"Vegetarians and kosher diners looking for a hearty grilled cheese to warm up with should consider The Market Local Comfort Cafe, where the classic comes with a side of chips, and a small cup of tomato soup for dipping. It also offers a French Onion Toasty, which uses its French onion soup recipe, reduced and served with fresh mozzarella on homemade honey oat whole wheat bread." - Rachel Pinn

"In the coming weeks, the Market Local Comfort Cafe will bring a bounty of Kosher dining options to a space in North Dallas. The restaurant at 13534 Preston Road is a project of chef Jordona Kohn and co-owner Stacy Clark, and will open its doors on May 24. The Market Local Comfort Cafe will focus on being inclusive, no matter their guests’ dietary preferences. 'It’s like if True Food Kitchen and First Watch had a New York baby,' Kohn says. 'Breakfast, brunch and lunch, American-style. East Coast meets local. Soups, salads, sandwiches. Nothing pretentious.' But don’t look for the typical bacon-and-eggs breakfast plate to show up on the menu at The Market Local Comfort Cafe. Because the restaurant will only serve Kosher options, pork products are literally off the table. And because in Jewish dietary law milk and meat are not permitted to be consumed together, the menu will be (mostly) meatless. 'It’s pescatarian, with options for vegans and vegetarians,' says Kohn, thanks to the addition of a separate and entirely dairy-free or Pareve kitchen. She’ll smoke and cure her own fish for gravlax, and figures that diners won’t even notice the lack of meat on the menu. 'We’re not going to be taping huge kosher symbols all over the walls,' she says. 'It’s fresh, scratch-made food that just happens to also be kosher.' In their effort to be unlike the typical kosher restaurant, Kohn and Clark also hired an designer to help them with the chic interior of the space, which combines different tile patterns with Moroccan accents and luxe finishings to create a very eclectic vibe. Coffee and breakfast service will start at 6:00 a.m., with a full pastry program, corporate catering, delivery and lots of grab-and-go options from a sliding door fridge near the bar. Look for The Market Local Comfort Cafe to open its doors officially on May 24, with Sunday brunch service (including free mimosas) to begin in June." - Rachel Pinn

It was decent. The food was good and looked delicious and our waiter was friendly. My only criticism is when I entered the restaurant there was a sign saying please wait to be seated and a lady sitting at the bar on a laptop, that didn't even get up from her seat, asked us how many were in our group and then told us to sit wherever we liked. You shouldn't have a sign up saying please wait to be seated if you're not going to greet people or if you're going to tell them they can sit wherever they like when you're not even busy. Honestly, her demeanor was enough to make me not want to come back despite the food being pretty decent.

We had a rather unpleasant experience at this café. We visited at 10.30 a.m. on a Tuesday, and apart from one other table, the place was empty. Despite the quiet atmosphere, we waited for our breakfast for 30 minutes, and they even didn’t bring a simple scrambled egg for the kids. Everything we ordered was bland, and the arugula on the avocado toast looked tired. However, I understand that taste can be subjective. What's more concerning are the objective issues: the staff were unfriendly. The bartender constantly stroked his beard and hair, touched his face, and didn't wash his hands afterward. One of the servers had her bag right on the bar counter, rummaging through it continuously. The employees were eating behind the bar, which is unacceptable for a restaurant. It's unhygienic. No one brought us the bill or checked on us, despite us hardly eating anything. It felt like they were indifferent to the customers. It's evident that the owners have put effort into creating a cool concept, interesting design, and a good menu, but they seem to overlook the most important processes. It's a shame.

Yummy varied selection of kosher food! Will have to come back next time I'm in Dallas to try other dishes. The waiter was very friendly as well.

Google
I was looking for a local breakfast spot with artisanal baked goods and so glad I gave this place a try. The house made croissant as a breakfast sandwich was so good! It had a perfectly silky yet fluffy scrambled egg with black pepper. I also added spicy aioli and spinach which added a little flavor and texture. Then I couldn’t leave without a house made brown butter glazed chocolate chip chunk cookie, which I saved for after lunch. While waiting for the order, I chatted with the owner/manager who was a delight to talk to and she shared her pride and passion for the restaurant. I highly recommend them for breakfast and will be back again to try other dishes.

