Staying in Boston looking for a nice Italian seafood restaurant, found this one. Jackie was our server, she was wonderful. As was the food and drinks. We started with mussels which were terrific. I had the shrimp on linguine which was very nice. Wife had scallops on risotto which she loved. Ended with tiramisu which was perfect.

This was a delicious meal! The fresh bread was soft and fluffy on the inside with a buttery crust. The olive oil dip had cheese and chili flakes, which made it out of this world. The salad dressing is so good it should be bottled and sold. I can't wait to go back for dinner and try the stuffed lobster. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

Google
Great seafood restaurant. It’s not a pretty place but it’s doesn’t need to be pretty to have good food. Services was great as well. Their Clam chowder is the best.

My daughter and I went to dinner with my brother and sister in law on a Wednesday evening. Everything was so good from the bread and dipping oil to our yummy drinks and dinner was delicious. For dinners we had salmon, lobster pie, steak tips and lamb chops. All were served with smashed red potatoes and a melody of sautéed summer veggies so good ! Our waitress was the best !! Definitely recommend !! Definitely going back !!

We held a super reasonably priced Bridal Shower here and it was the cutest set up, for a smaller sized party. They use room dividers to offer a private space, and yes it feels private. Waitstaff were super kind, personable and helpful. We did the breakfast buffet and it was a perfect mixture of selections. Everyone was content and happy with the experience. Would definitely work with them again in the future!

Google
Loved the food, absolutely delicious! The servers were super nice as well. We reserved a section of the restaurant for lunch after the funeral of a family member and the employees were very good to us and made sure we all had everything we needed (I have a BIG family).

Google
We held my Mother in Law’s collation here and Stacey and the staff couldn’t have been more kind and attentive. When I started to panic about not having enough seats they immediately brought in another two tables and placed a divider screen to keep our gathering separate. The food was fantastic and you can’t beat the view! This was our Mother’s favorite restaurant so it’s only fitting that we gathered here after saying our final goodbyes.

On a dreary gray day, the Marina at the Wharf added bright culinary delights to our afternoon. The wharf-side scenery is a perk that complements the delicious dishes we experienced. The fried calamari was fresh and tender with tasty breading. The pan seared scallops with shrimp was the best outside of Maine we’ve had in our lifetime. The shrimp scampi was superbly enhanced by the garlic and butter sauce and size of shrimp largest I’ve seen outside a 5 star restaurant—huge! The complimentary warm bread served with our salad and clam chowder was yummy. We wish we lived closer to go back — so next time in the Boston area, the Marina will be a destination for dinner. Hope we can experience the outside deck dining then ! Don’t be deceived by the restaurant’s roadside parking lot and general appearance as it belies the great staff and views out back!

Yelp
The food service and the ability to make a reservation! Let alone being right on the water!

Yelp
Our party of five wanted to dine outside, and we were promptly seated on their large deck. The Marina Restaurant has a great deck, on the ocean with umbrellas. Most of our party was shaded during our lunch, two diners had difficulty remaining out of the full sun. On the weekends, they defer to their dinner menu, so portions are large, and the prices are set accordingly. We selected: * Baked Haddock * Bacon Cheeseburger * Bowl of Chowder * Eggplant Rolitini * Seared Tuna The haddock was described as tasty, the eggplant dense and heavy, the cheeseburger and chowder good, and the seared tuna was good, though slightly sinewy and difficult to cut. The tuna was prepared as two large pieces (it was a large portion), I'd have preferred it if it was cut into a series of thinner slices. Also at $38, it compared unfavorably to Hemenway's in Providence, which has a much better dish and is $36. Further, The Marina Restaurant Tuna dish included a very modest seaweed salad, and a more substantial traditional salad on the plate. As we were already getting a salad with our entrees (more on that in a minute), I would have preferred a more substantial seaweed salad. Our entrées included a salad served in a large bowl for the table. It was a traditional garden salad, mainly lettuce and tomato with some onion, with an Italian style house dressing. It was good, standard fare. There was plenty for everyone, nobody had seconds. Overall, I'd describe the food as fairly good, the service very good and the deskside venue very nice. The bill total (no alcohol) was $143 with tip, and an overall four-star dining experience on this day.

