Coronavirus Could Devastate America’s Irish Bars Over St. Patrick’s Day | Eater

"A Times Square Irish bar that is part of a six-bar hospitality group, it depends heavily on St. Patrick’s week—typically bringing in the equivalent of two to three months’ revenue. When the city postponed festivities, management rapidly cut staff hours and canceled live music, and the owner described the financial hit as comparable to “canceling Christmas.”" - Brenna Houck

Great Vibes, Delicious Food & Exceptional Service I had a fantastic night at this place!, a spot that truly delivers on every front. Whether you're coming for the drinks, the food, or the atmosphere, this place hits all the right notes. But what really made the night stand out was the incredible service especially from Alan, the manager. He was warm, welcoming, and on top of everything. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests having a great experience. His attention to detail and hospitality made the night feel personal and polished.

The best J1 bar – in the Heart of NYC! The Mean Fiddler is hands down the best Irish bar in New York — no messing. I’ve done three J1s in the city, and this place was always the go to. The tunes, the atmosphere , the crowd were always great. Landed a job here on my last J1 and honestly, I was absolutely buzzing. The staff are super friendly, (proper legends) and the atmosphere is always hopping. Whether you’re just in for a pint, some grub, or a mad one, the vibes are always 90 and your always bound to have a good night. The food is 10/10 , the drinks are spot on, and the whole place just has that deadly Irish buzz. If you’re over in New York, you have to call in. Couldn’t recommend it more. Don’t walk …. RUN to the fiddler.

I had seen lots of reviews online about The Mean Fiddler, so we decided to finally check it out today. We went during the day, and it was pretty quiet and relaxed which I actually enjoyed. I imagine the place gets livelier at night, especially since it seems more of a night spot, but the daytime vibe was very chill. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. The drinks were really good though I did feel like they weren’t very strong in terms of alcohol content. Still, they were well made and tasted great. I also ordered a burrito bowl, and the food was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, and I think it would be a great spot to go back to in the evening for a livelier vibe. Since today was a Sunday, I expected it to be a bit busier, but it was very calm. All in all, I had a great experience!!!

Came by The Mean Fiddler to visit my friend Lisa who works here—she recommended it, and we’re glad she did. We stopped in for a few drinks after a Broadway show and the place was absolutely buzzing. Great crowd (lots of Irish!), good music, fun energy. Ended up staying longer than planned and even grabbed a t-shirt on the way out and a packet of tayto…good spot for a fun night out.

Google
The bottomless drinks were 10/10 and so worth doing. Their cocktails were decorated amazingly and also tasted amazing. Their sign “the fiddler made me do it” lives up to the name because we stayed the whole night, the workers were on the bar giving out free shots! It was such a fun night out with the girls! Deffo recommend going!!

Such a fun and lively spot in the heart of Midtown! The vibes were amazing — great music, friendly staff, and the energy of the place was contagious. The food and drinks were on point, and everything came out fast and fresh. Perfect place for a night out with friends or pre-theater drinks. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

This was such a fun place! The food was solid, drinks were tasty, and the vibes were great. A solid selection of music, and our bartender Pauly(I believe this is his name), was awesome! We felt very welcomed and were able to talk with some staff members who knew our old friend Joe who used to work their. All around a good place to stop in!

Yelp
I came here once to just have a couple of beers and ended up having shots with a leprechaun I love the party vibe so much I came back to try their foods, I will say my favorite BY FAR was the Buffalo Mac and Cheese, and their rainbow cake! My waitress was so nice and helped me decide on which foods to get, I will be back for sure.

Yelp
Currently, they're hosting a fun Beetlejuice-themed brunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The atmosphere is perfectly on theme, from the cocktails to the decorations and bartenders dressed in the pin strip jackets. This review focuses on the cocktails since we were in town for the theater and only had time for one drink. The Beetlejuice cocktail was a vibrant, twist on a piña colada--it was green, with a sweet black-rimmed glass, topped with whipped cream and some playful spooky paper toothpicks. We sat comfortably at the bar while my husband watched one of the TVs showing the football game. The wings looked amazing, although we didn't get a chance to try them. The bartender was friendly, and everyone around us seemed to be having a great time. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
The beetlejuice brunch was a great time - the decor for Halloween is so much fun .. the buffalo chicken flatbread was tasty buy I would definitely recommend the nachos with steak - so delicious!

