Stopped for a bite & a latte with my girlfriend on the way to the airport on Monday…had the Maggie May and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life!!! Everyone we talked to was so sweet and both the Chai and Pumpkin pie lattes were amazing. The barista Brandi was so kind and friendly, put the cutest lettering on the cups and even offered to add more pumpkin pie syrup which I really appreciated. I was having a really bad day and their fun flair cheered me up immensely. Just goes to show what a little kindness can do for someone’s week. Will most definitely be coming back next time I’m in the Berkshires :-)

Excellent lunch place if you are looking for a healthy and tasty option. I got the Spicy Eggplant Wrap which was delicious - kind of like a light Indian curry with salad in a wrap. They have three different vegetarian wraps to choose from. Cafe drinks were also sweet and well done. Service was very fast when we visited.

Had the "Not So Hippie" Burger and it was really tasty. Solid fresh bun, enjoyable aoli, and a very packed assortment of toppings. The burger itself was also tasty! My partner got the French Onion Grill cheese. She loved the flavor. It was a small size though I'd say. Both dishes came with a pickle but no other side option was available. We also tried the homemade pop tart and I'd highly recommend. Fair price for a homemade pastry and the filling was just enough and toasted perfectly.

The BEST sandwiches ever! My only"complaint" would be that they could use a bigger area for dining. Fantastic food and service 🤤❤️

I got the Curried Chicken Salad Wrap minus greens and tomatoes, as well as an iced Butterbeer Latte - both were super delicious! Honestly one of the best wraps I've had in a long time; the curry mayo is so nice. The vibes of the cafe in general are also very nice - sitting on a cushioned bench near the window, it was exactly the kind of place I wish I could set up with my laptop and write or just hang out people watching for a while.

The Marketplace Cafe is an excellent restaurant for lunch! We stopped by on our way back from visiting The Clark and had great salads and sandwiches. Here’s a tip that might prove helpful. You only have to pay for the parking meters until 4pm.

Was in town for work and I stopped here twice. Once was during the busy lunch rush and I was amazed at the efficiency and hard work of the staff. Second time was less busy. Both times excellent food and service. Also the little pickle that comes with the sandwich is great!

Man this was quite a delicious lunch! Food was ready so fast and was flavorful and good quality. I also had a dirty chai and that was delicious.

Good sandwiches! We had the spicy eggplant wrap, the Maggie May, and the chicken avocado panini. All really good. Parking is always a down side for us when you have to park on the street, but can't fault the cafe for that. Staff was friendly enough. The food came out super quick.

Cute little café. We came for some matcha and desserts, but they also had a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps. The staff was friendly, and the place has a cozy, well decorated vibe.

After sight-seeing and museum-strolling, we were ready for lunch. The Berkshire Museum gift shop attendant recommended a few places in town for lunch, with Marketplace Cafe being one of them. And we were happy with the choice (plus it helped that there seemed to be a lot of folks going in and out of it). There is a dine-in area but the Marketplace does a brisk take-out business. After biting into our lunches, we saw why! My curry chicken wrap was delicious; my wife's kale and quinoa salad ("Stockbridge Bowl") was also very good and filling. They have a varied selection of salads, soups, and sandwiches, they all sounded good, so there should be something to please anyone!

Stopped for a quick bite prior to Joan at the Barrington Stage Company. Great soups, fresh salads, killer matcha latte and hearty sandwiches all served with heart and smiles!

Sandwiches at this place are top notch. I came here on two separate occasions for lunch trying different sandwiches and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and flavor. Favorites were the MPC Chicken Avocado panini, BLT, and the Roast beef sandwich. All were well stuffed with fresh veggies and protein. Delicious! Staff was friendly and prompt.

We stopped in after a movie to have lunch. Ordered the curry chicken, soup special, tuna on wheat. Everything was delicious. I asked for help to wipe down a table and the guy in the back didn't hesitate to assist and also cleaned the other tables. The service was fast and the ambiance was great. We'll be back!

Great little spot to pickup and either take out to go or snag a COVID socially distanced table if available for a Hot/Cold beverage or snack I opted for small hot Mocha Latte and friend went for cold and a cookie. All was tasty and quickly crafted and delivered.

