Food Trucks and Carts Could Get Their Own Logan Square Lot | Eater Chicago

"The Mega Mall was demolished in 2016 to make room for new development that includes a Target, and its closure displaced a longtime tamale vendor who advocates and planners hope could find new space in the proposed Logan Square food cart park." - Ashok Selvam

Google
I had a super good time looking at all the treasures. We went here for the first time and loved it. There are so many booths to visit with a large selection of items. Old items with newer items as well. The staff are wonderfully helpful. It is a huge area. We will definitely go back. Every third Sunday there are also outdoor vendors with booths in their huge parking lot.

Google
Love it! Great mix of vendors. Some booths are very curated which I enjoy, others are more rummage style. You can find some really affordable gems. Retro/groovy, MCM/mid century modern are my go to's. Many vendors had 20-50% off their booths. You can bargain if your total is $50+ on a particular item or booth. Plus there is a sale room!

Google
We had so much fun looking all throughout the store. There are so many different items to find.

Large selection of jewelry, home decor, Pokémon, books and much more! Several booths with different items and themes . Truly, something for everyone! Friendly staff and consistent hours make this a definite stop when you’re in the Lansing area!!

Google
A place you can spend hours and still not see all the lil treasures people have here. There's truly something for everyone! Been coming here for years but now have a booth here!! Right near the door! Snowglobe glitter & lava cups, handmade jewelry, gifts, games and more! We do custom ordering as well. Scan qr code at booth..Always adding! Check us out & support us on social media.

Google
Huge place and well laid out! The cases in front were convenient to look through many smalls at once. Many of the booths are small and shallow, which makes it easy to poke your head in. There is a larger clothing section in the back that was very cool. Prices were overall okay, pretty standard for an antique mall.

I recently went to the Mega Mall with my fiancé and couldn’t recommend more. Wow do they have a lot, you feel like you can get lost in the store in the best of ways. The owner Rich is both kind and knowledgeable, hey stopped to chat with my fiancé and I for awhile and we enjoyed every minute we were here. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
I liked this store very much. They have many dolls. One of them is very beautiful and rare.

Yelp
Very well run antique mall. A lot of helpful staff, clean, very organized, smd prices with discounts rung up correctly. Would do business with them again.

Yelp
This place really does have something for everyone! Came here for a fun afternoon of browsing, and boy did it deliver. Could easily spend hours here and not even hit every corner. It's a maze of every second hand treasure you could think of. My favorite was looking at all the vintage clothing. So many gorgeous sweaters- even 100% wool. I found the clothing prices to be a bit steep for secondhand, but most were quality materials so I get it. Didn't find anything to purchase this time, but if you like to window shop like me, then this is still the place for you!

Yelp
I really want to give the Mega Mall a better rating There are a few stellar vendors in there for antiques with great style. There are some awesome vendors selling Pokémon cards and collectible items as that is very hot right now. Good on them! Otherwise I find that 85% of the booths are just junk you wouldn't even want for free or at goodwill. :( The staff are AMAZING and very attentive! Nothing on them.

Yelp
We love the Mega Mall. We would make that part of a long day. With The Mega Mall, Williamston, Howell and Holly. I almost always find something there to add to my antique and Hall China collection. Although next time we go I am taking my rolling walker.

Yelp
We enjoy walking through this type of "mall" - part antiques part vintage part other. This place has a great mixture so don't throw a shoe when you see items that are NOT real antiques. The booths are pretty small - you may have to wait your turn to see what's inside. The rows are marked A-Z and each booth starts at # 1. There are NO numbers in the booth. To find where you are, check a price tag. If the tag says "F3" that's the booth you're in. (Something you need to know if you plan to come back and get something). Found a cute stuffed girl bunny with floppy ears and lilac coveralls for $2 and a Winterberry Candy dish for $8. Nice place ( we spent 3 hours there). Took off a star because it does feel pretty small and tight inside.

Yelp
A lot of overpriced junk. Yes, it is VERY large so you have a large choice. People are nice.

Yelp
Probably the best antique mall I have ever been to. You will need at least two hours or more to get through and scrounge through every vendor's stall. The rows are by alphabet so you can remember where you left off, or tell the front desk people if you need to see something in a locked cabinet. One other reviewwer mentioned this is more like a flea market rather than an antique mall. He is partly right; some of the stuff vendors are selling is like garage sale stuff. I bought a pack of cute unopened Christmas cards for fifty cents. Some of the some is 70's era memorabilia like kitchenware juice containers and glasses. I got a really cut set of four juice glasses with daisies and the McDonalds M on them for a gift for a friend. They were under $5 - after the vendor discount. Then ther are true antiques here. All sorts of stuff big and small. During my visit just before Christmas, many vendors had 5 off sales on their entire booth. The savings ranged from 10-80% off! I got a pair of Hankscraft egg cups marked $10.00 for just $2.00! These savings are already in the system at the register, but you may want to make a mental note just in case. I walked away with many cool items and spent just under$15.00. Merry Christmas to me and a few select lucky friends.

