"Sebastien Lagree has a little bit of a cult following in the fitness world–after an early career as a personal trainer, he first became famous for inventing the Megaformer and Proformer, which are used in his licensed fitness studios all over the country. In his West Hollywood studio, you can train with Sebastien himself on his newest invention, the Supra–a futuristic-looking machine that rotates and tilts under the trainer's control, as you work your way through a series of moves that range from squats to lunges to pushups. The workout is only 25 minutes, but it's insanely hard–you burn up to 600 calories per session, and are guaranteed to be sore afterwards."

Elliott’s class was amazing!! Classic Lagree moves mixed with upgraded exercises on their newer megaformer machines. I was able to follow easily and take advancements when I wanted to. Highly recommend this studio- clean, good energy & an amazing workout :)

Google
Megaformer is in a “class” of its own as the best burn per minute workouts I’ve ever had. I’ve heard Lagree Pilates (Megaformer) classified as “regular Pilates plus weight training”, which really hits the mark. It’s slow and controlled, so I’m not worried about injuring myself as I get active again, which is a huge plus. My class tonight with Elliott was a standout, he is a fantastic Instructor and was so inclusive and patient with this girl who isn’t a strong gazelle yet, and definitely needed some modifications. He checked up on how I was doing at the end of the class which was so thoughtful. He’s also hilarious, which helps when you’re seriously pushing your limits. Definitely looking forward to my next class!

Google
This pilates class is fantastic for building serious core strength! The instructors are excellent at guiding you and ensuring proper form, which is so important. The studio boasts top-notch equipment and a cool, unique lighting vibe. My only minor note is that the lighting can feel a little too dim during evening classes. Overall, highly recommend.

Google
I am obsessed with the Megaformer classes at this studio. This pilates class is both challenging and insanely rewarding. Laura is the absolute best instructor who does an incredible job of balancing pushing clients as well as supporting them. I have been both physically and emotionally transformed by this class. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new workout to fall in love with.

Google
I really appreciate that the studio helped check me in so I wouldn’t be charged a $28 cancellation fee on ClassPass. They also mentioned that if I purchased a package, I could switch to any available class. However, my experience that day was frustrating due to communication delays and lack of transparency. I arrived late due to unexpected traffic and was told I could switch to another class. Since there was no front desk staff at the time—only the instructor teaching—I waited for 40 minutes, hoping to join the 10 AM class. When the front desk finally arrived, I was informed that the class was already full, meaning I had waited for nothing. The next available class was at 12 PM, which didn’t work for me due to work commitments. Additionally, when I tried to purchase the package, they didn’t accept Apple Pay or Apple Card, which was not communicated beforehand. If I had received a quicker response or clearer information earlier, I wouldn’t have wasted so much time—50 minutes driving there and 40 minutes waiting. I respect the staff and understand that unexpected situations happen, but better communication and transparency would greatly improve the customer experience.

Google
I love this studio so much! Was on the hunt for an incredible reformer studio in LA - came here and been hooked since! Challenging workout and highly effective.

Google
Amazing classes! I absolutely love this studio and the instructors. I’ve had issues with a sleepy right glute and always struggled to activate it properly, but the instructor was so helpful both during and after class. They really work you SO well—I always leave feeling sore in the best way, which tells me the workout was exactly what I needed. Highly recommend this studio for a challenging and supportive workout!

Google
The classes here are killer and a great intense workout! I love Caitlin's classes -- I was new to the mega machine, and she knows how to explain form/ give adjustments.

Yelp
Where do I begin! The entire experience was five stars from the convenient and complimentary parking structure, to the helpful and friendly staff at check in, to the instructor, to the class itself! It was my first lagree style class and what I thought would be a breeze kicked my butt in the best way. I love a good challenge. However for me, it was the helpful and informative instruction style that made it worthwhile. The instructor Alexia continuously walked around and corrected each student's form a lost teaching style these days. I could literally feel the difference from the subtle corrections. In addition to the hands on approach, I appreciated the encouragement throughout whenever me or others would stop. Oh and the instructor made it a point to know everyone's name. What a nice touch! This place does it right. I'll definitely be back.

Sharon F.