Stopped here for breakfast and the serving size is definitely on the heavy side. The portion size matches the price as well. I was really craving a bagel sandwich but was disappointed with the ranch packet I was given with mine. The cupcake was too dry for my liking. The ambience of this place is great and the service was good too. Would like to visit again to see if it changes my mind.

Google
This is indeed a local comfort Cafe. The staff make you feel welcome, the atmosphere is minimalistic but comfortable, and the food is delicious. This is not typical diner food. This is food made with love, attention to quality and coordination of flavors. We're headed for our second visit while in Dallas for three days. And this time we pre-ordered some friday-only baked goods as thank you gifts. Many thanks to the Market staff and cooks for helping make our visit such a pleasure.

Google
Very tasty food and wonderful service. Friendly restaurant with atmosphere like home. Your cornbread fried rainbow trout was just like the way my mother made it. Outstanding restaurant and I would recommend it for being healthy, tasty, clean, and kosher.

Yelp
Each visit here has been memorable. Aesthetic reminds me of South America. The music played is lively and upbeat. It's more than a venue; it's a hub for community. I was excited to learn of the add of dinner time (see my photos for more info). This go round, I needed to-go parve side dish dips and challah for an upcoming last minute event. Sales associate was helpful. I wound up going with the olive and madbucha dips and challah bites (the last bag that was left/hot item!). I looking forward to sharing them.

Yelp
While visiting Dallas area looked for a kosher restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by The Market. It's a cute little place with a friendly staff. The food is really good! We went there twice during our stay and it was out of our way so that says a lot! The Mr. had the French Onion Toastie twice. It was delicious. The Mrs. had the Greek salad once and the shakahuka. The little Mr. had Mac and cheese which he declared was the best. Also had nachos which were ok. Highly recommended would have liked to try more!

Sam B.

Yelp
Two of us came in for business lunch. The honeycomb lavender was a tremendous hit. We both got the salmon, Sammie on whole wheat. It's difficult to express how perfectly done the salmon was. The bread was delicious and homemade and fresh. Everything between the two slices of bread was perfect. This was a substantial portion of food, and it was paired with hand cut potato chips made fresh. I also got one of their drip coffee's which was ok. Everything else we got though was so far beyond good that I could use the word stunning. I was just so pleasantly surprised by the food. Our server. Stephano P was welcoming and very affable. I really only have one complaint and it is more of a gripe really. I would have liked to have known that there was an up charge on the milk and also to upgrade the bread to wheat. That said, the food was the star here and we were impressed.

Robin J.

Yelp
Not impressed. Went in around 1pm and they weren't busy. Sat for several minutes and finally the waitress came over and brought a menu. I ordered iced tea. She brought tea and never came back. Just standing at the bar dancing around. I decided if service was an indicator of food - I was out. Went to the register and asked for a to go cup and said I wasn't going to be able to stay. Gave the gal a $5. She just took it. No asking about change just put it by the register. So a $3 tea and a $2 tip. I would have tipped her, but the fact that she just expected the whole $5 without even asking about change was the icing on the cake. I do not recommend.

Yelp
My spouse and I went on Sunday morning shortly after it opened and had no problem getting seated. The Sunday breakfast is now à la carte with enough great options. We first ordered some coffee an Americano and a Drip. They both tasted great the Drip was warm enough, though perhaps should have requested they pre-heat the cup : ) Believe they use Addison Coffee Roasters, a local coffee roaster whose coffee we also buy for our home use. We had the East Coaster and the eggs with potatoes. The East Coaster is a toasted bagel (your choice of bagel) with in-house cured salmon and all the fixins. For the eggs & potatoes, I subbed a croissant for the toast for an upcharge. Everything was delicious. I was a little worried that the croissant may not be up to par, but it was great. Highly recommend this place. Including tip we spent a tad over fifty bucks but it was worth it. By the time we were finished, it had filled up nicely. The Market is still an excellent place for breakfast & brunch. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Will definitely be coming back!!!! One of the best kosher places around Dallas.

