LA Slice Kings Prime Pizza Expand Again, This Time to Santa Monica | Eater LA

"I found that a new two-story sports bar called the LÜM is opening next month at 3900 W. Century Boulevard near SoFi Stadium; the large space will feature memorabilia, a massive downstairs bar, an upstairs events space, a rooftop deck, and more." - Farley Elliott

The actual stay was nice, my wife and I stayed for 2 nights to attend at funeral near the hotel. However, after we checked out, the next day they charged my CC an additional $800 that I gave them for my check in deposit. When I called to ask why they were running my card as I thought it must have been an error. I was informed that I was responsible to pay for hidden room damages that my wife and I did not do. I have reached out to the hotel multiple times to get this resolved and asked for photos multiple times. They are unresponsive and refuse to send me the photos. When I do speak with the manager Alberto, he keeps telling me that a structural engineer needs to be involved and that basically I'm responsible for the damage. Stay away from this place. They are obviously thieves. But again, it is California! They will rip you off if you give them your CC

Here's the good- It's the newest-looking motel within walking distance of Sofi. (I use motel and not hotel for a reason.) It's also adjacent to a decent bar/restaurant next door (Tom's?), and the beds were soft but that's it. Here's the bad and ugly- The parking is $60 per night as listed on the reservation, but what they don't mention is that jumps to $110 per night for SUVs and self-parking is not an option. If your room assignment is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, they have a two-person elevator that's very slow, especially on the descent, so if you have anxiety or claustrophobic, take the stairs. The problem with the stairs is our room was adjacent to one of them so as people grow impatient with the elevator, would use the stairs so every time a person opened the door, the auto-door closer would SLAM it shut which went on until ~12am. The remote for the TV didn't work even after replacing the batteries. The AC was on high and barely worked in the winter; you'll be miserable in the summer. If you have any eye for remodels or are a contractor like me, they've put lipstick on a pig in a hurry. There were paint splatters all over the bathroom tile, and the toilet seat was completely loose. Upon checkout, I called ahead to the Valet (using the single button on the room phone) to have the car brought to the front, the front desk lady answered and told me I could only make the request in person and she was too busy to pass my request along to the valet that's 5 feet away. At 5:30am we checked out, the lobby was empty, the same front desk lady I spoke to on the phone was full of attitude and the makeshift kcup/coffee tray was dirty and full of trash. At least the valet was nice so I tipped him well and we were gone. As a bonus and if you're a light sleeper, this hotel is literally UNDER the flight path of one of LAX's two runways so you'll hear the arrivals every 20-40 seconds. We paid $253 for the room and $110 for parking or $363 for a complete POS. 2 blocks away is the CRESTRIDGE INN at 4.5 stars for half the price or a few blocks more towards the 405 are a bunch more LAX hotels and then Uber to Sofi if you have to. Don't waste your $$ like we did.

One thing interesting happened after checking out in a few days. I found someone used my credit card to purchase 1k ticket of a concert from Ticketmaster. I only use this credit card recently for the deposit in the hotel, and the concert is just across the street, what a coincidence. Fortunately my bank automatically decline the transaction so I don’t need to worry but just change a new card. But just feel curious, and I feel interesting. Anyway room is good.

I understand they are under construction, but this hotel needs more help. The staff was extremely limited. Valet was difficult due to very few parking spots and a small driveway and poor instructions how to retrieve our car. Our room was clean, except they did not provide us towels. We requested a pool view and they gave us a street view which made me nervous. They provided a white noise machine for the construction, but it didn't help because of all the road noise. Construction started around 7 am. No closet in the room, no door on the shower, and no microwave in the room. The only reason we chose this hotel was because it is close to the event stadiums within walking distance (30 mins) on a safe road. Walls are very thin, beds are not super comfortable.

The two ladies at the front desk on the night of October 10th were both incredibly hospitable quick and kind. We and a multitude of others had hotel vouchers from airlines and they were quick and so very polite to everyone. The hotel itself is getting remodeled as of now so the amenities it seems are closed but the rooms are beautiful and clean as well as the property itself. Seems like a new owner took over and really poured a lot of money into the place.

