The food was great as always. We had the 4 course meal with the Wisconsin cheese fondue which was delicious. The dippers for the cheese were plentiful. The California and Caesar salads were really flavorful. We did the land and sea mojo style for the entree. I feel like that's the least exciting part because you have to cook it yourself and the process takes a while. We ended with the cake fireworks explosion chocolate fondue. That was disappointing aside from the cool fireworks but the cake crumbled a part in pieces and the cotton candy was doused in some inedible solution so we couldn't even eat the cotton candy. It was just okay, not worth the extra money. I had the Love Martini which was really good. My overall rating is mid because the service was SUPER slow. The waitress was not very attentive to our needs and took forever with our requests which made our dining experience long and dragged out. Hopefully next time it will be a better experience.

The place is really cozy and the service very friendly. The food is great, from the salads to the cheese fondue and the desserts. We had the meat lovers and it was amazing, really recommended! And for dessert the chocolate with rum is really nice. Definitely a place to visit as a couple for a romantic meal or with family and friends!

We always had a great here, the service is very good, the food is good too. This is a fun experience for kids and for the family in general. They have a kid’s menu, we had plenty of food, we were 5 and actually if you go with people that not eat that much you can actually share the protein. The cheese was good, a lot of bread and veggies, the seasoning was great on the meet, and the dessert was good too. If you like spicy I highly recommend the Fiesta cheese Fondue, it’s very good, if not the Wisconsin cheddar is good too. Our entrees were Steak lovers, land and sea, Pacific Rim and just chicken, they are a very good portions. And to the end, our chocolate fondue was pure chocolate and banana foster and this last was amazing. The drinks were good. At the end they surprised my little girl with a happy birthday piece of cake and a wonderful decoration.

The Valentines Day meal was totally worth it! The atmosphere at the Melting Pot location in Arlington is super cozy and romantic. Lots of small rooms divided with partial walls, giving your table an intimate feeling with not being in eyesight of others. The meal was preset and a bit on the expensive side. However, if you’re willing to splurge for the whole experience - the food was great, its fun to cook yourself and the staff does a great job checking in, making sure you have everything you need. Definitely would recommend trying for a special night out!

First time here and honestly it’s a nice experience. The food was good though, definitely enjoyed the steak ! My favorite was the house salad but the best part was the chocolate fondue for dessert. The espresso martini was just the right amount of sweet and chocolate.

I had the best birthday dinner in a long time here! The artichoke cheese fondue was just out of the world and the yin and yang chocolate fondue stole my heart. On top of that our waiter Wells gave us an excellent service and great recommendations. 10/10 would come here again!

We came in on a Friday night and they weren’t super busy. The parking is right underneath the building and requires the restaurant to validate your parking pass to make it only $2. Our server was friendly and responsive, always checking in with us. We went with the first option for the course meal which was $106 for two people. We had the garlic cheese which came with fruit, veggies, and bread. I think that was the best part of the meal! We then got California and Caesar salad, which was okay. Coq au vin with the classic and pacific entrees, the portion size was much bigger than I thought. The meats were seasoned well and tasted fine without the dipping sauces. For dessert we got the yin yang which was white and dark chocolate that came with fruit and other sweet things. Personally I thought it was too sweet. If I came back I’d order a la carte and get the cheese and entrees, as those were the best part of the course meal. But overall had a great first experience!