K F.

Yelp
Incredible salads, sandwiches, coffees and teas. We love this spot. It's comfy, homey, great menu and great team. Ezekiel is so friendly , kind, and helpful . All of our special requests were handled perfectly! Thank you so much to the Market!

Michele M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food! I ordered the Italian Veggie Melt and it was so flavorful and the fresh hoagie bun just made the meal even better. If you get a chance to try their homemade chips, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
I don't really know what to make of this place. The not-so good: Went here on Monday lunchtime. The main issue is under staffing. Even one more person would make a huge difference, and two more would be optimal. It took about 5-6 minutes before anyone acknowledged me at the front and asked to be seated. The place wasn't full, but everyone working was very busy. It wasn't a matter of neglect, just not enough people to spare. If you need something, good chance you are just going to have to go up to the counter and ask for it. I ordered coffee, but it never came until I asked the person behind the counter. Again, I really think this is an issue of under-staffing. they are working very hard just to keep things moving at the pace they are. The food is pretty expensive for what it is. I had eggs, potatoes, a single pancake, and a regular coffee. Total bill after a 20% tip was ~$33. Other cafes of equal or better caliber are less expensive. The good: Staff is friendly when you are able to talk to them. They didn't take the fact that they were visibly over-burdened out on customers. The kitchen is very fast. I have no idea how they got my order out so quick. I will say my eggs were a little oversalted, and potatoes a little undersalted. but still good. The ambience is really nice. Quirky but tasteful decorations. This place is clearly jewish-run and it was cool to see so many patrons in that community. They do have wifi; that is very convenient if you want to study. The great: And this is why I'll probably be back, regardless of any negatives. the pancakes. the pancakes! 10/10, no question. Some of the best I've ever had, and I am not easy to impress with those. with the honey butter they have? just perfect.

Yelp
I heard about this place on Instagram and was so excited to try the chocolate babka after seeing all the photos. The chocolate babka has the perfect amount of filling--it has lots of filling! I also learned the sell out of bank as fast so you have to order ahead! I've tried the bagels, the chocolate babka loaf, the chocolate chip challah, sugar crumb challah, and chocolate babka bites. I've been disappointed with the chocolate babka loaf and find it too doughy for my liking. But the chocolate babka bites are always perfectly cooked!! And topped with sugar crumble! I didn't think the bagel was that special and was also disappointed that my chocolate chip challah had very few chocolate chips so I didn't even take pictures of those. I wish the challah had 2-3 times as many chocolate chips especially since some of my slices had none. The challah was a little dry too compared to other challahs I've tried. Still better than what I could bake myself!

S M.

Yelp
Food: Food is way overpriced. $17 for a bagel sandwich (no sides included). Flavor of the sandwich (smoked salmon) was lacking. I had to add copious amounts of salt to even taste anything. Poor quality and quantity makes this not worth coming back for. Service: Service was average. I waited over 10 minutes until someone even made eye contact and thought to come to my table. Ambiance: Decor and setup is cute. This is a small place in the middle of a run down plaza.

Charity C.

Yelp
I've only had the avocado toast but it was tasty and a nice portion. The staff was friendly when I called in my order and picked it up. So far so good, I will update this when I try more of the menu.

Daniel E.

Yelp
The staff and babka are both phenomenal! I can't make it out to Dallas but on Wednesdays, and babka is only sold on Fridays. After some back and forth and very little begging (kidding!), they made me some and didn't bake it until Wednesday. To top it all off the delivered it to my work and gave me a loaf completely free, so i was able to give one loaf to my temple as well (let's face it I can eat THAT much babka, or at least i thought. Plus, I earned a few babka points :D ) First bite from the babka brought an unintentional smile across my face. Sure you've had it before, but you haven't had their babka. It hits different! It's a beautiful medley of cinnamon and dough that truly warms the soul. I'm not joking people, you've not had real babka until you've been here!! It's like a potato chip, you can't eat just one!

abby a.

