The Best Burgers Minneapolis and St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"Not only is the Lowbrow a Kingfield staple with an extensive burger selection, but it also has monthly burger specials that refresh on the first of every month. But that’s not all. On Tuesday evenings the Lowbrow runs a date night promo — two dinners, two drinks, and one dessert (for the sharing!) for $45. Meanwhile, Sundays see half-priced bottles of wine. On Mondays, 10 percent of your check supports a different charitable group. What could make it more worth it to give a creative new burger a try? Online ordering is available." - Cinnamon Janzer

Google
Great spot in the neighborhood. Really solid burgers, and fries that don’t disappoint! Prices are fair, and some of the burgers are quite creative. Worth a stop if you don’t want to think too hard about your dinner

I walked by with my dog today, and they were so kind and let us chill on the little seating area out front. They even had a dog bowl for her! I came in craving a burger, but I asked about the pasta daily pasta special, and I am so glad I did! Hands down the best thing I ate all week! Homemade lemonade was so good too! Definitely a good selection of n/a and beers too. Service was great too. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
They typically don't take reservations but they did for our party of 12. I took my family there after we had family portraits done at the Lyndale Peace(Rock) gardens. Everybody loved what they got in the service was quick and so professional. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of service and food. A few of us got there specialty burgers. The basin chili is amazing and the chips that comes with her hot and crispy. Everything is amazing! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the food.

Google
Burgers, beer, and brunch: that’s their motto and it summarizes the menu accurately! We enjoyed this fun restaurant because the brunch was solid, and it’s located in a neighborhood that can desperately use some new brunch options. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly. We will be back soon!

Google
Fun neighborhood spot with great vibes inside. Burgers, Reuben, fries, and salad were fantastic. The pulled pork sandwich could have benefited from some additional sauce. Lots of vegetarian options available on the menu as well!

Louis J.

Google
Really loved their food. I had the Lowbrow Reuben with Pastrami and it was great. The sauce it came with and the fries were very good as well. The place is also very convenient as it is right along the Route 18 bus and just a 8 minute walk from the Route 11 and Route 46 bus and a 11 minute walk to the Route 4 bus. It’s also very convenient to bike to as it is close to the 46th street bike lanes and right along the Nicollet Avenue bike lanes and not too far from the 1st Avenue bike lanes and close to the protected bike lanes on 40th street and blaisdell Avenue

Google
I adore this place so much. This restaurant gives you the vibe that you want to live in this neighborhood just so you can be a regular. It’s adorable. Great service. Priced right which is hard to find. I’ve been here twice in the past two weeks. In town for work and I can’t wait to come back. Keep it up!

Google
I went to The Lowbrow for a late lunch on a weekday. I had burger with 1/2 fry and 1/2 side salad. The burger was phenomenal. I normally am not a huge fan of fresh cut frys but these were great too. My only complaint was the salad. It was just lettuce. No dressing or anything, just lettuce. Atmosphere was good and service was as expected.

Yelp
My Lowbrow review is long overdue. I have been coming here for years for classics that could be considered Americana cafe' comfort with a bit of churching up on the side. For sure my favorite time is weekend brunch when it is typically fairly busy so a short wait should be expected. But other days and hours also have their appeal. Later Happy Hour starts weekdays at 9p; Sunday evenings are 1/2 off bottles of wine, and Monday evenings are dining for a cause where some of their proceeds are donated to a worthy need. When you add in the always friendly servers and the consistently good eats, it's almost never a bad choice to end up here. There is a full bar and some reasonably priced bottles of table wine as well as taps and cans for the beer drinkers. Their burgers and sandwiches are consistently great as are the often perfect skinny fries or the homemade vinaigrette dressed greens that can come with them. It is those upper grade sides that sets a meal here apart from most other diner type cafe's. A pro order tip is their BLT that isn't even listed on the menu but I get it 80% of the time I'm there. It is one of the best in the City in my opinion. This hidden gem, deep into the Kingfield neighborhood has been consistently doing it right for over 10 years now. If I were asked what I would want them to do differently, I can think of nothing. It is a perfect representation of this cafe' food genre.