My husband and I, 75 years of age, chose "Thursdate" for our anniversary dinner. We were seated at a tiny corner table with three candles and rose petals, but told that the restaurant had NO HEAT! We wondered why it was open at all and I lamented the fact that I had not worn my fur-lined boots: my feet were freezing. Nighttime temperatures have been in the mid-teens; daytime temperatures in the low 20s; however, we had been cooking so much at home that we thought it would be nice to have someone else cook for us, for a change. After a first course of cheese fondue with mostly small rounds of bread, to which four small pieces of carrot and celery and two each of broccoli and cauliflower and some cut green apple were included, we considered taking our leave: It was really cold. But we decided to stick it out. Our waitress, Brittany, should have at least been supplied a sweater or jacket. She did her best, though her training should include offering fresh ground pepper on our salads: She had the pepper grinder with her, but it was difficult to get her attention, being tucked back in a far corner. When Brittany brought ice water, we asked for water that was not cold; it was cold enough, inside and out! She returned water with no ice, but it was still very cold, and we moved it as close as we could to the cook top. The chill didn't leave for a long time. Management might consider offering a hot, non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated drink for cold winter nights—especially if they open the restaurant without heat! My martini was good, but it was some time in arriving, even though we were the only patrons in the restaurant when we arrived. I did request Absolute vodka, as I'd never heard of their bar vodka. Unfortunately, there is no non-alcoholic beer available, which would have been my husband’s choice. The main course followed our salads--Caesar and spinach, and they were good enough and sufficient, given the amount of food that is included in the four-course meals. One serving plate included broccoli, potatoes, and two pieces of zucchini; the other, the meats. I attempted to carefully time everything, and there was a lot of it. A huge problem is that the cooktop was not within my reach without my having to stand up, reach over, add things to the broth, fish for the things that were done, and sit down each time. I had to do all of the cooking, as my husband has hardware in both legs and a shoulder replacement: Not a candidate for the calisthenics that I endured. My husband enjoyed the potatoes; we each enjoyed our single piece of zucchini; the broccoli became too salty, having spent too much time in the pot. The mushroom ravioli—one each—was tasty, and we enjoyed the shrimp and salmon; however, we didn’t get a lot of flavor from the chicken, the filet mignon, or the teriyaki-marinated steak. Fortunately, although we were stuffed, the dessert saved the day: fresh strawberry and banana slices, chocolate-covered marshmallows, blondies, brownies, rice crispies, and waffles pieces, all of which we dipped into our favorite: dark chocolate. We laughed a lot, because we always do, trying to find the humor in everything, and were glad for the diversion. During the night, I had a horrible reaction in my right sinus from the extreme cold and I was unable to sleep more than a couple of hours. The following day, I developed significant muscle pain in my buttocks from all the standing, leaning, cooking, scooping…and last night—two nights later—unbearable pain from my sciatic nerve continues as of this writing. In conclusion, I would suggest that management CLOSE THE RESTAURANT if there is no heat in sub-freezing temperatures; that the small, awkward, corner tables not be used, as it is not possible to reach the cook pot without more athletic ability than I have; that some consideration be given for older people so they do not have to do said gymnastics, and that beverage choices for non-alcohol drinkers and for winter be considered.

Yelp
Delicious! The restaurant was pretty empty and slow so there weren't a ton of employees, but the waiter we had was super friendly and knew how to do the job well. The dessert round was definitely my favorite. This is a great place to go for a date:)

Yelp
Melting Pot is a unique experience as you have to cook your own food in front of you. There is a parking garage and it's validated, so no worries on that end. In regards to service, the host is always so polite, unfortunately, our waitress wasn't as attentive and kind of just brushed over the details and didn't really check on us. We even had to wait over 20 minutes to get our final course of dessert. When paying the prices you do at Melting Pot, I expect a certain level of service. When it comes to the food, overall, it was tasty. The chicken and steak are well seasoned. Not really a big fan of the salmon though. As always the spinach and artichoke cheese fondue and s'mores of dessert was everything. Unfortunately, my salad was overdressed and had croutons, even though I said no croutons twice to the waitress. I prefer going with a smaller party, so if you go, I suggest date night or a girls night with your best friend. Also, a solo happy hour might work!

Yelp
The Melting Pot is STILL Melting! After over 15 years of enjoying an occasional meal at this modern HOTPOT staple....I have to say that they DID NOT disappointment me..YET AGAIN. Now I have to admit that with all the other new and interesting places to go I thought it very CLICHE to celebrate a birthday here but the newer generation wanted to try the place out. We enjoyed a night of fun...Skewer fighting, veggie dropping, delicious drinks, entertaining host and a beautifully calm, warm decor. We took part in the BFFF which was sooo much food...the cheese, the salad, the protein & the dessert was ALL soo good and more than we could possibly eat. I am glad I decided to give the Melting pot another chance. So whether you want to do an ADULT outting, or an intimate dinner this will give you what you are looking for. Now i just need to find me a date to take here!