Yelp
The food ambiance and service was great. We went to see the beetle juice there they had we expected more but we enjoyed the music and ambiance.

Yelp
Stopped in and right away noticed the fun atmosphere! The DJ was playing some great music, totally different from the other bars in the area. There were lots of big parties and lots of celebrations. They make a big deal about celebrations! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. Didn't get a chance to order food but it looked good. Fun place to hang with friends and more for the younger crowd.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was decent I had a buffalo chicken Mac and cheese which was filling. The blue cheese dip on the side just added to its tastiness! The drinks were pretty okay as well. 4/5 Service was great our waitress was attentive and made recommendations since I was so indecisive 5/5 Ambiance was great. The place was very nicely decorated for Valentine's Day. The music was also very good. 5/5 I would come back for the vibes!

Yelp
I wish we would've come during the day because I imagine the food is better before it turns to the night scene. We orders the Big Mac Quesadilla and Curry fries. Both were, meh. Very unique menu items, but the quality was nothing to write home about. I was really hopeful about the curry fries; I don't know what I expected. Frozen steak fries you'd be able to find at really any bar with curry drenched on top. Props to the bartenders though!! The place was jammed when we were there and no wait on drinks. Also a great bar scene with great music; busy but pretty easy to move around because of how open the space was. Would definitely be willing to give them another shot; cheers!

Yelp
Better late than never, right? Came in in February with a friend for an early Valentine's Day Brunch, for unlimited drinks and some good eats. This spot came up on IG for us both, and wanted to check it out. We enjoyed ourselves the $30 brunch special, where it's $30 per person, for unlimited drinks, and it also came with one shot. The restaurant was filled with groups of girls enjoying themselves, definitely filled more on the younger side. Food was pretty good, almost even too good (couldn't stop eating it, and then felt bloated leaving, but worth it). Tried all the different drinks options that were available for the unlimited deal, and definitely can tell they were all watered down (not that I blame the restaurant, decreases the risk of clean up, for people who overdo the drinking during brunch). Regardless, the glass was never empty, both water wise and drink wise. There was never just one waitress taking care of us, it rotated between all the servers there were there; I'm guessing that if they could check on a table, they did. Will probably stop in on Saturday, before I go for my broadway show, to see how decorate it is for St. Patrick's day.

Yelp
A fun pub tucked right into the heart of Times Square -- stopped by before seeing Book of Mormon for a quick drink and snack! They were able to get things out fairly quickly since we had a hard stop before walking over to the theater, which was close by. We were able to get seated right away on a weekday afternoon, but the bar was still busy. They had all the classic bar foods and we snagged some Mozzarella Sticks and Buffalo Cauliflower -- the cauliflower was SO crispy and the dipping sauces for both were delicious. They had High Noons, including all of my favorite flavors! The waiters were attentive and helpful, would recommend if in the area!

Yelp
My sister suggested this spot as the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit with some good food and Grinch-themed bottomless drinks for $25. It was the perfect night thanks to the waitress who kept the drinks flowing for the next 1.5 hours. I ordered the Roadhouse burger with fries, which was superb due to its mix of barbecue sauce, maple bacon, and white cheddar. The fries were good enough to eat but I ended up stealing my sister's fries since they tasted so much better with truffle. This felt like the perfect Christmas bar because the Grinch decorations and music got you into the holiday spirit. I was sit-dancing throughout the whole night because of the wonderful 90s music they kept on playing. It also didn't hurt that the drinks kept coming in and I think they were all so good but my favorites were the Strawberry margaritas and Grinch shot. We had the rainbow cake for dessert, which was presented us with a huge sparkling candle even though it was nobody's birthday. We felt so special and enjoyed the cake tremendously. The other wonderful thing about Mean Fiddler is that it sets the party vibe. We ended up befriending the people sitting in the table next to us who were also having bottomless drinks and telling each other which drinks to get next. It was a blast and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time!