Yelp
First time here and I'm definitely coming back! I wanted seafood & I wanted to be by the water on this hot beautiful day :) The waitress was super nice she seemed like she's been their forever & I appreciate that bc I wasn't bothered too much. Food was great and so was the margaritas! I will note that if you're outside there are little bugs here n there but for me it's nature / natural. If you prefer to sit inside they have a huge space & I peeked at the bar which also looked like a fun vibe for a date! Will come back to visit for sure :)

Yelp
On Sunday, I Went to The Marina for the Sunday brunch. I arrived at 11:45 am, set at a high top table to wait for my granddaughter. Five minutes later, a group of 5 Spanish ladies came in and set at the other high top table next to me. The waitress walked past me and went to their table for their drink order. I sat there for 1/2 hour, waiting to see if she would ask me if I wanted anything. She must have passed me at least five times, just to ask if they were In the meantime, waitresses kept passing me and waiting on white people. I finally had to stop a waitress and ask for a cocktail. Although I enjoyed the brunch I will not go back to the Marina and will not recommend it.

Yelp
It was live music Thursday. Music was good but kind of loud. We had red wine with a hefty pour. Complimentary bread was amazing. The meatballs was to die for and the calamari was pretty amazing as well. Then we got a great salad for the table. I split the seafood pasta. Huge huge portions. Other pictures is the fried seafood, oyster Rockefeller, and a bacon burger. Dessert was amazing.

Kathy P.

Yelp
Service was great! Bread and oil was so good and the mix greens salad that comes with your meal was an added bonus! I wish they had more sandwich options for lunch on weekends..

Jane D.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch -- outdoors on the deck on November 6 -- it was 80!!! First we had fried mozzarella and we both got Haddock Francese! DELICIOUS and drinks were terrific. Our server Sylvia was fabulous -- super attentive and cheerful!! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Good food and plenty of food Service was good We had fish and chips. Wish the chips and onion rings were cooked a little more.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Plenty of parking which was nice. The salad that comes with the entree was delicious. The bread and oil was also very good.

Maryam M.

Yelp
Good brunch with a lot of options. A for vegetarian options (such as the bakery and sweet items) but a meat lovers paradise :) The food was okay, fish was too salty, eggs a little runny, but overall it was a nice experience to hang out with friends. The patio was closed for winter but I assume that would add to the charm in the summer. They seem to be quite open to hosting private events- there were two going on when we went ! A birthday party and a shower of some sort :) As others have mentioned the jazz music is nice, but it gets very loud making conversation around the table quite difficult. Perhaps that would be better managed if sitting out on the patio in the summer. I'm not sure, I guess I'll have to try.

Yelp
Normally, I rave about this place as they have never let me down. Their homemade bread came out borderline burnt. When we asked for the house salad the waitress informed us that she had to base it on what we order, which was a first. When the salad was brought out, the tomatoes were so so mushy that they were borderline rotten. We also ordered some steamers which usually were fantastic, so we were disappointed with this experience. They were so sandy it was impossible to eat. I still had gritty sensations in my teeth by the time we left the meal. We sent those back as it was inedible. Entrées themselves were OK. Definitely better on other nights. Based on how my last experience was, I am very hesitant on returning. I'm not sure who was in the kitchen on a Monday night but they left a sour taste in my mouth.

Yelp
This is an old school joint with a really beautiful outdoor seating area and plenty of parking. Don't judge this place by the outside, it's a gem. We had a lovely late lunch here on a beautiful sunny Sunday. The food was delicious, huge portions and priced at a price point you would expect. Our server was outstanding, so accommodating and great with our 4 year old. We'll be back!

