The Mayflower Bakery (La Flor De Mayo Bakery)

This is my second time ordering from them, and once again, they absolutely delivered! The cake and cupcakes were not only beautiful but incredibly delicious—honestly the best I’ve ever had. The texture was perfect, and the flavors were rich without being too sweet. They were also super accommodating with the pick-up time, which made things so much easier for my schedule. I really appreciated how flexible and responsive they were throughout the whole process. The custom design turned out even better than I imagined, and it made the celebration feel extra special. Highly recommend—they never disappoint!

Mayflower did a BEAUTIFUL job with our dream wedding cake. In transport we *may* have done a little number with some black icing and a lost filigree, but the cake was delivered perfectly neat and well handled. The process was smooth, the cake was delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend them and their service! As well as their strawberry and cream cheese danishes 😍

My boyfriend and I were craving some sweets and we saw this bakery pop up on Google maps. We stopped in and loved the variety of what they offered, including the traditional Hispanic desserts and foods. We ended up buying a small fruit tart and 6 macarons for a very reasonable price. My boyfriend ate all the macarons on the way home because they were so delicious! We will be returning soon!

I just bought my birthday cake from here and it was absolutely delicious. From the fresh flowers to the sweet strawberry shortcake flavor, it was quite the center of attention. They have wonderful cakes and pastries. Always a change of goodies every day.

The bakery gets 5 stars for sure!! The tamales get a 4/5 stars! They are sooo delicious, but they are expensive and have very little meat. I would definitely buy them again though. The flavor is there! I found the meat at the end of one, but the other was less meat than that. Still 4/5.

My family and I were on the hunt for some dessert for my stepdad's birthday and stumbled across Mayflower Bakery. It was a little hard to find, but parking was easy. We were greeted immediately and placed our order for a carrot cake cupcake, chocolate mouse mousse (just adorable), and a dark chocolate cake pop. Everything was fresh and moist and fairly priced. Will definitely come back the next time we're out here!

Ordered a graduation cake for my son. He completed a doctor of pharmacy degree and a JD degree. I wanted a cake to incorporate the two degrees. By providing a description of what I wanted, they came thru for me. Had 4 different types of flavor. Three for the books and top circular was strawberry shortcake. My quests raved about its appearance and also the flavors. Some was left over which I placed in freezer. One month later, defrosted and tasted still good. I keep coming back to this bakery. Their cupcakes are also out of this world. I recommend this bakery very much

Ordered a tall 6 inch cake with layers of vanilla cake and strawberry cake and 2 dozen cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. This cake was so good! I could taste each distinct flavor and they worked well together. The cake looks just like the picture I provided. There was a small issue with pickup time but they delivered it instead!! Will definitely continue to order here! 😋

We stumbled here by accident last week but life brought us near here again this week. We love visiting bakeries and in our true fashion, we ordered a lot! When we checked out- the gentleman said, "$17 something". I can't remember the exact change. We asked several times, did you get this or that. He indicated yes. We went back the second time, and thinking this time must be a lot more, again, the gentleman said, "$20 something ". What? How is this possible? We liked everything we ordered. The pictures I included are from second order of $20 something. Amazing!

The Dulce de Leche cake was amazing and they even threw strawberries on it for me. The pastries are divine. My favorite was the mint chocolate pop. I had to go back the next day for more!

If you love your self don't buy here. I bought almost $50 deserts. We left the area like 30 miles away and found out that empanadas were full of mold . We went back and showed to the cashier and asked for manager he never showed up " He said was busy" . The cashier gave us money back but no apologies or anything like that. Personally asked if he has to say anything, he responded " I have nothing else " l had to ask for an apology and beg him to remove and check everything else they have on those glasses cabinets, and have mercy for other people's health and safety. One star only for just returning my money back.

I was looking forward to trying this place but it ended up being a huge disappointment and a waste of money. I got their ~$8 cup of flan and it tasted like it was really old and moldy. I ended up throwing it away because it was totally inedible. I got some other items as well but it was lackluster. I won't be returning. :(

Wow, did not expect their cupcakes to taste so good. It was moist, creamy, and the perfect size. The ones I ate were the cannoli ones and Ferrero Rocher one. Both tasted amazing. I got a strawberry, raspberry, peanut butter, and Oreo cupcake for my neighbors which I'm sure will be a hit. The lady at the counter was super nice and they also had other baked goods like a pineapple empanada that was absolutely perfect. Also, the price is really good compared to other places. You truly get value out of your purchase here. If I lived closer to them, I would definitely visit more often whenever I had a craving for some sweets.

