The Lucky Penny has a good selection of sauces and little trinkets, which is enough to grant this review a two-star from a one-star. Aside from their selection on the shelf, I was not that impressed with store.
I ordered a sandwich and iced coffee. The sandwich took a long time to get, even though it just had to be warmed on the panini press. The taste was bland, and I was surprised the staff weren’t able to put mustard on it, instead giving me the condiment in a plastic cup (which is surprising, as everywhere seems to be moving away from single-use plastics). My iced coffee had only a few ice cubes, and it was still warm when I received it. The coffee itself tasted like it had been sitting in the brew pot for a while. I ended up not finishing the coffee for this reason.
Staff at this location weren’t very nice either. There’s very little seating options, and the chairs they haver outside don’t have any tables. If you decide to come here, get your food to go. There were a few novelty birthday cards I would go back for, but I won’t be getting anything to eat or drink while there. At least nothing that they make. It’s not worth the wait or hassle for a poorly made coffee or sandwich.
