Mon Ami Gabi’s Vincent Pouessel shares his favorite Las Vegas restaurants | Eater Vegas

"When I arrived in July 2001 I started to work at The Mansion at MGM Grand; it was truly spectacular because of the no-limit, upscale approach given to the guests of the villas, it left me with lots of great memories, and it’s where I met my wife Lelhani." - Susan Stapleton

My wife and I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for our anniversary, and we had an amazing time! The staff treated us exceptionally well — the service was top-notch, and everything felt first class. This was before COVID, back when they would open the doors for you and help bring all your bags up to the room. Recently, I visited Las Vegas again and stayed at the Luxor, but next time I plan to return to the MGM to see if the service has gone back to how it used to be. Either way, I’ve always had great experiences at the MGM — comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a great overall atmosphere. Even though we didn’t spend too much time in the room (because, well, it’s Vegas!), it was nice to come back to a comfortable and relaxing space at the end of the night. Highly recommend staying here — it’s one of those classic Las Vegas experiences that never disappoints!

First, room was not ready. Waited 2hours for the room. Then pillow is stained. Not acceptable even for standard chain hotel but happening at this hotel. No wonder less stars compare to other top hotel selections at this price point. Then service is line an economy flight, the hotel wants $10 delivery fee for room service in doggie bag box and $20 if you require real plates and silver ware like decent human being paying over $1000 per night. This hotel fell off so low or this town is falling off entirely? That’s why casino sales are down and it will be dead soon.

It’s always a pleasure to be there, as they keep repeating it haha. The service is PERFECT we feel like royalty. This last time we got the villa 2 with the pool and a yard, I didn’t wanna leave 🥲 They would have some constructions done and sent us a nice letter with a silk kimono robe and a sweater for the inconvenience, but the rooms are so huge that we couldn’t hear anything. I asked if I could buy one for my mom and they gave me another one! They always go above and beyond to get us WHATEVER we need, I mean it! One time they bought some different lollipops to send as a gift to my nephews. Best place EVER, it doesn’t compare to any hotel in Las Vegas

Very nice area of the Hotel, Baccarat is the main game. Hard to find, you have to ask people who work there a few times because they all do not know the location. Good place….if you are at the MGM you have to visit this place.||Very clean, only thing I had the issue with was the lack of direction from the personnel locating it.

Private hotel. This place is not available to everyone. Excellent security. Beautiful grounds. The air smells amazing.Everything is luxurious. The staff is above and beyond amazing.

Hidden deep inside the bowels of the MGM, what a beautiful place! Food was fabulous, ambience was quiet (we were the only ones at a table (!), a quiet room outside the fray. Great (but expensive) experience. Very good wine selection, be sure to order your wine as quickly as possible and let it breathe. If you think you're in for another bottle, order immediately and make them open it while you're enjoying the first one.

This place is a must! You won’t find better service anywhere! The rooms are out of a dream and the entrance let me tell you…. It’s packed with the freshest flowers, the smell is unbelievable ||They greet you with fresh juice and champagne, you feel like they’ve known you your entire life. The mansion pool is private and comes with butler service the area even has its own private restaurant ||The 3 or 4 bedrooms come with in room pools, gyms and massage rooms! This was by far the best experience I’ve had in Vegas! 5 stars

The culinary journey offered here is nothing short of extraordinary, with each dish reaching the pinnacle of flavor and presentation. It truly stands out as a haven for those who appreciate the finest in dining. The Mansion provides not just a meal but a luxurious experience that sets a new standard. Yelp
WOW! Wow, what can I say? I had an opportunity to tour this beautiful space today and I was absolutely taken back by the gorgeous area, the impeccable service, the exclusive gaming area. 5 stars all the way. The porte kosher is so welcoming and relaxing, the pool is breathtaking and the attruimn area .. I wouldn't mind dying in there.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of being invited to The Mansion at MGM and enjoyed a lovely dinner in such a beautiful setting. The garden was stunning, and the service was incredibly attentive. I had the lobster bisque--so rich and flavorful--and the deviled egg topped with caviar was absolutely delicious. And of course, the Peking duck did not disappoint. A truly memorable evening!