Yelp
The Mean Fiddler is definitely a fun and festive atmosphere, and the service here is awesome. The highlight of the bar was absolutely the kind bartenders and servers who were attentive to almost anything we needed. One tiny pet peeve I had was we asked for water multiple times and didn't get any refills, but as it was a busy night we didn't mind too much and understood how hectic it could be. The holiday theme and drinks, while fun, were definitely gimmicky and not what they advertise. My friend and I opted for bottomless dinner and while the deal was good, we expected the drinks to have a little more holiday flair (they didn't give us the Grinch decorations after the first drink) for the price and advertisements online. The food was also pretty overpriced, at over $20 each for what we ordered. I would recommend checking this place out once if you want to do something a little festive or want a bar environment, but I do think this is a little more touristy than my usual vibe.

Yelp
What a cute bar to come to during the holiday season with my parents! It is super festive and lively. We came here last night and thank god we made a reservation through resy as it was packed! The servers were nice and the service was quick! To drink, my dad got a Heineken, my mom got the white Christmas and I got Santa's little helper. We shared a steak quesadilla, chicken nachos and fries. Everything was delicious! The nachos had a good amount of chicken and guacamole. The steak quesadilla was cheesy and meaty. The fries were hot and crispy. We would definitely come back! See you soon.

Yelp
Warning: If you see the grinchmas drinks of social media: the reality isn't even close to what they're promoting and even the free shot didn't come in a proper shot glass it came in a small plastic cup. The staff is a little snarky about getting seated without reservations and you have to be a little persistent especially because there were definitely a few open tables when I walked in around 8pm on a Friday. We did the grinchmas bottomless, and the food was decent the drinks were a little underwhelming. Definitely not as cute as they were advertised and actually their non Christmas drink- passion fruit marg was the best one that was offered. Music was fantastic though and was the perfect way to start the night.

Yelp
Mean Fiddler, you got that last star from me! After my first visit I knew I wanted to return but sadly there were no open reservations for the day/time I was seeking. But after a mediocre experience at another restaurant, I recommended for my group to come here for drinks. We arrived on the last Friday of 2023 right around 630 pm. They have security checking IDs at the entrance and upon walking in, we saw all seating areas were full and the bar was full except for two chairs with an area to stand. We took that space and were vibing the rest of the time! The bartenders were awesome, full of energy and the music was on point again; a mix of 80s, 90s, 2000s and current music. We started with the green tea shots and went on to get the swirly frozen margs, passion fruit frozen margs, and Mango margs. The drinks were $12 each and more than twice the size of the bottomless drinks. We did another round of green tea shots after dancing away to basically every song they played. The last round of shots were on the house. We walked out feeling good, the way a visit to any bar or eating establishment should leave you feeling!

Yelp
It's alright. I could see this place being a spot for watching a game, or if you happen to be in the area for the show or Port Authority, etc. If you're asking yourself if this place is overhyped on social media, the answer is resounding yes, but overall had a decent time with friends. I came here with some friends for the holiday bar and the bottomless brunch - $25 with an entree (additional cost/mandatory and the whole table must participate). Entrees that we got averaged around ~$20. A bit on the pricier side for bar food, but to be expected in the Times Square area. Ambience: Kitschy, but cute and nicely decorated for Christmas. That is one of the nice aspects about this bar when visiting in November/December. Drinks: I got the apple cider marg, which was good! Not a stand out drink as it tasted just like a regular apple cider, but good. Grinch shot/grinch margaritas weren't really my vibe - they both tasted like a strong liqueur with lots of sugar, and not in a pleasant way. The staff was kind enough to swap out for the Santa margarita, which had some coconut-flavoring. I found that to be the best holiday-themed drink. Food: - the lettuce chicken teriyaki wraps, the nachos, and the buffalo chicken sliders were very good. Nothing standout worth going out of your way of. Just good ol' standard bar food that I would happily eat if I were in the area. - I would pass on the Margherita flatbread . It's a lot of cheese with a couple tomatoes and a drizzled pesto sauce. - Bit of a minor thing, but I noted some of the plates weren't totally clean so that was bit-off putting. Service: Service was very good and is most of the reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Staff members were cognizant of when we were done with drinks and food, and when we wanted to place our new orders. Overall, I don't think this place was for me, and I'm not sure I'd come out of my way to come here, but wouldn't mind dropping in for a drink if I'm in the area with friends.

