My family tried this spot for the first time today and we were not disappointed. We ordered the popcorn chicken and 2 pounds of mac and cheese with smoked chicken. The popcorn chicken is amazing! Delicious and unique seasoning and so perfectly crunchy good. The portion was huge for $12. The mac was great too. Gooey goodness. The chicken was moist and tender with just the right amount of smokey flavor. The guys working were super friendly. Highly recommend this place and I'm already plotting my next visit!!

Massive portions, very well seasoned and deliciously flavorful. I got the Mac with popcorn chicken and the batter on the chicken is so tasty. The cheese sauce is bomb. Noodles are cooked perfectly. I’ll be back!

The smallest size is 1 pound, and it's definitely a challenge to finish. I got the Mac with panko and bacon, flavor was very good, pasta was cooked just right. It's a good value and very filling.

Seriously it’s the best mac & cheese spot in Oregon. They also serve good meat. The chicken thighs I had were juicy and easy to eat. The seasoning was perfect. Im from the south east so my expectations are very high, but the Mac is seriously some of the best food I have ever eaten 10 out of 10.

I have no idea how these folks have a low score. We’ve been looking for a good comfort food place and I can’t believe we didn’t find The Mac sooner. We got the brisket, rib eye and Mac. SO GOOD. 1000000% our new comfort food spot.

We like this place. Not sure why so many people are so entitled leaving bad reviews but dude has always been really nice whenever we got food from here. It can get challenging running a business by yourself so please be nicer to the people who are literally serving you food. Now onto the food: absolutely delicious!! The flavor is there, the toppings are great, and it is always hot and fresh. My second pic looks blurry only cuz of the amount of steam coming outta there. The menu is diverse with something sweet for dessert included and everything is very delicious! Highly recommend this. Been a minute since we checked it out but will return soon.

The Mac food cart serves an excellent mac & cheese that absolutely deserves your attention, but their sliders are not to be missed either. We chose the fried chicken, smoked chicken, and the OG Mac for our sliders and now all we can say is choosing a favorite was extremely difficult. Almost every bite of both the smoked chicken and the fried chicken was followed with a “this one’s my favorite.” The juicy fried chicken had a cornmeal crust and a tangy house-made BBQ sauce - unusual, but just right for this one. The smoked chicken retained its moisture while fried onions added the perfect crunch. The OG Mac slider was so different that comparing it to the other two is nearly impossible. The mac & cheese is a four-cheese recipe that is perfectly creamy and a unique experience inside a bun. The potato buns make all of the sliders great because they easily tear apart, but still hold their shape. Somehow all three of these evoked a general sense of attending the fair in the summer. If you’re ever missing the fair, The Mac might just fill that need with their sliders.

The wife and I went here while staying in Tigard. Loved my sliders (the smoked and fried chicken), both were tender and very flavorful. Wife enjoyed the Dirty Mac n Cheese with added ground beef and carmalized onions! The sides of corn were juice. Only downside is our forgotten sauces with our order of Popcorn chicken but otherwise I would visit again!

Fuego (Fire) All Of It. Friendly staff. It pays to be patient because it is made to order. I don't mind standing looking at the view of the town down the hills. Or even if I wanted to sit in my car, they even brought it to me on occasion. 10/10

So I'm just here to say that the Mac n' cheese here is life changing lol, the popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, a perfect complement to the creamy mac (with bread crumbs and jalapeños). Yep, I can't ever go back to eating mediocre Mac n cheese this was way too good (and the portion size is humongous)! It's a bit pricey, but like anything in life you get what you pay for and damn this was totally worth it!!!!! Also the employee working at the food truck was very friendly and genial! Will come back again and bring family/friends.

Tried the Mac and even through it was a little pricy, it was really good! My son had the chicken sandwich and it was a huge piece of meat. My husband ordered a double burger plain and it was outstanding and impressive. I ordered the Mac with bacon and I intended to only eat half but I couldn't stop. It was creamy and super good. We will definitely have it again! There isn't any outdoor seating so we ate in our car. The employees also were kind enough to bring the food out to the car since it was a 15 minute wait, which was nice.