Yelp
We stayed at Skylofts and dined at the Mansion for lunch in the atrium. Service was impeccable, as expected, although being waited on by 3 different people was slightly awkward. There was a Chinese cuisine menu, which we did not choose from. My husband ordered the Burger Noir with foie gras, truffle slices, and edible gold flakes, because why not. I was worried it would be too heavy, but he said the ingredients worked well together and it was worth it. I ordered the Lobster Sandwich, which was very good as well. The lobster was fresh and perfectly cooked, not fishy at all, and the avo, sauce, and veggies helped make it light and refreshing. It was too bad I was full after half the sandwich. I tried tho. My only complaint is that they asked ahead of time by email that we don't walk around the grounds. That's kind of stingy, given that we're already dining there. Anyway, not sure we would go again, but given the prestige (Mansion or Skyloft guests, or by invitation only) it's nice to visit at least once.

Yelp
I stayed at The Mansion in 2002, wish a large party visiting from New Jersey . I loved the monkey paw tea so much that they gave me a sample to take home . I enjoyed the easy entrance , and the short walk to and from the valet . I was amazed by the quality of sandwiches provided while playing pool very late in the evening . I thought the pool in the room was very romantic and the room spacious. I loved the orchids placed everywhere in the hallways ! Watching folks play $15,000 a hand black Jack was a true Las Vegas experience ! But the limo going to fetch my mom at my home and take her to the airport was and always will be Priceless to me !!! Thank you !

Yelp
This recent visit really left me disappointed. I understand that it's chinese new years and all the big chinese clients are in town, but that doesn't mean they can ignore the rest who aren't chinese. If you're already able to get into the mansion/eat there then you should still be treated with the best services. I was so disappointed when the servers and even managers ignored us for the chinese clients. With such an amazing reputation, I thought they would want to maintain it, no matter what race or rank. We didn't complain about our orders that were forgotten and orders that were messed up because we could tell the staff members were too preoccupied, but please do better Mansion.

Yelp
In a word: insane. A jewel box of obscene wealth and exclusivity, and a world away from the MGM Grand of which it shares real estate. There's nothing like The Mansion anywhere else on Earth. The place oozes class. The service is impeccable. Guests do not want for anything. It's difficult to find, and even more difficult to get into, but if you're lucky enough to be there, it's in an echelon of its own.

Yelp
This is the way to Vegas. It's a hidden gem that is tucked away inside the MGM grounds. The best food I've ever had. Hands down!