Yelp
This is such a welcoming, friendly studio! The workouts are always different so you get a full body every time. Ty is a great instructor who encourages and talks through class which makes you forget about the pain he's putting you through! There's a ton of classes throughout the day and they have parking available Too. I highly recommend this studio and workout if you want to add to your routine or to just to get in shape! I tried another studio called lagree underground and it was an okay but the owner gives it a toxic vibe.

Yelp
I nooken online through class pass and I didn't know what to expect, especially that was my first time going to pilates ever! I loved it ! Instructor Alfred, was helpful and was giving attention to everyone. Pilates machines were new and clean. It was a pleasure to train there. Planning to go there again. Definitely was great

Maddie O.

Yelp
Love it here! Super energetic and motivating instructors, and the best work out out there!

Candiss W.

Yelp
absolutely love this studio It's such an inclusive space, i'm not new to exercise but i am to lagree and i didn't feel left out. Haylee is an amazing instructor; she has a great playlist and always there to help and correct your form when needed. The entire staff is super friendly, creating a welcoming environment that encourages growth. The instructors are fantastic at motivating you to push yourself to achieve your best. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to to get into lagree in a supportive and uplifting atmosphere
google avatar

Dana R.

Yelp
Lagree is an incredible workout. Hard AF but you have the opportunity to workout with great instructors that motivate and push you. I, of course, have my faves... Journey and Caitlyn plus you get to learn from the creator, the master, Mr. Sebastian Lagree. It's high intensity and challenging from the start. I would 100% suggest to try this studio. Have I said how great Journey is yet?!
google avatar

Charlotte D.

Yelp
Did not like it. Terrible for beginners, very few modifications or rest periods. These are the kinds of classes that make people scared to exercise in a group setting. But I guess it's great for the people that already have abs.
google avatar

Natascha J.

Yelp
Taking a class with Journey...is literally a journey of the body, mind, and soul. She doesn't just care about cute outfits and selfies, she is there for her class...her clients...and their goals. Personally, I needed a lot of core strengthening because I am a lash artist and I sit A LOT. Journey always makes sure my body and spine are in correct alignment. She cares so much about my experience and results, and not only that, but I get that mental break from the outside world, that I am really needing these days. Life has been a little tough lately and I am so grateful I can get some humor and some health, even if just for an hour. I also love that she is everywhere, Santa Monica, West Hollywood...I can workout and get a brunch in with the gals afterwards no matter where I am. I can't wait for Brentwood to open up!

Doris A.

Yelp
Ty and Sebastian are the best instructors! The classes are intense and very challenging! I become more toned and lean thanks to their expertise and great classes! I always have so much fun with Ty classes and always look forward to working out with him! Thanks Ty and Sebastian!
google avatar

Jasmine D.

Yelp
Still mortified from the class I took with Ty about a week ago. This class is said to be for all skill levels, but it is definitely not beginner friendly, and they make it known that they don't like beginners. Ty was rude and condescending. The class was fast paced, and hard to keep up with if you don't already know the moves/ proper form! Definitely never coming here again, and will discourage anyone who mentions wanting to try this place. Hope I find a more encouraging instructor elsewhere.

Yelp
I would NOT recommend this studio at all. I have been going to another Pilates studio for over 5 years and have been very happy there. I decided to try megaformer with my brother's fiancé who raved about this place with my mom as well. It was my first time going to this studio and location. I was 6 minutes late to the class at a FIRST time client, they did not let me inside class. I kindly told the lady up front it's my first time here and the parking was tricky, she refused. The reason why I was late was because the parking lot signs are not clear and I told her that. The parking lot signs say largree fitness studio but the name of the Pilates studio is megaformer. I had a difficult time parking as there must have been a company name change and the parking signs were not updated. I have attached pics for you to see below of why one would be lost. One would expect some understanding in these challenging times of COVID. I have many Pilates studio options and I chose to try megaformer. I will not be coming back. For a studio to not provide the proper customer service as a first time client, and this is how they treat their first time clients- I can only imagine how they treat repeated clients Follow up Danielle I thank you for your response. I still feel that since building signs are not accurate and I was mislead. I'm sure you guys can ask the building signs to update their signage if that's the proper place to park. During these times where everyone is frustrated due to COVID, the last thing I was is not to be able to work out because of being 5 minutes late. I typically don't write reviews, but when I feel I have been treated unfairly and without proper understanding- "hey, she's right the signs are confusing, I will make an exception this one time" would have been the way I would treat my customers. "It's her first time" those are things that come to my mind when dealing with customers who I want to retain. Not tell them to come back another time.

