Onsen: Tenderloin Bathhouse-Restaurant Is (Finally) Taking Dinner Reservations for Pop-Ups | Eater SF

"A mid-Market market hall that will host incoming vendors in former tenant spaces on its second floor; one such space is being taken by a Fruitvale-born taco and burrito operation that will open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m." - Paolo Bicchieri

"The city’s most historic food hall is housed in a grand old building with a distinctive arched roof of copper and glass that lets light flood into the bustling interior. Come here to browse the 40 or so stalls and buy cakes, cheese, fish, meat, and vegetables to take away, or better yet, perch at a counter and eat right there amid all the hubbub of the market. The building was completed in 1889 and was landmarked as one of the country’s important buildings in 1985."

"Explore Gothenburg's Culinary Scene This is the perfect place to explore some of the culinary possibilities in Gothenburg. The old indoor food market first opened in 1889. At that time, 92 different food stalls could be found in the building. Today there are not quite as many, but you will still find all the cheese, fish, meat, fruit, nuts, and oils that you might ever need. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are several restaurants to choose from. Kåge’s Hörna, with limited seating around the bar, serves traditional Swedish husmanskost (meatballs) and pannbiff med lök (like a hamburger without the brioche, served with fried onion, boiled potatoes, gravy, and lingonberries)."

I never pass up a market visit. This one seems to have been more recently remodeled with plenty of restaurants. Higher end vendors. I think it’s unlikely the locals shop here as a primary market as it is missing produce and fish markets, but the meat, cheese, bakeries, and deli’s have plenty of fresh foods to choose from. It was a Sunday at 4pm and things did seem to be winding down with several vendors closed or starting to close

Great food hall with a mix of stall selling and places to eat and drink. The architecture if fantastic and the smells of fresh food are worth it alone. Just take a wander through, you won't be disappointed. Recommended fully.

A culinary dream. A chef’s paradise. Meats - beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. Everything you need for a picnic, a party, an Airbnb meal. A variety of salads pre-made. Appetizers from around the world. Coffees, teas, pastries, desserts galore. And excellent restaurants. One in particular- Salut - we visited twice, brought a friend, and further explored the menu. The Market Hall is a fantastic tourist visit it if you’re local (locals would know this.) Come for the sights and smells; stay for the treats and great food and drink.

Really good! I always get fresh chicken from Viltsmak at Saluhallen and they are good in taste and texture and varied cuts. Soup bones are the best and rare to find in regular stores. Love both cheese stores too. Overall a very good, freindly and cheerful ambience. I feel happy whenever I visit there

Old-fashioned gourmet food hall with vendors offering cheeses, baked goods, deli sandwiches & more- Superb.

Google
Very refined place, good food with good portions that reflect in prices. Below average service, they do smile at you taking the order, but that's essentially where the service stops if you go during late lunch hours. I would recommend to go anywhere else during lunch hours. They don't provide an experience or something that amazes you for the price level they are at.

Great food market. Where you can also sit and have something to eat or drink.