Yummmmyyyy in my tummmy!!! Post holidays I love me some clean healthy food. (You know, to cancel out all that glutinous eating... balance amiright?) The Marketplace Café offers tasty options where you don't compromise flavor for health. I ordered the No Name Wrap and it was divine. The edamame provided texture, the hummus was silky smooth and the greens made me feel refreshed. Highly recommend this place and would come back again. Sorry no pics of the food, I ate it too fast

We've ordered from here a few times recently. Their rotating soups are great; the turkey barley soup and the tomato cheddar soup are standouts. Their sandwiches are also excellent; my friend really liked the Oh Mexico and I enjoyed the Maggie May on telera bread. Actually, their breads are all quite good. They are reasonably priced and everything we had was good enough that we would get it a second time (at least).

Great food, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is familiar without being boring and has some wonderful surprises. What else could one want?

Freshest salad, delicious sandwiches. Generous on the fillings. My daughter had the BLT and it had lots of bacon, fresh greens and tomatoes--so good! The iced tea is delicious!

Very friendly and helpful. Stockbridge Bowl with curry chicken was large, fresh and flavorful. The gluten free brownies was one of the best I have had. Outdoor seating among colorful planters of flowers was an added plus.

Looking for a place to have a post-hike dinner, We took the recommendation from Yelp to try this place. Parking is a little tricky, and RESERVATIONS should be made in advance. There is a lovely bar to sit at, and limited, small table outdoor seating that looked like it was meant for to-go orders. We decided to share the creamy carrot soup, cheese board with the amazing garlic jam (on the bread? Yesss!), and the Salmon over dill risotto. It was not a large piece of salmon, but it was deliciously cooked. I didn't see any dill in the risotto, but it was tasty. There were some locals seated near us, indicating that this was truly a go-to restaurant. I Enjoyed a delicious paper airplane drink and my partner had an old fashioned. Great end to an evening hike.

I wish they still used Doordash. When I called to inquire about this, the person who answered the phone was quite brusque and just said "We don't use them anymore" and "no" when I asked if there was any other delivery option. It's too bad because otherwise they'd still have my business, but even when I'm nearby I don't really want to go because of it.

Great place to get a clean and yummy salad and lemonade. Efficient service and lgbtq friendly. Good location and easy parking. Not cheap, but reasonably market rate. Casual sidewalk seating.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch. The sandwiches were SO good! Best wrap I've had in a while. You go through an ordering line and then take out or sit and they will bring it to you. When I travel back this way I will definitely stop back in for sure. The staff was polite and they were quick. Cute little spot that had locals in and out. If it's busy- it has to be tasty!

Had the Curried Chicken Salad Wrap and an Americano. Both were awesome, as were the staff who work here. In town for just a few nights to ski some nearby mountains, so I appreciate the clean food and good coffee that's available here. The brekkies menu looks tempting so may come back in the morning!

Good clean and fast. Healthy organic options. The salad I had was really good. I service seemed rushed but it wasn't by any means bad. Just not exceptional. Overall would definitely eat here again and recommend for a quick healthy meal.

This was an amazing restaurant. Server was so friendly and gave us great advice on what to order. I got the Zoe burger, which was amazing! It had green apples which gave a great crunch. The sauce was amazing, and the veggie burger inside was was tasty. The restaurant had a great vibe to it! There was beautiful artwork on the walls as well. Hope to be back!! Thank you for this amazing lunch!!

Always can find some delicious fresh treat and savory delight to feast on when venturing off the main road in either Sheffield MA or Great Barrington! Service with extra smiles are always available here. The menu changes with seasonal creative choices and the staples are forever consistent! I know they do catering AND it does feel like you are indulging in foods served at a well curated event! I return again and again and never tire of this company's Food Fare!

Good quality ingredients and good service. I would recommend the oh mexico sandwich. The coffee was well brewed- very smooth! They cater to vegan and vegetarian cliental as well.

Not a fan yet. Had "Shay's Rebellion" for a late lunch. Tasty, but so small. Maybe it would have at least looked bigger had it not been panini-ized. Panini-fied? And there was nary a "sprout" as promised on the menu board. And I love my sprouts.

