The Mami House

Ironic that the one place I thought would be mediocre, actually ended up being the best in town! The main reason I was avoiding it, is because I thought it would be one of those cheap Asian takeout places, but this is actually a proper restaurant. The location is a bit strange, as it's located inside an apparent building, but the establishment itself is very nice and clean and the food was much better then expected, and the price was reasonable too. My favorite were the dumplings, fried chicken and vanilla ice cream. Their vanilla ice cream may have been the best I've ever had. Whatever the brown sauce was, was really good. The pork belly bits were my least favorite. They were out of cheese cake. Great ambiance, and the upstairs section was a lovely touch. One of the only non-Indian restaurants in this part of town. We ate here on our last evening and regretted that we didn't try this place sooner.

I was really excited to go here while we were in NF. I was excited to try their Mami but was immediately let down. I had somewhat of a high expectation going in as other reviews were raving about how good the food was. To sum it up, the food needed flavor and service was sub-par.

Cute restaurant find! The food was amazing! And the Halo Halo to-go was sooo good; Don’t let the ingredients deter you! I got the fried pork belly and savory chicken combo plate and my bf got the Goto rice porridge! Both were amazingggg! The only complaint I had was that I wish the server checked on us more, we were left waiting for the check for like 15-20mins, but she seemed busy and was super sweet regardless of the wait. Overall, they are a great place to try!

I enjoyed their dishes. Although it's rare to find an authentic Philippines restaurant in the states, their dishes were similar to those I had in Manila. Halo-Halo also reminded me of my trip to the Philippines. The only thing I was disappointed about is that they did not offer any alcoholic drinks.

It's a quaint, little restaurant that is so cute on the inside. I loved the decor and loved the food even more. I had a combo plate with chicken and fried pork belly for my entree. Calamari for my appetizer and the Filipino Purple Yam Ice-Cream for dessert. It was divine. The food was very well seasoned and came out quickly. Portion size was very good and I enjoyed every single bite. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. Oh, the spring rolls....Lord have mercy, the spring rolls! They were magnificent.

Loved it here. Close walk from Visitor center. The food was just perfect. Every thing we ordered actually tasted delicious. The staff is also very sweet and welcoming. The cost seemed reasonable. Must check out the restaurant if in the area! Highly recommend it!

We stayed in Niagara Falls and found this place on maps hidden away. The food was super good and the staff was friendly! I would recommend the Mami House soup, which is a really clean and tasty broth and the grilled pork belly/beef short ribs. I added a medium cooked egg on top of my rice to kick it up! The kids loved the rice and savory chicken. The atmosphere of the restaurant was super tight with mainly locals eating inside. Everyone seemed happy and eating all different dishes! They had a world map on the wall with a little box of pins for people to pin where they are from. I thought that was pretty cool.

Food is goooood here! It’s a cute place. The atmosphere is a bit quiet, except for the music that doesn’t really do anything good. But if you wanna have a quick bite when you’re visiting Niagara Falls, this is a great choice! MNP

My husband found this place and we really wanted to give it a try since we been trying to find a good Filipino restaurant around. It was a little far but worth the trip to try it out. I don't know if there is a parking lot but we parked on the street and we didn't have issues finding a spot. When we went it wasn't too busy but as we finished our meal it got busy. We both ordered the combination platter. Everything was good. I liked the pork belly but it was a little too dry to my liking. Love the lumpias, always my favorite thing to order at a Filipino restaurant. My husband really enjoyed his meal. We also got the halo halo and that hit the spot for me.

Excellent, authentic Filipino food served by friendly staff. Feels like a family business. The lumpia are outstanding, and we loved all the noodle bowls we tried! Reasonably priced in an area where so many prices are jacked up for tourists.

Came to Niagara for vacation with my family & found a hidden gem just minutes from the Falls. Husband is part Filipino so we came with his mom just for some halo halo & ube ice cream cause we were in the area but decided to go back another time to try the food. The 2nd time was probably the best experience food was very flavorful and the chicken mami was a good portion size. Unfortunately my husband who is vegetarian didn't have alot of options. The flan and halo halo (the second time) was awesome! I wish the halo was in a wide rim glass so it's easier to mix with out being so messy but we still enjoyed it very much. We came late & with a noisy baby but the staff was very accommodating & kind to our son.