This bakery is not what you see on Yelp. I can't speak to the quality of the food but I can say that the actual selection in the store is minimal and I arrived on a weekday at 8:15 am. No donuts, no muffins as pictured. Don't make a special trip here. You will be disappointed.

Your bakery is "GOAT" Our Boston creme pie is the BEST we have ever tasted!! The Red Velvet cake is just like my Family bakes!!! Ambiance fantastic !! The aroma, cleanliness, display cases & decorating accessories !! Everyone we spoke with via phone & in person are Spectacular!!! They are very informative of ingredients, baking from beginning to POS! Great pricing ! QUALITY & QUANTITY Can't wait to return for more Baked Desserts!!!

STAY AWAY! Order some pastries from here and there is MOLD. See picture. Not sure how they can serve something like this. If I could give less than one star I would. Just awful! Don't want to imagine what is on the inside of the turnovers I ordered. Definitely not eating anything else. Throwing it all in the trash where something like this belongs. If you do order from here, be sure to check everything before you eat it.

Cute little shop with lots of pastries and cakes. I tried a couple donuts. Chocolate and strawberry ugh sprinkles. They were delicious. I saw a sign on the door that said they had tamales too. I will have to go back and try that next time. The shopping center entrance was a little hard to find at first.

This little bakery is a gem! Delighted to be able to support a local family-owned business with my purchase. Very large selection of fresh-baked goods. Excellent flavors. Beautiful baked goods, each clearly made with love and attention to detail. We had a chocolate-dipped biscotti, a mouse cake, and a pineapple empanada on our recent visit. So clean and well organized. Friendly helpful staff were welcoming and sweet with no pressure.

Elotes (with mayo and cayenne) was okay, it was pretty watery in the cup. Bread - I got about 36 yes 36 pieces. I told some friends I was going shopping and they ALL had to put in an order. I would say that I wish I had gotten there a little earlier. It was all decent enough but not anywhere as fresh as I would like. However, that stopped no one. I did especially like the cookies that were dipped in chocolate and were pretty tasty. I would try this place again.

The service is amazing, I've been twice and both cashiers were helpful and patient. The aroma when you first enter and in the pastries area is very pleasant. If you don't like very sweet treats this place is perfect as well. My favorite item so far is the cheese danish, will definitely be back for it :)

This is my go to Mexican bakery when im in Baltimore. Everything is fresh,moist and good!

I did not realize this was a Mexican bakery. It has quite a good selection of items all at very good prices. I really enjoyed their concha and fruit filled empanadas and the Nutella cookie. The donuts were just ok. I sampled their carrot cake as well, and the cake itself was really moist and had a good texture and flavor. The icing was not cream cheese ... Maybe buttercream based instead (?), But still tasty. I can't wait to try more of their items!

Visit the Mayflower bakery! This place has so many pastry options, you're sure to find something you like. It is a mexican bakery with conchas (soft and sweet bread), cannolis, apple turnovers, and donuts. They have savory food like tamales. The bakery can make cakes for special occasions, like birthdays or weddings. We got a mini pecan pie (enough for 1), apple turnover, and Dulce de Leche Sandwich Cookies. All three were great. When you walk in, you can tell these people are baking all day. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice and patient while we decided what to get from all the options. There were cupcakes waiting to be frosted and fruit pies that were out to rest in the back. The bakery also has a small seating area (two tables each with four chairs) and a coffee/tea bar. This place is perfect for getting goodies for a party or to pick up Sunday morning pastries.

This is a great little bakery with fresh delicious pastries and cakes. I got several turnovers, donuts, and macaroons. The macaroons were for my mom and donuts for my kids. The location is right around the corner from the long term parking at BWI long term parking. I will definitely be back.