It looks better than it tastes. I wouldn't mind the expense if it tasted as good as it looked. The person working the cart was difficult and disinterested in helping me until I added lobster tails. Then it was like a switch went on and he was suddenly nice. Nice idea, nice presentation, but missed out on flavor.

Very very Hot and fresh delicious and rich the Mac and cheese with smoked chicken is what my son got to share and there is tons tons left. The lemonade is delicious as well

Superb Mac and cheese and great smoked chicken combined with it. My only complaint is there is no seating whatsoever so if you don't have a car you're kinda screwed. The employee was super nice and welcoming. Great place I will be returning to try the other items/house made lemonade.

I have had their Mac and Cheese. It's excellent so creamy so tasty. Today I got a cheeseburger too. It didn't disappoint. Best burger I have had in a long time. So yummy .

Their Delicious, smokey Gouda mac and cheese is amazing, plus adding their smoked chicken or popcorn chicken to it. Highly recommend!

This cart recently reopened across the street. I'm super glad for it. The smoked chicken is super tasty. The popcorn chicken is amazing. And the namesake Mac and cheese is great. They recommend ordering in their website to facilitate easy pickup. But they took our order quickly and efficiently in person.

So apparently the sliders are out which was my favorite part. However 99 traffic has reenergized my love of the fried chicken thighs. Every other time I get them I'm in a hurry so they are flaking hot. However this time after a good 30 minute rest home they were perfect. Hard for me to turn these down

I decided to give them a try since I drive past so often. There is always someone there byung so I figured the all those people couldn't be wrong. I was right!! The chicken was some of the best smoked chicken I have ever had in my life. The smoke flavor was deep. into the meat! Every bite tasted as good as the first. It's takes great skill to smoke low and slow, and especially on a fire. These guys rocked it! The macaroni was smoked and flavory. I think the macaroni had some gouda cheese in it with other cheeses. I'm not 100% sure. It was in the top 5 macs I've had in my life. These guys are doing wonders with their smoker! I vote give them a try!

Great food. Lots of choices. The best popcorn chicken. Lots of sauce options. Great mac and awesome fries. Tried them twice. Yummy both times

This food cart was trash. We were fed burnt cold chicken, bland Mac N cheese, cold fries, and a drink we didn't order, the Cart attend stated "this all we got", instead of asking us if we wanted what he had or our money back. To top it all off we had to wait for cold food. It seems like someone fed is their 3 day old family's leftovers. I highly recommend that you skip this place.

It's black-owned restaurant week, so I ordered online and headed over. The Mac and cheese features smoked Gouda, Parmesan, and sharp cheddar. You can order it with something like 27 additions--I chose popcorn chicken. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. I added Buffalo sauce (ordered on the side) as I ate it--a little on the Mac and a little on the chicken! The portions were HUGE and I am stuffed--with plenty leftover for another meal or two. I ordered online and my food was ready as promised (and exactly as requested). It was well-packaged and the friendly guy there provided napkins and a fork. I'll be back!

The Mac with smoked chicken was decent. A word of advice to the dude in the cart. "If someone is taking the time to come to your truck and give you money, maybe consider not being a dick" might lead to repeat business.

I gave a review about 7 months ago and it was 5 stars, we ordered here again tonight because of how much I liked it before. Tonight was a different story, my husband showed up after I ordered via grub hub for pick up, I ordered at 5pm for a 6pm pick up, when he arrived he waited 15 minutes and was told they lost our ordered and then later said they gave our order to someone else. The lady on the phone was really nice but my husband waited 45 minutes total. When he got home (we literally live across the street. The mac was cold, the fries were cold, luckily they are still good when they are cold. Lastly the chicken was hot on the outside and pink and undercooked on the inside, I had to microwave the chicken and mac n cheese. We got 2 free lemonades for our trouble. I hope this place improves because they have great food.