Yelp
Market cauliflower salad $18 Really great food & fresh but a bit overpriced for a salad with no meat or fish! Baked goods looked really good but didn't get to try them. Super nice staff. Will be back!!!

Pejman R.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. I haven't had a fish that I didn't like here. Also their Challah bread is a must have!

Ele M.

Yelp
What a GEM this place IS! I am so happy to have found it! It's like something out of a storybook, honestly! A friend and I were in need of a new coffee shop and were lucky enough to have stumbled across this cafe! It's in a great location, well kept, clean, bright, and airy! There's plenty of seating and the kind that are suitable for everyone's needs; pub style, low, booths, bar stools, and more. (Sorry, I am obsessed with seating and aesthetics!) Did I mention that there are plugs nearby, with 3 prongs, so feel free to bring your laptop buddy! That's what this place is keen for. The service was impeccable! Sarah, our waitress, is the Cafe Guru and knows a thing or two about how you should order up. Her recommendations never ceased to amaze me; from the Lavender Vanilla Lattes to the Maple Buttered Croissants. LISTEN LINDA, to Sarah! She's always right. We also ordered the Sandwich/Salad combo; which consisted of a superb Grilled Cheese sandwich drenched with butter and oozing cheese plus, a tasty Caesar Salad topped with chick peas (a first!). Everything was delightful and there was more than enough to take home. My friend girl ordered the Egg Sandwich, which was made with an Everything Bagel, and adorned with cheese and veggies! The roasted potatoes served on the side were the perfect pairing seasoned well with rosemary and other spices! We sat here and soaked up the vibes for at least three hours and did not feel guilty at all! This is just an overall cool place with cool vibes! I cannot stress the cleanliness, the awesome attitudes, and the quality food and ingredients that are served up daily here at The Market!

Mike S.

Yelp
If you are looking for your new neighborhood cafe. Then this is the place. A very friendly and cozy with a contemporary touch indoor. The cafe was excellent. We also ordered a Greek salad. The portion was generic is, and the taste was great. They also have a good food menu. They do close early, so keep that in mind.

Jen B.

Yelp
Delicious! Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the restaurant was very clean and relaxing. The avocado toast was good and so was the lavender-vanilla latte.

David G.

Yelp
This place does what most can't: appeal to the kosher and non-kosher communities. Good and atmosphere is fantastic, and unfortunately u like most kosher restaurants, the service is just as good. Have not had lunch here yet, just breakfast. Great coffee with fantastic breakfast burritos and skillet fried potatoes. Breads are really good and definitely do the Sunday brunch when they have it.

Greg L.

Yelp
great local bakery and deli. I think they are kosher. dropped by for breakfast when i was in Dallas and staying close by. Had a breakfast bagel sandwich. It was great and cappuccino was solid. i would frequent this pace again. They were out of their in house cured salmon, next time;)

Sharona L.

Yelp
Today I had the greatest salad of my life at The Market! The Mushroom Quinoa salad was incredible!

Kristen K.

Yelp
We had a wonderful breakfast today! We ordered a market breakfast burrito, breakfast tacos, and an omelet bar. Excellent! Coffee was perfect. Even on a busy holiday morning, the staff was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was cheerful, clean, and bright. Thank you for a great morning!

Michael B.

Yelp
IF YOU COME HERE THEY SERVE CRACK IN THE DRINKS, just drank the strawberry lemonade. Ive tried em all over the globe, but this one IS IT. Come buy one.

Patti S.

Yelp
We stumbled into this restaurant on our way to get coffee at Dunkin. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. It is truly comfort food in a cosy little restaurant. Breakfast is available anytime and the portions are so large, you won't need lunch. Only negative is that they were already sold out of cinnamon babka.

Jose R.

Yelp
Stumble upon this place by pure coincidence. Excellent breakfast and the pastries look amazing. The price is reasonable since it's not your typical joint. The space is nicely finished, the chairs are comfortable. A nice place to work away from home/office.

Aimee W.

