The worker put the person in front of us’ protein in our rice bowl. She scooped it off of our rice when she realized, putting it into the correct bowl. But she did not get us a new bowl of rice. OR even offer to. Luckily, the person in front of us was a coworker so we did not mind. And luckily we didn’t have a shellfish allergy (since it was shrimp). But this is something that we may have been upset about under different circumstances. A message to the workers: Please be mindful of this in the future. Working in the food industry, I know not everyone is as forgiving as us. And allergies are a life threatening thing to consider.

Google
Tried the regular sized poke bowl (which is actually quite big in quantity). The Bootea rice is pretty flavorful. The number and the quantities of toppings are pretty good. I could taste the freshness of each of the toppings. This Poke bowl is amongst the top ones I have had. The service is top scale as well. They have a pretty decent bar as well and a good selection of drinks.

Google
So flavorful with so much texture. One of the better meals I’ve ever had. So much variety in the flavor and texture it’s truly marvelous. I didn’t think it could get better than Pokeworks but this place is so good. So delicious. Check it out

Google
This is my husband & I’s go to Poke place!!! Every time we have to drive down to Dallas this is our ~spot~ either going down or coming back because we literally get cravings for this poke place. It’s a cute little fast casual spot but the quality of the food here is beyond that of any other poke places & trust me… we’ve tried PLENTY. They have a very decent protein to bowl ratio, the sauces are so very flavorful (plus they give you the freedom to mix and match sauces), the toppings are always fresh & given in abundance. At the very end you are left with a bowl piled high packed to the max with ingredients, textures and flavors. Always happy to visit and always leave very full & happy that we came.

Google
Good poke joint with friendly staff. The poke burritos were interesting but a bit difficult to eat compared to a normal bowl. Spicy Cheetos on the outside definitely made for a nice texture and flavor though! Shrimp pasta was good but basically like garlic noodles. Wish they had the uni pasta as that's why we came but they didn't have uni in stock.

Google
Food was great even with some options out. The poke bowl I got was great. Would have loved to try the Sashimi dish, but sadly, it was out. The server was nice and attentive

Google
Such a good price for a poke bowl with 3 proteins!!!! They add as many toppings as you want and aren’t shy with the sauces. The inside is super clean with a cool bar & the staff is very friendly. Will be returning!!!

Google
Not your average poke! Cozy atmosphere with such a variety to choose from with a full bar right inside. Easy take-out or dine-in. If you're feelin' poke, go for it but I actually really like the Uni Pasta with a splash of their spicy lava sauce on the side. Their spicy mini tacos and fried salmon belly is pretty tasty too. Check em' out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Highly recommend the sushi tacos for sharing; while I could finish all three by myself, I was definitely stuffed afterwards and not feeling amazing considering the taco shell is a deep fried sheet of nori (not complaining, but just be wary it's a heavy meal haha). Staff was super nice and one employee checked up on us and refilled our cups of water which was a pleasant surprise (I feel like at poke places it's typical to just order, sit down, and be left alone like at other counter style restaurants). Plenty of seating and overall chill atmosphere. Oh, and a speakeasy attached...

Max K.

Yelp
This place is a great little stop for an easy meal. The staff are very friendly and the food is good.

Yelp
Lowkey Poke is a very unique poke spot. They know how to level up a poke bowl. They have the option of Green Tea Infused Bamboo rice, which I enjoyed. If you're unsure, you can do half/half of a different base such as regular jasmine rice or salad. They had the typical poke sides, and fun names for their sauces. Can't go wrong with "Shoyu the Way". I was at first skeptical about the cheeto crumb toppings but I got it on the side and would soooo recommend trying it! In their menu I saw they were pretty creative with food options, such as sushi tacos, sushi burrito, they'll even cook your poke if u want lolll

Tanera J.