I trekked here on Juneteenth as an attempt to support a Black business. I was so happy that I did! Although the wait was quite long, I imagine me going right at dinner time and on Juneteenth when others may have been thinking the same thing as I might have impacted the wait time. I don't know enough to speak on regular wait times. Let me speak on what I can speak on though, and that is the fact that this was one of the best Mac & cheese I've had in my three decades on this earth. Highly recommend the OG mac with bacon and fried egg as extras. Shout out to whoever's review had suggested this. The combination of whatever cheeses they used were very flavorful. I had hoped to try the smoked chicken and spuds, unfortunately they were sold out. The fried chicken was however a good alternative- moist on the inside, crispy on the outside. Would definitely come again to try the rest of the menu.

Food was amazing super flavorful the Mac and cheese is honestly the best Mac and cheese I ever had!

I pass by this place an average of 3.43 times a day, which equates to 24.01 times a week and a whopping 1251.95 times a year. It was time to finally stop in and have some mac. It's a food cart with limited seating, so probably best to get takeaway. I think that's what the brits call takeout, so I'm just going to go with it. There were so many options that it was really hard to decide (I know, what a problem to have), but I settled on the fried chicken slider, dirty brisket fries and OG mac. The fried chicken slider was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and crispy. I wish there was a little less bbq sauce and maybe the addition of aioli/mayo and some crunchy lettuce but overall it was great. The brisket fries were good, but I probably wouldn't get them again. The brisket was really flavorful and juicy but pretty fatty in parts and again too much bbq sauce for my taste. The OG mac was tasty, and I'm not much of a mac and cheese person. I heard that bacon is a wonderful addition (no surprise there) so maybe I'll go with that next time. The staff was great and literally ran after me when they realized I didn't have my sauces (aioli and sriracha ranch) in the bag. Bonus points for that! I'll be back!

CAN WE GET A 10 STARS OPTION ‍ My son LOVES This place . VERY loyal to the business . I had the privilege of my son buying dinner last-night. HOLY CANOLI Catfish is ON POINT ! The Mac is PERFECT and Al dente lord have mercy! The Mac they use is perfectly shaped, sauce is outstanding. Portions are very generous. Let's talk about the chicken Smoked to perfection. NO HEARTBURN, NOT DRY and absolutely delicious. The wings , fried wings are CRUNCHY, MEATY and best I have ever had . The owners / staff is so kind to my son . Every time he comes home from THE MAC , he has nothing but a smile and positive things to say . He has a TBI and sometimes folks are not so patient . So as a momma bear , I say thank you to all of you there He is the catfish and Mac young man

Wow. Well don't come here y'all. I called in to place a takeout order. I asked if they do take out and they said as long as we can pay over the phone yes. So we said yes. I started the order with dirty fries. He asked me what protein. I asked him what proteins does he have, he told me the menu was on Yelp. I told him I wanted turkey. He told me to look up the menu on Yelp. I told him "I'm looking at your menu right now and it says turkey." His response was do you have Instagram? I'm like not in front of me right now, it might be faster if you just told me your proteins so we could order now. And then he HUNG UP ON ME. This is not a way to conduct business. I've never had anyone be this rude. It took him LONGER TO EXPLAIN WHERE TO FIND THE DAMN PROTEIN THAN TO TELL ME THE DAMN THING HIMSELF. Also, I called them back immediately after. No answer. What a joke. Don't give business to rude people.

I waited to long to come here honestly!!! This mac and cheese is everything I have been missing from other places. I randomly get Mac and cheese cravings and not for the blue box either. This was on point. And the chicken sliders were crispy and juicy at the same time. Will definitely go back again!!