Yelp
Great studio, great instructors ! To name a few Lillian,Max , Ty , Journey, and Alfredo are fantastic. Super clean and equipment is all new.
google avatar

Daria P.

Yelp
I like to diversify my workout routine, and Megaformer is an essential part of it. I love the studio and its atmosphere. Hanna at the Brentwood location is so fun to work out with. She keeps classes challenging and motivates us not to give up. I have been working out with Megaformers for over a month and definitely can feel and see the difference in my fitness level and appearance overall. I strongly advise you to try it out.

Tricia C.

Yelp
Journey, hands down is a "10" when it comes to the Megaformer instructors. Her attention to the detail that is required when teaching a class is spot on. She will always offer a variety of different moves and will always offer the client a more advanced positioning of each move or a softer modified option. There is room for every level to improve. Each class is tailored to include a different body part in each class. She is a pleasure to lean from and my athleticism is always being challenged by her. Her personality is just the best! You can help but want to listen to her the entire class! She is a hoot and an amazing instructor!
google avatar

Jane B.

Yelp
Love the trainers and the studio- they have great classes, the management is super nice and Ty and Journey are both amazing instructors. It's a killer workout that really gets you into shape!!
google avatar

Ekaterina N.

Yelp
If you had a choice of only one workout - what would it be? My top choice would be Lagree. Intense and challenging - it works out deepest stabilizing muscles, gives perfect posture and graceful gait. Yes it is open outdoors, there is a beautiful patio in the same location, behind main studio. Stellar cast of instructors keep prop up and correct just when you need it. I heart Lagree/Megaformer 4ever
google avatar

Heidi E.

Yelp
Lagree Pilates is a completely humbling, yet empowering workout. Megaformer Pilates studio is the OG of this workout, so you know they employ the best of the best when it comes to instructors. Enter our queen, Journey Kan. Journey is a ball of energy and joy, will kick your booty in class, all the while making you LOL. I can't say enough good things about this studio, this location and the instructors. If you live in West LA, you need to go.

Nicolas T.

Yelp
If you are willing to commit this is the place to work out and control your moves and strength. You can do 20 reps with weights or 5 very well done moves at every different exercise with Megaformer and you will notice a huge difference. It only took me a few weeks! Thank you Max, Caitlin, Abi, Danielle, Cat and a few other instructors that I never caught the name!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
I've been going to megaformer regularly for a little over 10 months now and it has quickly become my favorite workout class in LA. Not only did it change my body composition and help with weight loss but gave me strength/toning to levels i had never gotten to before. I have been going to the SM location and it's such a nice location with tons of natural light. Every instructor is a little bit different in their class structure and style/difficulty so if you try it once and didn't love it or thought it was too hard, try again with a different instructor before writing it off!! Everyone who teaches is great, Kelsey is amazing she is always so helpful to make sure your form is correct and to provide alternatives if you have any pain or limitations but still encourages you to push yourself to your own best. I have tried other variations of reformer/lagree method classes like solid core and body rok but mega is superior imo, you will sweat so make sure to bring water!!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Love love love this place. I've done Pilates for a few years now and wanted to move into lagree and boy does my body feel different. Just a different challenge every time!! I've taken some of the best instructors here at the West Hollywood location, want to shout out Brian, Ty and of course the creator of the method himself: Sebastian lagree! The pricing is something you can't beat (they run package deals pretty often) I would definitely recommend coming here!
google avatar

Courtnee S.

Yelp
I cannot say enough great things about this studio especially through COVID. Thankful they take proper safety measures to remain open. Danielle is so kind and warm. She is also very conscious of safety procedures to ensure our safety. The instructors are friendly, engaged and will ensure you a great workout. Megaformers are located outdoors in a lovely space and spaced out for proper distancing measures. They follow temperature checks, mask policies and sanitizing procedures. There is even free and easy parking in a underground garage. Highly recommend this studio!

