The Tooting Tavern

I want to give a special shout-out to two amazing bartenders at the Tooting Tavern, Austin and Gabriel. They are always proactive, kind, smiling, positive, welcoming, polite and incredibly attentive. As someone who struggles with social interaction because of my disability, they always make me feel welcome and comfortable, which means a lot to me. Both of them have the greatest smiles and a really positive energy. Austin is always checking in on customers to see if they’re happy or need anything which really shows how much he cares for everyone and Gabriel has a real gift for making people smile and laugh, which is really comforting, more when they had a long and difficult day and are struggling with life. I’m currently going through a lot, and every time I come to the Tooting Tavern, these two fantastic waiters genuinely make me feel better. They help me feel safe and better in a way. They turn what could be a stressful situation for me into a safe, positive experience. Austin and Gabriel are a real credit to the place. Thank you for being kind to me and making me feel cared for while I’m dealing with my mental health crisis and my disability. You are amazing. A huge thank you too to the rest of the staff who also makes everyone’s experience positive and happy. You all make the Tooting Tavern a safe and happy place for everyone. Also, Allie at the Tooting Tavern really deserves a special mention. She has this contagious smile and gentle, positive energy that always lifts my mood as soon as I see her. There’s something very genuine and warm about the way she greets people that makes the whole place feel more welcoming. What I appreciate most is how kind and considerate she is with me, especially as someone who struggles with social interaction. She never makes me feel awkward or out of place. She’s also incredibly sweet with my cat ; whether I’m just talking about him or I bring him along with me for a coffee or a Coke, she’s always kind, patient and caring. Those small moments mean a lot. Allie is attentive, respectful, and always willing to take a moment to check in. Her presence turns a simple visit into something comforting and uplifting. The Tooting Tavern is very lucky to have someone like her on the team.

First and foremost, the pub quiz is absolutely fabulous! Joe does a truly incredible job! Monday pizza nights are so scrumptious. Buy one get one and they are absolutely delicious. The entire staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is incredible always!!!!

I recently hosted a surprise baby shower at The Tooting Tavern, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were able to view the venue beforehand, and on the day we had over 30 guests, making full use of the lovely garden space. Rachel and Ally guided us through the booking process, which was seamless and stress-free. The food on the day was absolutely delicious, huge compliments to the chefs! Despite it being such a large booking, every dish arrived hot, on time, and perfectly prepared. They even catered to special requests, which our guests really appreciated. A special shoutout goes to Daine and Brian, who took such great care of us throughout the event. Even while our guests were busy playing games, they made sure we were well looked after right until the end of the evening. The cocktails were another highlight, so tasty and well-made. I will definitely be returning soon, both for the wonderful food and the warm, welcoming service. Thank you again to the whole team for helping us create such a memorable celebration!

Nice pub with a warm, cozy atmosphere. The food was fresh, tasty and even the simple dishes were well done. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy good food.

The crab prawn linguine & pizza was delicious! One of our new favourite pubs in Tooting. Good selection of beers & staff were super nice! 😍

Great food - pizzas and nachos would reccomend I’ve heard rumours of a spectacular carbonara pizza but can’t say I’ve tried it myself. The pub quiz on a Thursday is a lot of fun, great host, good atmosphere. Highly reccomend a visit for all tooting locals and visitors to the area !

Amazing Sunday roast! We’ve just moved to the area and this was our first time eating at our new local. We were not disappointed. Huge portions, delicious food, and really reasonable prices. Genuinely such good value for a meal out. We will definitely be back many more times. The staff are lovely. The Manor has great atmosphere also! Loads of seating, family friendly with a baby changing room, free shuffle board, and sport. Something for everyone at The Manor!

Hosted my birthday party here over a few tables at the back of the pub & we had a really great time! The deposit for the booking of 20 was reasonable and made Tooting Tavern an easy choice of a venue. Things to note - it’s a beautifully decorated pub, staff were really great throughout the evening and the pizzas were top-tier. Such a great local to have near me :)