Cute little bakery close to the airport! They had a huge variety of goods still available even in the late afternoon on a Sunday. We got a half dozen cupcakes and a little cannoli for less than $13, so that's not bad. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back when we get the urge for something sweet.

We got our wedding cake from here. Can't remember the lady's name who helped me, but she was great. The cakes I've tried from here are moist and not too sweet. There were a few times I visited this location and it seems like the employees don't know how to deal with customers or answer some of my questions like "what's in this icing?" My son has allergies, so I need to know what's in the baked goods. Our favorite items from here are the strawberry shortcake, chocolate cake, and alfajores.

We used The Mayflower Bakery for the cupcakes at my retirement ceremony. We went with the Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Yellow Cake with Chocolate frosting, and Chocolate cake and sprinkles cupcakes; they were all delicious and we got quite a few compliments from our guests. The cupcakes were freshly made right before we picked them up. I would have given 5 stars, except the person who took my order was not very helpful. If I had not read the previous positive reviews, I probable would have walked out without placing my order.

I wish I could give this place 10 Stars. Here's why: 1. SUPER CLEAN 2. AMAZINNNNNGGGG cakes 3. Superior customer service To expand, I was trusted with the task of getting a Bday cake for my boss. Why this task was delegated to the newbie from out of town, who knows? But based on reviews I found Mayflower. They were able to make the most amazing, moist chocolate cake garnished with strawberries. The cost was extremely reasonable for the quality of the dessert. Anyway, literally entering my car I straight smooshed the cake - didn't even make it into the car! *cries in klutz* Enter amazing customer service: Within 10 minutes they were able to fix my cake so no one was the wiser. Also, the cake was a HUGE HIT at the office - I am glad I took a few cards to handout because I think we will be frequenting this little gem. Sidenote: They have all the things! Cookies, biscotti, cakes, cupcakes, shortbread, churros, fruitcake, coffee...everything you need to blissfully fall into a sugar coma. Thanks Mayflower - you guys rock!!

First time trying this place. Excellent baked goods!! Donuts and pastries are creative and of good quality. Low pricing as well. I recommend Mayflower Bakery.

You probably can die from being too, very, super sweet. My taste bud went off the roof. I could not take the sweetness of Mayflower's pastry. Every pastry has intense/extreme sweetness. Aside from being too sweet, its breading is dry. Latino's baking technique makes bread dry. Mayflower has a variety of pastry but rarely you would see donuts. Besides, they make a different version of a donut. It is not the donut I am familiar with.

Great tamales on a Friday night after work. We also bought a couple of the chocolate mice, which were delicious and light, and not too sweet. This place will never break your bank either. I should add that the service was friendly and fast. We will be back soon.

I was looking for a last minute birthday cake purchase and found this place nearby! It's a small bakery filled with wide variety of goodies. I got two slices of cake (one chocolate and one tres leches with fruit). They were both super light and delicious! They weren't too extremely sweet either. The best part is that they are super affordable. Two slices of cake were only 4 dollars. Great service and delicious sweets!

Mayflower is a nice little bakery in one of the strip malls in Linthicum. It clearly has a Hispanic bent, but they have a lot of the standard bakery items as well, so it's a great place to stop in for turnovers, biscotti, empanadas, cakes, etc. They don't have doughnuts (maybe so they don't compete with the shop up the street?) but that's okay given their selection of other items. They have an interesting system where you take a tray and tongs from a stack to use to grab the items you want, and take the whole thing to the counter to pay. Kind of a fun way to do it. Oh, and my Blueberry Turnover and Strawberry Empanada both tasted great.

I frequented this business for last year and spend a small fortune there with family and corporate events. Then we went around the holiday to get cannoli shells without the stuffing since they are already soft when you buy them. The guy at the counter would not sell us the shells. No more for me. I am going to find another bakery that appreciates return business.

I looked at the reviews and being a cupcake lover I just knew I wanted to try these cupcakes. I went to this place and it is a cute shop. It has a lot of items to choose from and the prices were reasonable. I purchased 6 cupcakes for under $10. I walked out every excited. I ordered lemon, marble, carrot, red velvet, chocolate and strawberry crunch. I wanted to love these cupcakes . But I didn't. They presentation is very nice they are moist but they lacked flavor. They are just okay.