Yelp
As they say y'all... Vegas is literally the adult version of Disneyland and you can be anyone whom you want to be. My parents had decided to move from the penthouses at The Wynn during their recent trip in June 18' and extended their trip to stay at The MGM (They didn't tell me initially it was The Mansion). I have to be honest, when they first told me they were checking out of the Wynn to go to the MGM, I was certain my mom and dad had more drinks than the Real Housewives on Wine Wednesday. Little did I know they weren't simply staying at The MGM. HELL NO They were staying at The Mansion and I had no clue in my years of existence on this planet, this place existed within The MGM. That's the whole point though. This place is like a freakin' speakeasy property within the MGM. When I arrived in Vegas, I had actually surprised my parents and took an uber to the standard MGM entrance. As I got to the front lobby and asked for my parents, I then knew they weren't staying in any hotel room. I was whisked away by security and escorted to the secret entrance within the hotel that is very secluded. NO marking, NO signage, NO key traits to let you know this place exists. As we walked passed the gold gates, I had to get re-verified and my parents then had to vouch for me at two different check points. This place is things that you'd only see in movies like The Hangover. Over the top amenities, lush decor and furniture, and private gambling tables exclusive to those staying at The Mansion. These aren't penny slots or $25 tables. HELL NO, these folks including my dad, are here to play apparently. (I get anxiety watching my dad play btw so I just go to the bar and drink, a lot, and look for the Monopoly Slot Machines lol) The Mansion is all situated within a dome and there is also a fine dining restaurant there. The gardens are beautiful and if I ever get married this is where it's happening. That's how gorgeous it is. As for the rooms, OMFG. The villa assigned to you has everything you need for a lavish Vegas stay. Aside from the multiple living and dining rooms, you also have an in-house barber/makeup room, private in-door balcony, private pool, massage room, full bar, walk-in closets, and your assigned butler. YUP. I'm used to my parents having an assigned host during family trips to Vegas but the butler was definitely the next level of extra. The rooms had a bit of a Versace 90s feel and I was living for it. Think over-the-top curtains, marble for days, statues, and live flowers for days. Pretty certain this Villa was equivalent to the size of 30 standard hotel rooms- minimum. As a guest of The Mansion, I have to say the staff was super friendly and very detailed oriented. They pay attention to every little thing and it was much appreciated. My mom had mentioned wanting to see the Michael Jackson- Cirque Du Soleil Show and they surprised us with tickets to the sold out show the day of. They literally can make seats magically appear for some of the most coveted shows in town. The bathroom amenities were supplied by BVLGARI and were scented for the GODS. There is a private drive-in entrance for The Mansion for guests so you can literally walk into your villa. I have to say though the craziest part of this experience was my parents having an assigned limited edition, 1 of 25 in the world, Bentley Bentayga during their stay. Let's just say my ride to the airport was hilarious as my door was opened by the chauffer to let me out for the Southwest Terminals lol. I'm definitely hopping on the coattails the next time my parents want to do a Vegas trip and state they're staying at The Mansion...

Yelp
I was lucky enough to tag along when some friends stayed in a villa here. Did I feel like a Parasite (nod to the movie's recent Oscar win!)? Maybe. Was it worth it? Absolutely! It's ultimate luxury like nothing else in Las Vegas.

Yelp
Secret, beautiful, sleek. The Mansions Villas at MGM are to die for. If you have the opportunity to stay here, you HAVE to. You walk down a somewhat secret corridor off of the MGM casino, through an iron gate, down a few halls and then you walk out into the most beautiful courtyard with a massive fountain in the middle. This is a true "high roller" experience. The Mansions boasts many villas of different sizes with beautiful spaces featuring full bars, event spaces, bedrooms and even their own private pools. You would never know that you're in Vegas here, as you're transported into a luxury world of complete privacy. These rooms would be great for Bachelor or Bachelorette parties because the event space is huge and it sleeps at least a dozen.

Yelp
Exceptionally and extraordinary place to rejuvenate and be treated like royalty. Everything here is amazing from staff to delicious food and the smell of the flowers and the attention to detail of the villas is beyond words. Thank you Jamie!

Yelp
Staycation on Christmas during the pandemic. Very empty. Felt like we own the whole place to ourselves. Butler will restock our fridge everyday and the maids will clean. The only con is most of the places were closed during this pandemic and it became very inconvenient for our stay.

