"Catch was once the place to go for a Page Six mention, or at least to spot a model and a D-list celebrity sharing rainbow sashimi pizza. Fast forward a decade or so and even the Housewives refuse to show face at the Meatpacking clubstaurant. But Catch is still plenty busy, and the flashy Pan-Asian food is better than expected for a place that runs primarily on reputation. If a client insists on going to a recognizable spot in the area, you could do much worse. The key to having a good night at Catch the restaurant is by avoiding Catch the rooftop, where you'll need to opt for bottle service or a bouncer's approval to get inside after 10pm. Instead, sit in the swanky, farmhouse-chic dining room on the second floor. The space retains some of the rooftop’s clubby elements, especially the noise level—good luck hearing anything said across your sushi platter. But after-work meetups, grown-up birthday dinners, and even a few strollers keep the Catch dinner scene relatively tame these days. photo credit: Catch NYC photo credit: Catch NYC photo credit: Catch NYC Ordering at Catch requires as much strategy as navigating the seating situation. The menu has no fewer than a dozen dishes with a truffle component, and flavored aiolis overpower many of Catch's sushi rolls. The meal may take your taste buds back to 2012, but not everything is cringey. An over-the-top whole snapper is Catch's best and biggest showpiece. It arrives crispy, upright, and with its mouth agape. And despite being drenched in a rich chili garlic sauce, the tempura-like crust clings to the fish like a group of barnacles. There may never be an admirable reason to eat $35 surf-and-turf sushi at Catch, but there are ways to enjoy the restaurant if you end up going. So when a client who’s a little bummed you didn’t fly them to Vegas suggests this place, lean into the spectacle and crowd-pleasing seafood until (or after) you get that account. Food Rundown Rainbow Sashimi Pizza This combination of words may cause mid-aughts panic. It almost sent us straight back down the elevator into the familiar embrace of our favorite sushiya. But the tuna, salmon, and hamachi spread on a paper-thin wheat crust, with yes, truffle-tomato aioli on top, is pretty good. Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll Your server will try very hard to sell you on this roll. As they list off all of the ingredients—wagyu, lobster that came of age in Maine, truffle aioli, potato, ponzu, chimichurri, tempura flakes—you might be tempted to order it just to conclude the interaction. Don’t give in. It’s like a rich kid’s version of a kitchen sink meal, and a tragic waste of wagyu. photo credit: Catch NYC Catch Roll Catch wisely lends its name to this roll and not the aforementioned wagyu monster. It’s topped with salmon that's just barely seared on top, and a drizzle of miso honey sauce to complement the sweet crab without overpowering it. This is a relatively simple roll compared to the rest of the list, and that’s why it's our favorite. photo credit: Catch NYC Lobster Macaroni Most lobster macaroni tends to be a creamy, thick heartburn hazard, but this one is about 50% percent breadcrumbs, and then it's coated in a thin layer of shiny cheese sauce. Unlike a steakhouse mac, this is light enough to not weigh down the rest of the seafood on the table. Miso Cod Lettuce Cups A retro dish we endorse. The lettuce cups come with whole chunks of cod rather than a chopped filling, and the buttery fish has a noticeable miso flavor. Crispy Whole Snapper The large-format dishes change from time to time. But spring into action if you see this whole fried fish with its mouth agape and patches of crispy crust that give it a fossilized look. The fish is tender and covered with a spicy-ish, fennel-laden sauce. And it's possible you’ll notice it on several other tables while walking to your seat. The Carnival Catch is more fun when you go big, so you should definitely order this two-foot-tall wheel of ricotta donuts, even if you're only with one other person. They come with a chocolate dipping sauce, and cute little squeeze bottles of jam, frosting, and caramel sauce that you can inject directly into the donuts." - Neha Talreja

This restaurant has so many great options. We were a party of 3 and this place had something for each of us. Delicious. We sat outside, the wait wasn't long for a table. Our server was great. The food came out quick and cooked to perfection. We had the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, fried shrimp dinner, Cajun fish dinner, and lobster Cobb salad. It was all amazing. No one left hungry or disappointed. The atmosphere here is beautiful, especially outside in the salt air. I hope to get back to this restaurant in the near future. Definitely recommend. The Lobster Cobb salad was delicious.