The Mayflower Bakery just opened about a month ago. Super friendly customer service and a wide variety of pastries and donuts. I ended up getting a bagel, a concha, marshmallow fluff donut, strawberry donut and a custard filled caramel donut. Donuts were a little on the denser side so the texture wasn't the typical airy ones you expect but they were still quite good. My favorite was the custard filled one. Bagel was good too. Overall, seems like a great bakery and a good add to the area! Good service too.

Really great pick your own styled bakery with modern american, Mexican, and Puerto Rican influenced baked goods. Every one of them better than the last, and their macaroons are on point! The staff were amazing and gave us an explanation of everything that they offered before setting us loose. P.S. They have gluten, sugar, and diary free desserts here as well.

Unprofessional!!! I made an appointment two days prior for Jan 4th. I arrived 10mins early for my appointment and was told that the manager was not there. I was fuming because I left work early to get there. I never received a call/email prior to my appointment that I needed to reschedule. Today is Jan 9th and I have yet to hear from anyone. I do not recommend this business at all!! I'm never going back. So unprofessional. I definitely understand that emergencies may arise but I should've received some type of correspondence to reschedule. Totally unacceptable.

I ordered about 12 different pastries/sweet breads and each one was fresh and flavorful. Loved the flaky- and buttery-ness the most! Can't wait to come back!

I ordered 50 cupcakes for a work party. I purchased them over the phone and it was very easy. Pick up was really easy too. They had them ready on time. And the best part... these were the best cupcakes I have ever eaten! The strawberry cupcakes are the best! I would give them six stars if I could!

Needed to get a cake for my mother's 90th birthday party and decided to try this bakery near my home. So glad I did! Ended up going with a red velvet cake and it was the best I have ever had! So moist and fresh. All the guests raved about the cake and needless to say, there was only one small piece left for mom to take home. They also have a wide assortment of cookies and other treats, which all looked delicious! Thank you, Mayflower Bakery! We will definitely return!

Wow their conchas are the best I have ever had! Slightly crunchy skin dusted with sugar with a moist interior (almost like a brioche). The raisin scone was delightful, with a buttery crust and tender body. The raisin bagel was soft, not overly heavy at all. Napolean with flan filling was quite tasty as well. Looking forward to trying more baked goods from the Mayflower!

Was very happy with this bakery initially, but it has really gone downhill. We had the worst birthday cake from Mayflower: it was supposed to be gluten free vanilla cake with almond buttercream: it was an extremely stale cake with some sort of cool whip frosting, and my name was misspelled on the cake- inedible

Five stars! An affordable and delicious panaderia with lots of variety, really kind staff, and family owned! Tried excellent cherry tart, concha, apple and pineapple empanadas. I live 20 mins away but will be back, worth the trip.

This place is super cute. Nice mix of classic Hispanic and contemporary baking. My kids love the donuts my wife loves their churros and I'm a sucker for their cannolis.

Stopped by and grabbed several pastries and they were all delicious!!!!!Such a great variety, the shop was very clean!!! Will set go back again!

Daytime review: Friendly staff. Great little place that opened in early 2019. Grab fresh baked treats or order something nice for a party or special occasion. I enjoyed the carrot cake with butter cream frosting. 4 out of 5 I'm a fan.

Honestly I had a horrible experience with the workers. I order a simple valentines heart container with chocolate covered strawberries a week before the date. When I come in to pick it up it takes them up a half an hour to retrieve me my order, keep in mind it was not busy at the time I was there. And they inform me that my order couldn't have the boxing it was promised to have. Horrible service and store. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

My mother-in-law is picky about her red velvet cakes, so for fun her sons got her two different RV cakes for her birthday: one from Mayflower, and one from a grocery store. The Mayflower cake won hands down! And looking at these other reviews is really making me want a concha :)

This place is awesome!!!! My husband had a fruit tart and I had a chocolate mousse mouse. Both were delicious. This bakery knows how to make some delicious treats! We are from out of town, but we will make it a point to come back next time we are in town.

They got bakery classics including cannolis and mini pies. Also have Latin deserts, I got a Mil hojas with flan filling. Plus staff are really friendly and provide suggestions!
