We had a great time at The Mayor’s Table Pacific Pub and Kitchen. Guy, our bartender, was amazing—super knowledgeable and clearly focused on making sure we were happy. His attention to detail really stood out, and he made our visit memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Celebrating Christmas Eve Brunch at the Mayor's was incredible. Not only did they have the largest selection of top-quality foods, but their service was fantastic! It was all you can eat, and it was hard to stop devouring plate after plate. They had really refreshing iced tea with rose water in it. I didn't expect to see an ice sculpture as their centerpiece. I hope to come back again soon, as it was quite the experience.

I’m not sure why this place has 4.2 stars! Everything from the ambiance to the food and service was amazing. Jordan and the staff were outstanding, providing excellent recommendations. We loved every aspect of our experience!

My family and I ate here for breakfast while staying at the hotel. The avocado toast and summer yogurt were both excellent. The pancakes looked amazing but we're less flavorful than I expected. Service was friendly, but slow considering there were only a few other patrons when we were there. The ambiance is great- lovely decor including photos of old mayors. The hotel is built on the site of the old city hall and parking lot.

I am staying at the Lido House and went there for dinner with my wife and 2 daughters. We wanted to sit at the lounge by the fire. We were seated and given water. No server came by for 20-25 minutes. My daughter made eye contact with the waitress several times but she never came. We decided to get up and go to Skal Pizza. I highly recommend Skal as the ambience is great.

Superb experience all around! 10/10 We grabbed a yummy drink from the rooftop and then headed here for dinner. The whole staff was so welcoming and lovely. Dinner was so delicious, I can’t wait to visit again soon. They had live music which we loved as well. They even gifted our babygirl with a darling stuffed animal from the gift shop- incredible customer care. I highly recommend the Pork Chop 🤤 & PB dessert!!

Our experience at The Mayor’s Table was extremely disappointing and, frankly, upsetting. Our family, both from in town and out of town, were dining together with my 7-year-old niece, who has special needs and strict dietary restrictions, requiring her to bring her own food. Rather than showing any understanding, General Manager Quentin Gravet insisted on enforcing their “no outside food” policy in an uncompromising manner. When we tried to explain her situation, he even suggested they could “put her in a room to eat,” which was not only unaccommodating but also deeply unsettling for her. This scared her and made her feel singled out and unwelcome. As a family, we felt the lack of compassion and flexibility was shocking, especially in a setting that should prioritize the comfort of all guests. I would advise anyone with children or dietary needs to think twice before choosing The Mayor’s Table. We won’t be returning, and I hope management considers a more empathetic approach for future guests.

We celebrated 2 birthdays here for Sunday brunch. The food was overall pretty good, I liked the crab cake Benedict and kids liked the souffle pancakes. But the service was just ok. There seemed to be some kind of issue, because our reservation was at 9.15 but they weren't ready for us until 9:30. The server was not too friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the summer weather. Maybe willing to give it another try.

Yelp
Chef Escobar hit it out of the park. We stayed at The hotel and were not sure where to go. Very grateful for Colin's excellent recommendations. The flat iron steak is reasonably priced, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The truffle risotto is a MUST. Flavor and texture are power packed and super fresh. You have to try the Hawaiian tuna toast. Fresh, sweet, spicy and the sour dough is exceptional. We were stuffed but were told the dessert was amazing. We went for the 13 layer chocolate cake. If you grew up on Claim Jumper imagine a fancy version with flavor x3. So rich but not overly sweet. So good that we are coming back for breakfast and I'm bringing my girls for brunch. Ignore the Karen's. The food is 10/10.