Yelp
Loved our visit to The Market! Local, fresh, and good food, homemade touches and warm welcomes! This is a great place to stop for Sunday brunch! Enjoy the bar and order an omelette! The coffees are a special blend for the place so good! And they have coffee ice cubes for iced coffee!

Neil B.

Yelp
I don't see the point in being the 791st person to offer an opinion of a restaurant. I may read ten or twenty reviews of a place before deciding if it is someplace I want to try. So when we tried this new place and I realized it had only a couple reviews I decided to dive in. My wife found this place and tried to book us for their Mother's Day buffet but it didn't work out so we went the following week instead. Everything was delicious, including eggs made to order. I had an omelette with cheddar, onion, tomato and lox. So light and fluffy, I forgot to take a picture before I ate it all. Lots of baked in house breads and baked goods for dessert. The chocolate babka was amazing, and I was skeptical since I prefer cinnamon over chocolate any day. But it was good enough to go back for seconds (and thirds). Looking forward to going back and ordering off the menu!

Chelsea P.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! Their food is delicious but also the place is so cute! On Fridays they also have a florist come and I can't leave without buying a bouquet. Immaculate vibes all around.

Ayah Z.

Yelp
Wanted to try a new place Wish I didn't honestly the menu had very few options with nothing really special that caught my eye. Any meal that was on the menu looked something simple that I can whip up at home and make it better. Food is very basic and bland nothing really special and the cherry on top way too over priced for nothing

Liat S.

Yelp
Ok so the foood here is sooooo goood and my fav type of menu. I got the half grilled cheese Sammie/half Greek salad and it was amazing. I'm always looking for cute place that have good vibes and this type of food. I'm vegetarian and kosher so this place is like a dream!!! Would def recommend. Only issue I had is that I couldn't choose what I wanted on the menu because it all looks so good!!!

Cinda S.

Yelp
Great little restaurant! Kosher Stacie waited on us and was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was amazing. This was our 1 at visit. We both had the delicious 3egg spinach mushroom omelet. Yumm! Coffee is exceptional ~ Definitely a thumbs up. Thank you for the care in preparing our food. Blessings ~

Sheila C.

Yelp
If you like flavorful food, this is NOT the place for you. I was sooooo disappointed when I looked at their simple menu with huge prices. I ordered the fish for $20 and you talk about disappointed, nice portion, but no flavor. First and last time going here.

D'Landria F.

Yelp
I spotted this neighborhood gem while doing some shopping nearby. Even by peaking through the window in passing, I was intrigued. The place looked vibrant and fun. I visited for brunch with my partner and a friend on a Sunday soon after. I love the decor...farmhouse chic! The restaurant was in a soft opening phase so there was no brunch menu but that was an elaborate buffet of brunch items with complimentary mimosas. The options included various baked goods, smoked salmon and custom omelets and eggs. I was disappointed to hear that they had run out of their house made smoked salmon. Smoked salmon is my absolute fav breakfast protein! The waitstaff was helpful and friendly. At some point, the owner who is female came over to chat with us and refill our mimosa glasses. I'll certainly visit again soon!

Mark B.

Yelp
I drove past this place and saw the beautiful building and immediately wanted in. I was around the town for some errands and needed a bite before continuing my tasks. Walked in, in a not-so-formal outfit, and was greeted poorly by the believed owner of the store and a couple of employees. (I had guessed they believed I was lost). I felt slight judgement due to my clothing not being formal or as nice as some other people in the cafe. I sat myself at the bar awkwardly and didn't feel as though there was a comfortable or welcoming atmosphere.I saw they had a café Mocha which is my go-to Latte Beverage, ordered it, and it came beautifully. I loved the café Mocha, I got it with oat milk. It was super well done and so delicious! I got the bagel with their house jam, which this day was mixed berries. Upon arrival of the bagel it wasn't toasted, no problem due to the fact that it wasn't said on the menu. So, I asked for the bagel to be toasted. The first time it came back without any color. Then I asked who I believe was the owner of the store if I could get it retoasted. She remarked to me, "usually people just get it the way it is, cause they are homemade." Which I believed was an interesting comment. After some time lasted,my server, Miguel asked me, "would you like it brown at the top?" Which I replied, "yes please." This made for a long wait for a toasted bagel. While waiting for it to toast a couple walked in, in which the believed owner of the store greeted kindly and with a lot of enthusiasm. (They we're dressed formally and looked wealthy.) Either way, I finally got the bagel toasted. The warm crunch along with the made-from-scratch jam was luscious heaven. The bagel reminded me of an authentic East Coast bagel which brought me back home. That being said, I'm personally someone who cares a lot about customer service. I'm not a big fan of prejudgments and unequal service. Although the food and the coffee were excellent. I saw room for growth in the customer service. Towards the end of the meal they began to act more kindly which I heavily appreciated and one girl even remembered a comment I had made earlier. But the treatment that was given at the beginning was quite uncomfortable and made me feel out of place. I may come back again due to the food, and hopefully to a little bit better service.