Nothing to complain, portion is a bit small but taste are good, service and atmosphere are good, it's a decent choice if you visit this area. Recommend sizzling sisg.

Family and I went to Niagara to celebrate New Years, and we knew we had to go to the Mami House. Food quality was on par with our usual spots in Woodside. I especially enjoyed their pork bbq. Service was warm and friendly, and they were able to accommodate our large group.

Amazing! My wife and I were in Niagara for the weekend and happened to find this amazing little authentic Filipino restaurant! The food tasted so authentic and delicious if we had more time we would've been back however we didn't find this until the last night here... The atmosphere was very cute, quiet and peaceful with a lot of decor from the Philippines which is exactly what we were hoping for. My wife said it reminded her of Home. The young lady, serving us was so friendly and attentive to our table! There was literally nothing that we did not like about this place! If you are from around here, make it a regular spot. If you are traveling, you must try it before going home!

I came here solo after a long day hiking the Niagara Falls Gorge Trail so they seated me at the bar. It was a bit busy with some families still ordering, so I got the menu and water a few minutes after sitting down. No biggie. They have a TV playing football at the bar, so it didn't feel like a formal restaurant (which I like). I ordered the pancit noodles and a side of pork lumpia, which tasted good but portions were on the smaller end - maybe because they're used to tourists eating here? I found both dishes to be on par with the Filipino food I'm used to eating. The bathroom here is something to note - it was on the nicer end of bathrooms and easily accessible from the restaurant. Service was fine - I wish I had time to try their desserts as it looked like they had some interesting items on the menu but alas, the train was calling me home.

If you can't quite get yourself invited to Filipino fam parties, just go here lol. Astronomically strong Filipino auntie vibes from staff. Pretty tasty Filipino food albeit the lumpia from the chicken skewer/fried pork belly combo plate had too much Magic Sarap seasoning (or equivalent) in it lol. MSG-tastic. If you're a fan of Jollibee pancit palabok you'll love the pancit palabok here; tastes similar but much more hearty with the very plump shrimp and a good amount of fried pork belly topping chunks. Mentioning more about the combo plate, the meat was tender and the garlic rice (rice upgrade) was aggressively garlic-salt-seasoned, which I loved. The halo-halo was rather disappointing because although the portion of each ingredient at the bottom of the cup was right, the size of the ube ice cream scoop on top was way too small! With Filipino restaurants being a bit rare it's nice that there's one in the Niagara Falls area and it's overall a really decent one!

We ordered takeout for lunch from here. They were fairly quick with our order and no mistakes on it. The restaurant was clean and welcoming and the waitress was kind and accommodating during the process. We had been driving all day, so the food was perfect for some comfort food when we were tired. Their broth was delicious and mildly seasoned. I could have drank the broth as a beverage it was so healing tasting!

It was delicious it was close to Niagara fall walking distance. It was so good and everything had a lot of flavor all my family enjoyed it

Hands down the best lumpia we have had in a long time. We tried both the vegetable and pork and loved both. The vinegar sauce for the vegetable lumpia was new for us and provided a tangy flavor. The seafood Mami was FULL of seafood, portion sizes were large. This was perfect for a cold and rainy day. The broth was excellent. My husband had the meat Mami and raved about it as well. He ate the majority of his and literally slurped down the broth. Service was excellent!

Traveling and finding a good place to eat in s our priorities every time we travel is a must Find this local home Mami House in the heart of niagra is so wonderful. Just little disappointed with there vegetable menu. I can tell the vegetable they used in my order is frozen not fresh!! Maybe costco branch the frozen one.. pls but more menu of vegetables in ur menu. but the over loaded pares its Service is good friendly owner and waitress is so nice Place is clean relaxing ..