Not many vegetarian options, (I think there were two aside from a salad) I had the French onion grilled cheese panini. The sandwich was tiny, and cost $13 with tip.

Sooooo the sandwiches were very dry. The lemonade is unbelievably watered down, and don't even get me started on the dinky size of these pickles. I ordered a small portion of food and suddenly $45 dollars was gone from my bank account, just like that. The lettuce was as yellow as the sun, and I think they forget what a good portion of dressing looked like. They even forget my lemonade AND chips, so I had to walk the 20 ft from my car to the door and ask for it. I shall never return. Have fun emptying your wallet for no reason if you choose to go here.

Staying in New Ashford for a long weekend, stopped here for a quick lunch after hitting the local planet fitness. It turned out to be the best decision of our trip so far. We ordered the Hail the Kale and the Naked Granny salads both were amazing!! Also they were so big we couldn't revenge finish half of each....I'd suggest splitting one salad and a small side if you're not starving and aren't big on left overs.

I would start off by saying the food is excellent. But from my vantage point if the food is great but the service is annoying, then I won't eat there again. First off walking in, the guy behind the counter immediately started with the masking nonsense. Mask over mouth and nose. Not only does he say it, he also acts in out in case you didn't hear him. This man thinks he's a flight attendant on an airplane. Since February 15 indoor masking has been lifted in Massachusetts, but this guy can't give up his ego of telling people what to do. So if you don't want to be a passenger on his ego trip don't go in. Followed by being served on very small paper plates. OK, fine, I get it that everybody's too lazy to do dishes now. We asked for a fork and a knife and, they brought one set. There are two of us eating. We asked for another set of knife and fork, got a big eye roll. Sorry. But some civilized people don't like to eat with their hands. Once we were done eating, we asked for a to go box. Another eye roll. Won't be back. Unfortunately for the owner, his or her help don't seem to know that once you make a bad impression, that impression lasts for 28 years. We know this because we are also in the hospitality industry. Too bad. The food is really excellent. But the attitudes make it not worth it. Won't be back. As an aside, if Mr. Covid crazy was really worried about his health, he'd get on a ladder and clean out the air vents. There's more bad unhealthy air circulating in that place from the filthy vents, than you would ever have to worry about from people just walking into the restaurant.

We ate at Marketplace based on the awesome Yelp reviews (thank you, Yelp!). Our GPS had a somewhat difficult time finding exactly where it was (which was a bit odd, since it's right on North Street - a main street), but we eventually found it. I was so overwhelmed by the menu choices - there are SO many and they all sounded amazing. We asked the guy taking our order what he would recommend and he was super helpful and very friendly. Ultimately, we split the: - Ooh, Mexico (Grilled chicken, pepperjack cheese, avocado, greens and tomato with a chipotle aioli). Although EXTREMELY messy, this was also extremely yummy! The guy taking our order suggested we get the sandwich on focaccia, as that way we'd get more. A helpful and delicious suggestion! - Naked Granny Salad (Fresh greens, granny apple, goat cheese, tomato, onion and pecans with a balsamic vinaigrette). This was HUGE. It came in a giant silver bowl and was definitely the perfect sharing size. We couldn't even finish it, despite how light, fresh & tasty it was. We also had to get one of the humongous cookies. We went with the peanut butter cookie with Reese's peanut butter cups (I posted a pic on here). Crunchy, yet chewy, and so yummy. With all that, plus a Nantucket Nectar, it came out to about $22... I wish the Marketplace Cafe was located closer to me - in Boston! I want to try everyone on the menu and love the decor/atmosphere and food.

Five stars all day long great sandwiches , This place rocks they give you a good amount. and it's fresh ,I highly recommended it for sure . I frequently stop there often and i am giving it two solid thumbs up

Visited twice during a one-day road trip, the first time to get a quick pre-theatre lunch and then the second for coffee before driving back home. There seemed to be a fair number of items that were both vegan & gluten-free to choose from but I ended up getting the vegan chili (that happened to be GF as well), and it was delicious and very filling! There are some amazing-sounding sandwiches on their menu. I wish I could have tried even just one of them. Also shortly before we were finished, they had a live musician setting up and we got hear a couple songs that she played/sang, and it was lovely. Service was ok. Cashiers didn't seem to be all that friendly, though. Then for coffee, I got an iced coffee and was happy to see that they have almond milk in addition to soy milk. Did the job just fine.