Yelp
Celebrated my parents' 59th anniversary here tonight at father's request, based on recommendation from my brother. It's located in the Lido Hotel which is nice. We arranged for a private room for our party of 10 which was very nice and away from the main dining room so it was nice and quiet. We had our own server for our party. The wait for our food was quite long, even after getting some starters. Regarding the food that I personally had, I'll share the good and bad. They claim their Wagyu burger won an award for Best Burger in Orange County and their fries won Best in the Country. I don't believe either of those claims. First of all, they can't even cook it right. My sister-in-law's burger, which she requested to be prepared well done, came out RARE! My burger, which I equestrians to be medium, came out rare to medium rare. She sent hers back but it came back barely medium rare. Still nowhere close to well done. I ate mine as is and while the flavor was ok, it was nothing special. I've had plenty of better burgers. My wife had the braised short ribs, which I tasted. Now that was delicious. I forgot to mention the starters they brought out. The best was the bread with the onion dip. I forgot what they called this dish. It was the highlight of the meal, in my opinion. There was another bread which was like a long pretzel bread that came with a special butter. This was also excellent. My Mom had the trout, which I tasted, but it wasn't anything special. Bottom line, I have no desire to return. Over-hyped and overpriced.

Yelp
My husband and I go out to dinner several times per week. Last Saturday night we had an amazing dinner at The Mayor's Table. The wait staff was outstanding. The chef came out to meet us and ensure the meal was up to our expectations. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Had brunch and loved every single item. The vanilla almond milk latte was divine, shakshuka breakfast was so delish and the cheesecake was a creative experience. Our server Tiffany made the start to our 12yr wedding anniversary very special! We look forward to dining again.

Yelp
Staying in Lido house to celebrate Hubby's birthday. For breakfast i ordered pancakes. They use Top notch ingredients. You can feel in every bite. It was fluffy and super delicious. Ambiance & the vibe was just perfect. Super cute spot brunch or date night. Service was really good. The server def took pride in the ingredients they serve. overall it was just perfect. Looking forward for my breakfast tomorrow again.

Yelp
So let me just start by saying I REALLY wanted to like this place. I try not to write bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. But I do try to approach Yelp with some fidelity to its purpose. Also, let me just say, this won't be a bad review because it honestly wasn't bad... it just wasn't great. So let's start with the good. It really is a beautiful space. It's both upscale and relaxed. It's comfortable in the nicest way possible. A great place to catch up with friends. Also the service is great. Shout out to our server, Jose. He was phenomenal. Made sure to check-in but didn't hover. He definitely made the experience comfortable. If service and ambiance were the only qualifiers, I'd happily give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately the food was a bit underwhelming. It did, however, start off well. They provided an amuse-bouche which was a nice touch. I wasn't expecting it so I ate it before taking a picture or even getting clarity on what it was. A blue cheese stuffed grape tomato is likely the best description I can provide. Suffice it to say, it was tasty. We ordered the baked onion dip for a starter. This was the star of the night. The bread, some sort of pillowy pita, was insanely good and the dip was so flavorful. I would come back just for this. For mains we ordered the pork chop (which came highly recommended), the burger and the truffle orecchiette and cheese. It was fine. All a bit bland but a bit of a let down. I'm willing to try this place again. It really is a beautiful space and the menu is seasonal so perhaps I'll find something I like better. Again, not a bad experience just not a particularly good experience. I think 3 stars is about right.

Yelp
Wow I don't know what we did to receive such outstanding service. I enjoyed a beautiful dinner with my boyfriend last Saturday. Our server was so kind and made great suggestions. We both enjoyed a delicious sour. We were treated to a fried I think Panko Shitake Mushroom shareable again compliments of the chef! I ordered the Roasted chicken that literally melted in my mouth. He ordered the salmon which was equally divine and man oh man we were so happy with our date night experience here ! I look forward to coming back for date nights and I'll definitely be sharing my experience with my clients ! Thank you

Summer P.

Yelp
My husband and I had the most incredible dinner at Mayor's Table. We ordered the chefs choice option and our server, Jose and Chef Escobar went above and beyond to make the experience 11/10 and completely personalized! All of the food brought out for me was pregnancy-safe. Thank you Jose and Escobar for being so heartfelt and accommodating! Every dish was absolutely amazing (kicking myself now because I didn't get pics of all the food), I can't wait to come back when not limited to pregnancy-safe foods!