Jean O.

Yelp
I love this studio. The vibe is very chill and Sydney, who greets you/checks you in, is adorable! Just the sweetest. There is another lovely person who has checked me but I haven't caught her name - I will ask next time though! My absolute favorite instructor is JOURNEY. She is unapologetically REAL. Her routines are challenging and soothing at the same time. I get an amazing workout and I walk out half dazed, but at the same time filled with love. She will make you laugh and sweat! It's like therapy all rolled into one :) Her instructions and demo's are on point! The machines here are the newest and the best. They are very sturdy and smooth. The front desk will leave wipes for you on your machine a few mins before your class ends so you can wipe down your machine. I have only been to the Santa Monica location - it is great!!! Parking is very easy as you can park in any of the lots for 1.5 hours free. And you are next door to target! Haha another dream of mine :) And hey, go to the mall and shop or go eat near by! It's perfect! I HIGHLY recommend this studio - the location, the vibe, the instruction, the equipment. What else do you need? :)

Leah G.

Yelp
This place sucks. They make you buy 25$ socks and don't tell you need them and the front desk person was SO rude to me. Such attitude never coming back don't reccomend at all
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
This workout is INSANE! I do reformer Pilates all the time but this was my first encounter with the SUPRAFORMER. It could probably have been used back in the day as a medieval torture device. I don't know what is more painful: the acute burn during the actual class or the debilitating muscle soreness that ensues for the next three days. I first came to Lagree with a friend who had taken classes here before so I was aware that the workout would be tough! I couldn't fathom that a 25 minute full body workout would leave me sore but now I know, this class is not for the faint of heart. It is 25 minutes of high intensity nonstop time under tension. You will be shaking from start to finish as the supraformer turns and tilts--holding a plank is basically your recovery. This workout is so unique and works such odd muscles, I think it would be challenging for ANYONE in any kind of shape. I would not recommend this class to anyone new to Pilates or in terrible shape--start at an easy studio or take a beginners class. The instructors give excellent guidance and corrections. I wish the music was a little better (mostly instrumental EDM), but the class goes by so quickly and you spend most of your time fighting for your life on a rotating, sliding carriage from hell, there's hardly any time to think about it. This studio is HUGE and I love the convenient garage parking.

Katherine V.

Yelp
Instructors are not there to teach everyone. Know that if youre in the intro class you will be treated like an idiot. Dont go here, wouldnt recommend to anyone, ever. Wrost experience ever.
google avatar

Bee D.

Yelp
Stray away from the instructor Samantha R. Haven't been going here for long and usually don't like to leave reviews but I'm boiling. I've been to a few classes here and can't say that I've had any great experiences yet (minus Brian--he's awesome) as I'm still looking to find the best instructor for me (if I continue to go here..right now I'm stuck with a multi-pack) My experience as of recently with Samantha..I understand "tough love" especially in a work out space but workouts are meant to be considered a SAFE space; take into consideration that everyone is there for a different reason and backgrounds and MENTAL HEALTH before you go ahead and radiate rude energy. It wasn't tough love at all. I was humiliated--she really had the audacity to come over to me and while her mic is still on for the whole class to hear she says "if you're not going to be in the EXACT proper position then don't even bother coming to class" then she looks me in the eyes LAUGHS and says "oh look she's like scared" (still on the mic headset) are you serious? AND the fact that she knew damn well that I wasn't used to this class/machine. I understand it's not a beginner level class. But I was mortified while she goes about praising some of the others. Like RELAX. YOU'RE GETTING PAID REGARDLESS of whether or not my leg can stretch that far or if my knees are tucked under my hip at line 6. I try my best. I know you're praised to be some pro but you ain't sh** , and I ain't sh** either. Side note, Maxwell's class isn't too great either. He seemed annoyed at all the beginners 3 weeks ago--like dude don't adjust my leg then..save your 2 minutes of 10 counts ..like I'll figure it out--no one asked for assistance. On a positive note, Brian is great (I've taken many classes with him at soul cycle as well) Also don't advertise as "Pilates" like y'all formerly did cause Samantha said with tude "it's not Pilates alright? It's LAGREE..you should know the difference" over half of the reviews and instagrammers think it's a form of Pilates. Let us be! We just wanted a nice workout and safe space... I'll end this on a "positive" note-- the 1 star is for good parking, clean studio & Brian. After writing this review I made an executive decision not to go back for my remaining pre-purchased classes. So y'all can keep my money-- not going to chase anyone down for a refund. Cheers.