Jesse B.

Yelp
Very strange place, with a very limited menu. They mainly have breakfast and salad items, but refuse to cook some items on the menu. For example, pancakes. It was 11AM and my mother asked for pancakes. The waitress said she'd have to get special permission from the chef. Why?? After some pleading on my mom's behalf, they finally agreed to make pancakes. You shouldn't have to beg for items already on the menu. Not the greatest service, and the wait staff make you feel like they're doing you a huge favor by helping you. Get used to repeatedly begging for silverware also. Hard pass.

Sara S.

Yelp
You don't get utensils unless you ask. Poor service. Pease serve pancakes all day. Also be more friendly when people are standing by the door waiting. Don't order them to sit down on the cushion like Jordana does. Just polietly say 'would you like to have a seat & rest your legs.

The Wandering J.

Yelp
A very good experience. We went there to celebrate our son's birthday. The staff was wonderful. They allowed us to decorate the table. As soon as our son arrived they all sand Happy Birthday to him. The food was excellent. My wife and I ordered salads with salmon. He ordered a tuna sandwich. His wife ordered noodles. They specially made some delicious pancakes for our granddaughter. The chairs were remarkably comfortable for a restaurant. The decor was modern bright and clean. The bathrooms very exceptionally clean. We now want to try it for breakfast. Will be back soon. Oh yes..... its strictly kosher.

Tara F.

Yelp
Since my Google review was deleted I am adding one here. This place is overpriced and overrated. We paid $3.50 for a cup of coffee and none of the servers ever asked if we wanted a refill or if we needed anything. They walked around looking busy even though the place was dead. The food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. I never leave bad reviews but I felt this was warranted.

Elisha S.

Yelp
Passed by several times and finally stopped by to check it out with my daughter. We arrived during open hours 9-2:30 (2:10 p) and stood at the wait to be seated sign. We watched a family celebrate a birthday and a full staff scurry about attending to patrons without being greeted and it's an extremely small restaurant. Eventually we were acknowledged and expected to be seated. Greeter checked his phone and explained their kitchen closes 30 min before their posted hours and wished the times could be reflect this and smiled "sorry". If you go, plan accordingly. I don't plan to return.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Great baked goods and coffee.. Bagels are fresh and tasty, signature latte is really good flavored but not to sweet.

Beth R.

Yelp
Excellent service, amazing chef driven menu, cozy atmosphere. A great neighborhood spot that just happens to also be Kosher. Try the mushroom toast and soup of the day, you won't be disappointed.

Jack H.

Yelp
Food is good, the price is on the higher side, half sandwich or salad with a cup of soup for $16. Cortado was great and reasonably priced ($4). Earl Grey ($3) was not my cup of tea, it smelled and tasted somewhat low quality. Service was subpar, we (and couple other parties) waited almost 10 minutes before getting seated because the table didn't get cleaned in time. The servers were nice but difficult to get their attention. Other parties arrived and ordered after us got their food served before ours did. The place wasn't very clean, the table felt sticky, there were food crumbles on the chairs and floor. I do feel the main reason for all of that was due to the place been understaffed, there were only 2 servers and one of them seems new on the job. At this point it is difficult for to me to recommend The Market Local Comfort Cafe to others. Hopefully they can raise the service level at my next visit :)

Scott T.