Yelp
1st time visiting this end of Boston, wife found this restaurant and looked nice and on the water so tried it out. Read some of the recent reviews and was a mix of mostly good reviews but some surprisingly negative comments. Decided to find out for ourselves and to our delight had a terrific time there on a Friday night in July. Service was excellent, very pleasant from host to Erin our waitress and the bus boy was great. Sat out on their beautiful deck, great view of bay marina and sky watching planes on landing approach, got to see our Cape Air Pilot son's plane fly by! All the food was excellent and delicious and great portion size. One of the best clam chowders I had in a long time. Both entrees in the posted pictures were presented nicely on plate and cooked perfectly. Their warm loaf of bread with oil dipping sauce was wonderful and the family style salad for two could feed four was wonderful and the house dressing had a wonderful sweet and savory flavor. Only thing just slightly off was the desert, great taste however they really skimped on the ice cream, was barely a 1/2 scoop on plate and most of it melted against the warm apple crisp. Inside of restaurant was very nice also but on a wonderful early evening got to sit out on the nice deck. Food was served very timely and was not rushed at all by server and even said we are welcomed to hang out on deck and enjoy the night! Looking forward to returning and trying some of the Italian entrees.

Yelp
This is in response to victor m on my original review and his reply. Yes, we received a small pittance of lettuce and a couple of tomatoes, but I'm not sure why that would count towards the meal I ordered, which was ravioli with sauce. And then to say, you also threw in bread like it with some big special offering you make to your customers just made me laugh. Bottom line is that you gave me 3 mediocre raviolis, with some sauce, spread them out on a dish to make it look full and then tell me, oh, but I gave you bread and salad with them. As for the soup, I stand by the bread with so hard I could not break it, I put it on a separate dish. I tried to cut it with my knie and there was no way it was gonna break for me.

Yelp
We were seated and waited 25 minutes but were never served dispute multiple servers walking by and looking at us directly. The management stuff was nice and stopped by routinely throughout the 25 minutes but took a drink order or offered to help. Due to our time restraint (theater tickets), we were unable to wait and had to leave. At that point, as we were walking out we became a I said priority.

Diane S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great service, food is fresh, quantities are large and the decor is beautiful inside. Can't beat the view as well. Can't wait to go back!

Paul L.

Yelp
I had Clam sauce with linguini. Looked good but clams were too chewey to swallow. Liquid sauce was very bland and not enjoyable with their home made bread loaf. My wife had salmon with fettuccini with Alfredo sauce. Beautiful looking piece of salmon which was very dry and lacking flavor. The pasta and sauce was dry and had little flavor. We expected much better than this. Waste of money. They do have a decent Sunday brunch, though. 7/6/2024

Yelp
I had my daughters baby shower here, Stacy made sure everything was on point! The food, the ambiance, and the serviceabove and beyond. Thank you Victor, I'll see you both soonKeri Halloran Dipietro

Yelp
My husband and I had such a great time dining at this restaurant! In fact, we visited here over the summer and I'm still thinking about our experience in December! We live just up the road and must have driven past here a million times. The outside looks unassuming but we are so glad we finally stopped one day. We sat out on the patio overlooking the water with our newborn baby and had some of the best seafood and service we've had in a while. The meal came complete with fresh bread before lunch! I highly reccomend this location for a great meal or even an event or a baby/wedding shower. Really looking forward to returning!

Yelp
My review is long overdue. The Marina is my fiancé and my go-to Italian Spot on the North Shore. I am very particular of my Italian Restaurants because I was raised in an Italian-American home and I know what I like. The Marina is like someone learned to cook from the same ancestors my family learned and it makes me overjoyed. I tend to go right for the stuffed mushrooms, (tastes exactly like my mothers, I love them!) and the bolognese. We always order entrees so the salad comes-with and the dressing is phenomenal; I'd literally bring them a mason jar to fill with dressing if I thought they'd be cool with it, haha! We have never had bad service, and that's crazy considering how many times we eat there. The staff all remind me of family members and have a great personality. As my fiancé and I are in hospitality, we appreciate how difficult it is to give consistent service and maintain that culture. Everyone we've ever interacted with have always been wonderful and make us feel appreciated; we don't ask for much but they are always on top of our table making sure we have what we need: another drink, the next course, etc., And when it's all done, you've had a four course meal, impeccable service, ending with a cocktail, very reasonable pricing, and right on the water (summer night on the patio is great, solid margaritas), how can you ask for more? Been going for years and I hope it never changes! Amazing find, I tell everyone that wants a solid Italian Restaurant on the North Shore, that they have to try The Marina, and they've always been grateful to have learned about it.