This lovely restaurant has a lot of rustic charm and it also offers parking in a busy area of Ogunquit. The menu is robust with a lot of choices, with the highlight being seafood, but they have other items. I got the lobster risotto, and it was absolutely delicious. We also got oysters to split, and they were juicy and fresh. I went with a party of six and everyone enjoyed their meal. Cocktails were also made well and delicious 😋 I had a dirty martini.

Delicious food and the BEST waitress! I arrived at 4pm right when they opened for dinner and I was naturally the first/only one there for a bit. Shannon, the waitress, was the absolute sweetest. She was always at-the-ready to refill when I finished a glass of water, she was so personable when we talked about traveling, and she was knowledgeable when I asked questions about the menu. She even wrote a sweet little note on the receipt pertaining to our conversation about the show I was going to see at the Ogunquit Playhouse later that evening. And the food was delicious too! Just see the photo. :) Highly recommend!

The Maine Catch has so much potential. The food was terrific — everything we ate was delicious — but the service (or lack thereof) left a lot to be desired. Thankfully, we went to The Maine Catch on Saturday with reservations, as they were packed. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of parking; it’s between Perkins Cove and Ogunquit’s Main Street, nestled amidst countless of trees. They have outdoor and indoor seating. From the moment we walked inside and told the hostess we had a reservation, we were met with a cold vibe, very unlike Maine and Ogunquit ( and something you wouldn’t expect at a restaurant of this caliber). Our waitress's service was no better. She seemed checked out, and everything felt very transactional. The food made its way to us quickly—sometimes too quickly, as in the case of the crispy calamari starter—which led to a few misses, like having the food arrive before our drinks. Our waitress just seemed to not care. She’d talk to us in passing and do the bare minimum. It was one of the worst services we’ve seen at a Maine restaurant. The one thing that saved The Maine Catch, and the reason they’re still getting 4-stars, is the food. Our crispy calamari was perfect; not too much breading or super greasy, as is usually the case. The accompanying sauce had a nice kick to it. My partner’s lobster mac and cheese was the best we’ve ever had, and the portion was generous. My blackened salmon, with rice and veggies, was also a 10/10 and probably one of the best salmons I’ve eaten. The rice was cooked to perfection. Would we come back to The Maine Catch? Yes, the food was good enough to keep us coming back, but I do hope they improve their service.

We say outside on a fall evening. Our server was super friendly and energetic. She offered advice on oyster choices and was overall really fun. Grilled Scallops were lovely and the Seafood Newburgh contained tons of lobster and seafood, so much that my husband never touched his potatos.

Went to celebrate a birthday, the place was great for what we were looking for. The staff was friendly, from the greeters to the servers, the food was tasty, and the drinks were refreshingly yummy. Try the lobster Cobb salad, it was great! Give 'em a shot!!! Hope you like it!!!

Google
Most delicious food in the Ogunquit Beach area. Yum! I have to visit every time. Fresh, flavorful, delicious! We enjoyed the Mac and Cheese with Lobster, various sandwiches, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Blackened Seafood Trio and more! Don't pass on the delicious crispy fried cheese. We all loved it!

We enjoyed dinner here on a Monday evening. Lots of restaurants are closed on Mondays so we were pleased to find this spot. I had the Caesar salad and the calamari. The salad was good, the calamari was not crunchy or hot, I would skip this. My Mom had the shrimp (fried) which were good, not over cooked. We shared carrot cake and blueberry pie, they were both excellent. Our server was Analiese, she was friendly and reasonably attentive. We were seated quickly in the bar area at a high top table. The lighting was nice and the music wasn’t too loud which I so appreciate.

Yelp
What a delicious dinner!! Everything was absolutely perfect. Our waitress was excellent and even with my elderly parents asking ridiculous questions and taking forever to answer her, she was still happy and very kind and understanding. We had a little bit of everything on the menu. My husband had oysters and said they were the best he's ever had. My daughter and father each had mussels one with red sauce and one with white wine sauce. They both practically licked the bowls clean. I had a fried haddock sandwich and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend you check out The Maine Catch in Ogunquit!