Yelp
Celebrating my birthday at this establishment was truly a memorable experience! The artichoke cheese fondue was a culinary masterpiece, captivating my taste buds with its rich and flavorful combination. Equally impressive was the yin and yang chocolate fondue, a delightful sweet conclusion that left a lasting impression. Our waiter, Wells, went above and beyond to provide us with impeccable service, showcasing a genuine passion for hospitality. His thoughtful recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, elevating the overall dining experience. From start to finish, the attention to detail and the quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations, making this birthday dinner one for the books. I look forward to returning to savor more of the exquisite offerings and impeccable service that this establishment has to offer.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but I was so disappointed. While the table was setup so cute for date night and the service was exceptional, the food was so incredibly bland and mediocre. I find this place to be far over priced for the quality of the food. All of the meats/proteins were bland and the sauces didn't make it much better. Also, I'm pretty sure something in the food made me and my boyfriend sick. We left with very upset stomachs. The tables are really small and don't allow for much space for plates, silverware or glasses. It was also very dark in the restaurant and made it difficult for even the server to see what he was doing.

Yelp
The melting pot is a unique restaurant where everything is fondue and hotpot based. The main meal is three courses: a cheese fondue starter, a salad, and a hotpot-style entree where you choose a broth/cooking base, a selection of meats and vegetables, and then cook them yourself. The fondue and bases are prepared in front of you at your table, and they taste wonderful. Dessert includes chocolate fondue and tasty waffles bites, brownies, blondies, as well as some fruit.

Yelp
We came here to have some drinks at the bar and try the chocolate fondue. The restaurant was busy, since it was a Saturday night, but the bar area was pretty empty. The bartender was super busy, so it took a little while before he asked what we wanted. I ordered a wine flight, my husband ordered a beer, and we ordered the chocolate fondue to share (which comes with strawberries, bananas, and various bite-size desserts for dipping). For $16, I thought the wine flight was a good deal, because it included 3 generous pours. We ordered their signature chocolate fondue, which is milk chocolate melted with crunchy peanut butter. The fondue was delicious of course; what's not to love about melted chocolate?? My only complaint was that we ran out of chocolate before we had finished dipping all of our desserts. It wasn't a big deal, since we were full, but I think a little more chocolate would have been great. Overall, it was a nice spot for chocolate fondue and drinks.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The fondue is delicious and the atmosphere is really nice. I always get the classic alpine, and usually the Wisconsin cheddar. There's a large variety of options so you get to try a lot. There is also a big vegetarian course that is offered.I enjoy the layout of the restaurant, it provides a sense of privacy. The tables are separated by walls so the dining experience is more calm. Our server was Brandon and he did a fantastic job. He was fast, friendly, welcoming, and patient. He was also a wonderful conversationalist which is important at these places because they make the food in front of you. I highly recommended this place if you like fondue or hotpot.

Yelp
I've been to a couple of Melting Pots before because we love this restaurant as a date night. Reston, Annapolis, and even one in PA. Our most recent visit at this Arlington location was the best experience yet. The food was delicious from the cheese all the way to the chocolate. Our waitress was very attentive and came back to offer more food whenever we were running low. There was so much cheese for our first course that I was satisfied from that alone! The entree meats course had huge portions and large quantity, more meat and biggest size we have seen yet. It was definitely worth the money and I was so full I almost couldn't finish! I'm normally not a huge fan of the chocolate because it's too overly sweet, but this one was perfect! We had a party of 8 and I thought that would be too much and too hectic, but everything was super smooth! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
always love coming to the melting pot I used to come here a lot with my family so it's nice to have one nearby! came here for my birthday with a group of 6 and had a blast! always a good dining experience whether it's a group or date night. we ordered all the courses - cheese, salad, entrees, chocolate dessert!! cheese - spinach artichoke & fiesta salad - cesar salad (their cesar is always bomb) entree - everyone ordered different things. usually i order only the teriyaki steak because it's just SO. GOOD. but I decided to switch it up and got the teriyaki steak, salmon, and chicken potstickers! only thing I noticed was that it took a very long time for the salads to come out and for our server to take the empty cheese bowls back, but that's besides the point. didn't ruin our night because we were too busy talking anyways. we had a great time with great service and I will continue to come back as always