Jenn R.

Yelp
We recently had food from this establishment as we were visiting Lido's pool. Overall, every item we ordered was overpriced, overcooked and flavorless. The $18 chefs best fries were literally the worst fries, I have had in a while. Not worth not even $1. Totally burnt . The calamari was flavorless, and also burnt overall the food was over cooked and not tasty. Drinks were ok.

Danielle Q.

Yelp
I got the burger, no onion or bacon and my son got the burger too. Mine was very juicy and good, and he liked his too. They have half off drinks and food on Sundays. I got the rose and it was light and tasted good. I wish they had a bigger selection of seafood, like a shrimp cocktail appetizer or seabass main dish. Good service

Anj W.

Yelp
Last week my daughter met friends at the pool at The Mayors Table and they ordered lunch- my daughter had the burger and brought home part of her lunch! I am not a Burger Person' I've had burgers in my lifetime and really never had one that I'd cross the street to buy! But this burger was an experience to me... AWARD WINNING BURGER 29 1/2 lb. wagyu beef, cheddar, heritage bacon, umami grilled onion, garlic aioli, chef's famous fries It was unlike any burger I've ever had- It is a two hour drive from where I live but soon I will want to return! Keep in mind by the time I tasted it, it was cold and still was unapproachable in its taste and satisfaction! Look I don't know what makes it spectacular but you won't regret going out of your way... loved it! Amazing chef- amazing burger.

Yelp
Looking to get out of the heat and have a nice brunch, we headed down to Newport Beach to the Mayor's Table after making sure they were dog friendly. The Mayor's Table is located in the Lido Hotel at 3300 Newport Beach Boulevard. It's the former site of Newport Beach City Hall, thus the name, and they have $14 valet parking if you validate at the restaurant. It had been a few years since we ate here and this would be Hanks first time testing their patio and bacon, both of which met his approval. We were excited to see they had a spectacular brunch menu (https://lidohousehotel.com/assets/design/uploads/general/MT_Brunch_071124.pdf). I ordered the Awaken Yogurt Parfait, two eggs over easy. And James' Waffle. Hank had bacon, and Robin tried their Lido Gem Salad and Crab Cake Benny. We also tried the Caviar Fries from the "Wow" section of the menu. The food and service were amazing. The food was well seasoned, fresh, great herbs, and nicely presented. The service was friendly, attentive, and the time between the starters and our meals was perfect. The Awaken Yogurt Parfait included rose yogurt, strawberry & rhubarb compote, citrus granola. Beautiful presentation and with the compote mixed in it was delicious. The Lido Gem Salad consisted of torn little gem lettuce, heritage bacon, radish, lido ranch, fine herbs. Robin thought it was fresh and loved the use of herbs on the tomatoes. My eggs were perfectly cooked, and the James' Waffle were a fun surprise. Composed of taiyaki pastry (a Japanese fish shaped cake), and three fillings: ceme brulee, electric blue matcha custard, and tonka cream, it was fun and tasty. Hank scarfed down his Falls Hardwood Smoked Bacon. Robin's Crab Cake Benny made up of dungeness crab, remoulade sauce, torn potatoes was on a fluffy sourdough muffin. The sauce was amazing and the crab and avocado tasted fresh. We shared the Caviar Fries that included petrossian caviar, herbed crème fraîche, and the chef's famous fries. The combination of flavors were terrific. Truly a memorable brunch that I would highly recommend. Looking at there breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus made us want to book a night at the Lido House in order to give the all a try.