Yelp
The Maine Catch is located in a cute redone New England styled house front turned restaurant. Although the interior has a darker almost lodge feel to it. Our waitress was above and beyond kind to my friend and I as we were celebrating our shared birthday dinner together. I ordered a muscle scampi which was one of the best scampi dishes I've ever had. My friend order their fish and chips and thought it to be average. Their wheat beer was incredibly good as well. Our dinner concluded with two flans topped off with birthday candles. Overall an amazing experience and one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My only complaint is that their bathrooms are strangely hot. Not that it really affects the dining experience.

Yelp
Came here while we were staying at the Blue Shutters inn last weekend. This was recommended to us by the staff at the inn and it was only a short walk. Very convenient location. We made reservations only a couple hours ahead of time. We were seated upstairs and our server Shannon was amazing- very friendly and nice. We ordered the garden salad which was actually quite a decent portion and nice. I ordered the grilled salmon and the hubs ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. When they brought the entrees- mine was incorrect - was a scallops dish instead of salmon. We told the server and she corrected the order. I ate the salad meanwhile and then the salmon arrived. It came with rice and a side of their kale vegetable medley which was nice. The salmon was tender although there were parts of it that were blackened almost burnt. Hubs liked the Mac n cheese - quite a large portion so he had leftovers. The restaurant seems popular as it was fairly crowded and the ambiance was cozy. Seemed like people sitting at the bar too. Overall good food and great service!

Yelp
Best dinner so far in Maine. From the service to the quality of the food, this is a must go to spot in Ogunquit. I wasn't feeling great from a rough day on a boat, and had the steak - which was delish - but my crew had stuffed lobster, stuffed shrimp, and seafood linguini. Everything was 5 stars, stuffed shrimp was 4. Shannon our waitress was the nicest and most attentive human ever. Pro tip; make a resy/ you won't get a dinner table otherwise. You just won't. Focus on lobster and DO get all the desserts. They are homemade.

Yelp
The cocktails and food are delicious. The towers are great if you have a large table party. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating and a more rustic indoor seating. Our server was ok. He didn't seem patient with 4 kids orders and he didn't take an order correctly. They remedied this by giving us free dessert. The blueberry pie was more like a jelly inside and wasn't really fruity.

Cherie D.

Yelp
Oh my gosh this place was ahmazing!!!!!! Had been driving all day with nothing delicious to eat for the day other than tourist fast food. Called to see their hours and they said they closed in 35 min. I hated to be the last table but was really in a bind for good food and new to the area and being from the west coast (time change) I was starving. They were really so kind to us and everything tasted delicious. We were quick to order to help them out. Our drinks were delicious and when I say our food was delicious. I'm not exaggerating. Everything tasted great and that stuffed lobster with bacon, scallops shrimp. Omg!!!! It was like heaven in my mouth. Thank you for the delicious meal and not being short with hungry travelers coming in late in the day.

Yelp
Quick friendly service , very intimate cute indoor and outdoor seating , easy parking or walkable from many little inns and resorts on Shore road with delicicous food sums up The Maine Catch The blackened Salmon and Pan seared Halibut were our picks for dinner and did we not live it . Delicately flavored the fish spoke for itself ! It was cooked perfectly a gentle nudge and fit would break away. The side of rice , kale with veggies and broccoli rabe plus parsnip purée was everything that was needed to complete our meal. We were completely sold on the fish that I missed mentioning the plain Jane fried calamari appetizer though the pepper relish on the side was a bomb This is a sea food lovers paradise . Don't miss it if you are in Ogunquit.

Yelp
A cozy atmosphere with delicious food. I had the clam bucatini and it was so so good. The ultimate "linguine with clam sauce." Our server Mike was great too, and gave us some local travel tips.

Yelp
We went to this place on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy but the only thing is they lost my reservation So my time got pushed back which is a little annoying. However, I was excited to be sitting outside because it was a gorgeous night and you don't get many more of those around here. My mom got the lobster roll and she liked it She did say it tasted lemony. My son got the chicken fingers and he also like them. I got the Bob fried clams I don't personally think you get enough for $40 but they were really good. I would definitely be back and make reservation next time

Yelp
The Maine Catch describes itself as a casual fine dining establishment. This family-friendly eatery features rustic and modern decor with many references to the sea like buoys, portholes, and lobsters. My cocktail glass was chilled with ice while the bartender shook and crafted the cocktail. While I enjoy a cold glass, this method is not my favorite because it usually leaves the glass somewhat wet. The olives were sized well and tasty. The drink was strong and enjoyable. The Maine oysters were shucked clean and tasted exquisite. My lobster roll entree was fine, slightly small with average fries. Also, since this lobster roll was just okay, there are others available in the area that I would recommend enjoying instead.