Yelp
My first time at melting pot and it was really fun! We had an amazing server who gave great suggestions and brought everything out quickly. We came for happy hour which allowed us to get their chocolate fondues and drinks discounted. We were a group of seven and got 2 savory and 2 sweet fondues. Starting with savory we got the spinach artichoke and classic alpine. Both were really good but I liked the spinach artichoke the best. For dessert we got the original and s'mores fondue. S'mores was so good and the assortment to dip in the fondue was great. Overall I had a great experience and loved the variety available for fondue.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at The Melting Pot, and it was all thanks to our server, Kaya! She's the embodiment of super chill and made our evening so enjoyable. Kaya's relaxed energy just let the good vibes flow, and she was so much fun to talk to. I appreciated her warm and welcoming service, which added to the overall fantastic dining experience. Thanks, Kaya, for making our night unforgettable!

Yelp
I had a great time at my solo dinner at the Melting Pot last week! I was craving fondue for a few days and decided to make a trip. I made a reservation on Open Table and they only had 8:45 pm or latter available. However when I arrived 2 hours early to see if they had any earlier openings they seated me right away. The restaurant was fairly quite despite a few large groups dining in as well. Javier was my server for the evening. He was very attentive and did a great job explaining the menu to me. I had only been to Melting Pot once prior about 15 years ago. I opted for a la cart because Im not a dessert fan and knew I wouldn't want the chocolate fondue. So I chose a cheese fondue, skipped the salad dessert and chose the pacific rim option to include a variety of protein. Everything was fresh and tasty. My only issue was having to choose one of the many tempting options! Excited to go back to sample other options!

Anish B.

Yelp
Used to go here when I was in high school. Came here with family to celebrate a birthday - we enjoyed dipping breads and veggies into the gooey and hot spinach artichoke. The ying yang dessert is epic: it comes with dark and white chocolate. You get to put cookies, brownies, marshmallows, graham crackers, and other stuff into the chocolate fondue. Restaurant is great for those with allergies. Staff were friendly and gave us extra marshmallow dippers!

Yelp
We had some family visiting for the weekend and Melting Pot is right across the street from us, so we thought it would be fun to go as a large group. The service was terrible and the food is a rip-off for the prices that they charge. It was the first time for all of us and it took a while for us to understand the menu. Our server didn't take the time to explain it to us. All she did was point to the set menus and point to the à la carte options on the other side. We had an odd number of people in our party so we had to figure out how to price out the "experiences" which are for 2 people. When we asked her questions, she repeated herself and pointed to the menu again as though that was going to provide some clarity (it didn't), so we took the time to figure it out on our own. After taking our drink orders, she disappeared and didn't return to take our food orders until my husband got up to track her down. For the cheese fondue, we tried the Alpine classic which was terrible--the white wine was too strong and overpowered the flavors of the cheese. Some others in our group got the Spinach Artichoke which was bland. The salads were nothing special--I've had better salads at Appleby's and Chili's. The main course reminded us of Chinese hot pot, but twice as expensive. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. No complaints here. The chocolate fondue was the best part and the reason why this isn't a 1-star review. The chocolates were delicious and we loved the variety of sweets and fruits for dipping. If I return, I will only do the chocolate fondue.

Deb W.

Yelp
I love the melting pot as they make every experience special. One may think fondue isn't filling but it didn't disappoint. I love the outstanding customer service and overall experience. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience and will continue celebrating my special occasions with them!

Yelp
This was my first time at Melting Pot ever! Made the wise decision to come during restaurant week, and my friends and I had the best time! Our server Malik was amazing! So helpful and patient with us as It was our first time and we needed some explaining. We had three courses. The cheese fondue was to die for. Malik made It at the table in front of us. We got the classic alpine. We devoured this with the bread, veggies, and apples It comes with. We also ordered a bottle of the house red for the table which paired well with the cheese. Next you get to pick from salad options. The caprese salad was a solid choice. At this point I could feel myself getting really full, but I pushed through! Next up was the proteins. You get to pick from four. My favorite was definitely the teriyaki sirloin and the mushroom sacchetti. We chose to cook It Coq Au Vin style. A great choice. Came with eight different dipping sauces and extra veggies. Of course we couldn't say no to the dessert. This was incredible. S'mores style fondue chocolate dip with everything from Rice Krispy treats to strawberries to brownies to dip It in. We left so full, but I already can't wait to come back! Next time I would probably be satisfied with just the cheese and chocolate! It's a lot of food, but if you've never had a Melting Pot experience you should definitely check It out!