Yelp
This is a review for the sushi tacos only! As this is the only thing I've tried off the menu so far and I'm already hooked. I got two salmon tacos and one tuna. Omggggg. I'm already just a sucker for sushi and poke and anything sushi/sashimi related so I knew it was going to be good but idk it would be this good. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The salmon and tuna were perfect bite size pieces. Flavorful. Perfect temp. The tacos are also huge and it took me a while to take all three down. I literally thought it was the perfect meal. Crunchy, a little salty, refreshing. The fact this place is also right up the street from me is dangerous. I plan to be here a lot this year. Also the staff were very friendly and the restaurant was amazingly clean. Cute and small inside. I like the vibes a lot. They also have a few cute tables and seats on the front patio area to enjoy the outdoors when it's pretty again

Gena D.

Yelp
Such a cute lunch spot! There are so many options to choose from, and evidently, they're all delicious. I was expecting the sushi tacos to be greasy, but they were perfect with the amount of rice and protein. Fried green beans were good, and the truffle fries were very crispy. I didn't taste much of the truffle, but that's fine for me since I don't like it when the truffle flavor overpowers the whole dish. The service was also great. My friend doesn't like eating raw fish so they cooked the salmon for her. Will definitely be back to try other items

Bridget B.

Yelp
The Lowkey Poke Joint is my go to spot any time I'm in the Addison area! Coming from Chicago where Sushi-rritos were very comment, Dallas has been a let down in the sushi realm but especially the sushi-rrito category BUT LOW KEY POKE JOINT SAVED THE DAY! Their WasabiRito & Hot CheetoRito are our go-tos but I'm confident that the other menu items are just as great based on what I have seen other guests order. The fish is fresh, the flavors are the perfect balance of flavor without being overpowering, and the rice to filling ratio is PERFECT! In addition to the food, the staff is always friendly and attentive. As a whole, it is a smaller location; however, I have never had an issue finding a seat as there is a good combination of dine in and to-go customers. (Also, there is a speakeasy connected to the restaurant...shhhhh)

Frank S.

Yelp
We'd like to suggest a name change. Instead of Lowkey Poke, a more appropriate name might be the Pokey Lowkey!!! The location of the Lowkey Poke is incorrect on the maps program we were using. So after 15 minutes of walking around we finally arrived. We should be grateful for the exercise, but I think our hunger was past that point. The place looks nice enough, a couple tables inside and out... and a bar. I've never eaten poke and had a drink at the same time, but perhaps this is a new thing? When we get there we stand in line and are noticed by the worker who is assembling 9 (NINE) poke bowls. Does she tell us she'll be right with us, does she set our expectation on time, does she put us at ease and say she'll fit us in before finishing all 9 (NINE) bowls? Nope! Not a word... Instead, she painfully slowly, as if this was a comedy show or if there was a hidden camera to see how we would react, she continues to assemble one bowl after another at an excruciatingly slow rate of speed. If you weren't so pokey we would have tried your place, but before we starved to death we decided to leave and just go to our standby. Bright side? You won't be rushed at Pokey Lowkey!

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our bowl and burrito from here! I ordered a burrito wrapped in Cheetos sauce that was something different. I enjoyed it but I think I would've preferred a bowl. My sister really enjoyed her bowl and since this might have been her first time having one she's ready to go back for more! You can add two types of fish to your burrito and bowl and most of the toppings are included. Only 3 toppings cost extra. If you can a bowl you can choose from two types of rice, white and the other one we think might have been made with cilantro. They have seating inside and outside. There is also a bar area which seems odd. Maybe it becomes more of a restaurant at night. The menu online is also far more extensive than what's posted inside.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today, wasn't too impressed. Customer service left something to be desired. Only 1 girl working the line , and she wasn't friendly. Only 2 guys in the kitchen. And I feel like it's overpriced. $7.99 for truffle fries is outrageous to me, especially because I didn't see anything truffle about them (forgot to take a picture). I asked what the white sauce was on the fries, and the girl said it was sour cream, which is very odd to me. I would've thought it would be Japanese mayo. $6.99 for 2 small musubis. We are from Hawaii, and my daughter is very picky about her musubi, and she said it was the best musubi she's had since we moved here. I got the regular poke bowl for $15.95, and it was good. The ahi is definitely not the same quality as we get back home, but that's to be expected. When I sat down, I looked up at the menu, and I saw that you could get 3 proteins, I wish I would've noticed sooner bc I feel like I didn't get my monies worth. it would've been nice if the girl would have gone over the choices with me, or simply said what proteins would you like, you can have up to 3. They charge $1.75 extra for avocado. A fountain drink was $3.50, but it was jumbo size. Not a lot of drink options, and no Hawaiian Sun can juice like a lot of other Hawaiian , Japanese , Poke places have. So all in all , if my family wanted to go back , I would join them , but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Umm... I eat a lot of Poke and tried many places. This Poke joint is a must try. They have green tea infused rice that takes on a cilantro/garlic flavor and adds beautiful color to your poke bowl or poke burrito. They even have something called Poke Pizza which is very popular. The service is excellent and both a great experience dining in or to-go. I love that they offer the option of cooking the poke for you in case you aren't a fan of the raw stuff. Ambiance is pretty casual but nice. Can catch a game or just come hang out and play an arcade game or two as well. Lowkey needs not to be so low key because it's amazing. Give them a try!