This place serves up some legit comfort food in a new 2 food cart pod on 99w. We got 3 sliders. The OG, fried chicken, and smoked chicken and Mac and cheese. The fried chicken is made to order so you get the freshest. It was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. Topped with BBQ and pickles. Perfect! The smoked chicken was chock full of smoky meat, cheese, and an onion ring. The OG was filled with Mac and cheese. Seriously who knew Mac and cheese on a bun is the comfort food you never knew you needed. It's amazing. The Mac and cheese was perfectly al dente with a chew in creamy sauce flecked with pepper. So good! The folks here are also super nice. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Smoked spuds with chicken drippings? Count me in!

On Valentine's day I placed an order for pickup, when I arrived I tried to let the person working know I was there for my order but he was unable to come to the window so I waited. After a few moments he called me over and was talking so fast I couldn't understand him, the highway being right next to us didn't help. He was being very rude, and clearly under a lot of stress. I'm not sure what he was trying to tell me, but when I asked for a refund and told him I was unhappy he dropped what he was doing to lean out the window and yell at me, in my face. I tried to explain I just wanted my money back and he turned back around to ignore me. I was confused and a little shocked, I thought I'd have to wait for him to issue a refund so I stood there for a moment. He then yelled at me and told me that I didn't need to wait. I left without any food, and called back the next day to speak to a manager. The same man answered the phone, still extremely rude, and did not care at all about anything I had to say, so he hung up on me. I will not be coming back, even though I LOVE the food. This was completely inappropriate, I've worked in food service myself for years. There's a base level of respect that a customer should expect. Not being yelled at and made to feel threatened is an extremely reasonable expectation.

It was good but definitely overpriced. The Mac and cheese and steak are good, but the shrimp and lobster are just okay. The lobster and shrimp still have the shell on, and the lobster is very tough to eat. It would be better if it was prepped better or just taken out of the shell completely. Be prepared to pay over a hundred dollars. And the cook seemed like he hated life or people. The presentation is probably what sells it.

The Mac's food was good. I ordered the 1 pound order of Mac-n-cheese and the Dirty slider with smoked chicken as my protein. All that was missing was some hot sauce, and they had about 5 different brands, but ALL the bottles were empty. When I asked them for more they instantly replied they were out, without even looking. I find it hard to believe they were ALL out. So I say their customer service was meh, that's a shame too because all the Mac-n-cheese was missing was some Chalula. Nonetheless, the Mac-n-cheese was yummy. the slider was flavorful, I really enjoyed the potato bun they used. Prices are reasonable for the portions.

Overall: Yummy food! Good hefty comfort food. Atmosphere (4/5): At the moment this food truck is located off of 99. The area it's at has tables and plenty of parking spots. Food: (4/5): YUMMY! Got the Mac n cheese and it was delicious. Includes four types of cheese: smoked Gouda, Parmesan, cheddar and sharp. Very creamy, very good. They also have a deal, three sliders for $15. I tried the smoked chicken slider, fried chicken slider, and the hot link slider. One thing I loved about all of them was that their buns were toasted and each one had its only unique aioli/sauce and extras that made each one stand out on its own. I would rate them 1.fried chicken ( had its own Mac bbq sauce, and butter pickles) 2. Smoked chicken (included fried onion and Mac aiol) 3. Hot links. But overall, they were all assembled great. Service (2/5): Yikes. There was two young guys working. The main guy who was working looked like the last place he wanted to be was working at that food card. Did really care, had an attitude, very passive. Definitely one of the worst services I've had. Wasn't mean or aggressive in any way, but just really did not a give a f*** about anyone or anything. When what looked like the owner came by, the guys whole attitude changed and he was much more friendly and welcoming. I kept going back and fourth about whether I should give this food truck 3 stars or 4 stars. I wanted to give it 3 stars because of the awful service, but it deserves the 4 stars because the food was absolutely delicious.

The food was so freaking delicious! Oddly enough we went for the Mac& Cheese but liked the sliders even more. Don't get me wrong though the Mac & Cheese was good too. My fave was the Smoked Pulled Chicken Slider. The meat was so full of flavor and so tender! I loved the Mega Prawns too. We ordered Sliders three fried and three pulled. A pound of OG Mac and add on Prawns. My family of four ate every bite, I ordered just the right amount. Could we have smashed more sliders...yes but we would have been too full in the end. You will have to wait for 10 to 20 minutes but it's worth the wait. We'll be putting The Mac on our list of regulars!