Yelp
A first-time client wanted to try this restaurant in Newport Beach. We were the first patrons to sit down in the restaurant section and had questions about the cocktail menu. When we asked the waiter what type of alcohol was mixed in the drinks, he didn't know and/or couldn't articulate it. About an hour and 20 minutes later, we finally received our food, albeit 4 of the 7 other tables that came in after us... were already eating and/or done with their meals. After one hour and 15 minutes of waiting, our waiter approached us and apologized for the delay - and informed us that we would be given a salad "on the house" as an apology. (I'm guessing the waiter forgot to put our order in; however, kinda hard to believe since we were the first and only patrons for about 15 to 20 minutes). The food portions were very small; however, they were delicious. We had the "spicy tuna toast" as an appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious! I had the herb-roasted chicken, which was amazing. My client had the pan-roasted scallops, risotto, and Pacific seafood chowder. Again, the food was delicious, but the service was less than adequate, especially for a Newport Beach restaurant.

Katrina V.

Yelp
Gave this place a try as the original place we wanted to go to was packed and did not allow reservations. Our experience was great with Jose as our server. Took some time for him to come to our table but he made up for it with making sure i enjoyed my cocktail since I was celebrating my birthday. They make all cocktails from scratch which I like. My sea bass was ok. The skin could've been crisper. My friend and I enjoyed the side mushrooms the most. Better than either the dishes we had as it was unique and well flavored. A lot of recommendations such as the wagyu steak and French fries so an option to try for next time A lot of outdoor seating and I like the vibe of the place. I usually like to be at the bar but liked the couch seats. Inside had a cozy fireplace too

Renee L.

Yelp
This is why I don't use Yelp. Just here to leave a scintillating review for the deserving. This overall rating is a total inaccurate depiction of this restaurant. I suppose, selfishly, that it's to my benefit that I'll have this place for a little while until it blows up! 1. RICK the server and human being is fantastic. He embodies everything awesome about what a dining experience should be: a sincere, solid individual that went out of his way to ensure that we had an excellent experience from beginning to end! 2. The food was absolutely freaking delicious. Gonna be pretentious for a second but that comes from an ex-OC'er-now-New-Yorker (10+ years now). Mom had these insane fluffy pistachio/lemon/basil oil/ Chantille Cream/crack pancakes, and I had the Steak and eggs. Chef's Kiss* 3. We brought my service animal. We reserved an area on the patio and the hostess kindly informed us that we were welcome to dine in. So kind. 4. Ambiance is super chill, classy, beachy... just perfect. 10/10 experience. I officially found our mother/daughter weekend brunch spot, so we'll be back to see you soon, Rick! About to go leave a review on Google, now because it's more reliable...

Haley W.

Yelp
SO good. My dad had the pork chop, it was delicious. I had the waygu steak with Brussels sprouts. I opted to skip the blue cheese foam. It was SO good. We had delicious wines. The bartenders even gave us a mini wine tasting to try them out. The apple tart was amazing. They even let my little dog sit with us at the bar. 10/10.

Christine T.

Yelp
I like it! The service was great, the breakfast delish and the atmosphere could not be better. Loved my mimosa, screwdriver and extra (extra) crispy bacon. The only reason for minus a star because the kitchen switched to lunch early and we couldn't have pancakes. But alas, we survived and had a great visit. See you soon!

Yelp
Van D and I celebrated her bday at this restaurant at the Lido Hotel in Newport Beach. Its the site of the old City Hall. They offer seafood and vegetable forward cuisine that includes a raw bar. We started off with oysters that we liked so much that we had a second order. For our entrees, I had the steak and Van had the fish. We also split some fries. My steak was very good and medium rare as requested. However, like most of the menu, it seemed overpriced. Van really disliked her fish bc there were a lot of bones. On the hand the fries were excellent bc they were GBD and bc of the truffle. Regarding the ambiance, its a big space and they have outdoor seating also. Its open air and you can see the kitchen. Our waiter José was super nice and attentive. He took excellent care of us for this special occasion dinner. Although this is 4 Stars, I will likely not return. The menu is limited, and we really wanted to try the octopus, that we saw on older menus. They change the menu here frequently, which can be a good and a bad thing.