Celina D.

Yelp
We LOVE the marina. Went there on Friday, sat at a high top in the bar area dj was great played a variety of music truly catering to those in the bar area. The martini was AMAZING they brought a chilled glass for fiancés beer and he said it was the best beer he's had in a while. The service was amazing, shared the same name as the waitress! If you're looking for a spot for good drinks great food and great people go to the wharf. The food comes out piping hot and I feel like that in itself is hard go come by when eating out these days!

Alexander O.

Yelp
I was here on Labor Day weekend and the beach area was pretty packed, but I was able to go to the bar and get some food here. The lobster was absolutely amazing. The cocktails were also excellent & they had a great selection of high end tequila which I enjoyed. The service was excellent and great to chat with. Great location in proximity to the water and on the way to the airport.

Christine A.

Yelp
The Marina Restaurant & Bar at the Wharf is literally the absolute best place! They treat their guests like family! We know that we are taken care of always with them! Stacey is amazing and all the wait staff is always there to accommodate everything possible! The Moille Family takes it a step above the rest! We will forever hold any special event at the Marina because when you are there, you are family! Thank you guys so much for making any stressful event planning an absolute breeze!

TJ N.

Yelp
They actually deserve three and a half stars. A few things made it less than a great experience for my mother's 80th birthday. The location is fantastic. Upon entering, I noticed several signs looking for help at this location, so I assumed things might not be perfect. The woman who sees you also seems to be the person answering the phones so she took an order after she already picked up menus and was about to walk us over to the table so that seemed a little odd to me. There were at least three other staff that I could see clearly that weren't doing anything at that particular moment and they could have helped that other lady with the phones I'm sure. Maybe it's a management thing I don't know. Once we sat at the table we were seated and greeted nicely. Our server was very pleasant and we were seated by the window. It is quintessentially New England which is nice to come back to. My mother got steamers and it looked phenomenal, nice portion, and she enjoyed them. I got the whaler sandwich because for a fish restaurant they only had a few options, and four of them all were haddock which is not my favorite fish. They didn't have salmon Or swordfish or tuna. They did have an open tuna sandwich which I assume is tuna fish and I really didn't want that. My sandwich was very plain, cooked nicely, yet plain with simply provolone and a side of tartar sauce. This sandwich might be better with like a remoulade and maybe some kind of interesting peppers or pickles or onions. The waitress did not replenish my iced tea even though I finished it early on and we were also not served with water so I didn't have anything to hydrate while I was eating. She did however, come back to ask us how it was. I know I have other choices in the area, some more expensive and some less expensive, though. I enjoy the room and the atmosphere. I'm not sure if I would rush back here so soon. I do have to give them credit for their salad which was exceptional. Their white balsamic dressing they should bottle and be quite proud of.

CJ C.

Yelp
The food is consistently good, the ambience is perfect and the staff always makes you feel like family. We have been going there for many years and will continue to support this fine establishment.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink and a pizza while killing time to pick up our daughter and her fiancé from Logan. Jackie waited on us and she could not have been more nice and sincere. This place is a hidden gem! Between the views, food and great service, you cannot beat it

Cory I.

Yelp
Won't be back. Went for lunch, food is overpriced with small portions. Calamari appetizer was good for one person. Fish and chips meal had two small pieces of fish. Fried clams had maybe 8 - all for $20/plate! Outrageous! Bread doesn't cover the tiny portions. We sent haddock meals back for being undercooked, no manager came to apologize. For a fish place I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed.

Todd B.