Suzanne B.

Yelp
there was only one person behind the counter. She was taking all the orders, making all the orders , cashiering for all the orders. Needless to say the food took forever to come out. You could not get refills on your drink because she was too busy trying to help other people. Hot food did not come out. It would just sit on the counter because she was too busy to bring it out to the table. I was so disappointed. The chairs are so tiny and uncomfortable at the table. Never going back.

Yelp
I use to frequent The Lowkey Poke Joint often, but I took a break and started venturing out to other poke restaurants. I decided to give them another try today. After forcing myself to finish my $19 dollar bowl, I remembered why I stopped coming here and felt compelled to write a review. They closely monitor the amount of protein they give you with the use of the tiniest ice cream scoop I've ever laid eyes on. Luckily you get three scoops of protein in a regular bowl, but each scoop is about 4 diced pieces of salmon/tuna/shrimp. Maybe they're cutting back due to inflation but those tiny scoops were almost offensive. Pro tip: get the spicy tuna to bulk up your bowl because they give you a decent amount of that. I gave the Jalapeño Bizness sauce a try for the first time; unfortunately it was pretty bland. Also, I ran out of protein pretty quickly while eating my bowl. So I spent about 20 dollars for a meal I ended up throwing away because I could not continue eating bland rice and veggies once the protein was gone. I use to swear by this place, but now I'm starting to think that's because there weren't many other poke options in the area. If you're on the fence, I say skip it, and check out the newer poke restaurant off of Belt Line not too far from The Lowkey Poke Joint.

Yelp
Love here If u r zero appetite come here Everything is fresh and yum I like the staff here too Super friendly The store is pretty organized You can chill here and have a little rest The store is clean

Louis M.

Yelp
Good food, a little pricey but for the portion it's ok. They don't have pre thought bowls, you have to create your own, like other places they have already a pre thought bowl that a person might like.

Sunny K.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to the Lowkey Pokey..like years. It's nice to know that the food is just as yummy and the customer service is great too. They are patient and do not get annoyed when they are explaining the different menu items. The restaurant is conveniently located in a lively plaza, right off of the North Dallas Tollway, that has other food and retail options. Initially I had only had their poke bowls. This time I tried the tuna tower and the samon belly appetizer. Both were amazing!! Next time I will try the sushi pizza :)

Chris L.

Yelp
Great and FRESH food and super nice people. I'll definitely will be back and am curious about the bookcase.

Aaron X.

Yelp
First off, calling it Lowkey Poke is just daring everyone to pronounce poke incorrectly by rhyming it with lowkey. Now that that's out of the way, this place is legit and has everything: delicious poke bowls, appetizers, more adventurous menu items like the "Pokerito", a bar with TVs playing sports, and even a speakeasy... All in all, the restaurant is certainly lowkey as stated. The cuisine is not life changing, but this is a small business delivering food with a good value proposition while still being willing to take risks to enhance the experience.

Bianca P.

Yelp
Sushi tacos were amazing! Perfect balance of flavors and textures. Employees were super helpful and provided great service.

Jeannie L.

Yelp
Great size and tuna tasted super fresh! It totally hit the spot on Sunday lunch. We will definitely return for more. Chicken karaage was one of their new menus and wanted to try and it was just like popcorn chicken. Wouldn't order that again.