Yelp
I originally went here thinking it was yoga. When I got there I was thrown off by those big machines. I checked in and the girl at first desk took me to give me a run down of how the machine and class works. You need to wear yoga socks with grips, no shoes on machine. This is a 25 min intense workout that really is no cake walk. So far I've only done the full body classes and felt the effects of it afterwards. You get a great sweat on! I live that it is only 25 mins but intense. I've been back several times now and I'm really enjoying it. There is street metered parking or free under ground parking. 2 nice, clean bathrooms but no showers or changing rooms. Water, towels and socks available for purchase and free lo

Ying Y.

Yelp
As one of the previous reviews said -- 1 star for Samantha R. Booked this class through classpass & she was the worst instructor ive ever taken throughout my whole classpass history. Just stood there, not demonstrating the moves & when she saw some members & me were clearly confused with the moves just continued talking as if she didn't want to instruct -- didn't give any modifications as well for beginners. Had a sense she just ignored those who were having trouble -- worst instructor i've ever experienced!
google avatar

Esther W.

Yelp
I found out about this studio through ClassPass. For beginners, it can be quite hard to follow along, as I've never done this sort of pilates before. I'm used to pilates machines that don't move and turn, so this was like pilates on drugs. Upon checking in, I was a bit confused as I walked into a class, but if you go in the back, they will check you in and take care of you. I was surprised at the price of the grip socks - they were $17, which was quite expensive, so I would recommend you bring your own. The class I took was a 25 minute class - personally, I don't think 25 minutes is enough for a workout if you're still trying to get the hang of it.
google avatar

Farhad M.

Yelp
Awesome classes specially Ty and Jenny. We go there a few times a week and results are awesome. Only in 25 minutes you can get the body you always wanted !! My posture is so much better and I look forward to going there every time
google avatar

Nadiya V.

Yelp
Perfect for all levels! I have been coming to Megaformer Studio for the past month. My really good friend recommended and inspired me to come. Lilian is a fantastic instructor, helpful and attentive. The facility has new equipment, very clean with a free convenient parking. The classes are challenging but after each class you will feel stronger and accomplished. I would recommend Lagree to anyone.

Tamara M.

Yelp
Full body is my favorite class it works your entire body at a slow pace so it's almost impossible to be injured. They always ask if you have any recent surgeries or injuries so they can accommodate you in the class. The music is very lively and upbeat, the teachers have high positive energy and easy to follow. If you are new they will put you between people who have been taking the class for awhile so in case you are unfamiliar you can always look to your left or right so you will never feel lost. You may not get it the first time but I guarantee you will just keep coming to class. The bathrooms are extremely clean and always fully stocked.
google avatar

Telena V.

Yelp
--LOCATION-- facing La Cienega Blvd. --PARKING-- meter parking --CLASS/ MACHINE-- 25 minutes of shaking, quivering muscles and dripping sweat This Supra machine is insane. You do the entire 25 minutes on it. It tilts left, right, and inclines. Familiarize yourself with the machine including the numbered areas of the machine (feet, knee, hand, heal placements go on these numbers during workout), the resistance cords/nubs, and the handle bars/grips. You will be sore the next day! --INSTRUCTOR-- Our instructor was the best (Sam?)! I love how encouraging, pushing, and helpful she was. She will come to you and adjust your form, motivate you, and lead you through the full 25 minutes.
google avatar

Ria D.

Yelp
I love this studio so much! Coming from NYC it's such a treat going here. If you really want to improve your form and be challenged go here! Samantha and Ty are amazing and yes they are tough.. who cares! why else are you there! Thanks so much guys!