Yelp
I love lowbrow. The one thing I wish it had right off the bat is a bigger parking lot/space. Lowbrow is street parking and sometimes I have to park at least a block away. Not far at all but just letting y'all know. They don't have a button for the doors to open automatically. The restaurant is typically bustling with some outdoor seating options when the weather is nice. They have gender neutral accessible bathrooms. I've eaten dinner here and I like their dinner. However, I LOVE eating brunch at lowbrow. I get the truck stop sandwich with vegan patties and a side salad. It's delicious and filling. Their deviled eggs are yummy, and their pancakes are to die for. I get one as dessert and split it. & you can never go wrong with Peace coffee. I docked off a star due to parking and because it could be more accessible outside and inside the restaurant. Like if I could do a 3.5 I would. However, the food overall especially the brunch is 5/5.

Yelp
Stopped in for some dinner while in the area to try somewhere new. The aesthetics were pretty cool, and it definitely gave off local gathering place vibes. Everyone was chatting and seemed familiar it's each other. Such a positive atmosphere! The food was tasty and had generous potions for the burger and fries. It did take a while for it to come out though. The service was otherwise friendly and prompt. Would stop in again.

Yelp
What a great neighborhood spot! It seemed like almost everyone knew each other in here which made for a fun vibe. I sat at the bar and ordered a burger. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Especially for how they catered to the regulars, I still was not overlooked. Nice. The burger was amazing! The bacon fig jam with the cambozola cheese was an excellent pairing and elevated the burger well. The fries were fantastic. I kept thinking I'm full, I need to go, and I'd pop another fry in my mouth. Addicting! Definitely want to come back to try more items off of their menu. Trying to figure out ways to head to that part of town now.

Yelp
Me and my boys love The Lowbrow. They' think the best kids Cheeseburger is here so there's that! Today I got The Fire Breather which wasn't my favorite I've had, but still tasty. I'd recommend the Americana or Royal Jam burgers. Service is always good. Almost too good. The waters are always refilled frequently, and staff make sure to check in. Overall nice bar feel and neighborhood spot to stop in and give a go.

Yelp
One of my new favorite breakfast places in town! A nice cozy but still hip brunch ambiance, will definitely be back for dinner sometime too. Plenty of street parking, plus single-stall bathrooms! I started out with a peach iced tea ($3.25)--I think this may be one of the first places I've found with an unsweetened fruit tea before, which was so refreshing and had just enough peach essence to have flavor to it without feeling overpowering or artificial! I got the jalapeño hash ($15.25) with bacon added (+$3) and the eggs scrambled, at the recommendation of our server--normally I'm usually an over-easy enjoyer myself but scrambled was totally the right recommendation for this since the sour cream made it plenty sauce anyway! Great flavors, and the cooked jalapeño was DELICIOUS. I also got a single raspberry pancake ($5.75) on the side, which was also perfect--not too sweet or moist, with the perfect amount of fruit inside. Even though the food was great, the best part of this for me was our server Dominic--when I had no clue what to order, he recommended that hash (with customizations) with a QUICKNESS (after making sure I was a spicy/savory enjoyer first), and I literally never had to ask for an iced tea refill--normally, I feel annoying asking beyond the first refill, but he was on TOP of it, even with the place being as busy as it was! Loved the food here, and will be back quite soon to try any of the dozen menu items I was torn between today.

Yelp
Some friends and I came here after a yoga class because we wanted to hang out longer, and it was a great choice! We were in between meals, but it was the weekend so still had a pretty steady lunch crew inside. We opted to get snacky things to share, like fries and fried pickles. All were great and easy shareables. I got a root beer float as well which hit the spot. They offer burgers, soups, salads, and sandwiches - and even have a dog treat menu item. Our service was personable and friendly, and we were well attended to. The ambiance inside feels like a classic neighborhood joint and I loved that!

Yelp
Great service and location. Buzzy vibe with a lot going on, so it's a little loud. I ordered their Veggie burger it was good, but could have done with more seasoning/salt. The same goes for their fries, but they give you a TON of fries as well which is nice
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Great burgers and fries! Lovely neighborhood joint with creative weekly specials. Such cute and inviting, casual decor with warm and friendly service. I hope to come back soon for their Happy Hour deals! Don't skip on the skin-on FRIES! They are delicious. Burger of the Month: Niman Ranch Beef with sautéed honey crisp apples, bacon, maple mustard sauce, and Gruyère cheese.