Dimitri P.

Yelp
I went on the day of the eclipse as I was visiting from out of town. Service was not very friendly, ambiance was basic and the food was mediocre. The sushi burrito barely had any fish in it. All and all what we ordered for three people came out to nearly $70 and I don't feel as if it was worth it.

Faby P.

Yelp
Recently visited for the first time with no expectations, just a craving for sushi. The surprise of being invited behind a secret door to another location added an extra layer of excitement. The speakeasy atmosphere was intimate, complemented by a fantastic menu of appetizers and drinks. Will be returning for sure - a perfect spot for a delightful date night!

Greg N.

Yelp
A business associate and myself ate her for Wednesday (09-13) lunch. Arrived about 1pm and there was a line to the door, but the staff worked through it fairly quickly. We both had the small poke bowl and were very happy with the quality, freshness and portions of the fish, greens, rice and various toppings.

Lucy M.

Yelp
My husband and I picked up takeout from the Lowkey Poke Joint on Saturday night on the way back from an event in Grapevine, and we really enjoyed what we ordered. The online ordering process is smooth and we only really waited 5 minutes for them to finish packing everything up when we got to the restaurant. We built our own large poke bowl, and we also ordered the uni pasta and the truffle fries for an appetizer. The truffle fries were delicious, but we didn't really taste any truffle at all -- we both agreed that they were more like sour cream and green onion fries. The uni pasta was also great; it's a bit pricey, but the uni flavor mixed in with the white pasta sauce really well. And the poke bowl was super fresh and filling. The shoyu sauce we got on the side paired really well with our fish and toppings. If I'm ever craving a poke bowl and near the area, I'll definitely know where to go! Looking forward to returning and trying some of their other sides/specials as well.

Daniel J.

Yelp
This is one of my absolute favorite places to get poke! The ingredients always taste so fresh. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I didn't realize until I came with my mom (who doesn't like eating raw fish) that they'll also cook your protein of choice upon request. She loves it too now! Highly recommend this place to everyone. The prices are also really good for the amount of food you get. Some people may even be able to split the meal into two.....like my mom did!

Danny N.

Yelp
The food here slaps. All of the ingredients has a fresh and yet refreshing taste to it. The service is good, and they are good at explaining the food options. Pretty lowkey place to chill and have a first date too lol.

Lucian W.

Yelp
Lowkey ass don't go here but the service was great food not so much chat shi was dry asl

Amy F.

Yelp
Ordered a regular poke bowl with salmon/red snapper and mixed bootea & jasmine rice. Definitely a large portion size and you get your money's worth. I came after playing 3 hours of tennis and I still couldn't finish everything. Every ingredient is fresh and delicious. Also tried the fried cauliflower, which was nicely crisped and lightly flavored, but I prob wouldn't get it again. Would definitely come again if I'm feeling poke in Addison! I am intrigued by their sushi burritos and sushi pizza.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Interesting twist on sushi, staff was patient with me while making selections for the food. Restaurant was clean.

Casey J.

Yelp
The poke nachos!! Yum! I love poke nachos and the dish here was good. I was a little surprised to see the addition of ground up hot Cheetos but it was really good! The wonton chips are made fresh so you have to wait a couple minutes and it is worth it. The poke bowl was good too. Glad Yelp steered us to try this place while out running some errands in the area. Thanks!

Sydnie B.

Yelp
The food is good as an experience and idea, but wasn't the best, i tried the sushi burger, the sushi tacos, takoyaki, and the lowkeyrito. in my experience, sushi is supposed to be a little light and easy but this wasn't the case. my personal favorite was the sushi burger because it was light and a little less complicated (i also ate right after a long road trip so that could also be a factor) service was nice and fast, a little bit of a speech barrier but that's not anyone's fault. and the ambiance as a whole was calm and pretty empty when i went around 3:30 PM. (i forgot to add, the takoyaki was bomb!)

Donna N.

Yelp
Dang, this place is awesome! Had the poke nachos crispy fried wontons and large poke bowl. Poke nachos were amazing and immediately regretted having not purchased more after getting back to hotel. Great array of toppings to choose from and the fish was fresh.