Sam S.

Yelp
Where do I begin? We went here to celebrate our daughter's upcoming trip to London for school and we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate. Beautiful dining room with excellent service. Complimentary Prosecco to start with is an excellent touch. José, our server made sure that our evening was a fun and memorable experience. Each and every suggestion he made from cocktails to entrees was spot on. The cocktails were all delicious and well presented. Appetizers were amazing and so were the entrees. The complimentary dessert with our requested inscription was a perfect end to the evening. Seven Stars!!

Yelp
Thank you to my Yelp Bro Joe P. for always putting in the effort to making my birth months special!! Mayor's Table is located in the Lido House Hotel by Marriott Bonvoy in the Lido Village area. The ambiance and service was really on point, so I can see how travelling guests from the hotel or those who are not particular with their food might like it here. Jose greeted me upon my arrival and he took care of us throughout the night. I think Joe Joe and Jose really hit it off. They were bromo-ing the whole time. I was definitely the third wheel haha. Joe P. brought a fancy bottle of the Chateau Montelena (corkage fee $25) and Jose offered to bring us a decanter for the tannins to breath. Very fancy. After the wine had some time to sit, Jose kept our glasses well refilled throughout the night. When we were reviewing the menu, neither of us were too excited about the menu. When making the reservation, we saw a lovely Octopus leg, but the menu had changed since then. We started off with 8 Designer Oysters ($4/each). So OC right? Even our oysters need to be designer. No knock offs please. These come with champagne mignonette and raspberry pearls. Very fresh and tasty! For our meal, Joe P. had the 18 oz. Prime Bone-In New York Steak ($72) and I had their Wild Catch of the Day ($44) which happened to be a seabass. We also shared a side of their James fries ($18). Joe P. seemed to really enjoy his steak. I had a bite and it was nice but nothing mind blowing. On the other hand my wild catch of the day was less successful. The description below was "ancho chili, fava beans, asparagus, herb salad"... sounds fine. My fish comes out SMEARED with all this random stuff that this beautiful fish really could have been made without. And SKIN DOWN!! Which made the skin soggy and rubbery, which really does this beautiful fish a disservice. To make it worse I sat there spitting out an endless amount of fish bones... Like definitely 20+ fish bones. Good thing I was just with Joe P. and not on some hot date or that would be really awkward spitting up bones the whole time. I liked the fries with the truffle aioli sauce more than I liked my entree. They gave me a dessert menu to look at in which I would have picked the Saffron-Infused Panna Cotta, but they sent me a complimentary Strawberry White Chocolate Brownie ($14 value). It was good but on the sweet side, and not something I would pick for myself. But nevertheless a kind gesture. Jose was so nice and his above and beyond service is the only reason this isn't a 2 or 3 star review. Sorry but even a more affordable California Fish Grill never serves me fish with any bones let alone that many bones. And so dining like the Mayor isn't enough for me... I like to dine like the Queen. I don't intend on coming back.

Les J.

Yelp
Exactly like nothing else. What a lovely, unique experience. Rick and the entire staff treated us soo well from the minute we walked in to the time we left. Rick shared incredible knowledge about the scratch-made seasonal specialties, listened to our preferences and helped us decide to Brunch like a Mayor. We loved the entire experience and enjoyed fresh, unique takes on quite a variety of dishes. We look forward to returning!

Pat C.

Yelp
Rick is an absolute dog!! My friend Matt Helfrich and I had an incredible experience with him and I'd go as far as saying he's the best server I've ever had. And that's saying something!!

John M.

Yelp
Great service and beautifully made food from scratch. Had the Benedict and it was delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

Heidi K.

Yelp
My husband and I frequent this restaurant, and we always have a lovely meal and evening. But last night, we were seated next to two women that the staff were fawning over and were comping their meal. As they were being served they pulled out lights and started filming their food, to the annoyance of all the PAYING customer surrounding them. They shined the light right in my eyes several times, when I asked them to refrain all they said was "well, we are working". Very inconsiderate, and whomever they are posting this for, I guarantee will not make a difference in a businesses bottom line. What ever happened to social graces? It appears social media takes precedence. We were very disappointed with how all this was handled.