Yelp
A great new find for us. Beautiful and comfortable with a great staff. I love that one of the owners was there greeting everyone. Hand-made Kosher breakfast buffet is incredible.

Daniel S.

Yelp
Everything homemade. Really loved meeting one of the owners. Had the croissant egg sandwich and it was amazing! Can't wait to come back for the bagels!!!

Laura G.

Yelp
I love this place to pieces! The food is wonderful and the pastries and Challah bread....the BEST! Stacy and Jordana have done an amazing job at bringing a modern twist to a neighborhood café breakfast and lunch place. As far as the lower ratings that I have read, I firmly believe that this little neighborhood café took off with more popularity than was expected and staff is still undergoing training and yes, there are a few glitches but come on folks! The food is good! The bakery items are fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful! Give these wonderful people a break and even a second chance! I am thankful that there is finally a place I can go and grab something small for my lunch hour that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg! The price of a homemade bagel is under a dollar fifty! A cup of HOMEMADE soup is $4 and delicious! Support our local people! This place is really, really good!

Cynthia M.

Yelp
If you want to enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or coffee & pastries you have to try The Market! I happen to stumble across this amazing restaurant on friday I orderd a delicious tuna sandwich with a tomato basil soup. The portions were perfect! I was so full that I couldnt eat anything else.So I decided to order a loaf of Challah to eat with my pasta over the weekend and a Chocolate chip cookie.I was advised they have fresh Challah every friday. They also have fresh bagels, cookies, blueberry loafs and atleast 6 other pastries that I need to come back and try.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Yelp
I was excited to check out a new kosher restaurant this morning after reading the reviews here. The decor & food looked fabulous. But now I understand the pancake review posted below . . . I stopped by this morning planning to buy a few bagels to take home. Apparently on Sundays, a dine in buffet menu is the ONLY option. They refused to sell me 3 bagels @ 10am in the morning! I hope this changes in future - disappointing. I was given no explanation & no bagels! I suppose they should at least clarify, AYCE brunch is the ONLY Sunday option.

Yelp
This is a new place on Preston Road close to 635. I was driving by looking for a place to eat and notice a white brick building with a black&white sign "The Market". I was told this was there soft opening and the've been open for 4 weeks. There's signage "THE MARKET- Please wait to be seated however staff was just running around with no focus. I ordered the Tuna Melt and what I received was a nice looking regular tuna sandwich but definitely not a tuna melt. The bread was not toasted at all. I got a young man's attention to advise my order was not correct. He informed me it had cheese on it SO that meant it was a tuna melt lol. A customer next to me with the same order I asked him to look at her sandwich that was toasted. He still didn't get it. They returned later with my "Tuna Melt" that had one sandwich toasted at the top and the other lightly toasted. On the inside a corner of my bread was burnt. One of the waitress came over and told me my order was on the house. I had planned to take half of the sandwich with me but it wasn't that great so that didn't happen. I was told by guest next to me that there were pastries at the bar and she returned with a huge cookie but no pastries were on the menu that I could see. May check back in a month to see if the food has improved.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. It had a nice modern vibe. My wife and I returned our coffee. It tasted sour. We noticed another patron had also returned their coffee. It's 10 AM and they're out of salmon. Bagel was served lukewarm. It's neither toasted nor fresh. It felt microwaved. Breakfast potatoes were good. The avocado toast without eggs was on point. Unfortunately that is not enough for us to come back.

Yelp
I'm getting California coastal, very clean, desert type decor vibes up in here. This place is absolutely adorable, Dallas we need more neighborhood restaurants like such. Very healthy plus comforting clean dishes to choose from. I was greeted properly when I arrived, everyone was very professional and extremely nice. But let's talk about the music!!!! A M A Z I N G, everything just flows perfectly, I completely forgot I was in Dallas . Kudos to the owners and staff for such a gorgeous gems you have brought to the city.