Yelp
One of my favorite city spots! Located close to Times Square. I visited with a group of friends for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was great, the drinks were great, the service was great and the DJ was surprisingly great as well! There is a bottomless drinks special with the purchase of an entree, which is a great deal. The drinks range in strength, but there is a variety to choose from and very aesthetically pleasing as well. They also serve a free round of shots for any celebration. I have seen online that they decorate different themes throughout the year. I definitely plan to go back!

Yelp
Came here with my boyfriend for Saturday brunch, eventhough it was a galentine's Mean Girls theme. It was hard to access the menu, because I left my phone in my car. The bottomless drinks are a bit misleading, as it's selected drinks only and not the ones advertised on the social media when they mention bottomless. My stomach started to hurt, and that only happens with the bottom of bottom shelf. If there would be a next time, maybe it would be better for me to select the pretty drinks I desire and opt out of the restricted bottomless. The Mac and cheese isn't cheesy, it has no pull; maybe I ordered the wrong one, I couldn't access the menu properly. The honey sriracha wings were good, fresh, and juicy. The chicken burger with coleslaw was amazing. The server was very quick and attentive, making sure we had drinks at all times. I recommend taking an Uber or train because parking can be crazy around Times Square.

Yelp
This place is now my favorite spot of all time. They had me at "Bottomless dinner" when I say I had never... SEEN a drink menu like theirs. I couldn't say no. the server was AMAZING, such a doll. Plus the ambiance, Stunning. The vibe just makes you want to get up and dance! You'll definitely have a high chance of meeting at this place any time of the week Happy times

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks! I loved the spicy dragon cocktail and the smashed grilled cheese. The mozzarella sticks were good too. My friend got the portobello mushroom burger which she said was good, not great. She really liked the porn star martini. The staff is nice and it was easy to make a reservation on resy.
google avatar

Yelp
Not certain I want call it an Irish Pub, but a great place for a Guinness with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service and an extensive food menu.
google avatar

Shanta K.

Yelp
Customer service was super good, we were late for our reservation but the hostess said she would still get us a table which was amazing because they are always fully booked during gridlock season. I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and my guest had the cheeseburger sliders which were both very well seasoned and delicious. The only thing I would improve on is the unlimited brunch drinks they weren't that good and then when we moved to the bar the same drinks were not available for the unlimited brunch. They were also 2x's more expensive. Overall great music and friendly staff. Just come ready to spend money if you're not getting the unlimited deal. We arrived around 4 and the grinch didn't come out anymore for the evening so if you want to see him come earlier

Yelp
This bar provided such a great time! The ambiance was fantastic, and the servers were incredibly friendly. Tara H stood out as the highlight of the experience she was so kind! The nachos were my favorite! They were so delicious

Yelp
I had a good time here at the mean fiddler. It's located on 47 Street in midtown between 7th and 8th Ave. Came here with my lady for a galentines Day celebration, and it was loud in here. The dj was playing the tunes, and a lot of singing and dancing was going. We did the bottomless brunch and had the penne mac and cheese the triple fried chicken and chicken wings. I wasn't much of the penne mac and cheese, but it wasn't bad at all. I just preferred traditional mac and cheese. The service was alright, considering it was very busy and very loud. The drinks were OK, nothing I would brag about personally. That's just my opinion, tho. Overall, I would come back and try some more food and fancy drinks from the menu.

Yelp
If you are going for dinner, make sure you have a reservation! They were definitely busy. We had a slight wait time, so we stood by the bar until the table was ready. The hist was nice and brought us a free shot. Once we sat, we put in our order pretty fast. They offer $30 bottomless drinks with the purchase of an entree. We ordered the Thai chicken wraps and fish tacos. The 1st drink came out, and then we were politely asked if we could move to another table. There was a party of 6 so they needed to move our table of two for them. Not a problem. Again, the same host helped move our drinks and gave us another free shot. The food came out fast, and it was delicious. For the Thai chicken, you are provided a sauce, and you can pour as little or as much as you'd like. Once the 90 minutes were up, we were asked to clear the table to get it ready for the next reservation.