This is the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The moment you enter the hotel, your phone signal completely disappears. You cannot make calls, you cannot send messages, nothing works. There is also a serious security concern: the hotel requires you to hand your phone to the reception so they can "register" you. This puts your personal information at serious risk. The rooms shown in the photos have absolutely nothing to do with the real rooms. The actual rooms are extremely small, the beds are almost on the floor, and everything is clearly worn out from heavy use. On top of that, the hotel is under constant repair, and everywhere is messy. Our night was completely ruined. Such a hotel and such management are unacceptable. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

You can’t beat the location in relation to SOFI. It’s the only hotel within walking distance. Super short, safe walk to the stadium. We were back having a glass of wine after the game before we would have even found an uber last year! We didn’t mind the valet situation. We felt the car was safe. The restaurant was super yummy with great service. Agreed that the bed frame corners gave bruises. Not the best design decision. The sound machine in the rooms was great! Walls are thin and you will hear other people in the hallways but it wasn’t awful. The pool was beautiful! Room was small but sufficient. Need to add a microwave and ice bucket for sure! And one tiny elevator wasn’t great for us at the busy time. All in all, the location makes up for the not so great.

Unfortunately, our experience at the LUM Hotel by Hilton was extremely disappointing. We chose it for its proximity to SoFi stadium, I didn't received my $100 deposit back and our car was one of the few that got broken in the hotel's valet area. Both passenger windows were shattered, and despite paying paying $55 per day for valet parking, the security was clearly inadequate. The Hotel staff never apologized or even an assistance to clean it. We had to clean up the glass ourselves and drive 250 miles home with significant damage, cancel our plans for the day. The repairs cost 1,200, and although we were eventually reimbursed, the process was slow and stressful, a lot of back and fourth. 3 days later had to miss work to drive it to another city to get it fix. This experience caused unnecessary frustration and disrupted our plans. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others. You are best staying somewhere else.

Yelp
This hotel stay was half great, half a headache. The rooms are super new and updated, and everything was clean. The bed was really comfortable, which was the best part of the stay. Also, the pool area was actually much nicer than the pictures looked, so that was a nice surprise. There was a sound machine in the room, and it was helpful for blocking out noise from the road and airplanes. Honestly, this is not a very relaxing place because the noise is a huge problem. The walls are thin, and you can hear everything going on in the hallway and from the room above you. Also, if you are tall, watch out: the bathroom ceiling is really low. I'm 5'9", and if I was even a little bit taller, the shower wouldn't have worked for me. When I first arrived, it was confusing because the name "Lum" wasn't on the building. The lobby is also VERY MUCH under construction right now. Even though I got a late checkout (thank you Hilton status), the cleaning staff kept knocking during my work meeting because they didn't get the message. And the coffee in the lobby is just a basic Keurig--it's fine, but nothing special. If you bring a car, you need to know this: Parking is a disaster. There is absolutely no place to park except the $55 a day valet. I drove around for an hour trying to find another option. Factor this cost in, because you have zero other choice! The clean, comfy room is great for just one night. And relaxing by the pool on a hot day was nice. But I wouldn't plan to stay for more than a day.

Yelp
Despite the reputation of the surrounding area, the Lum radiates a safe passage for the weary needing their rest. Located smack dab in the middle of the Forum/Sofi/Intuit entertainment center trifecta, the Lum was a welcomed retreat for us post concert travelers. It came highly recommended when I used Google AI to provide a safe family friendly hotel near the Kia Forum in Inglewood. We arrived late but I had a reservation, I was welcomed by a friendly woman at the front desk who was helping another lady. A security guard was station in the lobby as well. We had prepaid for our valet, otherwise it's park at your own discretion. But I was relieved I was able to get that prepaid option since we arrived do late after the concert. We got our room on the 2nd floor as requested and settled in comfortably. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, it helped me get a restful nights sleep. The shower and bathroom were spacious and water pressure was perfect. We were able to login using our own Netflix account on the TV. There was plenty of space to keep our belongings and get ready the next day. You can get coffee in the lobby or even in your room but we opted for the Starbucks the next block over. There is a popular restaurant adjacent to the property. Didn't work out to dine here this time but I would if and when we return. The only downside was the construction but we were warned about this in advance. Otherwise I would have slept in if it weren't for the noise. They did give us an hour courtesy late check in when I called the front office that morning to give us more time to prepare for our journey back home. Also looked like there was some recent repairs in the restroom that looked like finger print smudges or dirty was on the ceiling so that needed to be cleaned up. Overall, we would stay here again.

