We frequent the Fayetteville area to visit family and wanted a change of pace from one of the typical chain hotels we stay in. We loved MacPherson for our one night stay! The bed was very comfortable and delicious breakfast. We loved coffee and cookies upon an easy check-in! The location was great for everything we needed to get to. We would definitely stay again!||Notes:|- We stayed in the Chesnutt room which was second floor on the back of the building - we didn't experience any road noise and slept soundly with our sound machine|- We have two kids (toddler age) who usually travel with us but did not on this trip. While MacPherson is a wonderful place, I wouldn't recommend staying in the house with young kids - consider The Cottage. It's an older home and sound can travel!|- Breakfast was simple but a plenty - we had a veggie quiche, sausage, fruit, coffee and juice!

We had a lovely overnight stay at the MacPherson House B&B. Our room was absolutely beautiful. It was spotlessly clean, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The luxurious touches, like bathrobes and lovely toiletries, made the experience feel extra special. Refreshments were readily available just outside the rooms. Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely presented, very tasty, and served in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

What a delightful stay we had at the Cottage on Hay. It is a lovely separate property just to the rear of the MacPherson House and it is dog friendly. The cottage was super roomy, charmingly decorated, comfortable, and had all the amenities of home. The hosts are very attentive to detail, to the point of stocking some breakfast items and fresh cookies and muffins for us to enjoy. It was very nice to have a full size refrigerator as we were on a road trip and needed to refrigerate a number of items we had packed for our trip. We would have loved to stay more than one day and hope we have the opportunity to do just that in the future. You will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely and seamless experience at the MacPherson House! The house is gorgeous, inside and out, and beautifully restored and maintained. The beds and bedding (a pet peeve of mine!) were first rate! We were comfy, and cozy, and slept well. The sit down repast prepared by jasmine was first rate and more than we expected! Thank you for accommodating our gluten free preferences. We will come again anytime we are in Fayetteville!

Just returned from a one night stay at Macpherson House. Everything was very smooth. Good communication, room was lovely, easy walk to town. Really couldn’t be better. Cookies and drinks were available (and delicious) when we checked in. Room was large and even though it was the top floor, air con worked great. Nice decor, comfy bed. Just doesn’t get better!

We have been fortunate enough to stay at the MacPherson House three times during our trips from Amelia Island, FL back to the Washington, DC area. Each time our stay has been amazing. We are always welcomed with homemade chocolate chip cookies! We always depart with an amazing breakfast! (If you are there on a day that the fried apples are served you are lucky travelers indeed - although any breakfast is delicious!) Try and arrive early so that you can visit the US Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum nearby before check in. The restaurant recommendations made by the property owners are spot-on! We have had wonderful dinners at several places - all within walking distance. It is true that the house is on a busy street and there is some traffic noise - but it dies down early. It is also true that the trains run through Fayettville, but for us we are normally so darn tired we don't even hear them. (The proprietors do provide ear plugs and each room has a 'white noise' machine - but we haven't had to use either!) We will most certainly be back!

The rooms were very clean and the location was fantastic. We were there over July 4th and could watch the fireworks off the front and back balconies. The breakfasts were fantastic. The ladies who cooked were friendly and wanted to always know if we needed anything. We will be staying there on our next trip.

I was traveling down I-95 on a long road trip and looked up local places to stay, The MacPherson House came up, and I am so happy I got to stay. I booked direct, and had immediate access to check-in; the rooms were spacious; the bathroom had all natural amenities; and the property was close to downtown to stop and enjoy a meal. They also displayed their history and pointed to other local businesses in their community as soon as you walk into the lobby. The beds were so comfy and I enjoyed having coffee and cookies around the clock. Definitely stay here if you are looking to support a great local business!

Yelp
I can highly recommend the Dogwood room, although this one has no TV and I could see that being a problem for some. I did hear other guests say the sound of traffic or the train kept them up at night, but I heard nothing in the Dogwood. The entire inn is so gorgeous and charming, very clean and well kept, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was all topped off with a lovely plated breakfast in the morning. The coffee and snack bars around the house are such a nice touch too. It was honestly the best stay I've ever had at any inn or hotel.

Yelp
A little expensive for the area, but lovely room (except for the shower, which was a bit cramped), very peaceful, very easy stay. The bed was also great!

Yelp
Great experience for a weekend. Katy and Michael are great hosts. The location is nice also within walking distance of one of the most revitalized parts of Fayetteville.

Yelp
Our home away from home, stayed here several times and always will visiting Fayetteville! Truly historic, authentic, beautiful 1 of a kind B&B and impeccably clean throughout! Historic downtown Fayetteville's right there, an easy, short walk! Brochures, maps in lobby/foyer (restaurants, things to do). Recommend booking "directly" (we just call) it's faster, best prices! Owners (Katy & Michael) are exceptional, treat you like family and are always available via text or phone. Our preference is a "king bed", all rooms have king and the quality and comfort is phenomenal! 2 covered porches (front and back) we enjoy with beautiful NC weather. Historic downtown Fayetteville's an easy short walk, the B&B's literally on the edge of it. We've stayed in the Dogwood and the Campbellton rooms and look forward to staying in the others (got to see them after check-out!). Highly recommend staying in any room!