Yelp
Food was pretty good but maybe it was because I was extremely hungry that day lol. My friend and I shared the M&M pancakes and the French fry nachos. We also had popsicle proseccos. They were very delicious. They also had Taylor Swift playing in the background, and I'm all about that. However, the service wasn't all that great. Our waitress had forgotten to mention the specifics of a bottomless brunch deal and we ended up paying more than we expected to. Nonetheless the bartender/manager came up to us and offered us free shots to make up for it. The ambiance was pretty good; the inside had a lot of pics of people getting together, a bunch of celebrities and bands and upcoming events. I felt the Irish authenticity of the place.

Yelp
Great guac and chips. Salsa verde was spicy and savory. Guacamole was fresh. Portions were noiceee. Drinks were cuteeeee. DJ need some guidance, music choice transition were mid. Bathroom ceiling was cute! Good stalls.

Yelp
After much anticipation, finally made it to the grinch brunch! Please make a reservation for any promotional event like this. I originally tried to get in back in December but they were fully booked and didn't take walk ins but we made it! The food was pretty good, nothing too crazy, the drinks were top notch! That grinch Mimosa was a sneaky one I hope now that the grinch brunch is ending this weekend they will keep that it! I really love it it was kind of an apple ish mimosa. The server was very sweet and attentive. Oh if you check in on Yelp when you get there, they gave us free green tea shot it was a nice time overall

Yelp
I've been seeing the mean fiddler all over instagram and wanted to give them a try especially since they have 30 dollars unlimited drinks 7 days a week. Love that for me and everyone else who loves bottomless. For appetizers We ordered the nacho fries and I must say first time having it won't be the last. It was soooo cheesy just how I like it topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream was definitely a 10/10. I had the steak quesadilla the steak was very bland but the sauce it came with was good so it wasn't as bad but I still wish the steak was seasoned a bit. My friend ordered the burrito bowl with chicken she didn't like it said the chicken was bland as well some chefs think they can cover up taste with sauce people who know good food know the difference between food that's actually seasoned and food that cooked with no seasoning but is drowned in sauce doesn't taste good. The drinks were 10/10 I love the fact we had options to choose from and it wasn't just mimosas, and it came with free eye ball green tea shots really delicious love it. Met some decently nice people and I had a great time would definitely return again the vibes was cool. The Dj Dexter was also very attentive and played good music we loved his energy and how down to earth he is. Overall I would definitely come back for the vibes good music and the DJ.

Yelp
Probably the place to go if you're looking for a bar but not some place to eat. We were going to a play, it was convenient and had a lot to offer but wasn't that great. The food pictures on their website definitely look better than what's served. Right when they sit you you're told there is a 90 minute table limit. Part of the house rules you're given. Not an issue for us. We started with the French fry nachos, which were very good!!! My friend got the Big Mac Burger Bowl. She said it was a bit bland. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sliders. Lots of bun, a little bit of chicken. The buns were very dry and by the last slider I was ripping most of the bread off. They were supposed to have blue cheese, shredded carrots, celery and lettuce. There was no blue cheese and barely anything else. Most dishes are around $20 which doesn't seem to make sense. The French fry nachos were not that large of a portion that would make them worth $19. The portion is only fitting for 2 people. Your bill will also be adjusted with a fee if paying by credit card.

Yelp
Looking for a bar that the lights are down low, a great DJ aaannnddd a bar in the middle-- this is the place! Get ready for fun, beautiful drinks and some wacky times! Good service-- tons of people will check in on you! Nachos were tasty, enough for four gals-- wish there were more chips with it. We had tons of gauc left over! My 50 Shades of Pink drink was delicious! Suggestion: for checking in on Yelp app-- you'll get a free round of green tea shots for your table!

Yelp
If you miss Ireland, and you actually know her, you must stop by the Mean Fiddler. Thirteen years of grimacing each time I sip a Guinness. No longer. Come to the Mean Fiddler and have a proper pour of Guinness (in stages, people!) by Ashley from Galway (pop less than 50,000) and you'll have lovely daydreams of your days on the enchanted isle. I will come back here to very time I visit New York.