Yelp
It's a very nice new boutique hotel right in the thick of the entertainment complex that now defines Inglewood. Actually learned of this hotel through a parking app when attending a Chargers game, but once there we had a good look around and interacted with the valets, staff and bar area (very nice place to hangout). The hotel is very nicely curated as a high-end casual style and they really nailed it; upscale, but casually inviting and embracing. There's no uppity feel to it which you could easily see, based solely on first visuals. It's really a perfect fit for the area.

Yelp
Location. Location. Location. The Lum Hotel is poised right next to the Intuit Dome. So you're a stone's throw away from the hype. Valet parking, front desk reception was a breeze. My friend got some points that needed to be used before expiration so she booked us a free night stay here for the Dierks Bentley concert. We were really just here to lay our heads on the pillow so I can't comment much on the rest of the property. As with any boutique hotels, the elevator is tiny. The rooms were clean, minimalist. Our room opened up to a balcony, with a view of Century Blvd. The staff were pleasant throughout our short stint here. The hotel gave free drink credits to the bar/restaurant next door.

Yelp
Went to see Jeff Goldblum at YouTube theater and did not want to pay $40 to park in their lot. Parking Whiz shows you a map of parking spots in the area and the price and I was able to park here for $20 and walk over to SoFi/YouTube theater. I crossed the street and was pretty much at SoFi. There was a bit of a walk through the property and I passed the Cosm building and was able to get to YouTube theater in about 10 minutes. The night I went there was no traffic and it wasn't sold out so walking to YouTube/SoFi from the Lum was simple and fast. When I got back after the show, there was nobody at the valet stand and the key box was open. I waited for about 7 minutes and no one ever came out. Again, it was not busy the night I went and it was a Tuesday evening, so where the valet staff went, I'm not sure. My car was literally parked in front of the valet stand facing the hotel. I ended up just taking my keys from the Valet box and seeing myself out. Great location, cheap parking for the venues, but if someone wasn't manning the valet stand and the key box was open, it might lead to a car robbery.

Yelp
Mandara , hope I spelled her name right! Loved her , we got here to check in and all of the rooms were taken and no rooms were available for check in .. she got right on it and helped accommodate us right away. She definitely turned my frown upside down! Just for her, I'll definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
My wife and I were in town for the opening night of the Cowboy Carter tour. Picked this hotel as it's within close proximity to SoFi. Overall, it's decent. The room and property were impeccably clean, I'll give them that. Being able to not deal with traffic and trying to ride share at SoFi was a big plus. However, I have to roast them for the parking fee. Fortunately, I didn't have any extra charges or theft issues that other reviewers stated, but charging registered guests $55 a night and forcing them to valet is egregious to me. Do better. Also, the walls are paper thin. I could hear conversations in the room next to us, word-for-word. I'm still wondering what our neighbor is going to do about her, "dipsh*t boyfriend who refuses to get a job". I had to go before the end of that conversation. If you're flying in and only staying a night or two, Lum is a good option for events at SoFi, Intuit, or the Forum. Outside of that, it's a hard pass.

Christy S.

Yelp
We have stayed here several times for concerts at SoFi and the location is great. They have now increased there parking to $100 per day for a truck which is outrageous. Cork & Batter is now closed as well so food next door is not available. Their gym has also been closed the last two times we have stayed there.
google avatar

Rhonda R.

Yelp
We stayed at the lum for 3 nights. It is in walking distance to a lot of amazing spots including sofi stadium, YouTube theater and the Intuit Dome. It is also attached to a delicious restaurant called cork & batter. It is valet parking ONLY and only one car allowed per room ($55 a night or $110 a night for big vehicles) keep this in mind as it is such a busy area! We booked initially though Expedia and when we arrived the reserved us the incorrect room. However the ladies up front quickly corrected this and gave us a new room within minutes. The rooms are super clean and trendy (unlike the other hotels in this area). Their pool is heated with plenty seating. It's a shallow pool, no more than 4 ft I believe but perfect to relax in. We had no real concerns . Be prepared it's near an airport so you definitely hear the airplanes come in throughout the entire stay (but again that's any spot in this area). I would stay again!