Dominick B.

Yelp
We just had dinner and it was 10 out of 10!! It was the best experience from beginning to end! Our server Jordan was amazing! He went above and beyond! To helping us to pick appetizers, main dishes and drink selections! Even the manager came by to check on us! And the whole staff was very attentive to our needs! We highly recommend this restaurant! You will not be disappointed!

Cassandra H.

Yelp
The food was mediocre which is surprising considering that it's not the most affordable restaurant? But service wonderful and I love the decor and ambiance. But food definitely not worth the price.

Jack S.

Yelp
Decent burger, but not worth $32. We visited MT on a Saturday, an early afternoon, and though they were only serving brunch, they agreed to let us order their "Award-winning" burger. It was good, but not $32 good. I could imagine that I might pay $32 for a burger somewhere in LA, somewhere that is actually somewhere, like a legendary space (Polo Lounge, Beverly Hills), or filled with legendary people, or in a legendary location. But not here, in a Hyatt hotel, on the butt-end of Newport Harbor on a busy street corner, no view. Price to quality, I would have given this two stars, but I did add one star for good ambiance, and an excellent server. Two of the runners-up to the Newport Best Burger competition charge about $12 for their very fine burgers, including The Place in CdM and Balboa Island Market/Grill, which is right on the water.

Clint B.

Yelp
Our experience at The Mayor's Table was beyond disappointing. Our family, both from in town and out of town, came together for a nice meal with my 7-year-old niece, who has special needs and specific dietary restrictions requiring her to bring her own food. Instead of showing any understanding, General Manager Quentin Gravet enforced their "no outside food" policy with no flexibility or compassion. When we explained her situation, he suggested putting her in a separate room to eat, which not only felt unaccommodating but also deeply upsetting. This made her feel singled out, scared, and she started to cry. In the end, our entire party of 10 decided to leave and find another restaurant. The lack of being discreet, empathy and unwillingness to accommodate guests with special needs was truly shocking. If you have children or anyone in your group with dietary restrictions, think twice before dining here. We won't be coming back, and I hope management reconsiders their approach to guests with unique needs.

Robyn B.

Yelp
(4.5 ) my friends & i really enjoyed this restaurant. came for sunday brunch and it didn't seem so busy/loud so it was the perfect place to catch up with friends at. we chose to sit outside to enjoy the weather but it looks really nice inside as well. our server was funny and very attentive. food is pretty delicious and price seems fair to me. would for sure come back again!

Angie K.

Yelp
Love This Beautiful Restaurant!! Lovely Ambiance & Beautiful Decor!! I Decided To Visit & Dined For Breakfast!! I Enjoyed The Captain's Breakfast With Cup Of Cappuccino! The Server & Management Were Very Kind & Courteous!! Love The Menu & Desserts Choices!! Love The Beautiful Bar As Well!! I'm Going To Come Back For Brunch & Try Their Dinner Menu Items!! Very Nice Experience!! Looking Forward To Visit The Mayor's Table Again!! ThankU

Nicole P.

Yelp
We had Rick served us yesterday and he was awesome!! The food was really good I think they switched up their menu It's very cute and inviting

Lisa N.

Yelp
Went last night for a night cap. Bar staff were rude about cleaning the bar area we were sitting at. "Would you please wash off the counter,". Response Sr I don't like how you're talking to me! WHAT!! Then I waited and had to ask for a drink and water. And then again for the water that never showed up the first time . They were too busy talking to each other to provide good service. Good place but better be careful with this type of service ! We never had an issue before Sad

Phoebe B.

Yelp
Rick is our favorite server nationwide. His expertise and thoroughness was beyond what words can say. The food was exemplary!!! The desserts sublime. Run don't walk!! We promise we are leading you in the best direction.