Yelp
I had the pinto and quinoa burger and wouldn't mind having it again and again and again and again. It was SO good and well spiced. It did fall apart a bit while eating it, but that's just bean-patty life. The fries were awesome and the side salad was basic but fresh. I also had a few bits of the fried tofu sandwich and it was good, but I thought the pinto and quinoa situation was way better. The server was nice and the beer selection decent. I would 100% come back here.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, but ultimately found it to be average. The decor is very cute and it's a very laid back vibe, but it is also very cramped space. The two people are the host stand weren't exactly welcoming. We almost felt like a bother to them. That said, the bartender was nice, and our server was great. We enjoyed our bloodorange mimosas! The cranberry mimosas definitely had a holiday day feel to them, we thought we tasted maybe some nutmeg and cinnamon. Not my favorite but still enjoyable. We both enjoyed the deviled eggs! Why don't more restaurants have those! I had the chorizo breakfast tacos. They were very generously topped with guacamole (not my favorite) and salsa (very good), and some sour cream. The poor corn tacos didn't stand a chance and this definitely required a fork! Overall they were pretty good. The herb roasted potatoes could have used more herbs, but were well cooked. My friend had the Lowbrow classic and she enjoyed it as well especially since the default break choice was sourdough. Overall we paid $100 but about half of that was for the four mimosas ($9.95 a piece). By the time we were finishing, people were ordering lunch, and some of the burgers and sandwiches I saw go out, looked amazing! Our coffee and waters were kept full (though there were lipstick marks on my cup). Parking was a bit of challenge with the snow and being in a large van, but it seems that there is street parking available on the surrounding streets.

Yelp
This is my neighborhood go-to place. I love the burgers, but it doesn't stop there. If you haven't tried the pulled pork nachos (yes, add the guacamole) then it's necessary you do. If you want something different, I he homemade fish sticks with those great fries are tasty. Then there is always the pasta of the day. Restaurant does a great job catering to different appetites. I find my self at the bar often and appreciate the beer selection and remembering that, yes, I owned that baseball card at one point.
google avatar

Carolyn S.

Yelp
This is the definition of a neighborhood spot. Great vibe, down to earth service, quality food. I feel welcome and always glad I came!
google avatar

Greg W.

Yelp
This is a nice, small neighborhood bar with a surprisingly great vegetarian menu for a burger-centric place. It's a small dining room and only a couple sidewalk tables so they fill up pretty quick. The service was good but I suspect they were understaffed since it took a bit between visits. Went for their date night special and it's a decent deal if you were going to order 2 beers and a dessert anyway. Normally I wouldn't get a beer or dessert so it ended up being pricier than our normal dinner. The tempeh Reuben was decent, and I'm just happy to find a meat-substitute Reuben since they're pretty rare. I love tempeh but this patty was kind of bland and the kraut didn't have much kick to it. Overall it was ok but I don't think I'd pay that price for it again without some punchier flavors. Tofu sticks are good but not strongly flavored. The bbq sauce is necessary. Book Club has better happy hour ones for $5. The peanut butter pie was insanely rich, but tasty. Pro tip: they serve it straight from the fridge so it's too cold. Give it 5 minutes to soften up and that PB flavor will pop. Also recommend sprinkling a pinch of salt on top. Overall it's an ok spot for post work beer and I wouldn't be upset about going back. Great if you live nearby but probably wouldn't make it a top choice.

Yelp
Stopped at the Lowbrow again recently and got the beet salad again (obsessed) and the Royal Jam burger. That burger was so good. I am already thinking about when I'll go back for seconds. I also discovered the small parking lot in the back - nice.

Yelp
This is my best friends and I's go to restaurant in Minneapolis when we are in the mood for something that hits the spot but doesn't break the wallet. You really can't go wrong with anything here but I'll explain my favorites. For appetizers - their fried pickles are on another level. They are crispy, non greasy and come with a side of delicious chunky ranch. Our favorite entree would be the basil walnut pesto melt. It is utterly divine. The extra crispy sourdough bread is spread generously with their homemade pesto and filled with tons of melted cheese. For extra protein I usually add chicken instead of turkey. Their fries are crispy and fresh. Service is really good, the prices are a steal.
google avatar

Tori S.

Yelp
A great burger selection outside of just a cheeseburger. The Highbrow burger with melted brie was *chef's kiss*. I got the burger with a side of fries and "side" is more like an appetizer. You get enough to easily share with someone who orders the salad with their burger. Four of us split a slice of the stout chocolate cake. It was a pretty good slice of cake and gave us all our sweet fill. The servers were attentive. They were quick with filling waters, and didn't kick us out when we were busy chatting away. The painted mural and quiet (but not so quiet it's uncomfortable) makes this place a nice hang out location. It's street parking only. I was able to find a spot on 43rd; which wasn't too bad of a walk.