Yelp
Do try to make this a frequent stop when you are in or around the Lansing area. Such an eclectic mix of vintage, antiques, bargains and oddities that you will never feel like you wasted your time visiting the Mega Mall. Speaking of time, if you want to make the goal perusing every aisle carve out at least 2 hours. In talking to the friendly staff, it sounds like there are over 400 vendors and everyone there tries to be helpful and kind. The building appears to be in need of some refurbishing but that was about the only suggestion I could make for something to work on. My partner is a WW2 collector and found some rare books and I enjoyed discovering some furniture project pieces (under $20!) On the far outskirts of Lansing but well worth the time we devoted to search their aisles, booths and showcases. After repeat visits, we have made a point of making this a fun activity aka date night on their late hours Thursday (open till 8 pm.)

Yelp
This place is kind of half antique mall and half flea market. Definitely not a lot of higher end furniture here. Most items are small. The place was pretty packed with booths and people. Had to wait in line for quite a while to check out as the cashier was wrapping and packing several dishes for a customer. I did pick up a sparty sign for my workshop. Overall good experience but very different from the antique malls in Grand Rapids.

Yelp
Kind of depressing and sad. Mostly junk from grammas basement and estate sale schlepping. I saw very little in terma of items of interest or value. If dorky kitch and cheap salt and pepper sets are your thing you might like this place. I did see some antique signage that was aight

Yelp
A great place to find things remembered! The mall is huge so you'll need a couple of hours if you want to get through it all. Luckily the aisles are marked alphabetically so you can remember where you left off. They also have a great outdoor flea market once a month except in winter months for the obvious reason. Highly recommend checking this place out. There's something for everyone here.

Yelp
While I'm not really in the market for antique plates, there are a lot of things here that are neat to look at. I found a bunch of old (1950s) books that I've been looking for and got them at a decent price. The employees were amazing, as after they saw that I had a pile of stuff in my arms, they took it all up front for me and gave me a slip so I could give more stuff to employees to take up front for me. They were extremely nice and the owner was as well.

Yelp
I love the Antiques Mega Mall! It's close to my home, so when I have guests it's something fun that they can spend an independent afternoon enjoying. Truly something for everyone there! And the staff is always friendly and helpful and willing to go on a search with you to find the perfect gift, the perfect collectible, the perfect something-or-other. Kid-friendly too. ...it's huge, expect to take your time.

Marie M.

Yelp
This place has everything from useless junk to antiques, crafts and furniture and lots of books. Well worth the visit, something for everyone at every price point. If I lived closer I would be a frequent shopper. It isn't a true antique store, although there are some good finds At prices much lower than those pricey antique stores.

Yelp
This antique mall has had its highs and lows...its back to low again. The overall quality of its vendors has slipped..though there are a few good ones still there. Just too much yard sale level booths. Antique malls are only as good as the management that keeps the vendors up to par.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Nice place for taking a walk and looking at some cool items. Most everything in the place is overpriced that what you see everywhere else. Mason locations are better.

Yelp
Large, interesting, variety - from new to antique items - reasonable prices. Snack bar, helpful and knowledgable staff, clean and well lighted. Only complaint is that they open at 11 am - so check their hours before you make the drive.

Julie W.

Yelp
Good news: I usually find something here ( an item or two, but not a lot), and at a good price. Could-be-better news: this mall has a LOT of modern junk/giftware, garage-sale-level stuff, etc., whereas I prefer places that are all or almost all antiques and vintage items. A bit flea market-ish. Dealers in glass cases in front area of mall seem to have high prices for what I see on the current market. I find better deals throughout the mall in various booths. My favorite vendor here is near the very back of the mall - carries some nice antiques at reasonable prices, so that's a destination booth for me.

Yelp
I enjoy going here once a month. Sure, there is a lot of over-priced garbage, but there are some really cool items mixed in. My only complaint is that the people who work the registers seem to be selected by how unsmiling and irritated-seeming they are. Getting one to smile even a little bit takes a lot of effort.

Yelp
Good antique mall to hit when you are driving through the area, but I wouldn't make a day trip for it. Lots of junk mixed with good stuff ( which I consider a good mix) so be prepared to REALLY look for what you want!

Judy F.

Yelp
So much fun! You could spend hours in here and never see everything. Sometimes there's SO much stuff in a booth to look at. Great mix of stuff, not all antiques, small things and large, something for everyone. If you don't like something in one booth, you just move on to the next. Great fun to look - don't even need to buy something.

Aimee L.

Yelp
I drove over 1hr 1/2 to this "antique mall" because I heard the selection and prices were great. Well the prices were pretty reasonable on most items but the selection of true antiques were ok. I don't like when antique malls mix craft show items with their booths. VHS is not an antique item. the first 2 glass case aisles were the best. I will say that the staff was very friendly and nice.
