23 Best Hotels in Dublin, Ireland | Condé Nast Traveler

"Occupying a former docker’s pub and an adjoining 19th-century redbrick timber warehouse on the north bank of the Liffey, this property has been completely reimagined into a multi-venue playground. Rooms come in a range of sizes but share a stylish retro sensibility with brass details, exposed-brick walls, warm wood, and bold color, plus an arsenal of on-trend amenities like Dyson hair dryers, mini Smeg fridges, Marshall speakers, Nespresso machines, and Netflix-ready TVs. Dining and social life stack up vertically: Ryleigh’s, the top-floor steakhouse, serves up spectacular views over the river, Dublin Bay, and Poolbeg Pier, while the Bottle Boy Pub offers the feel of a traditional Dublin boozer, the Green Dolphin Barbers channels an old-school grooming parlour, and the basement Power Gym adds a relaxation pool, steam room, and sauna into the mix." - Ciara McQuillan, Matt Charlton

The Best Hotels in Dublin, From Literary Grande Dames to Design-Forward Gems | Vogue

"Ideal for 3Arena nights, this Docklands hotel spans two 19th‑century waterfront buildings—a townhouse and a warehouse topped with a steel extension—where industrial bones are softened by color, texture, and a living wall climbing an internal courtyard. The 94 rooms orbit strong food‑and‑drink anchors: Ryleigh’s rooftop steakhouse, Elephant & Castle (a ground‑floor nod to the original warehouse), and The Bottle Boy, an 1860‑era grocer turned pub; mornings start at Dime Coffee Bar with a custom blend. Power Gym brings high‑spec changing rooms, serious equipment, a thermal suite, and a relaxation pool overlooking the courtyard; upgrade to a Townhouse or Warehouse Suite to soak in a copper roll‑top tub set right by the bedside." - Liam Hess, Nicole Kliest

The Mayson Dublin | Best places to stay in Dublin

"Set in a former warehouse in the heart of the Dublin Docklands, The Mayson has the best of both worlds – a building filled with charm and character, and a location right on the banks of the River Liffey. The best rooms make the most of those waterside views, with full-length windows flooding the space with light. Even better are the suites, with giant copper bathtubs that stand right in the window, so you can soak as you people-watch. Throughout the hotel, there’s a buzzy, arty vibe, with plenty of the tech crowd from over the river working over coffee or ending the day with a beer on the rooftop bar. This is one of the few city hotels with a pool, too – it may be teeny, but its position overlooking the inner, plant-filled courtyard gives it a cool Moroccan vibe. " - Nicola Brady

Stunning venue for our staff Christmas party. It’s a really unique boutique hotel with a beautiful layout - perfect for an event like this. The staff were excellent. The waiters were very efficient with food service, and the bar staff were friendly. I had the non-alcoholic options, and they were actually very nice with plenty of choice. The room layout was lovely and the whole place has a great style. The smoking area is very nice but definitely on the small side, so it gets a bit crowded. Overall, a fantastic spot for a function with okay food and great service.

I stayed at Mayson for a gig at the 3 Arena and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The location is ideal, right on the quays, so it was easy to get around and enjoy the evening. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Loved the little details that make a stay feel special, especially the shower. The shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing and left my hair feeling soft and fresh. Made the whole night feel even more enjoyable knowing I’d have a nice, relaxing room to come back to!

We’ve stayed here twice in the last 6 months and received amazing service both times. The first was to celebrate an anniversary which Benni kindly upgraded our room for the night (Thank you!). The second time we booked a stayed in the smallest room not realising just how small it was. Both rooms were very well kept and really clean. The smaller room I would only recommend booking if you are staying for just one night as it is quite a tight squeeze with no storage at all. We’ve had breakfast and dinner while staying in the hotel. I can honestly say that the steak is the best I’ve had in Dublin. There are not many choices for breakfast but nevertheless the quality was excellent. 10/10 would recommend to anybody. We can’t wait for our next stay!