Yelp
Hello people, we have stepped into the future ... Lagree Fitness Studio + Supraformers + Ky Evans Science = Amazing Life Changing Experience. My husband and I have been training with Ky Evans for over 2 years, doing the 50 minute workouts on the megaformers. We are addicted to Lagree and become a Ky Evans Groupie. Previously, I tried all other group fitness workouts (Spin, gyms, personal training, hot yoga) and would easily get bored after 9 months or so. Lagree Method has kept me interested for over 2 years and Ky Evans' Science has changed my life. Sebastian has outdone himself with the Supra. It takes you to another level (pun intended) I went to mock sessions to try it out and was very excited for Danielle's studio to open. The supraformer machine + Ky Evan's science, sports performance workouts is untouchable. Mentally and physically challenging, flows that are well planned, efficient, effective and tire your body within the first minute. Good thing the workout is ONLY takes 25 minutes, I wouldn't be able to take 50 min on this beast. Just KNOW that this workout is going to be an incredible, taxing challenge, mentally and physically, but you will feel amazing accomplishment and see FAST results. Ky is a genius when it comes to programming your workouts for results. Go 3-4x a week, and you will see unbelievable mental and physical change. Danielle and Sebastian are SUPER sweet and welcoming, it is a great atmosphere to get in, get your 25 minute workout, and get out. I am SO appreciative and grateful of the opportunity to try the Supra, to visit Danielle Lagree's studio, to workout with Ky, and to be able to thank Sebastian in person for the gift of life-changing workouts he has brought to our life. Thank you Sebastian. Thank you Danielle, Thank you Ky. P.S. Plenty of FREE Parking in the retail spots underground.

Alex M.

Yelp
Great workout and love that it's only 25-minutes. The class is hard but totally worth it! I am shaking the entire time and hate my life but somehow I always end up booking another class because it's really one of the only workouts where you SEE RESULTS. Full Body with Ty and abs with KJ are my favorites!
google avatar

Jae L.

Yelp
I came in for my first class this week and it was pretty good. Although, I'm not use to using a reformer for my workouts and it really helps with isolation, it takes some getting use to. The lagree method is quite interesting as it doesn't require you to be in position for too long, about a minute or so. I'd definitely come back again.
google avatar

Lana T.

Yelp
This is a very challenging workout but can be adapted for all fitness levels. You will be sore in places you never have been before. Great for isolating muscles especially the core! I love taking class with KJ, TY, Sam and Jenny! 25 min may not sound long but you will be sweaty and sore for sure :)
google avatar

Sachié H.

Yelp
I've been going to Lagree for over a year now, and I still get sore after class. This workout has helped me elongate and tone my muscles that got bulky from spinning and boxing - and yes, the 25 minutes is plenty. The instructor I really have to thank is Sam. She gives such specific adjustments and alignment instructions which make all the difference. Thanks to her (and my awesome chiropractor) I've corrected my posture and got 1.5 inches of my height back.
google avatar

Chelsea P.

Yelp
Lagree quickly became my favorite new workout! The classes are 25 minutes, but that doesn't mean they're easy! I love the length, as it's easier to fit a workout in with a busy schedule. The supra is no ordinary megaformer, and they stress that it is NOT a pilates class. I truly get a full body workout every time. The instructors have a remote that makes the machine incline and move left and right, truly testing your stability and making the workout that much more intense. I love Emma's classes, as well as Ty's, although you really can't go wrong with any of the instructors! The studio and bathrooms are always clean and well kept. Parking is easy, with a structure below. Prices are reasonable. If you're up for a serious ab burner, try the core sculpt! My core has never been so strong. Thanks Lagree!!
google avatar

Kehau R.

Yelp
I discovered this place because it was the only place where I could get my Lagree workout on while the stay at home order has been in place. The staff and instructors are so friendly. And the instructors are amazing. Super challenging workouts.

Tess T.

Yelp
This 5-star review is for Journey who is such an asset to any studio she instructs at. I have thrown a couple of wellness events with her as the instructor, and the class is always laughing and having a good time while being challenged but encouraged. Multiple people who were new to lagree and the machine commented on how comfortable she made them feel. If you have a good sense of humor, follow her on IG @journsla and subscribe to her newsletter!
google avatar

Layla Y.

Yelp
First time here: no greeting. Brittany the front desk rudely and insincerely told me to leave the studio because my socks were not adequate. She can't move me to any other class because I signed up through classpass. Amazing first impression. Never would recommend!