Yelp
Was very disappointed. Food was over cooked. Wait staff not very attentive. Expected way better for some place in New England. Now I feel NE seafood is a bit overhyped. Give me those mom and pop family run seafood shacks from the Beaches of NJ , DELMARVA Eastern Shore down all the the way down to The Outer Banks of NC any day!! I grew up on the outer banks of NC BTW.

krissy i.

Yelp
DJ & Keno by the bar. 15/10 espressos. Apps to split. Bucket of beer. Great service with a beauty patio. Anything you get is good $$$

Craig W.

Yelp
Excellent! Great views, vibe, quality of food, decent price. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Kathy B.

Yelp
The food is very good and service , They have a nice salad included with your meal . I haven't been there yet this year, but will be going . They have a lot of functions there, and get rave reviews.

Julia R.

Yelp
I have loved this place and used to rave about it, but the last two times I went, and brought friends with me, our food was served in a clearly spoiled condition. First, we had the lobster pie, which did not taste right. I realized after my friend complained and sent hers back that it was not good! Second, I went there with another friend, and ordered the neopolitan pizza and it was awful. The proscuitto on the pizza was clearly spoiled and it had some cream on it, that was bad too. Doesn't the cook taste his food? If I go back, I will be very careful what I order. I won't be taking friends there again. This is very disappointing!

Megan M.

Yelp
A must go! We are so glad we made it here for dinner. Anthony was an amazing server, and made our night! The food was to die for - highly recommend the rigatoni bolognese and the meatballs were massive and melt in your mouth delicious. Portions were large and could be sharable. If we ever come back to the north east we would go out of our way to come back!

Bee S.

Yelp
The food was delicious, hot and filled up the family happily. The service however was beyond atrocious. My server, Selena/Selina, was so ungodly RUDE to my family. Left us sitting for over half an hour without a single interaction from ANY server. Waited on the check longer than we'd waited for the food. Had a whole other server hand us boxes and a bag to pack our things after we'd sat for 30 mins waiting for anyone to come by to be stopped to get our check. Once our items were bagged it was another 20 minutes before our original server came back and seriously asked, "so would you guys like dessert or the check?" You've got to be absolutely JOKING!!! What a sorry excuse for workers. There was also a male worker, short lined up hair who thinks he's hot shit in shoes, was making a stink after he noticed us looking over as he was talking garbage about the patrons/customers in the restaurant. Never got a refill for anything. Never was asked how the meal was. - I recommend that you guys refocus yourselves because having this type of service won't get you far at all.

Kathy T.

Yelp
This is one of my favorites places. I can't imagine going wrong with anything on the menu. The most difficult thing is what to choose. The waitresses are so good and helpful with menu suggestions. I've ordered different things but keep going back to the stuffed salmon...try it, you'll like it lol. Oh if you get a martini ask for the blue cheese olives. You'll really have a great dining experience there...and you're at the marina...dress down or up.

Tim S.

Yelp
Things go up and down in the restaurant business and these folks not only had to deal with covid but then a fire. They rebuilt but stayed true to their family values it seems as noted. I don't know these folks personally but when you visit you can expect a welcoming staff, great prices and amazing food. If you want a family dinner or a date at the bar or even better their brunch? This is the spot! BTW the next gen of this spot is amazing as well, a truly great young gentleman, great family coaching for business as well it seems. Come for the food and prices, then u decide is all...

Lilly G.

Yelp
A big shout out to Andrea, Victor, and the entire crew!! We had a 65th birthday party and it was outstanding!! The food was plentiful and amazing!! Sirloin was melt in your mouth delicious! They certainly know how to make a function enjoyable for the host/hostess because they handle every little detail. Cake, and sweet table beyond expectations!! Thank you for making this night so wonderful and special!! You Rock!!!

Ro G.

Yelp
Service was great(Anthony) and food was amazing. We had the mushrooms for an app and the stuffed lobster for the main. The stuffed lobster was really meaty and tasty. The sides were great too. If we weren't leaving town I would go here again and again. We also sat outside , nice relaxing view.