Yelp
I stayed here with my parents and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've ever had. We were given room 127, which was completely different from the view shown online -- right in front of a noisy construction site. The paint smell and drilling noises were unbearable, lasting even through the night. At night, loud noise from the restaurant next door continued until around 10 PM, making it impossible to relax. The shower head was broken and couldn't be fixed in place, and housekeeping never showed up even once during our entire stay -- something I've never experienced before. The worst part was the strange sewage-like smell that came in whenever we opened the door. It was honestly disgusting. And on top of that, valet service was basically nonexistent. The parking lot was chaotic, and even though we parked the car ourselves because no one was available, they still tried to charge us a valet fee -- unbelievable. This was supposed to be a meaningful trip with my parents from Korea, but it turned into a stressful experience. I've already contacted Priceline and the hotel directly, and I plan to share this review on multiple platforms if it's not handled properly.

Yelp
We stayed here purely for the location.. you really can't beat it if you're planning on seeing a show at SoFi or Intuit. The girl at the Front Desk was extremely pleasant when we check in but everyone else was pretty cold and dismissive. We understood that the Gym and Loft was under construction so we really didn't mind but what pissed us off was the Construction workers were working on the Loft located right across our room! We couldn't enjoy just sitting on the balcony, we couldn't even open our balcony curtain bc they would be staring right into our room! Our shower was a piece of shit, it would flood literally 3mins after turning the water on. There were two Shampoos and one Conditioner, so no body wash (we walked to Target to grab our own). We tried to move rooms but everything was sold out. There's one microwave in the Lobby that takes forever to heat up something as simple as a pastry. The WiFi was also a joke. It would keep cutting in and out of service. We probably used it a handful of times. We stayed for 5-nights and the total was $1600. I wouldn't go past staying here two nights if I do come back to Inglewood for a concert. Very passable, but like I said, it's wonderful for convenience.

Yelp
I frequently visit this area, and was extremely impressed by the rooms, area, cleanliness and their customer service. Would like to shoutout their front desk employee Cinthia. Extremely welcoming, I probably wasn't in the best mood from traveling and she ensured my stay was A1 along with any question was answered. Hopefully she's a manager next time I stay, 10/10 recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
On August 4, we went to see Shakira. My daughter and I had a wonderful dining experience in the rooftop bar, delicious food and drinks. At the end of the concert, we ran out of phone battery and we're not able to get an Uber back home. Rolanda at the front desk. Let us let us call my son to for him to pick us up at midnight. Jose, who was also working there that night lend me his charger. They were wonderful. truly recommend Lum Hotel excellent customer service and care

Yelp
Overall experience of this place sucked. Upon arrival we were told it was $100 dollars to park. That is not mention on the website so we were definitely surprised. Secondly, the hotel was under construction, the website failed to mentioned it and we were awaken by the noise. Lastly, the front desk receptionist Ms. Courtney couldn't have been any more rude. Good thing about this place is its location. But overall, I think it would be worth pay a little extra to stay in a well known hotel for convenience, effort and hospitality.

Ramon R.

Yelp
Don't stay here and definitely don't give the valet your keys. I had to stop by the room for 15 minutes on the way to work and the valet, knowing this, literally LEFT the premises WITH MY KEYS! Completely sketchy
google avatar

Nate R.

Yelp
I slept ok, but for the price and especially the 100.00 parking per day. I probably won't be back. Hallways smelled like marijuana and people were a bit loud. No offense, but I think people with housing vouchers stay there.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend (05/23-26) and I loved it!! Check in was easy, and when we found out our tv wasn't working, maintenance came within fifteen minutes to fix it. The hot tub was my favorite! The only annoying thing I found about staying here was the parking situation. **ITS ONLY VALET!!** You have to wait for your car when you want to leave :/.
google avatar

Christie D.