Yelp
I've been doing Lagree for about 8 months now, all on Megaformers, and all in studios in the Bay Area. The fanciest Lagree machine I had been on before was a megaformer with ramping capabilities. I love this form of exercise and on my trip to LA, I figured what better place to do a Lagree workout than at THE Lagree Fitness Studio? I signed up for a 25-minute Supra class via ClassPass and was anxious and nervous despite having done Lagree style exercises dozens of times. The Supraformer can be quite intimidating. After familiarizing myself with the machine, our time started. Within seconds, I felt the burn. Everything was so much harder with the ramping and tilting. I loved that we didn't spend as much time on each exercise. My instructor, Samantha, has a level of intensity that I have not experienced before. She stood right in front of my face and made eye contact while telling me to push harder. A bit hardcore but I didn't mind it at all. I also appreciated that she was hands on and made small corrections that no one had ever pointed out to me before. At one point, I was drenching in sweat and ready to quit. Just as the thought passed through my mind, I heard her say it was time for child's pose. The class was over! 25 minutes went by quickly. It was fun.

Yelp
When i first booked this class I thought "how bad can 25 minutes be?" I've been taking lagree megaformer classes in SF for about 2-3 years now and my classes up north are normally 40 minutes long. I expected the 25 minutes to be a breeze. Let me tell you -- i was very very wrong. The supra machine is pretty similar to the megaformer but with ramps that not only go up and down but side to side as well. This saves a lot of time since now you can work out center abs and obliques while holding one plank. The other difference I noticed that makes these classes more efficient is how hard they push you here. Instead of a weak "level 2, or level 4" these machines get ramped extremely high so the intensity is brought to a max immediately. The instructor also doesn't waste time explaining moves so a newbie might take a couple of lessons before they get familiarized with all the movements. I'm definitely addicted. I want all of my classes to be 25 minutes now. What an amazing workout! i can't wait to come back! Efficient and effective -- the best type of workout.

Yelp
This is the best workout in Los Angeles, it never gets easier and the results are incredible. I'm someone who has never had abs that has them now thanks to this studio. Sounds insane but one class I really pushed myself and told myself no modifications, no breaks....I left seeing instantly more definition in my core. They will push you to get you to your goals and are very attentive if you need a modification due to an injury. I feel like the strength I've gained through lagree has helped me be less injury prone in many aspects of my life.

Yelp
Took a class here for the first time last weekend - I've done MDR before and I knew this was a more intense version of that, but I have to say I did not enjoy the class at all. The teacher was a little too intense for my liking - I understand some people need to be pushed but she seemed annoyed when people weren't positioned right or out of sync. The first machine I was on didn't start moving and I spent quite a lot of time looking for an on button before I finally realized it was broken - when I moved to a new machine the springs were all mangled and looked broken, so I left them alone. The instructor came over and yelled at me for not having a black string on - when I pointed out that they were broken, she said "if the spring is broken use all the ones that aren't broken, I said that three times already." I definitely did not hear her say that three times, and it also kind of bothered me that instead of fixing machines that were broken we were just using modifications? Overall I just did not get a good vibe from that class. Everyone at the front desk was really nice and showed me around since it was my first time but the instructor didn't seem to care.

Yelp
I've been doing lagree Pilates on and off for the last four years. In the past year more frequently. Even though I've done ramp, the Supra is something else. It's so intense in the best possible way. I usually don't sweat all that much during a typical megareformer class, but I drip in sweat after these 25 minute classes. I really like the short class duration- even though it's only 25 minutes I feel there is absolutely no chance to go easy. Very efficient. Definitely feel sore 24 hits later. Have had Sam, Brian and Luke. All have been really great, encouraging and made form adjustments.

Yelp
I have been doing Lagree for almost 10 years, and Journey is my favorite instructor of all time (and I've had a lot!). Don't be misled by the fact that she's small and hilarious, her workouts will make you want to die (and also get you in the best shape of your life). She will support you and cajole you into holding that plank longer, taking that lunge lower, and adding in that extra push-up every time in a way that makes you feel empowered and not bullied. Everyone needs this workout, and Journey, in their lives.