The high ceiling and superbly scented lobby invites you to enjoy luxury. As you wait to check in the river calmly flows by and sun bursts through the vaulted windows encouraging you to relax. The temperature of the lobby and building is just right and high quality furniture leaves a strong impression. Staff etiquette is mostly to a good standard. There is a choice of two restaurants for food. First, Elephant and Castle, seductively lit in a burnt orange colour. It is a bar/ casual dinning restaurant with a nicely finished art deco industrial cross design. This bar becomes lively at night with hotel guests and passers by. Second, you’ll find Rayleighs roof top grill. On the terrace there are excellent views of the water. The food at Rayleighs really stood out, all meals we ate had a well balanced flavour profile and cooked just right. Onto the room, we stayed in the O’Connor room which had a “timeless style” feel to it and is super cosy. The beds are comfortable and the rain drop shower head is a nice feature. The gym is to a high spec along with the suna and hydro pool, it is worth noting the gym gets busy and the hydro pool/ Suna is over looked by gym floor so might not be a fully relaxing experience. Finally, access to a pub next door is a fun quirk along with a nice coffee shop located in the lobby. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at and would highly recommend for Dublin

We hosted our wedding reception at the Mayson Hotel in July of this year and couldn’t recommend it enough! Jenny and all the staff were so extremely helpful and welcoming during the planning and the day of. The hotel is stunning, the Bottleboy and Timberyard are both great spaces for hosting events and rooms are beautiful - especially the suites! Being located right in the city centre made it easy for guests to travel to and from regardless of where they travelled from with taxis passing by right outside and Luas and bus a short walk away.

We booked The Mayson to stay for 3 nights, as we were seeing My Bloody Valentine play at the 3Arena. We booked it as it’s max a 5 minute walk from the arena! That was great. Otherwise we had a few issues so I’m writing this review for people to bare these in mind: We’re a couple in our 20s, so booked the Warehouse Cosy room knowing it was tiny. It was veryyy small, so pack lightly as there’s no wardrobe/not much room to leave our suitcase open. Check in was easy though, the facilities were nice. However I really struggled to sleep. Every morning, even on a Saturday, I was woken up by the building work happening next door at 7am or earlier. I’m a heavy sleeper too so I was surprised by this! Getting into the city without a car is tricky from The Mayson. We didn’t realise we needed a Leap pass to get the buses (so make sure to sort that out or take out some coins to pay). The hotel is very much in the “financial district” (bit like Canary Wharf in london), hence the crazy building work happening on the skyscraper next door. Reception luckily had earplugs for us to use (so seems like they get that complaint a lot 😬). Our room generally wasn’t very sound proof - we were right near the entrance to our floor, so could hear people going in and out and shutting the door right outside our door. If I was staying here for any longer than 3 nights I would’ve asked to move rooms facing away from the construction site. Or would’ve looked into other options if I’d known there was so much building work happening nearby. Otherwise we had a good time and were very snug!

Modern hotel with its own quirks. Room was on the small side, but nothing egregious. Would have liked a hair dryer in the room like some other reviews mentioned. Staff were helpful and pleasant, including helping me with some breakfast particularly early. Stayed here as it was easy on/off from the M50 for a night before flying out and I could avoid the hotels near the airport. Found street parking which was free until 7am.

Lovely welcome after a very delayed flight (14hrs!) and it was so appreciated to be able to check in early. Nice public areas, corridors are pretty spectacular. As for the room, it was very small, the bed is up against a floor to ceiling window, certainly adds to the adventure when getting out that side though nowhere to put drinks down. No real space for luggage or to properly hang anything up. Dyson hairdryer was missing a concentrator nozzle and seemed to be a little worse for wear. Shower room was nice, non-scented products all good quality. The outdoor jacuzzi pool was a highlight, even in November but then we had it to ourselves. Dinner was uncomfortable - I'll write a review on the Elephant & Castle separately. Breakfast was a let down. We arrived to be told that there were no tables and it wasn't possible to book. We left and came back 20 mins later, then waited 10 mins for a table, only for a couple behind us to be seated before us.. doesn't make you feel very special, just invisible. Then we were sat outside on a rooftop at the end of November... the wind caused one of the shutters to bang constantly and it was baltic. Other guests were offered blankets while we were ignored. My partner's coffee took over 20 mins to arrive, and when breakfast eventually arrived, we had to leave within 5 mins so I stuffed in as much as I could handle and left. It wasn't exactly screaming any form of luxury and for the price it should be. Welcome on arrival, the public spaces and the jacuzzi score most of the 3 stars awarded here.