Chia B.

Yelp
I picked Lowkey Poke because I like multiple protein options and other places are charging for more than one protein. I am happy with my choice! Menu: They have a very diverse menu! Sushi burgers, sushi pizza, and sushi tacos are available, but there's even more. They had a special when I was there of karaage. I talked to the most friendly employee ever and she recommended the tacos. Sushi tacos: I was hesitant about trying something other than a bowl, but after the first bite I knew I made the right choice. The tempura battered seaweed shells...omg... So many restaurants do sushi tacos as appetizers, but they don't compare to the tacos here. I can't wait to return and try something else!

Elaine M.

Yelp
I hardly ever give this low of a review :( but it had to be pretty awful if I do! We came to get some poke bowls after checking in with some of the reviews. And the bootea was intriguing to say the least... The prices are a bit high for poke for a regular bowl $14.95 but hey, can't say anything unless you give it a try. My daughter's poke bowl was... sad. Really lacking in flavor, sustenance, and quite frankly, it looked like maybe someone started making it and then forgot to finish?

Laufey A.

Yelp
I'm highly annoyed this place had so many great reviews, i opted to drive 15 minutes out of my way and the Salmon was bad. $18 on an inedible bowl. Place was clean, cashier nice enough.

Jennefer C.

Yelp
My first visit here as a new Texan was nice. The place was clean, the staff was very polite & the food was freshly made. I believe they had just opened recently when I went. Met up with family & ordered a bunch of food as there were a bunch of us w/ kids. The staff was super friendly, patient & attentive with us which is a major plus. They helped us with our orders & provided recommendations for what was best for the chill-rens. I was actually proud the kids ate their food. Usually kids are pretty picky & basic. LoL Anyway, the establishment was pretty clean & most of all the bathroom was too. I actually enjoyed my experience here because the food was delicious, the vibe w/ the staff was amazing & they were jammin 90s R&B music. Made me feel at home & I love that! I love being in my element!

Sara H.

Yelp
First time and it was great! Great service, everyone was friendly and helpful. We got the truffle fries which were delicious. We also ordered the sushi pizza which was very flavorful and delicious. I definitely see myself craving this again and coming back for it! They are known for their poke bowls, will be coming back to try in the near future.

Raymond R.

Yelp
Always ultra fresh and delicious. Nice bar and patio, too. This is for Addison location.

Jordan M.

Yelp
This place always hits the spot. Solid quality sushi and toppings. The I Lava You sauce ain't for the weak- you've been warned. The sauce is delicious though! They've gone up in price but what hasn't? Still cheaper and better quality than other sushi places. Service is quick. Nice little patio area. 10/10 would recommend.

Miya J.

Yelp
I always wanted to try a sushi burrito and they have it. I've tried the Plain and the Hot Cheetos Rito. Those were both delicious! The service is great, very pleasant worker! The environment is very welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!! I've also tried they're Truffle Fries, they're good, but I'd prefer more sauce.

Shamia B.

Yelp
I frequeted this establishment on Saturday night. I was told theres a speakeasy that's through a secret door that begins at 8:00. I must say that I had a great time as the ambience was great and the decor was that of the 1930s. My drink of choice was 21 questions which included cognac, basil, muddled strawberries and lime. The dj was great as well as the bartenders "eye candy". There was a photographer there that posted pics on IG so that was cool. I will return!!

Sophia J.

Yelp
I'm a major sushi person and when I want everything together, poke is my answer. So I tried multiple places and when I came across this restaurant, instantly became my favorite. Why? Because they don't give you super tiny portions or charge for almost every toppings! They do have toppings charged extra for but it's reasonable such as avocados or masago. They have varieties from spicy tuna, regular tuna, salmon, shrimp, etc and even tofu for possible vegetarians! Super nice! By the time you fill your bowl with your favorite toppings, its enough to fill you up with a good pricing! I was a little upset they didn't have spicy salmon because I'm a big salmon person. But overall, I love this poke place and would drive 20+ minutes just to eat here!

Linn P.