Yelp
The Instagram pics are def alluring! Those 2x2 flics will have one feigning to get to the next big thing. I am guilty. IG pics brought me here. The website did too, they do a great job advertising this place. I pressed him that we oughta hit this spot up. Now... as for live and in person... The atmosphere- when you walk in, you get dive/ pub feels. Smell of beer from the days of yore, lol! An NYC norm, so I'm not trippin' off of that. Busy setting and decor but there has to be a decent sized crowd to fully appreciate the space. The grub- Gastropub hits, I liked the nacho fusion plate. The guac was even good. I usual toss guac to the side on sight but decided to give this a try and yeah, it was cool. The Fish Tacos- ehhhh, the fish was minced like tuna and I may be a lil concern with what type of fish it was. The shredded cabbage... I struggle w/ this cabbage on tacos thing but I made it thru as the crunchy texture off-set the ?fish? The BBQ Chicken Sammich and Fries- he said it was good The unlimited drinks offer didn't include anything we like, so we got our own mixes. We had one that was 98% juice yet when we got our waitress' attention, she looked out. The staff were friendly, and offered us info on the best days to come. We'll give it another try, hopefully a busier night when the live DJ is on. And we'll hit the speakeasy up.

Yelp
I went with a few friends for their bottomless drinks for dinner. The food came out quick and we were even greeted with lollipops! They had a ton of options for drinks that were included with the bottomless. It was a little hard to get their attention sometimes for drink refills (as you are on a timer) but that isn't a big deal! It was so much fun and the music was perfect for the experience. The inside isn't super lit up but perfect for the vibe.

Yelp
A hidden gem the mean fiddler. Great service and great deals! $25 all you can drink menu with purchase of an entree. We had a great time and the music was diverse. The food was also really good. I had the honey chicken sandwich and cauliflower. I will be back to try something new for sure.

Ok this place is nice and the food is decent and the drinks aren't that bad but my experience was horrible. I went for the bottomless dinner and as I'm ordering the lady tells me ok she has our orders now she just needs a card, we're confused cuz we just sat down so what are we paying for. She proceeds to tell us that we need to put a card down or on a file... like we're in a bar or something. Now I understand this is a pub or whatever but we went for dinner and sat at a table, why the hell do we need a card to be put down? Then, We give her a card cuz I guess that's the policy. At the end of the night when she brings us the check, I ask her where my card is can you believe this lady had the nerve to say " oh I gave it back" I'm looking at her like... no you didn't... cuz I would've had it. She proceeds to tell me she did give it back and ah this point I know this lady didn't give it back so I just let it go and cancel the card but what the hell? Like if you're gonna have a weird policy, then make sure that you're able to safely execute it. Then the next day I get a charge request on my cancelled card for someone trying to run it at their bar so I guess they did find it. The drinks and food was really nice and the service was ok, due to this small inconvenience that ruined my whole night and caused me to be cardless for a week I really won't be back.

Yelp
Came here a couple times while in ny because its a late spot and was near my hotel. The place is pretty consistent nightly. Good music but tons of overly wasted people and sticky floors. The biggest con is the bartender wouldn't accept my Yelp Check-In offer of free Green Tea Shots. I Showed him the offer and he came up with all these rules that werent listed on the offer and said it wasnt accepted. We left the issue alone but it we definitely could tell he had a bad vibe.

Yelp
Fun! Introduced to a new shot (at least to us) - Green Tea Shots! Great atmosphere (even on a Tuesday evening). The staff was awesome and made our visit better than expected. For our group it will be a must stop for any return trips to Time Square (a block or so off Broadway).

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! It was a delightful random discovery that exceeded all expectations. The music is fantastic, creating an incredible vibe where everyone is dancing and just having a great time. I must give a special shoutout to Louisa, the bartender, who made my first night there incredibly welcoming. Her exceptional service and delicious drinks had me returning on Saturday night as well. Do not miss the opportunity to experience this fantastic bar!

Yelp
We had such a blast at this fun Irish bar near Times Square. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Tori, was AMAZING. She was so fun to talk to, provided us recommendations on other places to go, things to try, and made sure to keep our drinks refilled. If you're looking for a spacious, exciting bar with a unique atmosphere, you definitely need to stop in here (and ask if Tori is working)!

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Monday evening for their bottomless cocktails meal. Essentially, for $25 plus the price of the entree, you can order from a variety of options for drinks for 90 minutes. With the price of the cocktails, you would only have to have more than two drinks in order for the deal to be worth it! I got the smashed grilled cheese and my friend got the buffalo chicken flatbread. Of course, my favorite part of the experience was the cocktails. Although they aren't as large or elaborate as the non-bottomless cocktails, they still had unique options and I loved them. The entrees were very filling and I couldn't even finish my chips and guacamole. Overall, I loved the experience and would definitely come back!