Filipino Cuisine [Niagara Falls NY] Before heading back to the airport in Buffalo (BUF) we had lunch here at the Mami House in Niagara Falls. We had a challenging time finding the place. The signage attached to the building on 3rd Street was small and not very easy to tell. Had I not seen the portable outdoor folding sign we wouldn't have been able to locate the place. The place was unassuming. Well, once we were inside the door we felt a little better as we have been craving for Filipino food. The lone server signaled to us that we can sit anywhere. He was tending to another customer. We ordered Bistek and Pork Adobo and upgraded our white rice to Garlic Fried Rice for an additional $1. Finally, we topped off our meals with a Halo-halo even though we were so full already. Gotta always make room for dessert LoL! Service was good. I loved the bistek, the meat was tender and flavorful, but the pork adobo had more fat than meat. The restaurant was clean with a second level for more seating. The bathrooms were outside, like even before you enter the restaurant. Overall, pleasant experience at Mami House. Review #3022

An excellent local place. The staff are friendly and polite. The food was great. We had the Veggie Lumpia, Fried Siomai, chicken adobo and ube ice cream. Don't forget to get the pineapple juice (it's one of the best). Every dish tasted good. I would highly recommend the place. Not super touristy.

We went last night and called if they can accommodate a party of 20. They said yes and so we quickly went since we were 10 minutes away. We were seated and had to order right away. They didn't have some items which is understandable but they didn't let us take it out of the order and had to order something else. Some food came very late like the beef pares soup. We were all done with the food and this comes with the halo halo. The food was okay but wouldn't go back.

This little restaurant hidden in a corner at Niagara Falls NY is a hidden gem in a quiet corner. Excellent Filipino food for hungry travelers who are familiar with popular Filipino food.

Service is good, but the food is not authentic and quite fusion. It's more on the salty side and the portion is relatively small.

Came here on a sweltering summer day; restaurant was hot and humid for dine-in; the staff was sitting near the counter and mentioned for us to take any booth seats; it's really hot; no water was given until a wait staff was flagged over. Wanted to quickly order the meal and just leave; ordered the Lumpia/ Fried Calamari, Beef Pares/ and some deep fried Pork Bellies. Maybe it's cause I've been to some good Filipino places within the inner NY city (Woodside Queens), dishes that I ordered here lacked flavor; Couldn't really get to enjoy the meal while sweat was rolling down my back and impossible to get any staffs attention. The Halo-Halo tasted okay, but then again I had really good ones in Queens.

Another update: Had another amazing visit! This time I tried the sizzling sisig... WOW! Soooo good! Tons of flavor and a little bit of everything in each bite. Might order an extra egg with it next time (comes with one already). Will absolutely order this again sometime! Very filling too!

This was such a great find. The short ribs are excellent! Wish I would have tried a noodle dish. The Filipino ice cream made with yam was delicious. Even my husband who is not an adventurous eater enjoyed it. It reminded me of cereal milk ice cream but purple. The cookies had a hint of coconut. So good!

To be fair, we were there on the Sunday night before the eclipse. Place was packed. Service was pretty uneven. We had reservations and got to sit 'upstairs'. Didn't quite understand the menu. Not quite sure what we were ordering. Can't say I've ever been to a Filipino restaurant. My bad. Not sure our server would have been able to help. We ordered a la carte. What we got was good. Not amazing, but good. And not just good, likely very authentic home cooking (like getting a hot roast beef sandwich plate at a kick ass diner) but we didn't really know what we were ordering! We had Pancit Canton, chicken adobo, Pinoy steak. Thing is, that's what we got. Chicken, beef, and some thing like Cantonese chow mein. Didn't know to order veg and starch sides. Got through it. We'll def go back. Should have got combo plates and their signature soup for a first timer but didn't. So, the place was unique in atmosphere. Food seemingly quite authentic home cooked, but you have to know what to order!

An absolute yes. Hidden away near Niagara Falls you'll find this gem of a restaurant. They have a dedicated parking lot with a few limited spots, but there are multiple garages and street parking nearby as it's in the tourist area for the falls. Inside it has two floors and we tucked in at a booth just under the stairs. They have a small and easy to read menu that we found plenty of delightful things on. Get the lumpia, it's a must. The rice dishes were amazing! The staff was quick to greet us and ensure we had all our questions answered. Meals were sizable and very reasonably priced. The food was sooooo good! Overall: A+ Off the beaten tourist path, but a must try detour for great eats.

Best Asian food I have ever had. Women was very nice also that took our order . Combo meals with the pork belly amazing. Noodle dish fantastic . Wish they had this place in southern New York .

Oh hell i'm a filipino and was discriminated by my own people The waitress was rude and impatient to us while all smiles and hospitable to all other non filipino customers. i don't understand why girl ? learn some manners !

