The Lucky Luchador

We were in town for my birthday and had spent the day walking around an exploring. We had read about Lucky Luchador online, and as we were walking back to our hotel, we decided to swing by since they were about to open. The bartender was outside, super friendly, and invited us in so we figured we'd pop in for one. At first, we were the only ones there since they had just opened, but pretty quickly, a bunch of locals showed up. It had that great neighborhood feel, and we felt right at home almost immediately. What started as a quick drink turned into a three-hour stay with fun conversations and great music. We’ll absolutely be back every time we’re in Charleston. Don’t skip this spot!

Found The Lucky Luchador in Charleston South Carolina. So glad I did. Went there before our early dinner. Such an amazing space. They call themselves an Irish cantina. A pretty good description! The inside looks like a typical Irish bar. They have a lot of beers on draft, bottle and of course tons of alcohol. The outside space in the back looks more like a Mexican cantina. They have a bar back there with a full service bar as well. The staff were amazing- very friendly and accommodating. Really excellent friendly service. They also have a photo booth! Will definitely come back when I come back to Charleston.

I came here because my brother told me about the wings that were currently a part of their pop-up. Which were great. But im leaving this review because the bartender wearing a beanie (didn’t get his name) was a top 5 vibes guy ive ever encountered. Guys absolutely hilarious, and provided great service. Keep that guy around at all costs. Hes so solid. Great atmosphere, great people. 10/10.

good little homey bar. super reasonably priced drinks. the staff is awesome and the food is aaaaamazing especially when lowcountry royal is there! try the hot honey wings, you won’t be disappointed :)

This place is fantastic! My new favorite hangout. Non-expensive beer and various food trucks making food. Chris is a great bartender and fun to talk to. Lots of fun characters in here including a canine regular. What a great place! Update: Still cool, such an awesome diverse crowd. The wings from the in house food truck guy were awesome. Solid work, people.

Warning to people with out-of-state driver's licenses. I was vacationing in CHS and was excited to visit this place. However, I was refused service by the server who said he was "uncomfortable serving me" after handing him my real ID. Mind you, I am of age and asked to talk to a manager, yet the server was extremely rude and sassy all the while bending my ID every which way. He repeatedly said he was uncomfortable and was not at all open to communicate with me. Frankly, it was like dealing with a child. Trust me, there's much better places with much more pleasant people in Charleston than here.

This place is really chill and fun. It might be a little divey for some. Usually a nice social atmosphere. They have guest food service, which is fun for variety. They have silly little games sometimes, which people like. I haven't been in a while, but I think I'll go tonight.

Great neighborhood dive bar! Bartenders were nice and whipped up some good drinks. We loved the photo booth in the back and since it was a Saturday night they had the Puerto Rican food pop up with Cariboflip. OMG this was some of the best food I've ever had at a dive bar. Oxtail bao buns, curry goat empanadas, I mean what more can you ask for. I suggest coming here on a Friday or Saturday night so you can try some of the food as well!

This is a great local spot near king st which is honestly pretty hard to find in a very touristy area. They have food truck vendors that rotate throughout the week so the food is different depending on when you go. There is an outdoor bar out back where you can get canned beers and mixed drinks. This is Waldo a Washington capitals bar and usually have a decent crowd there for caps games.

The best bartenders in Charleston. Mike was very polite and funny. Drinks were absolutely amazing and the pop up was everything I could have asked for. 10/10 will be back

Great spot with friendly staff and always rotating pop ups. Love the laid back vibes and bartenders are always super cool to talk to. Go birds!!!

We came here looking for Seol Ah's Korean corn dogs on a rainy night. It really looked like a great neighborhood bar - Irish, even though the name seemed like it could be Mexican... The bartender this evening was nice - the crowd seemed like a nice friendly group.

honestly just didn't like it... i felt like it was weird looking inside(not good) and the staff was mean to my friend when she was ordering a drink.. don't like it bad service

nice little dive bar but good drink prices and they got bomb food. definitely recommend on the weekend

Brian is the BEST!!! He was so knowledgeable & kind! Lucky's is the best vibe & Brian was so helpful & so funny i love him! best little neighborhood bar with the best bartenders in chs! definitely a place to visit!