Yelp
Great bar and good restaurant- a good place to chat and drink and hang out with folks new to the NYC area.

Yelp
Giving this place a 2.5 out of five. Came here in the summertime for their bottomless brunch deal (party of four). It's much worth it to pay the additional 20for better liquor, instead of the house liquor that is part of the bottomless deal. Overall the food is good/decent but when you do the regular cocktails off menu I feel as though they are subpar. I guess I will have to blame the amateur brunch colors for this. Came a second time with the intention of Inviting three additional friends for drinks. While waiting I had two cocktails at $16 each on an empty stomach and I can do perfect cartwheels down the road and one line. With that being said I told my people to meet me at a different bar nearby. . This bar is best for crowds drinking beer for the dive bar ambience. Or even late night mid barhopping. Can't see myself spending $15-$18 for a drink that's not near well-made

Yelp
I was very excited to go. I thought the decor was pretty cool. I was let down with the beetle juice themed dinner. The drink specials only had to relate to beetle juice because of the names. Honestly I almost wish I didn't do the special because the drinks on the regular menu looked a lot more interesting. It was weird how for the beetle juice special my friend got a drink with nightmare before Christmas characters as decorations. It was strange because we attended because it was supposed to be to be beetle juice themed. The food was not bad. It was extremely loud so probably not a great spot if you want to hear the other person. Honestly I was more excited to go because it looked awesome online but I left sad because I felt deceived. It wasn't horrible but I think if you're going to advertise something for a specific theme it should relate. There were no specials on the food menu that related to the film. I'd say go check it out for yourself but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Yelp
This restaurant would definitely be a fun place to go at night! My husband and I went for lunch and had a pretty good experience! We were greeted with Valentine's shots at our table and our server was nice and helpful. My husband ordered the smash burger grilled cheese and I had the chicken wrap. Overall, food was good but not amazing! We would definitely go back for a drink later in the night.

Yelp
As a New Yorker, you tend to stray as far away from #timessquare as possible but the @themeanfiddler draws me back into the crowds of tourist. The Mean Fiddler is the place to go if you want to have a great time any time of the day. With their bottomless options pretty much all day into the night, any day of the week! It's guaranteed to be great time with the ones around you. The eats are good as well as the menu is endless and definitely be shareable with your party. We definitely recommend the mean fiddler for a great time of eats . .

Yelp
Came for bottomless dinner on a Friday night. You can drink for 90 minutes. The only options were sweet cocktails, which got filling quickly. They let us make any last minute cocktail orders before the time was up. It was a hot night but the AC was good. Servers were attentive. I got the honey bbq chicken sandwich which came with fries. It was a big portion and tasty. Hooks to hang bags would've been good. DJ kept switching genres that would bring up and down the mood.

Yelp
Had time to grab something quick, and this place was across the street from the theater. Walked in, and the place was packed! The only e py tables were actually reserved. There was 1 stool available at the bar, and one of the hostesses found an empty stool and brought it over. That was really nice of her!! She also saw we may have been in a tight spot, so she moved us to a wider area. I was really grateful for her going g out of her way. I did not catch her name, but she was a little and hanging by the entrance. Sat down, and I have to have my Guiness, which Ashley poured immediately. She has such a welcoming smile and both her and Luisa are so nice. I asked Ashley what she would order for a quick bite, and she suggested the crispy fish tacos. She was right on the money! Theu were delish and just the right amount since the show was going to start across the street. I made sure I gave a nice tip, and I promised both Ashley and Luisa I would return because of their hospitality! Great bar!!!

Yelp
Went to the mean fiddler for brunch on saturday! The bottomless brunch price was amazing and a really great deal! The bottomless options includes one specialty cocktail, a shot, and then an assortment of bottomless drink you can choose from! Love that they gave you options instead of just having to stick with a mimosa My friends and I sat at a high top! The only take way from the high tops are that they don't have bag hooks and they have stools instead of tall chairs with backs The food was good and the music was pumping! An all around good time