Steven W.

Yelp
Service wasn't terribly friendly or efficient. Food was pitiful. The cod in the tacos was the size of a cooked Jimmy Dean pork sausage link. Tiny. And it was way overdone.
google avatar

Rodrigo F.

Yelp
My wife really enjoyed their chicken salad burger. It looked tasty. My American Burger was okay. I guess I expected than more flavorful, me was a bit bland. Fries were a bit over cooked and bland too. They were okay. Service was great, friendly and quick --concise. The environment was cool and trendy and artsy but with the right feel, not over doing it.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome burgers. I had The Lowbrow bookmarked for a while and wasn't intending to stop here for lunch, but our original spot planned was closed, it worked out perfectly. My husband ordered the special, I have no clue what was on it. I have a bad memory and I also had a cocktail during lunch on an empty stomach so I definitely don't recall everything, but I was happy with both burgers. I'm sure it had guacamole...ok, I don't know, but that thing was not lacking in flavor. I ordered The Highbrow, the fancy pants version because I'm a fancy pants woman. Melted brie, caramelized onions, field greens, and roasted garlic aioli. My burger unfortunately came with a hair, it wasn't super hot either, but the servers were so apologetic and friendly. Mistakes happen and they made it right. They brought me new burger, which was hot, the cheese was melted and gooey, and they sent us home with dessert. Great food, even better service.

Yelp
Another weekend, another brunch review. Sometimes you have to go low brow and when you do, head to south Minneapolis, you won't be disappointed. Located in south MPLS on Nicollet between 42nd and 43rd across the street from Revival (get some fried chicken after brunch - yes please!), there is plenty of on street parking for free but it can be a little busy on Nicollet so I recommend parking on a side street and stretching your legs for half a block. Lowbrow isn't the largest restaurant so a reservation helps but it is a busy, neighborhood place and expect a wait. There's also bar seating which is FCFS and the bartenders are great! As for the food - we ordered the Bacon Scallion Scramble which comes with toast and choice of potatoes (can't go wrong with either hashbrowns or herb roasted potatoes (think Rosemary). Jacki ordered the fried egg sandwich which is a very nice sandwich that comes with bacon, spinach, tomato and I recommend the spicy mayo. A single pancake costs $4 and is worth it! Don't forget to order a bloody or some Peach coffee and that's a brunch with a 4-star review on Yelp IMHO! We'll be back (actually, we went twice in two weeks).

Cheryl P.

Yelp
meh, it took over 40 minutes to get our food. We watched patron after patron get their food, and they came after my party of five. we were told that hamburgers took more time. The tofu tacos weren't luke warm. The chicken salad was bland. the fries looked like the leftovers from a larger fry order. Don't understand the great reviews, which is one reason why I tried this restaurant. Don't plan on going back! Ambience felt like a sports bar.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
Wow the food was incredible. We loved the burst of flavors, the way the eggs were cooked, the sauces, cheeses, and the pancakes were so fluffy. It hit the spot! We also felt like the service was very friendly and attentive. Also the ambiance was nice and we loved the murals. I would like to go back and try more from the menu!
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
My family & I went here for brunch today and it was a great time! We didn't have to wait very long for a table of 5 on a Sunday at noon (which is impressive) and all of the staff were very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food and the overall atmosphere was great.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I was there for lunch with a group, service was very professional and efficient. , A nice spot for a group, they accommodated with a long table, and music was at a good level for conversation, Food was solid, a bit on the pricey side, I thought, but probably in line w other Nicollet Ave eateries. Worth a visit for a good burger. .
google avatar

Mikayla K.

Yelp
This place was such a hidden find! My boyfriend and I came here on a whim looking for some food nearby on a Sunday afternoon. The tofu tacos were absolutely amazing. They were crunchy and flavorful. I had the pesto melt with turkey and it was satisfying, hearty and delicious. My boyfriend got the basil tomato chicken sandwich which was equally tasty but not too heavy. I've already been back once for brunch which was equally satisfying. Also a huge plus that they have THC seltzers here!
google avatar

Kay K.

Yelp
Tuesday is date night where $40 gets you 2 beverages (wine, soda or sangria), 2 entrees and 1 very generously sized dessert. It's such a great deal!! It's rare to find restaurants who offer reasonably priced meals anymore. The Lowbrow doesn't charge extra for credit cards, mandate a wellness fee, or any sort of additional gimmick that we're seeing other places implement. Burgers are the standout here and do not disappoint. A special shout out to The Royal Jam burger - a generous slathering of bacon fig jam was a terrific sweet and savory combo.