This is a very solid place for a quick bite to eat or casual lunch with friends. Relaxed atmosphere and self-serve seating - nice place to bring a child too. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We wanted a quick and light lunch and found this place after our visit at the Shaker's village. The price ranged from $8-$10 on the menu with plenty of choices. We ordered curry chicken wrap, quiche and salad combo (asparagus and brie quiche and corn & funnel salad), avocado chicken focaccia, and took hummus apple wrap to go for my sleeping child. You order at the counter and they call you when the food is ready. Everything we ordered tasted great and my child LOVED the hummus apple wrap. I think I may need to do this for her lunch for school... it's basically hummus, thinly sliced apples, shredded carrots, and raisins in a wrap. It was so refreshing and what a great idea! Looked like they had some good coffee selections too. I'm a fan!

Very disappointed on the food. The menu got me sold as everything sounded delicious with a wide range of vegetarian and vegan option. The server was nice and knowledgeable, service was fast and you can sit wherever you want after you order and pick up your food at the end. However, the portion size for a hot sandwich is overpriced. I was mainly eating a lot of bread with a salad sandwiched in between. The flavor was bland for the bean burger. Overall, I was not satisfied and left hungry and upset after spending money on lunch that I didn't enjoy.

My go to place to eat! Love it. Vegan options and they taste good. The atmosphere is artsy, local artists featured. The salads are plentiful, house made dressings are tasty, veggie burger is good sized and tastes great! I recommend this place for lunch or dinner. During the day, when I'm between appointments in Pittsfield I stop in a use it for my extended office. The staff are friendly and accommodating of my picky tastes and expected service.

Sandwiches were excellent. We had a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians and there was something for everyone. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Coffee was delightful. Will definitely come back when I am in the area again.

Cute place! I got the stockbridge bowl and it was really good. Great flavor and satisfying meal (i added chicken to it).

Go for the coffee, don't stay for the food, and definitely leave before the stink stays on your clothes. It looks like such a nice, hip(ster) place to grab a coffee and a bite. Four of us went there for lunch and none of us cared for anything we ordered except the soup. We would've thrown out our sandwiches if they weren't so f'n expensive. The cashier wasn't the brightest fellow either and rung us up incorrectly. After we left the smell of old grease stayed with us for hours.

The Marketplace Cafe has THE best Turkey sandwich ever!!!! It is now my go to place. Food is great, people there are great!!! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Sadly the food was underwhelming. The avocado in the chicken sandwich had no flavor, and neither did the chicken. Mocca was weak... will not be back.

This unpretentious place is a very fine dining experience. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy quality food in the heart of Pittsfield, then look no further. They are very friendly, and have an eclectic choice of paninis, sandwiches, breakfast items, coffees, and teas. Try the Chicken avocado bacon and sprouts panini; it's their best seller, and for good reason. It's delicious. If you want great food at a reasonable price without draining your wallet, then this is a good place to visit. Good eats without feeling overstuffed. That's important--not feeling bloated, but just right after a meal. Kudos.

This place is great! They make wonderful specialty sandwiches on a very fresh bread. You will want to try them all.

Yummy for my tummy is probably all I need to say. The sandwiches are ALWAYS up to par and not one bit is wasted. I always order Bartholomew's Cobble, a scrumptious turkey sandwich with a cranberry mayonnaise. Atmosphere is great!

I ordered the arugula salad with quinoa, kale and pickled veggies. One needed a magnifying glass to find the bits of kale- it was a large amount of stringy arugula with a good amount of quinoa and pickled cabbage. The manager had to point out the bits of kale- strange, kale isn't an expensive ingredient and would've made it all much more interesting. My husband ordered the Shay's Rebellion grilled sandwich, very disappointing. The filling was cold, the cheese unmelted and the bread barely grilled and not substantial enough to hold up. Poor all around.

This place is for a easy, quick, fast service lunch or breakfast or dinner to go. Great Salads, egg sandwiches and lunch fare. It is not meant to be new or edgy, its meant to be not too fancy good food and it is. Kids like it, old people like it, young people like it, its good.