Michael S.

Yelp
Excellent local oysters (four varieties) - #1 choice in Ogunquit. Well schuked and ice cold with little tooth pick markers saying their names ($3.50 each) Penne Fra diavolo was a small portion of spicy pasta with large grape tomatoes and not enough broccoli rabe. The pasta was slightly overcooked $18 but still had a great taste. Bob's fried clams with homemade fries, coleslaw and tatar sauce were super fresh and lightly breaded - fried tender. The fries were excellent- the MP of $40 was a bit steep, but I guess fresh clams must be expensive? Our server Barbie was excellent- nice airy garden atmosphere.

Brian L.

Yelp
Another year in Ogunquit and another 2 stops at the Maine Catch. Steamers here in our opinion are best in town. The lobster Cobb is to die for, and the blackened salmon was delicious. Will certainly come back next year.

Monty H.

Yelp
Very good food, crab cakes were quite tasty and the service was really good, a lil expensive, but that's kinda the normal in Ogunquit area. We went for our 45th Anniversary. A good evening and would recommend it..

Joey D.

Yelp
Great place. Was recommended by a 50 year local resident. He was right. Fresh seafood. I'll be back. For those researching a yummy place for seafood especially lobster in Ogunquit. Research no more. Go here. It's great.

Sharon A.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the side dishes were excellent. I'm not sure if there was any lobster in the stuffed shrimp but they were still good. My friend wasn't impressed with the dinner but he's not into food like me. Service was good.

Patty S.

Yelp
The meal was delicious. Clam Chowder was wonderful. Creamy with a great clam flavor and content. I had the baked stuffed shrimp with crab stuffing. Shrimp were perfectly cooked, stuffing was delicious. The rice side was tasty as was the vegetable medley. The servers were pleasant. They could maybe use a little more training in terms of how to serve. But everyone was lovely. And frankly, I'd rather have a pleasant server than a perfectly trained one.

Charna D.

Yelp
Great find ! Food was amazing, server was friendly and attentive . My only negative comment , was the Hostess . Walking in , seeing a mature looking woman , we considered she might be the owner, due to the way she carried herself and spoke to staff . I informed her we were a little early for a reservation. She was rude and snapped , " You'll have to wait till your time." We didn't mind or expect otherwise . I asked her another question, she gave me a short answer with a nasty tone. Must have been having a bad day. However , in the restaurant business, I personally do not feel that should be apparent to customers. Other than the lovely woman at front desk , everything was amazing . Well worth shrugging off a bad attitude.

Heidi H.

Yelp
This place was an excellent find! Everyone we go to Ogunquit, we are afraid to try anything other than our old stand bus. Thankfully, we took a chance on this place! Top notch service, drinks and food. Brussels sprouts are not to be missed and the stuffed lobster was amazing. Lobster Newburg was super delicious and the veggies were super fresh and so yummy. We will definitely be back!!

Jason B.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed our evening dining here. Pros: large parking lot (not easy to find in ogunquit), extensive menu including seafood and other options. The oysters we had (bayside and norumbega) and the clam chowder were above average. Service is friendly and quick. Good beer and drinks choices. Online reservations. Cons: I enjoyed the taste of the seafood newburg but didn't love the version they did - it was essentially a soup in a skillet with bread crumbs on top. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant to visitors of the area.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Oysters, lobster risotto, & lobster roll were INCREDIBLE. definitely recommend!

Carlotta C.

Yelp
Delicious and quaint find a few steps away from the busy downtown Ogunquit. My boyfriend and I had a reservation but we noticed that walk-ins were still possible. We were sat on the restaurant's patio, and our server Kenroy was very friendly and set a good vibe for our dinner. We started with some Maine oysters and some calamari, which were fine. I also had a white sangria which was very refreshing and went very well with our fish-based dishes. The star of the show was the spaghettoni with clams. They had a slight kick, so just be aware of that if you're sensitive to spice. Otherwise, the saltiness of the clams were perfectly balanced by a light garlic, wine and parmesan sauce. The spinach was also a nice touch. The spaghettoni itself were cooked just over al dente, making for a great dish to close a day in this beautiful town.