Yelp
The staff seems nice, no complaints there. This hotel gets business due to location and a lack of competitors, not because it's a great hotel. You can walk to the concert arenas, the reason I stayed here. There is no self parking, all valet so that's $55 per day if you have a vehicle Let me be honest and say I might rate it higher if the pool wasn't under construction and if I wasn't in a room right near reception and the dining area, but we won't know so here goes. No microwave in room, yes mini fridge. Yes coffee maker. Bathroom, shower style is no door, which just lets the heat and steam out and of course the floor gets wet. No tub. The bathroom also has a barn door, who in the year 2012 designed it, we don't know but that was a mistake. Said door is off it's track leaving a large gap. So your roomie can watch you use the restroom if that's their kink. The shower emits a slight septic smell after use so that's lovely. The noise from other guests and staff isn't buffered at all, the doors slam shut startling you while asleep if anyone in your hallway comes and goes. Upstairs sounds like elephants, I'm guessing it's just poor quality rather than circus performers up there but there is a small chance I could be wrong. If someone is in the hallway it sounds like they are in your room. I booked through booking com and the original price was twice what I ended up paying and rebooking for two nights instead of one (decided to come a day early), so I'm not sure what's up with that. the wifi went out the first night were here and wasn't back on the second day. The receptionist said it was really spotty right now but it's not, it's entirely off. Anyway, I might stay here again just so I could walk to sofi or wherever but I wouldn't be excited about it. This place shouldn't be more than 150 a night max. We had room 124, perhaps there's a very loud slamming door just in this area but I doubt it. You can also see someone once broke into our room, kicked it in or whatever. Not repaired very well since I can see it I didn't eat here but the prices are okay, you need reservations or you won't get in on an event nearby. I'd find a different place unless you need this location. Honestly the noise more than anything just makes this stay uncomfortable. In particular the doors, which they could fix or pad or something.

Yelp
It's 4:55 am. I've been awake since 3, when several people started arguing, yelling, partying in the hallways and lobby. This is awful. There is no way I would recommend this place. Like...ever. And fair warning: absolutely REFUSE a room on the first floor of the front building with a lobby if you want any opportunity to sleep. You will regret it. I do.

Kaelyn C.

Yelp
If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience -- for all the wrong reasons -- Lüm Hotel in Inglewood is the place for you. Let's start with the basics: The entire hotel is under construction. That little detail was conveniently left off the website, booking platforms, and literally any photo or description. We were trying to get ready for bed and were excited to find there was no running water. You know, that small luxury hotels sometimes offer -- like being able to shower or flush a toilet. When we asked the front desk about it (silly us), they acted like we were the problem for wanting such outrageous amenities. They could not give us an answer as to when it would be back on, only told us that it was due to the construction. Then there's the valet service, which graciously added a new scratch to my car. A complimentary souvenir, I guess. Tried calling them afterward to talk things through, because I had some questions. Joke's on me -- they hang up mid-ring. Apparently customer service is as optional as plumbing here. Now, let's talk architecture. The upper floors are so uneven you start to wonder if the hotel was built with plastic straws and play-dough rather than rebar and concrete. The floor dips and sways in a way that's definitely not intentional. The walk ways shook with the wind, which is not desirable when you are three stories high. As for the rooms? At first glance, they look modern and clean -- in the way a Home Depot showroom looks modern and clean. It's all glossy plywood surfaces hiding the fact that nothing really works. Would not recommend unless you're into expensive disappointment and wobbly floors.

Yelp
I love coming to this hotel! Everytime i visit i am always provided with the best help and service! i wanted to say thank you to a specific employee named Mia at the front desk,, she is an absolute sweet heart , she is kind and understanding and she genuinely made my experience at this hotel top tier! I hope she is recognized and is given the recognition she deserves because she displays true hospitality and customer service and finding that these days is rare. Thank you so much Lum Hotel and especially thank you to Mia !