Delicious food and friendly service. The food came out fast and everything was served HOT. I ordered the bistrk and it was delicious. My friends all enjoyed their food. The apps were delicious too. And they validate parking! I'll be back, soon!

Was there for dinner yesterday. A bit pricy in my opinion for what it was but I suppose not much Filipino food in this area.

My husband and I were starving after walking around in Niagara Falls for hours exploring the area. We visited the first week of November, so it seemed like most restaurants were closed during this time of year and there' wasn't much on the NY side of Niagara Falls in terms of good food (especially sit-down restaurants). We had the lumpia, savory chicken, garlic rice, and goto. Overall, everything tasted delicious. The chicken was simple, but very crispy and nicely cooked, and the garlic rice went nicely with it. The goto was comforting on a cold day. The place wasn't busy when we dined there, so everything came out quickly. I recommend visiting this spot when you're looking for some good comfort food!

Liked this place so much we came twice in the span of 2 days! Great small-owned Filipino restaurant with reasonable prices. There's a lot of variety, so we were able to order completely different dishes both times around and didn't feel like anything was too similar. Service was friendly and quick, which we appreciated after a long day of walking. I would recommend the lomi mami, sisig, and garlic fried rice. My mom really liked the pork lumpia, but the portion was quite small imo. Regardless, great authentic flavors and food is well seasoned. Portion sizes were also really generous, especially if you order the plates. I'd recommend making it out to Mami House, especially if you're staying near the casino/on the outskirts of downtown. It's one of the better options in the area for sure!

Amazing food and relaxing atmosphere! Came here on the fourth and was sure it would take a while but food was out fast and piping hot. Couldn't be happier with the speed of service. Everything tasted great and fresh.

So excited to finally have a local Filipino restaurant! Stopped in for a quick dinner with a few friends in between wedding festivities and tried a few of my fave filipino dishes and they were delicious! It's been a challenge to find a spot on the East coast US that recreates authentic filipino food so far from the Philippines but can't wait to come back here and try the rest of the menu.

Fantastic food! Well worth walking through the rain today from the Falls park and avoiding underwhelming, overpriced food at a chain.

For some reason I had heard this was Malaysian so was surprised to see all the Filipino items, but Yelp is telling me Filipino so it all makes sense now! I loved the spring rolls, my husband's noodle dish was good but we were expecting spicier (probably due to my previous experience with nuclear Malaysian noodle soup)I had ordered (or thought I ordered?) a combo of the chicken and short ribs but ended up with just the big chicken - I didn't want to waste food and I honestly wasn't sure if it was my error or our servers so I just kept it. It was moist and flavorful but way too much of just one thing, so i would have liked to try the short ribs. A lot of the noodle dishes sounded good but I was trying to eat more protein. All in all I would come back and moderate my expectations to the actual cuisine of the restaurant :). And maybe get a noodle dish, diabetes be damned.

We found this restaurant out of curiosity of our friends from Canada. When you come into the restaurant it's very clean and inviting. It's very warm inside the restaurant and was greeted with a smile by the younger gentleman. He gave us a few minutes to look at menu and we began to start our orders . We had a party of 8 and the service very quick. We ordered a lot of food and the food came out very quick . The food was served hot and fresh . I can honestly this restaurant is worth the try . It's only been open one year and it's the only filipino restaurant in Western Buffalo New York. One of things I always complain with in Filipino restaurants is the service occasionally them not coming back to the table but not this time . The young gentleman was on all over the place .

This restaurant is nothing fancy, but very clean and inviting. The service was very good and the food fantastic. The prices are great especially when you get your food, you are getting a great deal! Would definitely eat here again!!

I found the interior to be quite charming, cozy, and inviting, creating an enjoyable ambiance for dining. However, the service and food quality left much to be desired. In particular, when ordering rice dishes, the main portion or meat section consistently arrived first, followed by a frustrating 5-10 minute wait for the accompanying rice. This delay resulted in the meat becoming cold and soggy by the time the rice was served. When the rice finally did arrive, it was quite disappointing. There was a mix of uncooked, raw rice interspersed with cooked rice. Some portions were excessively soggy, while other areas were unacceptably dry. Additionally, no plates or bowls were provided, necessitating that we fetch them ourselves. The server did not check on us during our meal or offer to refill our water. Overall: Despite the inviting atmosphere, the poor service and subpar food quality were major drawbacks.