Yum!!!! Got the OG Mac with popcorn chicken and a side of corn. Mac was fantastic. Chicken was juicy and crunchy. I could not get enough!! Easy location to get to. It's in a parking lot of a gas station. Great value and there was plenty of food. Would highly recommend and will be eating here more often!!

The BEST Mac n Cheese I've ever had!! The noodles were perfect! The cheese was soooo creamy and the flavor was off the charts!! If you're driving through Tigard: THE MAC food trailer (parked adjacent to Black Rock Coffee when I was there ) is a MUST stop for a cup of this soul food greatness!! Friendly staff, clean surroundings and easy to park and order!! What are you waiting for???

Moved into a new office in the area and noticed these food carts. Checked out The Mac's menu online and I knew where lunch was happening. Good golly Miss Molly this place is LIT. I went OG Fries (fries topped with Mac & Cheese) topped with smoked chicken. Showed up to get me order. These guys are hospitable. As I left they asked if I wants utensils. I said yes. They handed me chopsticks and started laughing. After a minute they handed me a fork. Love that interaction. People like that will make me come back.

OMG!!! The food is so GOOD! Sooo GOOD!!!so full of FLAVOR it deserves 10 Stars . Thank you for this great experience.

We had our grandchildren over last nite. They wanted to try the mac & cheese food truck. We ordered on-line for delivery by Door Dash, the company the food truck uses exclusively. What a f*****g mistake! 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time - 1 hour later - I started getting phone calls (3 total within 2 minutes) from a number listed on my phone as unknown caller from Albuquerque, NM. No messages left. I looked up the delivery status on-line and saw the Door Dash driver's name and phone number - the same # as the unknown caller. I called and spoke with her. She was at the food truck and reported they hadn't even started our order bc one item was no longer in stock. She indicated the food truck people had told her they attempted numerous times to contact me - complete lies and total bullsh*t. No e-mails. No phone calls. No texts. Nothing. These people are as dishonest with their delivery drivers as they are with their customers. I was offered a new delivery time - probably up to an additional hour - for them to replace my order in their cue and wait for another driver, etc. Obviously, we said No Thanks and strongly suggested she inform Door Dash to red-flag this food truck. She was stuck with no pay/tip. We were stuck with no food. All because of the laziness and dishonesty of the food truck workers. Good news: we went out to a restaurant we've been taking the grandkids since they were infants and had a wonderful meal and time. If you're thinking about using The Mac, only do so if you're willing to go to their truck, order and wait. Hopefully, their food is worth it. I'll never know and never order in-person or on-line from them again. I still feel badly for how The Mac left the Door Dash driver dangling with no pay for her effort, expense and time and offered her only lies.

Tried this place last night. This review will be straight to the point. Pros: * There was nobody in line, my food was made right away. Cons: * The "Dirty Fries" were super soggy. After a few bites, ended up throwing the whole thing away. * The *Boneless Fried Chicken Wings* were flavorless. Non existent flavor in the breading. * The guy working the cart lacked customer service skills. Non personable, seemed irritated that someone ordered food during operating hours. (Nonetheless I still left a 20% gratuity to support a local business) TLDR; the pictures look better than the food itself. No intention of returning. I should've took heed to the reviews ahead of time. 2/5 stars.

Food is good have eaten here in the past. But either the hours are wrong online or they just always open very late. Go out of my way to try and come here multiple times over the last year and they are closed during posted open hours.

Delicious! Highly recommend. The cheese is soooo yummy, a blend of 4 different cheeses. So delish! Can't recommend the chicken thighs enough too!!!