Yelp
My friend and I came from San Diego for a concert. I was notified two days before that the pool was closed, the fitness center was closed and the hotel was under construction. That was a little disappointing but upon check in I was greeted by Breanna and Kelly. They were so kind and very professional. We started chatting about the concert that brought me to the neighborhood. They were so excited for my friend and I to stay here and enjoy the concert. They immediately apologized for any inconvenience the construction may have caused for our stay. They brought a smile to our faces and they were so personable. I went downstairs twice to visit the restaurant and Breanna was still on shift. The later it got the busier it became with many people checking in. As a hospitality/service industry worker I noticed her positive attitude and graciousness with the guests checking in that had complaints about the construction. She kept a smile and was so kind. I went up and thanked her for making our stay here so special, despite the construction and unavailable facilities I was not aware of when I booked the hotel. The way she handled the guests I say this wonderful woman deserves a raise. Also the food at the restaurant was very good and the staff were all accommodating and very nice. The staff makes up for the inconvenience of the construction. Thank you to the staff for your patience and Breanna, you are a superstar

Lajuanna P.

Yelp
I give them a three because there is no hotel self parking. To charge someone an additional 55 foe parking into my room bill is insane. The elevators are tiny, yet they say whole 10 people there is physically no way of that. Was awaken to loud contructiin noise. My TV in room didn't work I kept getting a no signal. Hilton should remove their name from them. I did not feel like a stay at the Hilton.

Liz Z.

Yelp
Hotel staff was low key rude. There's only one person at the front and that's even if they are there. There's no phone in room to contact the front desk so if you need towels or anything you better start walking to the front. Someone pulled the fire alarm in the middle of the night and no one was even there to handle it. No one acknowledged or even apologized. Walls are paper thin and people were loud in the hallways all hours of the night. With no security or staff to even say anything to. If u want ice, no bucket or machine for ice. Only time to get ice is during the restaurants open hours and it's over given in reg plastic cup. Would give zero stars if I could.

Lajoyce M.

Yelp
This place is overrated number one is under construction. They don't tell you that before you book the room the pool is not available. The gym room is not available. They have no ice machines. The loft or the rooftop is under construction not available. There's no telephones in the room, there's no shower doors. This place is raggedy. I will never go back.

Justine H.

Yelp
Stayed here recently for a conference nearby. We arrived early and the hotel did a good job of accommodating us and getting us in early prior to our original check-in. Both rooms in our reservations didn't have working TVs. Everything had been unplugged prior to our arrival. Maintenance promptly fixed one room in the reservation but never attended to the second room. One room did not have a comforter on the bed. When we asked hotel management for a comforter they had just left one rolled up on the counter, did not make the bed with it. AC turns off in the room after a couple hours of use. So you will go to bed at desired temperature but wake up in the middle of the night boiling. In one room, the fire alarm would go off every time we took a shower. Hotel management would stop by and say that we needed to open the balcony doors while we showered in order to keep the alarm from going off. While attending the conference on the first day of our stay, our reservation had been "deleted" in their system. So my keys wouldn't allow me back into the room. They had no evidence in their system of me in my room. All of my belongings still locked in the room. Security had to escort me to the room to ensure my belongings were there and to confirm that it was the room I was in. Gym is closed for reservations, rooftop dining & drinks are closed. Was not disclosed prior to arrival. Pool very dirty. If you need a place close by for either the Inuit dome or so-fi, this option is great to be walking distance and avoid the traffic. If you are in town for a couple nights, AVOID at all costs. Too expensive to have this many issues.

My stay at Lum in Los Angeles was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional hotel experiences I've ever had. We arrived at 1:30 PM with early check-in requested. Instead of being told useful information, we were told to write our names on a list and wait in the lobby. They promised they would call us when our room was ready, but that never happened. Meanwhile, a massive line started forming that stretched all the way to the back of the hotel, out through the exit, and down both sides of the hallway. Families, children, tons of luggage. Despite having been there for hours, we watched people who had just arrived get checked in and given rooms ahead of us that were told to wait in line over writing their names down. The lady at the front desk (I'm assuming was the manager) couldn't be bothered to answer our questions or give us helpful information to be able to check in at our check in time. To make matters worse, we were in town for a concert and, with no room to get ready in, we had to do our hair and makeup by the pool and change clothes in the hotel's lobby restroom--hardly what you expect when you're paying to stay somewhere. We finally got a room at 5 PM (over three hours late), and even then it wasn't the room we reserved. There were no apologies, no water offered, no discounts--just excuses and confusion. The next day they tried to be all nice and act as if nothing happened. No accountability what-so-ever. I truly felt horrible for my mother that had drove hours, needed to get ready, while trying to do the most for her children so my brother could have a memorable 16th birthday. This was just unacceptable and would like others to not go through the same mess we did.