Ingo S.

Yelp
Food was disappointing. The lettuce on the burgers was not fresh, burgers overall were not that good. Nachos were good, French fries were good. "Homemade" fish sticks were sus frozen would have been better. Won't be back just my opinion..
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
We love The Lowbrow! Consistently delicious! Juicy burgers, tasty fried pickles and else.

Yelp
We love the Lowbrow. The food is amazing and the staff is great! They also do a great weekend brunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this cute little place that I had to come back again! The spicy margarita is perfect and not too sweet, half order nachos are more than they appear to be and the Smokey salsa is so freaking good. Bar tender very attentive.

Yelp
Ahhh...Valentine's Day 2024. My wife and I thought we enjoy a simple dinner at home with wine so we each ordered The Lowbrow Grilled Cheese. Traditionally, it's great...with bacon, avocado, tomato, Wisconsin cheese or a variety of extras you can indulge...but this time it was well below expectations and past experience. They used a fraction of the cheese they usually use...perhaps 1-slice. The two sandwiches differed greatly in size and the "extras" seemed to be added sparingly. To add to this disappointment, this simple "to go" meal took 2-hours to make (online order) and was 15-minutes late. The restaurant was 1/3 full so I can only speculate there may be a manpower issue because this was not our normal experience. One additional oddity was that recently on Super Bowl Sunday, we were entertaining and planned to order a bunch of their nachos plates as they really make a great plate of nachos with extras....but to my surprise, website ordering was down. I called and the voicemail said we reached them "after hours" and not to leave a voicemail. It was the middle of the day. Out of curiosity, I tried to place an order on the next day...Monday and it was the same thing so I asked the host if they were closed those days and the response was YES....because Sunday was the Super Bowl and Monday was an employee party. There was no mention of this on their voicemail or social media. It seems weird that on one of the biggest "at home" foodie days (Super Bowl), they would be closed. Perhaps they could have put that on their social media. IG posts are 3 years old and FB post not up to date. This used to be a great place for a burger, nachos, etc.... BTW....the host was wonderful and attentive so that was a positive.

Yelp
I can't explain how great of a Sunday breakfast/brunch meal we had here a few weeks back. One of our friends suggested the place and when we got there were we were blown away by the menu and the servers and the vibe. Definitely try the Elvis sandwich as I hear he liked pb & j

Yelp
Bacon Scallion Scramble my go to Dom the best for server Sat Sun busy nice noise people getting together!!!

Yelp
I had come to the Lowbrow with a few friends for a late night dinner on a Friday night. The food was good - I got a burger and it was a pretty delicious meal. We got fried pickles for the table and they were so crispy with ranch to dip them in. Even the people who despise pickles were enjoying them. The place is a little on the loud side. I felt like I had to speak at a normal than louder volume to be heard from across the table, but that could also just be due to it being a Friday night. Good place with good food!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
We had Mother's Day brunch here and it was excellent! I opted for French toast. The rest of the family had some version of the Lowbrow classic. We all loved our meals. Everything was served hot and cooked just the way we wanted. Since it was a special occasion, we also decided on starting the meal with a Mimosa. We had two MOTD Blood Orange options and one basic orange (and one no-alcohol). Very tasty as well. We all decided we'd like to come back for dinner and beer in the near future. Nice sidewalk table options. Inside is quaint. Service was good. Nice experience.
google avatar

Yelp
It's hard to find grass fed meat at restaurants these days but the Lowbrow has the goods! My burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were amazing too.

Yelp
This is an update to my earlier review: I was introduced to The Lowbrow by my son, who lives in the Uptown Neighborhood. It checks all the boxes for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. The decor is home-grown, but cozy and comfortable. The menu is ample and on Sunday, brunch is served into the afternoon hours. I initially had the Un-American Burger, which were two thin "Impossible" burgers with all the condiments you would wish for. A side of fries, fruit or salad are available. Many excellent appetizers also. Service is excellent and there is no undue waiting even when the restaurant is quite full. Food is served hot and plenty of it. Prices, for an urban restaurant, are quite good. I probably would have given the restaurant five stars, but there is no restaurant parking, only street parking, which has, so far, not been a problem - and there are no meters. A few days later I took my wife here, and she had a similar reaction to me. Comfortable, good food, and so very nice to experience a home-grown neighborhood restaurant and not a national chain (ugh). We have to drive from the north county to go here, but it's definitely worth it. Afterwards, a visit to the Mpls Art Institute. As with all good reviews, I just hope that service, food quality, waiting time, do not deteriorate. Good reviews can be a two-edged sword.