Mark S.

Yelp
I had breakfast here every morning during my stay at Lido house. A very nice environment with good staff that were very attentive. I had the house made Greek yogurt every morning with a fresh made berry compote. I thought it was very good and recommended.

J P.

Yelp
Great food and service. Great burger and Waygu flat Iron steak. Doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant. Service was very pleasant.

Odulami B.

Yelp
To stamp a near perfect stay at the Lido, I had the pleasure of catching their signature brunch before departing. The eggs Benedict was the best version I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. My table host was kind, gracious and attentive. 5 star experience!

Shaeda M.

Yelp
Pricey but worth it. Ended up dining twice here once for cocktails and snacks and for breakfast on check out day. Service professional and attentive. Outside seating with a slight breeze is perfect. Only complaint is they need a good Bloody Mary was not worth it as it needed some flavor or something. It had beautiful presentation though.

Chris B.

Yelp
Wife and I had a terrific brunch there. Atmosphere was great - it was as not pretentious but well appointed. Our waiter, Rick, was amazing! I don't think I have met anyone in the past year that loves his job as much as he did. Companies and employees like that are hard to find these days. The service and experience were superb. I wish all my employees were as happy and as good as Rick was. I've got some work to do. Finally, the food was to die for. Everything is made from scratch there. A foodie paradise. We had the lumpcrab eggs Benedict. I forget the name of the Mexican dish with the chicken tinga and the picketed onions, with two poached eggs on top. Excellent taste for both of them. I am going back next Sunday for sure. This is a treasure. Wow! Lastly, some really high end places have great food but not much of it. My wife couldn't finish her meal. I was stuffed with mine so I couldn't help her at all.

Breanna W.

Yelp
The service here was truly amazing. From the moment we sat down our server was personable and accommodating. We showed up on a Sunday and received the brunch menu. We came here because the burger was highly recommended so we kindly asked our server if there was any way we could get the burger even though it wasn't on the brunch menu. The server came back and said yes! Other than that, we did mimosas, we got tea in a kettle, bloody Mary's customized to taste. We came to lunch to catch up with family after 20 years not seeing each other and we stayed an hour past closing, the last ones in the restaurant (so sorry to be those people we didn't notice!) but not once did anyone rush us or tell us they were closed or we needed to leave. Truly this place treats their customers well. Their food is tasty and I highly recommend checking this place out. If you valet, they validate your parking and only have to pay $10.

Yelp
Surprisingly, parking wasn't bad on a Friday night at 7pm near Lido Marina Village. We walked in The Mayor's Table and didn't have any wait for our reservation. The ambiance is casual but classy, with deep sea blue walls and a hint of a nautical theme without going overboard (pun intended). We sat in a super comfy booth and were immediately greeted by our server Selena. She was quick to bring us water and answered questions we had about the menu. We were very intrigued by the "Eat like a mayor" option for $110 per person, but opted to order a la carte instead. I got the Milk Truck Latte Stout to go along with my wagyu burger and fries and Ryan ordered the wagyu flatiron steak with Brussels sprouts. The wait staff was quick to fill our water glasses - I love when we don't have to ask for refills. Our food arrived very fast and was presented well. For the Burger- perfectly cooked medium rare, the bun was soft and fresh and the bacon was delicious. There was an element that was overly salty- not sure if it was the garlic aioli or the umami onions. The seasoned fries were good- could have been a little crispier. The side of their house made ranch was interesting - it had a medicinal or soapy taste to it, which I believe was the Thai basil in it. The steak was also cooked perfectly- the Brussels sprouts were tasty, but on the skimpy side and the blue cheese foam was odd. We ordered dessert as well- toffee buttercake and The Bruce - a 13 layer chocolate cake. The Bruce was overly rich and cold- I prefer cakes at room temperature- it also had pieces of dehydrated ice cream on the top- odd. The buttercake was my least favorite of all we had to eat. The pears were poached in a star anise syrup, which competed with the rosemary ice cream and bourbon toffee. 3 flavors that didn't mesh well. I think the pastry chef is trying a bit too hard to stand out instead of going with classic flavor combinations that work well together. All in all- we would go back but would probably forgo dessert.