Joseph D.

Yelp
Service was very good and food was terrific. Oyster selection was excellent and they were delicious. Got halibut special and it came with a saffron sauce over whipped parsnips. Inventive and super tasty. Great spot in Perkins Cove!!

Kelly S.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to enjoy fresh seafood when I'm in town! A quick walk from our hotel, this place always delivers. We usually sit at the bar, bartenders have become like friends... great recommendations and drinks to sample. They do have a few outside seating to enjoy a drink and the night weather. I love their lobster roll, oysters and fish n chips. Sometimes we order set a bunch of food and share. Great beers on draft, always some delicious local tasty ones to try.

Monica L.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. Tonight, I tried the baked haddock with crab stuffing. It was delicious. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake which was very good. My husband said his fish and chips was probably the least greasy, and one of the best, he has ever had.

P S.

Yelp
Everything was so fresh and the mussels and shrimp fra diavlo some of the tastiest. Very cool Post and beam interior. Great fro friends and family, casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Joe M.

Yelp
The place was very nice and really rustic. We had 5 different types of oysters and shrimp cocktail, both super fresh and fantastic. We had penne fra diablo with shrimp and the lobster risotto, both great. We had the blueberry pie for dessert and it was ok. The waitress was very nice but what caused the four stars was the fact that she forced us into ordering our dinners. When I explained we wanted to get through the raw bar appetizers, she said oh don't worry I won't put it into the kitchen until I come pick up your empty tray. Well needless to say, we didn't get the shrimp with our oysters and then received our dinners at the same time we get our shrimp cocktail. I'd like to feel she wasn't rushing us but it felt that way when her promise to us didn't follow through. She blamed the kitchen and other staff. In the end, the atmosphere was great and so was the food so I would go back again and not make the same mistake of ordering everything together.

Pamela M.

Yelp
Food and service were top notch as was the selection of craft beers. That said my dessert, and ONLY my dessert was way overpriced. $10 for a slice of blueberry pie strikes me as over-the-top so ala mode it cost $11.50!

Ray V.

Yelp
Beyond spectacular! Fabulous service from hostess, Nikki, greeting though freshly brewed coffee and creamy coconut cake. The "bakers dozen" oysters were very well presented with a divine rendition of mignonette and a not overly "horseradish'd" cocktail sauce. Beautiful restaurant, although we ate outside on a perfect evening in the very well appointed garden inspired outdoor dining area. Cocktails were well served and, happily, "pre-Covid" portioned!! I would however recommend they apply more suitably sized "larger" olives in the Martinis. I had the absolutely very best seafood Newburgh I've ever had and my wife throughly enjoyed her well crafted crab stuffed haddock. This has to be one of the very best restaurants in the area and on site parking this close to Perkins Cove is yet another plus...

Graham P.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service this past weekend! The salmon was so fresh and cooked to perfection, the blackened trio was delicious, and a nice space for the ambiance

Jill M.

Yelp
The best lobster roll we had on our trip. blueberry pie was delicious. Fast service. Very cute place. We made our reservation on OpenTable. Our waitress was so nice. We will absolutely be back!

Dana C.

Yelp
Great food, service and ambience. Off of beaten path, which is nice. Seafood dishes are a must.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Food was terrible. Clam chowder so watery and tasted canned. Glassware from the 80s. A fifteen dollar glass of wine should not be served in low level outdated glassware. Order came out wrong twice. Menu description inaccurate for dish. Service sub par. This place is posing as upscale but is 1000% not. Worst meal in Ogunquit.

Lisa S.

Yelp
I've been here twice so far and the food has been consistently good. The clam chowder is one of the best. The chowder has a rich clam flavor with a good amount of clams. The stuffed lobster was stuffed with seafood (shrimp, scallops, clams not stuffing as what we expected) served with creamy mash and a mix of summer squash cooked perfectly. The baked scrod is good if you want something on the lighter side. The dish paired well with rice pilaf and buttery summer squash. Nice outdoor patio seating and good service.

Larry S.