Peter S.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 6:30 for a table of 8 - called 45 minutes prior to reservation time. Our group had an event to get to filling our meal. When we arrived the check in person said we would have to wait. I asked how long - response- "I don't know " I asked what was the point of my making reservation- ho boy - that set them off!!! Said they would get manager. Pretty much same response. Just incredibly rude! Well eventually we got a table and the waiter was very disrespectful. My dish, pesto pasta was very oily - clearly microwaved prior to being served. Dreadful. I certainly won't be returning. If you care about good food and a professional wait staff - give this place a miss.
google avatar

Lorraine T.

Yelp
Never have I had homemade fish sticks, but can't wait to have them again. Just excellent and the fries were crispy and salty...bonus points for that
google avatar

Rowan H.

Yelp
Not many people, pretty calm. Had the fish tacos, which were not very flavorful, but I ordered a lot of stuff off of it. Fried pickles were good. Pop was not very carbonated, but obviously it didn't take away from the experience. Probably wouldn't go again, but that's just me.

Yelp
Oh My Goodness - Yes Yes a Thousand times Yes. Great food and a great vibe. The burgers are mighty fresh and served with a terrific choice of accompaniments. My salad was as fresh as can be with delectable bacon and smoked turkey. The fries were unbeatable but the best part of all (besides excellent service) was the after dinner pie. Homestyle flaky pastry crust with juicy fruity blueberry and cherry filling. I imagine dessert is always different bit this was heavenly. Kudos all around.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Update on my previous review. We started out at four stars. Based on their inconsistency of their cooking and just not being able to find a balance with ordering a burger and what temp to expect the patty to be cooked at I had to bump them down to three stars. And then the next day set in..... in the middle of the night I got sick from their beef as well as my wife, thus the two sad stars. Usually even if beef comes rare it still won't make you sick, so this tells you a lot about their beef.
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
We go here often. The service is relaxed and professional. I always get a burger and it's always good. It doesn't matter if you dine outside or in. The only drawback is that there's sometimes a wait for seating. But it's rarely very long. Lowbrow had become my go-to haven for a good burger.

Nick B.

Yelp
The best restaurant south of 30th Ave in all of Minneapolis, probably even more. Have been here tons of times and have literally never had a bad experience whatsoever. The servers give the best service of any restaurant I've been to, and the food is just as good to boot. A must-go for foodies in the Twin Cities area. Check them out! I recommend the Elvis sandwich.

Tia J.

Yelp
We didn't take any pics because we were too excited to eat! Deviled eggs and the best jalapeño poppers I've ever had! The burger special was a delicious take on buffalo chicken, but with beef. Yummy!

I was hoping to give this place a higher review but perhaps I should have ordered my classic mushroom and Swiss burger. I got the highbrow burger, which my server said was her favorite. It's complimented with Brie cheese and carmelized onions. I asked to make it spicy so she recommended jalapeños. I would have thought the jalapeños were cooked or charred a bit, but they weren't. The burger itself was decent, but not "THAT burger" I've been looking for still or "oh my gosh it's so good I can't stop." I ordered a salad as my side, but I still wanted to try these fries people were raving about, so I got a side of them too. ;) Served with pesto aoli and spicy mayo. The fries were decent, a little salty along with the pesto aoli, spicy mayo just regular. I ordered the bison chili, expecting that to be my appetizer, but it was served with my meal. I was very disappointed in this, I'm someone who likes my hot food HOT and the chili was warm at best. On top of that, it was nothing special at all. I personally make better chili at home so won't be ordering that again. I will return to try the mushroom Swiss burger and hoping it will be better. My server was great and I was sat on the patio right away.

Yelp
This restaurant has become one of my favorites in Minnesota! The servers are very nice and they enjoy talking to their customers. The food is extraordinary and they always have a variety of home made cake or pie. It can get very busy here, so I recommend doing a reservation :)

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been here a few times, and it's been great each time. The food isn't like ~amazing~, but it's good. My boyfriend is very picky and he raves about this place. The bartender that we've had is so so nice, he is quite talkative if you want to talk. They show sports on the tv (which, again, adds to why my bf loves it) but it's not overwhelming like some places. Overall, I recommend this restaurant and I'll keep coming back!