Yelp
If it were quite a few years ago. Nobody by the likes of me would have been allowed through these fanciful Parisian doors. As it is now, anyone can book the MGM Mansion. 90 days in advance. But alas' the only thing keeping the average Manny Moe and Jack from doing so seems to be the 5k starting price per nightly reservation. We kept it loosely a few hours past the normal check out time for this one. The mansion has been something of an enigma within the grand casino. It is separated from the main casino and hotel. The high protective walls can be seen next to the UA Theater and behind the M&M world. Tucked and rolled just out of the strip mayhem and safely guarded. Only top shelf entertainers, politico's and gambling whales get a shot at the luxuries available here. I'll only let you guess and ass-ume how I got in.. Ok lets begin the honest bloke's review. To get in from the streets you have to speak through the intercom at the giant gates. Once you pull in your Chevy Equinox next to the Italian and German luxury sports cars, a wonderful person dressed much nicer than you comes out and greets you, starting with compliments on how well you have parked. They take your keys and ghosts seem to open the humongous ornate doors. The mansion is a sprawling decadent 29 villa estate. Probably hundreds of oversized rooms within it. At the center of it is an atrium which has to be at least 7 average stories tall. The mansion has only 3 stories within it. High ceilings man. The atrium is at a constant 72 degrees year round. Lavish gardens and fountains surround a flowing pool. The balcolnies of the villa suites all face into this indoor-outdoor oasis. It is marvelous and gives the belagio a run for its money. The heated pool is just outside the huge glass house. It is beautifully decorated with mosaic tiles. Lounge seating and rolled towels left abound. The theater is available upon schedule and there is a game room for those with the taste of brown elbow patched sport coats. Shuffleboard, peeknuckle etc. "Nnn'mmyesss buffy". Did I mention there are butlers everywhere? The suites are just ridiculously oversized and each room is about as big as a whole hotel suite. Grand pianos in each villa. Robotic toilets with automatically opening lids. They automatically b'day and dry your toosh. Amazing. Extravagance and upper crust styled furnishings everywhere. Nothing cheesy here. Classic renaissance and everything fitting for a mansion. Fit for J-lo and Ben Affleck's, rappers and the like. Pinkys up and platinum grills. Oh yeah, the butlers are included. They take care of every request. Like make pancakes for you like after playing Prince in a b-ball game. Refill the fridge. Locate objects you may need during your stay. They dont knock. They appear just as you need them. Like old ninjas. One looks and sounds like the guy from Phantasm though! I'm still a bit creeped. You get fancy chocolates and bakery goods as you enter. The room service menu is a bit limited yet there is an extensive chinese food menu. Probably a clue as to who usually can afford to book the mansion mostly. The most exclusive entree is the Noir Burger. Named after the exclusive top tier player club membership, which is still by invitation only. It has white and black truffle shavings, slathered in truffle oil, with truffle aioli (my language here). Fancy onions on a kaiser bun and topped with seared foie gras. A sprinkling of edible 24k gold flake at the crest of the bun. 75 bucks. Fancy yes, but not to die for. That is not how I'd like to end this review for this gem in the Mgm, but it wraps it up for me. The next day we spent at the Mgm Skylofts which were no comparison to the legendary mansion but definitely much more my style. Excellent experience at the mansion. My 5 year old loved it!

Yelp
I am writing this review of appreciation to express my personal gratitude for the kindness, patience, and respectful service I have received from the Senior Hotel Operations Manager "JOSEPH BARRON". I would like to start off by giving five stars***** to JOSEPH whom I personally refer to as "THE HEART" of the MGM corporation. He seems to bring his enthusiasm to his place of work during each and every shift. But I'm willing to bet any amount of money that he probably wakes up this way. Simply because this is just who he is! JOSEPH continues to exhibit his capability in dealing with a variety of issues, concerns, questions, complaints from customers, and yet seems to manage and resolve each and every situation that may be brought to his attention. And will complete the task without complaint.. I will never forget his willingness to help me if possible, with any questions about current promotions, date of events, if you ever want to have a great experience at a very clean facility! fresh new machines! great friendly atmosphere! Beauty and class all around you then come on down to the BELLAGIO casino. Then I suggest you come eat, stay and play! JOSEPH BARRON is an ASSET to this company in all its splendor! knowing he is part of the "TEAM" will inspire new players to return and current players to stay. And thank you for your service that you provide. Your attitude towards your work is on an entirely different level. Good going! I am sure you are a valuable member. The service you provide is in a league of its own. I am incredibly pleased with the quality of customer service you have provided. Such a great commitment to making sure every customer is satisfied. Thank you for patience, understanding, and the passion for what you do. KEEP THIS UP AND YOU HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO BUT TO THE TOP......Toni