My family of four (2 kids 2 adults) ate dinner here and loved it! Everything we ordered (Mac n cheese, fried chicken, and spuds) were delicious! The portions are so huge it'll feed us for two nights.

Smoked chicken and flavorful mac for the win! My husband was referred to this spot by a coworker and we finally found ourselves on the west side of PDX and hungry. We ordered the OG mac and smoked wings. It was so tasty! They add seasoning to their mac and cheese and it's real creamy. I even got to try some samples of grilled chicken right off the grill and that tasted great, too. If I hadn't already ordered then I would have gotten some of that, too. There was a line of people (pretty consistently) so the wait was pretty long. If you can order ahead of time then I would suggest that. Otherwise, plan for a wait. Overall the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly.

Did my homework, called ahead. Duder who answered the phone expected me to know the menu but there is nothing up to date online. Ok, no worries. One order fried chicken, one order smoked. Fried chicken was ok. Boneless thighs? Not what I was expecting for fried. Now, the smoked chicken? Um... no. Tasted like a bad camp fire. There is a science to smoking meats. I think they were absent that day in school. I did not try the mac. We can all make that at home

We drove by this place several times before deciding to stop and check it out. The menu is quite big for a food cart, with lots of options. We wanted to try the sliders, both the fried chicken and the smoked chicken. We each got our own fried chicken and split the smoked chicken. I was debating on getting a small side of mac so we could try it. But we got the smoked chicken with mac on top instead. I'm so glad I didn't get a whole side. It seemed a little bland to me. The smoked chicken was also a little dry, and it had a flavor I didn't particularly love, but hey, I know from the reviews a lot of people like it. I just like my chicken a little more moist and my Mac to have a bit more flavor. The fried chicken was excellent! It had great flavor and perfect crunch. I added siracha mayo to it and kept the bbq. Next time I think I'll ditch the bbq as it was a bit too sweet for me, but I don't like sweet bbq sauce at all. Other than the bbq sauce, the sandwich was perfection. I'd definitely get it again. We also got two side orders of fries. They're pretty large so you could probably order one and share between two people. The fries are supposed to be twice fried, which when I saw that, I thought they'd be like Belgian Frites, but they're not. They're shoestring-style fries. They were still delicious, and I'd order them again.

This place used to be good and one of our family favorites that we frequently go to until today. So NEVER again going back there anymore. Here is why: 1. Chicken wings were under-cooked and raw. 2. Forces you to order on their website even though I was already there physically and ready to order. Plus, their website is 3% more expensive compared to the prices on the door/window. 3. Not wearing any face mask while interacting with customers and prepping food. 4. Tried to order large Popcorn chicken but it was too messy and time consuming to do. Why put it in the menu if you do not want to make it to your customers? 5. Only 1 hard-working employee on a busy Friday night. I still tipped him because it is not his fault plus he'll probably look for another job.

Best food in the northwest. Unmatched Mac and cheese. I highly recommend the smoked chicken sliders. The people there are amazing and helpful. If you are in the area this is a must try!!

Best Mac and cheese I've had... Period. Great sandwiches, have tried anything bad yet.

Food was good, especially the fried chicken (thighs and popcorn). Mac was decent but not exceptional, and very smokey. The two guys inside the truck weren't wearing masks (even though there were 2-3 folks out back with the smoker who were ‍). I'd give it another shot but not until well after the pandemic since they don't appear to be following basic safety recommendations :(

The owner was very busy in the kitchen. Keep in mind that because of this, it is required that you order your food online via their site beforehand. The food was done in about thirty minutes and that is saying a lot given how much we ordered. The chicken could have had more seasoning (rate : 3), the Mac was nice and had a Cajun flare, the first and second bite were the best with the remaining bites being void of the cajun flare I spoke about earlier (rate : 3).

Followed all covid procedures, fast, and quality Mac and more! I tried the Mac and cheese they use 5+ types of cheese and the price is reasonable for normal size dishes. Kinda small portions on the Mac sides but I will definitely be back to try more, the seafood Macs too hella good!
