I tried the pastrami sandwich (39 AED) and the brisket platter (66 AED) at Mattar Farm Kitchen, and here’s what I found. My benchmarks are other Dubai Southern BBQ spots, including Smokey Woods, Mr. Brisket, and 77 Texas.
* Portion sizes are not typical American style - the brisket and sandwich could be more stacked for the price.
* The brisket was juicy and tasty, probably a Brisket Point cut (the fattier part of the beef brisket).
* The drink selection could be better - just having cola, Fanta, and Sprite feels limiting. Pairing brisket with tart, non-alcoholic drinks like lemonades (grilled, berry, or herbal), iced teas (sweet or unsweet), and craft sodas (root beer, Dr. Pepper) would elevate the meal.
* The menu offers multiple ways to enjoy the BBQ — platters, wraps, burgers, and sandwiches.
* The service is spot-on — friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options.