Yelp
Get hotel. Clean fresh. There is construction going on right now but over all nice when your LAX delta flight gets canceled.

Yelp
I hate coming here for parking since we go go cork and batter quite often. Advertised price for valet keeps changing.

Yelp
Property is being remodeled and the pool is torn up - not disclosed! My room had 1/2 roll of TP, no wash clothes and the TV doesn't work! No way to contact front desk without physically walking down there. They would not issue or honor Hilton points - had to call Hilton directly. Whole property is noisy. Neighborhood is questionable. Manger was condescending when asked to correct issues. Do not recommend!

Yelp
The Lum Hotel is Great just stay away from Booking.com they completely ripped us off. On the website I booked a room for a weekend to go to a Saturday night concert next door. It said on the website no prepayment needed. Then Wednesday prior to the concert I received an email stating if I didn't pay$829 in the next 24 hours my reservation would be cancelled and my gal and my plans ruined. I was on my way home and in a panic I paid it. When I got home I checked booking.com website and the price for the same room was $424 almost half and by check in the price was lowered to $165 a night. The next day we received an email from the hotel saying all the facilities were closed due to construction. The pool, jacuzzi, gym and roof top lounge area. The whole reason we booked earlier on Friday was to spend time by the pool and jacuzzi time. My gal bought 3 bathing suits just for this holiday that we hardly ever get to take. I contacted booking.com Thursday and they said they would match the $424 price and then when I got the pool email I called and explained that to them and they said not to worry they would take care of it. We went ahead and stayed there because it was too late to spend more money on a second hotel and I had already paid I was worried I wouldn't get my money back. Well after getting to the hotel and having to change rooms after we set up in our first room because TV and other things weren't working we were put in a nice room by the night desk woman who felt so sorry for everything booking.com was putting us through. Now to add total insult to injury Booking.com is not honoring their agreement to match the price. They've offered to send me $100 in their travel dollars for one of their future bookings. I am rated as a genius customer in their company because I have used them so much over the last 15-20 years. I am a traveling construction project manager that builds hotels and I've traveled all over the west coast working on Hotels. I will tell this story to everyone I know in the hotel business throughout the western states and Hawaii and I'm sending it to my family of 200 in Europe where I'm originally from. I won't stop till all social media is aware of how booking.com stole from my family!!!!

Yelp
Would not recommend this place - needed a place to stay overnight from the airport. I figured I'd give it a try as it was part of the Hilton honors program. The front desk staff was friendly on check in. As soon as I got to my room there were people arguing in the main hallway. This went on for 1/2 hour. I got to sleep, then at 9 AM sharp they began construction work on the room across from me. Very noisy, went on all morning. I had 2 PM checkout but the maid knocked twice on the door while I was asleep to confirm if I was still in there. I had do not disturb sign on the door, but she still knocked. On checkout I went to get my credit for breakfast ($36 was confirmed twice by the front desk) and they would only credit me $18. I asked to speak to the manager, they said he will email me and has not. If I'm in LA again I would stay far away from this place!

Yelp
Valet scammed my step dad for parking just for him to find his truck parked on the street on the way to Sofi Stadium. They tried to charge him $125 for parking his truck but easily said we'll take $65 and say he has a small car to the front desk. Front desk didn't question him about it. Wouldn't recommend. Not sure if the hotel knows their valet is doing this!

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE EVER! Parked on Doty, valet tipped off tow company, and we're out $350 for less than 45 minutes away. So they make money off towing cars less than 1 mile from SoFi. IT IS ILLEGAL!!!!

Yelp
Worst hotel ever upon arrival i had to pay $55 for parking that's insane, the noise is bad I did not sleep i can hear everything and to top it off i pay valet but I had to walk through the street with my luggage to get my car away from the hotel