Yelp
Got some poke to go since this covid lockdown started. It was not super busy inside, just us and one person behind us. It's hard to order poke over the phone. We got the regular sized poke bowls (3 scoops of protein). I got half and half green tea rice and the regular. The green rice was more al dente, taste was okay. But I didn't noticed so much of a diff since I had poke sauce and the sriracha sauce on it. I was going to get their spiciest sauce, but the worker convinced me not to bc it was very spicy. Turns out, it's not. The rice portion was PLENTIFUL! It was a lot! And the toppings were standard. Up charge for pineapple, avocado, and a couple other items. I do wish they had a smaller portioned size bc even the regular size was too much. And poke/sushi fish is just something you don't want as a leftover. We also had truffle fries, solid. And fried salmon belly- interesting and great sauce. But would have to share. The salmon belly got overwhelming. Overall. Great service, great food. Smaller portion options please.

Ralf R.

Yelp
Place is great. Employees and owner are very hospitable. Place is very inviting and quiet. Can't rave enough about the food. The poke burritos are fantastic. I hate hot cheetos but it pairs great with the burrito. I like that they will grill your protein if you ask for it at no extra charge. I like to eat there at least once a week. Sam is one of the nicest owners I know and will help customize your order the way you want. I have tried the poke nachos the fried shrimp lollipops I think that's what they're called, the potsticker and the pasta. Oh yea and the truffle fried! Everything I've eaten here is good highly recommend. The bar area is small but their spirits selection is great. Sam makes an awesome "old fashioned". Must try. I bring all my outa town friends here when they visit. Not one has said anything bad about Lowkey pokey they do look at me weird when I tell them to order the hot cheetos poke burrito but it quickly goes from What the hell are you ordering! to good god this looks weird but damn it's good! Place always makes me feel welcome!! Sam be seeing you soon!

Natalia L.

Yelp
I always love places that offer vegan options. This sushi joint has tofu on the menu to feed the needs of those who've chosen the meatless lifestyle. You get to pick your protein, fillings, sauces, and toppings. An added plus you can get your eats made up as a burrito roll, pizza, taco or burger. Every week different fun eats are offered as appetizers. There's a full bar to sit down have some eats and enjoy your favorite game on TV.

Cindy D.

Yelp
I ordered the Uni pasta and a salmon poke bowl. The Uni pasta was very creamy, but super rich. I wish there was something to cut it because it was difficult to finish after a new bites. The poke bowl was okay. There wasn't enough sauce and not enough fish for the price. The crab meat was delicious.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
This is still by far my favorite place for poke. I eat here frequently. One star down for me is due to the portion sizes.. they have started weighing their amounts of fish for some time but this last experience... I was not too please about that since they used to be generous with the protein which was what I found added value to my eating experience. I do hope they would add the generous amount back. It might be due to the rising costs of supply after covid :( However, the up side is that quality is still there- I highly recommend this place due to the delicious offerings and quality of food. Not only that, the variety and great selection of non poke items such as the fried salmon belly, sushi tacos, uni pasta and yummy izakaya skewers available. I do hope they will consider increasing their portion of protein while not drastically increasing their prices. My go to poke bowl is a half ans half with bootea rice, salmon/tuna/red snapper as my protein, I lava you and jalapeños business as my sauces. The rest of the stuffings are dependent on my mood! Enjoy!

Claudia V.

Yelp
It was my first time here and everything was all new to me. The person who was handling my food was so nice she walked me through the steps, and the cashier was also very nice as well as attentive. I will definitely come back here again!

Tamara S.

Yelp
Great tasting food, but for the exorbitant price the scoops of protein are way too tiny. I'm not a big eater and I've never run out of protein this quickly eating a poke bowl. $14.95 for the regular bowl is crazy and they want extra for avocado or mango. I guess that's inflation for you...?

Regina F.

Yelp
It's overpriced I paid almost $30 for regular poke blow I don't think I misunderstood with my order bcoz I ate poke blow so many time just feel like ripped off Not coming back

Andrew C.

Yelp
Been twice as I work in Irving. Service is quick and the place is clean. Sushi rolls are super fresh. Good spot for a quick lunch.
