysters on the half shell, and shrimp cocktail, plus a prime rib that arrives at tables bearing a lit sparkler paraded around the room." - Janey Wong

The food was fantastic, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great! I was actually on my way to a meeting in Loveland but I showed up early so I walked around for a little before. When I was walking around I passed this place and the sign said "sober bar!" So naturally I had to check it out gamma when I got into this place the vibe was perfect, music was good, they had an arcade, pool tables, a place for Dungeons & dragons, darts, a cloud lounge, and a DJ booth and karaoke! It was probably the coolest bar I've been too! When I come back here Ill definitely be dropping in again!!

This place exactly what Loveland needed. A lounge-bar experience and an excellent place to socialize without unhealthy alcohol. The wellness shots are delicious! And the drink options are numerous. Not just mocktails, but hot drinks, teas and N/A stuff, lots to choose from. 100% my new favorite spot to chill.

I have been a couple times and I was so excited to share with others. I brought my young adult children, all older than 18 except my 13 year old. The 13 year old was loving it! I was happy to have a sober safe place. We did the painting sip and paint. They were so respectful and grateful. I paid over $80 for the painting and then also drinks. At the end of the event I was helping clean up and they went downstairs to play pool. The staff Eliot was watching them on camera. The 18 year old vaped his nicotine down there and the worker told me. I immediately went downt here and addressed it. Made them all come upstairs and we left. At 12am that night the staff who saw the video sent me about 9 more videos of my kids down there and said they will never be allowed back. The 13 year old turned off the light gently with a pool stick. The 20 year old knocked down a few large wooden jenga blocks. That is all they did. This could have been addressed with a conversation and not banning them for life. The owner Hans did reach out and let me know it is only an 18 plus bar. All of them were 18 and up and the 13 year old did not do anything destructive. Let me be very clear no damage was done at all. Good luck to this place. Not very welcoming. Felt horrible and my family felt like criminals. We will never be back and will not recommend. Never bring kids or young adults near this place. I would have never known a place that has no alcohol would have a under 18 banned. But they also made it clear the older teens (18 plus would never be allowed back). I promise it was as innocent as I explained.

A true gem of an establishment. Cozy, fun, inclusive, and absolutely delicious! They offer so many great events that I can’t wait to attend. The mocktails were incredible and Han is so kind and fun to talk to. I loved it so much I came back the same night for karaoke and had an absolute blast. Loveland is so lucky to have The Love Shack! 😊

Thrilled to have found this spot. Mocktails are great and reasonably priced. There are monthly activities like sooner paint/sip and D&D. You can even rent a D&D room downstairs for $10/hr. Upstairs is bright, has the bar, and has some fun art. Downstairs is dark and has more activities Open at 9a and plenty of coffee/tea/morning options. Food sounds good and is reasonably priced Excited to make this a regular spot

I didn’t do much exploring since I was there for karaoke, but this is such a cool space from what I saw! Very inclusive and inviting, which is so important to have, especially right now. I came from Fort Collins, where the mocktail scene is not very great. I found the prices to be very reasonable! I got the Lavender Fog and the Escape. Both drinks were so good, and I can’t wait to go back for more!!! I definitely plan on being a repeat customer. Han and Elliot were both awesome!!

Came for coffee in the afternoon, came back from karaoke in the evening. This place has built itself up to be an incredible place, with great tasting N/A drinks, provided in a truly unique space. The multiple hangout spaces make this a place for all types to get away with friends or have a quiet place to themselves. Staff is great and welcoming, as well as skilled at putting together a delicious menu of drinks and snacks. Don't get over to Downtown Loveland, but this bar is a must visit, every time.