Yelp
First and foremost Rick provided amazing service as he mastered the menu, provided insight on the fresh food, and was a great navigator to one of our favorite Newport Beach spot. I love the decor inside, really get the feeling deals get done at the mayors table.

Yelp
Hotel and restaurant are nicely appointed with a yachting esthetic. Friendly staff. Food was not great. Orders were wrong and food was bland. Dined for brunch and was underwhelmed. Potatoes were so overly roasted they were burnt. Wouldn't go back for food. Drinks only.

Yelp
We went for dinner for our first time at Mayor's Table. What an experience that we fell in love with. The atmosphere with the live music was ideal. Our waiter, Jordan, was informative, had answers to all our questions, and had a great personality that was perfect for our table. He made the difference. The food was so amazingly good. Chef Tony came out to check on our food and explained one of the meanings behind one of our dishes. Can't wait to go back again and again.

Yelp
One of the best chilaquiles I have had in SoCal. Tortillas are made fresh. Chicken is shredded and not in chunks. Seasoning is a bit on the spicier yet on the flavorful side (which I thoroughly enjoyed). I would definitely come back for it again but this time enjoy it with a mimosa.

Yelp
We came straight from the airport and had all of our expectations exceeded. Rick was our server. Knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive service. The fresh squeezed juices and high-quality mixers make for happy brunching. The grounds are beautiful and extremely clean. The crab cake Benedict was slightly underwhelming, but still tasty. The chilaquiles were a favorite.

Yelp
We had brunch here. Sat outside (warm heat lamps) and Rick was our server. Loved the service and food. We got the Chilaquiles, SoCal Hash and the Lemon Pistachio Ricotta pancakes. So delicious! Corkage fee was $30. Great place for a brunch date! The only thing is the cocktails are overpriced.

Yelp
We decided to slum it up in Newport.... I'm so happy we found this wonderful restaurant The Mayors Table in the Lido house hotel beautiful property, I felt like I was somewhere on the East Coast perhaps even Martha's Vineyard's... Our waiter, Rico was so gracious with his explanation of all the dishes that we had including the drinks.. he recommended the wild salmon with broken corn risotto and chilies. Also the Hamachi Crudo with strawberries avocado , edible flowers in a white soy vinaigrette, yum! And since we both love mushrooms the spicy Mitaki mushrooms with housemaid hot sauce with a dusting of blue cheese was perfect. I had the Tito's hibiscus cocktail with tiny housemaid peach Boba sitting on top of a vanilla foam... So good, a little bit too sweet, but so good. I mentioned to Rico that I was an elite yelper and he surprised us with a dessert that the chef came up with for us. Two hibiscus shaved ice lollipops and caramel cream ice cream with dried corn and pecans.... Perfect ending as we made our way to Topside upstairs a rooftop bar that is connected to the Lido house.. The staff are all so friendly and very helpful... we both agreed that we would love to come back....

Yelp
Came here on a whim. Had Rick as our server. Perhaps the friendliest and most engaging person we have ever met. Led us in the right directions on food. Got the caviar and French fries, Dungeness crab Benedict and the French toast. Everything was made in house from the bread in the French toast and Benedict to the fruit juices hand pressed. French toast was crispy and soft and sweet. Marscapone cheese and persimmons on the side. So great. The Benedict for me was spectacular. LOADED with crab and avocado. Perfectly cooked poached eggs. Runny yolk. Well spiced. The fries with caviar was an epiphany. So good. Their fries are made in a seven step process incredibly crispy and well seasoned. The star was Rick though. Made you feel like you're visiting a lifelong friend. Outstanding place.