Yelp
What a pleasant meal! Enjoying the food, sitting outside ambiance and the server was truly amazing (OF!). I enjoyed the shrimp scampi as I liked tasting the parsley as well as the right amount of garlic. The shrimp was done perfect, so easy to overcooked. Kuod's! Baked haddock, simply done was delicious. Pours were good and pricing appropriate. Loved the blueberry cake dessert! One issue with the host and check in process. why make a big deal of making reservation, adjusting our requested time, and then seeing an open outside and then reminding the host we wanted outside seemed a disconnect. So often the first impression can put you off for the rest of the meal, back to the comment on the server - she saved the day and made the meal a memorable event.

Bob M.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch today, ate indoors and social distancing was observed by the separation of tables indoors. Outside seating was available as well. Not super busy so not sure what it would be like if they were crowded. Seated promptly but only one server working both indoors and out which made service a little slow. But the server was pleasant and did a nice job. We ordered the clam chowdah, side of onion rings, fried scallops, and whole belly clams. The entrees came with a huge portion of waffle fries, coleslaw, and tarter sauce. Took awhile fir the food to arrive and was disappointed that everything came out at once versus getting the chowdah before the entrees. But having said that nothing disappointed! The chowdah was one of the best I've had. Plenty of clams, well cooked potatoes in a nice light creamy chowdah. Oyster crackers were served on the side. Definite 5 here.Expected a cup of chowdah but got a full bowl for a very large portion which continued throughout the meal. The onion rings were coated in a nice light beer batter and were the largest onion rings we've ever seen. Great flavor and texture. Serving was very large. Another 5. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the portion followed everything else, large! Needless to say a 5 here. The whole belly clams were excellent. Large portion of small bellies (miss the large bellies we used to get eons ago) so no need to worry about going hungry. 5 here. Waffle fries were nice and crispy and could have been shared between two people rather than just one. Fries get a 5. Coleslaw was of the 'dry' variety. Flavor was okay but not good enough to finish it. Maybe a 3 here at best, just not my taste. Overall a great place to eat. The only thing I would say is reduce the portion size on the waffle fries to eliminate waste and goose up the moisture in the coleslaw. Definitely will be a go to place next time we are in town.

Marushka G.

Yelp
Good food, great service, friendly. We went there when we were staying at Meadowmere on Labor Day weekend. It got great reviews so we decided to try it. The seafood is fresh. We both had the lobster tail and the only thing I'd say for feedback is that it wasn't that generous a portion. The tail didn't seem as full as other lobster I tried. The service and flavor made up for it:

Jenni F.

Yelp
Best food, wait staff and ambiance. We made a 7:15 Reservation and we're seated promptly. The hostess was pleasant, waitstaff attentive. The drinks are strong!! The clientele at the bar were a little snooty and when leaning in for a drink... pretty rude but over all the Maine Catch is amazing and a must try when in OGT! Get the filet with mushroom sauce!!

Gary M.

Yelp
Our waitress/ bartender was Annallese. She was fantastic not only taking care of the bar but also serving the food at the bar. The food was VERY good and the music was also very good. We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.

Diane B.

Yelp
Best lobster roll during our Maine trip!! They buttered and toasted the split top roll and jam packed it with tender lobster! Still thinking about it today! So many good lobster rolls and this one was fantastic!!

Mike E.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Recommend the lobster roll with clam chowder and the pasta diavalo

Michael M.

Yelp
The best seafood dinner we had while visiting Ogunquit. The newly opened restaurant glowed with a beautiful interior decor, which we chose to sit inside. There is ample outside seating to enjoy the great weather. Then there's a large bar to also sit and enjoy. We had a delicious dinner which included raw oysters, lobster crostini, crab cakes, baked haddock and seafood Newburg. My favorite were the oysters and lobster crostini. I also enjoyed 3 different cocktails and favored the Blue mule the most. Then to top it off we did have blueberry pie with ice cream. Our service was good, friendly and attentive. The Maine Catch is sure to be a popular place for all.

Brian M.