Yelp
While checking my email one day, I saw an event that was going to be held here for Buchanan's Whiskey. I particularly don't like whiskey, however I know someone who works for MGM and told me this spot is extremely exclusive. She hadn't even been in there and she works for the company. Not very many people know this place exists as the entrance is disguised. So naturally I wanted to go. Due to unforeseen events, I ended up going by myself. And am I glad I did! I saw on the map where to go, but this place is so well hidden. I checked in and waited with a few people to be escorted where the event was. Just from where I was standing it was beautiful. Only better once we started walking through. Every staff member we passed greeted us. I felt like a VIP. Ha! When we made our way through, we came out to this "outdoor" area with a big fountain and a lovely view of the rooms. I say "outdoor" because there was a cover overhead. It was so peaceful and serene. On to the party! The great rooms were...well...great. So pretty. A perfect place to have a party. We were really only in a small area of the place, but the rooms had high ceilings, grand couches, grand pianos- its was all lovely. Like mini ballrooms. I made my way outside and it is seriously so peaceful out there. They have sitting areas for you to relax at. I didn't stay outside long, but long enough to watch people get busted for trying to hope to rope to the pool. I didn't get to see anymore in the mansion, but from what I saw it was worth going alone. Not sure if anything else will be happening there, so I jumped on it! Glad I did!

Yelp
My absolute FAVORITE place in Vegas. I could sit and sip tea here all day long. The gardens are lovely. The food is delicious. The service was more than wonderful. The ambiance is exquisite. This is by far the best hidden gem!

Yelp
The stay here was freaking amazing ! Once you walk in to the mansion they have such a kind floral smell you will be greeted with champagne . Live in butler 24 hours . I highly recommend this spot the garden is amazing

Yelp
We stayed here back in May of 2021. This is hands down the pinnacle of exclusivity and luxury! The staff is beyond amazing, the room service is incredible. The mansion restaurant might be the best in Las Vegas. We basically had the pool all to ourselves all day which was beautiful.

Yelp
Wonderful!!! Love the scenery & concierge. Great place to be. Low key and not with the general public!

Yelp
We were staying in a villa and it was amazing! The service was impeccable, when we were hot, they brought fans. When we wanted to swim, they brought swimsuits. Pretty much anything you desire, they will make it happen! I was especially happy with the in room pool, and gym and had a blast! They even brought us some floats and water guns! We ended up buying more and they had no problem cleaning around them! Also when our flight got delayed, they let us go back into our room (we already checked out earlier) and stay there free of charge all day! Highly recommend

Yelp
One of the best places in the MGM. This is where the big players are, playing bacarat into all hours of the night. Their bathrooms are a single stall but goregous! Inside they stock the bathroom with free mouthwash and tampons. They also have a private bar and a small buffet for the players. Tips are definitely appreciated. My parents and I come here for quick bites before a long day. I guess we are allowed to since my dad spends many hours playing. The food is always delicious in there. So if you are ever feeling like some baccart, help yourself to a free mini buffet. Just don't be a freeloader.

Yelp
roomservice is rly slow,it takes forever to get a butler to the room, but the food here is not bad

Yelp
The best place to stay when in Vegas. Separate entrance to the Mansion so that you don't have to walk through the crowd. The whole area has temperature and humidity control. You won't feel the heat and the dryness inside. The pool is 24/7 warm water pool. They have their own club house, with their own theater inside. There is only one restaurant but you can order whatever cuisine you want. Limo to take you anywhere. Each Villa is very spacious, each room in each Villa is estimate to be 1000 sq ft, the 2 bedrooms Villa I recently stayed at had 2 bedrooms + and office room, a kitchen, living room and dinning room, it's estimate to be about 5000 sq ft with balcony. The bathroom in each bedroom also have a shower with steam function and a Jacuzzi. Whatever you needed, just call the butler and they will come in via their entrance in the kitchen. Service was great too. Whatever you need, just call the butler, they will make it happen. No complain to this place at all!