Shannon Y.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a nice drink at the bar. We enjoyed a few shareables . Had the meatballs which were the very best I've had, raw oysters were fresh and delicious! Amazing for Italian ! Outdoor seating but it was a hot , windy day! Enjoyed very much!

Jackie R.

Yelp
sstopped in on our way out of Boston on a beautiful Sunday afternnoon, cozied up to the bar. Bartenders where very accomodating, a couple Vodka's and Soda, reviewed the menu for a bit while enjoying the absolutely spectacular fresh bread and dipping oil, I would go back just for the bread, outstanding! Ordered a special, Parm coated chicken cutlet (huge) on a bed of pasta Alfredo, delish, husband ordered the cheese ravioli that he greatly enjoyed, the Marinara was superb! This is such a great spot with a beautiful menu, the views are gorgeous, will be back even though it's an hour ride!

Deb H.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise on a gorgeous night! Our waitress Erin was super helpful (our first time here- the question is why?) must have driven by here dozens of times on the way to or from somewhere else. Warm boule with seasoned oil and a family style garden salad were awesome. Had a dinner special- Parmesan coated chicken over fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and my date hate the fried seafood platter- batter was light and the seafood tasted fresh and delicious. Sat on the back deck over the marina for sunset. Beautiful night.

Lori R.

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious food! Our waitress was very attentive. Highly recommend!

Ellen B.

Yelp
I'm happy to leave a 5+ star review for this lovely gem of a restaurant! Our waitress was perfect. Our food was above and beyond and the setting was gorgeous. Lot's of pride is evident in the smiles of the staff! We ordered clam chowder, caprese burrata, haddock w/ scrumptious whipped potatoes and lovely veggies. Hubs had fried fish plate. Leftovers for days! And the bread induced goosebumps lol! We couldn't fit in dessert! Thank you for treating us like family! We will be back for brunch for hubs 60th. It was a Memorable end of summer dinner!

Jill C. J.

Yelp
You feel pretty good about yourself when you are sitting on the back deck over the water. Really nice place to be. Our waitress (I'm looking at you, Alex) was wonderful and took great care of us. And we were high maintenance with one person arriving late and all of us having to move out of the rain. Alex made it all seem very easy and was competent, warm, and funny as well as helpful. (Yes, I'm that person who always asks the servers what's good.) It's hard to properly gauge the food because we ate so many steamers and so much ceviche and bread with oil (all excellent) we got a bit full. We will have to go back and slow our roll on the appetizers. But what we ate was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the vibe was perfect for New England Seafood.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant since I was in my early 30s. The view, the menu, the food and the service have always been very good. I've also attended several baby showers and holiday parties catered by them at this restaurant. worth the money.

Korey L.

Yelp
Went to the Marina Friday night after work and it was a great vibe. The service was excellent and the food and drinks were even better. The wharfs wings were delicious. Our server, Erin, was super friendly and outgoing. We'll definitely be going back!

Christine R.

Yelp
Food was great, the wedding there totally ruined our dinner. Music blasted through the curtain separating our table from the wedding. they should have shut the restaraunt down when they are having a wedding! Go there for the food, but make sure they are not having another event there. Expressed our disappointment to the waitress about the very loud, obnoxious wedding noise, and we got " yeah sorry bout that! Not the weddings fault, totally management not respecting paying customers evening!

John S.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere pricing is decent for high quality steaks and seafood. The brunch is amazing as well

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We had my daughter's bridal brunch today and I could not have asked for more! The brunch is amazing (as always) and they serve everything from soup to nuts. Our server, Shane, was amazing! He was always available for anything we needed. He even set up the back drop for me! He went above and beyond. The ambiance is wonderful (IF I had one tiny complaint, it's that the music, a great jazz band, is a tad too loud-my guests had a little difficulty hearing each other). The room itself over looks the marina which has a huge deck outside. Great for photos! Stacy, who helped me from the first phone call is wonderful. So nice, prompt and professional. I'd love to host another event here!