For being my first time trying Filipino food, this place was good even though I got takeout. This place is a little hidden (first floor of an apartment) and learn about it from online. Ordered lumpia and chicken skewers and fried pork belly combo plates. Foods were great and tasty.

The food here is good. I can see why this place gets great reviews. Coming from. NYC and having lived in the Woodside area by great Filipino restaurants I truly enjoyed the food here. The service was warm. The portions were a bit small compared to places I have been to. Also some of the food was frozen like the vegetables tasted like they were frozen before they cooked them. Nothing wrong with that but the food tasted great and honestly was the best food we could get in the area.

the service was nice and the servers were kind, but they were out of a lot of stuff that were on the menu. The experience was fun and I thought the food tasted good, but I couldn't get everything I wanted. Also, the ambience of the restaurant was very pleasant. In total the vibe was good. It was a small little shop lot of green, but also a lot of the popular Filipino foods weren't on the menu. I total it was pleasant and I recommend coming here!

If you're looking for authentic Filipino food or to try something new I highly recommend stopping at Mami House! They offer a variety of appetizers including a classic lumpia, several pancit noodle options, soups, bbq sticks, combos, and my personal favorite the Sisig! To finish off the meal with something light and sweet, check out their desserts: halo-halo (a Filipino favorite), leche flan, or ube ice cream!

A nice comfortable Filipino restaurant tucked in the back of a building right off the touristy road. Staff was considerate and helpful. Food was delicious (and I've had my fair share of Filipino food in nj)! Serves a wide selection of noodle dishes, combos with rice, and also family style dishes for sharing. We had a late lunch so only got a few items pictured below. Note the sisig comes with the jasmine rice. Interior was nice and cute with a fun lumpia pillow. Would definitely come back here the next time I take the drive up to the falls on the ny side!

Everything was delicious! And service was excellent and attentive. It's a small restaurant with maybe 10 tables downstairs and another five or so upstairs. We were seated upstairs. Despite the chill in the night air, we were very warm and comfortable. We got a variety of plates: Fried Tofu and Pork Belly, Beef Pares Overload, crispy chicken, pork skewers, a bunch of food for my family. As I said, everything was delicious! We almost went back the following night but decided to give another Niagara place a try.

We were visiting from Hawaii which has a ton of Filipinos and Filipino food. This place has great food. We had the pork lumpia, pancit bihon, deep fried pork belly, beef short ribs, pork skewers and sizzling sisig. Pork lumpia - not greasy!!! Small and very flavorful with or without the sauce. Pancit - Nice chewy noodles and not over cooked. Pork belly - again not overcooked. Juicy Short ribs - tender and flavorful Sizzling sisig - the star of the show. Juicy slightly spicy and addicting Polite and good service. Def recommend

Delicious Filipino/Asian food in a super clean and convenient place. Essentially the only sit down restaurant worth actually sitting down in when visiting Niagara Falls, NY in my opinion. Easy ordering, generous portions, accommodating with special requests. The food was excellent all around and our party of 5 tried it all! No alcohol. A place of respite in a place with limited food choices.

Haven't seen many Philippine restaurants so wanted to try this out. Wasn't the most flavorful and the waitress acted like she didn't want me there until I gave her a nice tip haha very quick and efficient service. Combo short ribs and savory chicken was what I got. The short ribs were much better. My partner got the number 7 noodles and she enjoyed them but still. Not as flavorful as I would want to return here. They do validate parking

This was the worst Filipino food we've ever tasted. I'm Filipino, so I know what good Filipino food tastes like. The pork lumpiâ appetizer was greasy and uninspiring. For the main dish, the pork adobo meat was 99% fat, so we had to order chicken adobo instead. The chicken adobo was bland, and so was the adobo sauce. We also ordered arroz caldo, which was also bland. For dessert, the banana they used for the turón was not of good quality. Finally, they put some kind of sweetener in the coconut juice, which totally destroyed the taste of the pure coconut. Finally, they didn't even offer to take off the price of the plate of pork fat, as any good restaurant normally would do. We were absolutely disappointed with this establishment.