Yelp
The hotel is super cute in a gentrified area that's not too far from things (or at least for us bc we took uber everywhere). The rooms are TINY. No matter whatever they say about feet. It's legit a bed and a wall with a tv and a bathroom. No room for luggage whatsoever. They also weren't able to accommodate early check in, and weren't even on time for our check in.. due to this we went to their rooftop restaurant bc everything else was close in the hotel. We came upstairs during the transition from breakfast to lunch and had to wait a little bit to be Sat or taken care of even though the place was absolutely empty. I ordered a French onion soon that was a lot more broth than anything else (nothing like a traditional onion soup), my bf ordered the burger with fries and he really liked it. It's a bit overpriced but it's also at the top of a hotel so it makes sense, our room wasn't ready and we didn't want to wonder too far after having traveled so we just ate there. All in all. I wouldn't stay there again but it wasn't a terrible hotel.

Yelp
Dined at Ryleigh's Steakhouse rooftop restaurant at the Mayson hotel. The food was spectacular all around and the service was friendly. The menu had well labeled allergens. The honeycomb ice cream sundae was a bit too sweet with the caramel sauce and there wasn't as much of view from the restaurant as the terrace bar had more direct views of the river.

Yelp
I dined at Ryleigh's Steakhouse located in the Mayson hotel in Dublin, Ireland, and hands down, it was probably the best steak I have ever had in my life. It was my first time trying a tomahawk steak, and it was absolutely incredible. Cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The service was also excellent. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. The view was not the greatest since there is a huge skyscraper under construction right next to the restaurant. However, if you are seated in another section, the ambiance is really nice. I also ordered the buttered greens, not knowing exactly what to expect. They turned out to be a mix of snap peas, green beans, and broccoli sautéed with butter, salt, and pepper. Simple and absolutely perfect. The fries were also a hit. Perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Overall, if you are in Dublin, you have to try this place. It was without a doubt the best meal I have had in Dublin, and I have been there quite a few times.

Yelp
This review for Ryleigh's. While I'm sure the hotel is just fine, we didn't stay there, just ate at the rooftop restaurant. Delicious. The service was great and the food was impressive. Started with the bread; which I highly recommend though we had to order it separately. The wife ordered the chicken supreme and was quite pleased. Wonderfully prepared, served on a bed of mashed potatoes with mushrooms. I had the filet which was delicious and I added the creamy spinach as a side which was excellent. Not too overpowering with the creamy aspect, could really get the flavor of the spinach. Daughter for the sirloin with fired mushroom (a must!) with a side of the mashed potatoes and was quite pleased. For drinks we had the Remedy and the wife and daughter each for amaretto sours while I had some Buffalo Trace on the rocks. The view is great but be sure to get a spot in the section that had a clear view. The side view is now obscured by new construction. Highly recommend this place. Desserts were gre

Yelp
WONDERFUL stay at The Mayson on our visit in Dublin. Staff is exceptionally friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The Dyson hairdryer was a fantastic amenity. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Larry ..

Yelp
Restaurant is nice and food is good. Limited menu selection. The rooms are way to small. Barely room to walk around the bed. No place to put your luggage? No hooks in the bathroom for towels or clothes. The bathroom door is a sliding pocket door and we could barely get it to slide. Judging from sound coming from the room next door, they were having the same problem. Go to eat but don't stay the night. You would be better off going to the Hilton down the street.

Yelp
I had a very nice stay at the Mayson. The view of the river is pretty! The bed is very comfy. There are 2 restaurants and a pub inside to choose from. I tried both Elephant and Castle & Ryleighs, and can genuinely say both had good food and drinks and the employees made great suggestions: It is a bit far from city center, so bring comfy shoes if you plan to walk. The rooms were nice. Check in was easy. However, a few things: they were not forthcoming with a deposit for the mini bar (not that I care, just would have liked a heads up). They offer a room with breakfast, but unfortunately I was unable to grab breakfast any of the days I was here because it didn't start til after I had left each day - it would have been nice to see the time on their website upon purchase. I had selected early check in when booking I confirmed this on my initial reservation email. A couple weeks before my trip, I got an email telling me to upgrade my stay with early check in. I emailed the hotel who said I did not have that and they set it up. However I got another upgrade email a couple days before and it was not checked - I checked it myself and when I got there I was able to check in early, so not really an inconvenience, just weird. I would also note, growing up in a big city, I didn't think the outside sounds were bad, especially considering it's away from the hustle of the city center, however you can hear some outside noises or the people upstairs.