Yelp
I put off writing this review hoping my heart grew fonder, but my experience remains disappointing. For such high price points, we expected a higher level of service and atmosphere. Our waitress got our order wrong twice (wrong oysters, wrong drinks) and served us warm white wine. Things got weird when we mentioned the order errors. Most places/most servers would've immediately removed the erroneous items from the table. Not our waitress - she left them there and vanished. She never said where she was even going. She came back a minute later saying that (in both cases) they were "out" of our original ask and the kitchen gave us the "closest next thing." When we got the bill however, it seemed the closest thing was more expensive - and they charged us for that without even asking if we wanted that option. Elsewhere, only the shucker seemed to know what he was doing. We witnessed people complaining about the wait for water, the bill, etc. A waitress who was covered in sweat - and dripping sweat - not great for a restaurant. After ordering our apps, a different waitress came over to ask about drinks, though we'd already ordered them. Just pretty messy service wise, all around. The food was very good (shrimp was delicious, steak was great), as was my martini, but if would've been even better if the restaurant was playing better music. Though I'm a 90s lover, there's just something bizarre and distracting about eating steak and seafood and dirty martinis in a ski-lodge-barn-esque place to the tunes of Paula Abdul, La Bouche and Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch. Seriously? We weren't feelin' it.

Yelp
We were looking for a local seafood place along the south east Maine coast. The Yelp reviews for the Maine Catch Looked really good so we stopped here while driving north. We were not disappointed, it was off the path of the busiest part of Ogunquit, So Parking was easy and we got a table right away. We have the muscles in a cream sauce for an appetizer, brought it home, It will make a great soup later! Kim had a clams in the bouteille pasta, I had the seafood newberg, both excellent and huge servings! My only slight complaint was it took forever to get our wine order.

Yelp
We just had dinner here and I can't say enough great things about The Maine Catch. We were greeted right away with a nice welcoming waitress and host and the hostess kindly moved us to a table on the patio with more shade when requested. Our waitress, Barbie from Jamaica (we love Jamaica), was so nice and friendly. My husband got the Maine style Lobster Roll with Mayo and I got the Connecticut style Lobster Roll with Warm Butter. I did ask Barbie for more drawn butter which she brought right away. The Beer Battered Onion Rings are awesome, they come with a delicious dipping sauce. So far, this is our favorite restaurant that we've eaten dinner at and we highly recommend them!! FYI - Doug T's one star review is so unfair. We were on the patio at the same time and they were upset because they felt like they waited too long and then made a scene storming out of the restaurant. Their waitress was super nice and was getting another table's food from the kitchen. They were complainers from the start and made a comment about how they were put beside heaters the past two nights at different restaurants, so they were thankful they weren't sat beside a heater tonight. They're the type of people who will complain online because they're cowards to say something in person. You both looked like fools storming out and making a scene.

Yelp
Decided to try The Maine Catch after a couple different people had recommended it. I checked out the menu online first and saw they had a lot of options that appealed to everyone in my family and high ratings. It was easy and convenient to book a reservation online and there was open availability only one day in advance. The prime dinner times seemed to diminish online with less than 24 hrs but there were still plenty of tables outside when we were leaving. Still better to be safe than sorry especially once the summer season is in full effect. They have a private parking lot on site and parking was adequate. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and modern. Service was good. Prices were average to high. However, I found the portions to be on the small side and the food was somewhat underwhelming. I had the exact same experience as another reviewer so I would not recommend the calamari or the bucatini and clams. The calamari was small rings in a bland coating. The only redeeming part was the cherry pepper relish which had a nice kick. The sauce on the bucatini was tasty but there were only 6 small clams in the dish and they were all blown to shreds in the shell. I tried a taste of the lobster mac and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor but thought it could have had a bit more lobster. Overall not a bad experience but also nothing to boast about.

Yelp
We had a 7pm reservation and were seated immediately. Our waitress was a pleasure, very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I both had the grilled scallops. They were great. I requested two additional scallops with my entree which they accommodated. Kids menu was a bonus. Both enjoyed their meals. The upstairs dining room was a bit odd because of the low ceilings, but they did a good decorating it. We would consider again because the food and service were excellent.

Yelp
I was blown away by The Maine Catch. It felt like a brand new restaurant with a charming barn feel. We started with the stuffed clams, calamari and crab cakes for appetizers. I would highly recommend the clams and crab cakes. Both were extremely flavorful and I'll order the next time I'm back. My dish was the crowd favorite (the bucatini and clams). Each bite was so rich and fresh. I'll be back for more

Yelp
Nice servers and decor, plenty of parking, great food, best of all they took reservations. I had the clams and bucatini, nice garlic flavor and good clams. Wife got the lobster risotto which was also very good. Son got a grilled cheese. I got to use the uneaten sandwhich as an extra piece of toast to soak up the sauce, a nice treat.