Veronica Turbay T.

Yelp
This was a great date night location. We had a nice cozy booth for just the 2 of us! After a satisfying dinner we enjoyed the Yin and Yang chocolate dessert. Service is great, parking is a bit of a walk in case you are wearing heels LOL!

Angela W.

Yelp
We went to the wrong restaurant because their entrance through the garage was a little confusing. We made a reservation at 8:15PM and we're there past 10PM. They close at 9PM so I'm not sure why an experience that's over an hour is allowed to be booked less than an hr before close. However 10/10 staff. We felt bad once we realized how early they closed but our waitress never rushed us and gave us a full experience. Food was ok. My fav was the cheese and the chocolate dip but the package deal was worth the price to try their fill menu out at least once.

Neelam P.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our experience at this location last week. Our server was a young woman named Hannah studying at a local university. Her positive energy, fantastic conversational skills and great service really made our 9 year old birthday celebration at this location memorable. Thank you Hannah and thank you management!

Chris O.

Yelp
First and foremost our server (and so much more) Elizabeth was amazing. She made everything easy and fun since it was our first time at a Melting Pot. Then there is the food. We did the 4 course combo and it was really good. The cheese was great, and the chocolate dessert was decadent. The salad and the entree were good but not as amazing as the cheese and chocolate. We were in a nice quiet booth away from any action so we got to spend quality time together. The dinner was pricy, as advertised but for a special occasion it was a great family event.

G. R.

Yelp
Our waiter was great. I'm not a fan of boiling chunks of meat. The sauces were awful. Vegetables were not good, the potatoes tasted like they had been previously frozen. My kids did like desert.

Kasi M.

Yelp
It was my husbands birthday so we visited the melting pot. It was our first time so we did not now what to expect. The server was great at describing how it worked. We ended up getting the four course meal each and two drinks. First, let me start by saying this place is not cheap! Our total bill was 125.00 for the two of us, however we left satisfied and very full. You start by picking a cheese for tour fruits and veggies and bread. I was surprised to see that they offered seconds after some of the bread was gone. We had our 14 month old daughter with us and she thoroughly enjoyed all the finger foods so this was kind of perfect for her. Anyways, after that came the salads which they had a nice selection. Then we each chose our own meats aka the entree. My husband went the steak route while I tried a little of everything. You get to decide how you want to cook your meat and they give you a bowl of veggies as well. We originally asked for the griddle which said "new" on the menu but we ended up getting some type of boil? It was good and gave everything nice flavor and also cooked things super fast. I think despite not being what we ordered it made sense for our first time. After that came dessert. We went the traditional route and just got milk chocolate. You got pretzels, rice crispies, marshmallows, strawberries, pineapple, waffles etc. it was good but we were so full at this point and the baby was ready to go. Overall, we liked this place and it felt intimate and special. It is not every day dining and I think they know that As they asked if we were "celebrating anything". At the end they brought out a plate with the word happy birthday and a small square of the angel food cake with whip cream and a candle. It was nice but I felt it was lacking considering how expensive this place is.

Dane S.

Yelp
I'm addition to all of the food being delicious and brought out promptly and right when the other course ended (4 course for 2), the Server for the night was the best so far! Wells (self proclaimed like the Bank) was a delight! He made sure that all of our needs were taken care of, all questions we had were met with a knowledgeable response as well as fast timing with everything. He was friendly and funny and very polite to say the least. While it may be an expensive venue, it's not just the food you are paying for, it's an experience. And Wells made that experience thoroughly enjoyable.

Yelp
2/5 Star: two stars total, 1 Star for bringing the food, 1 star bringing the check Coming to Melting Pot is all about enjoying the interactive dinning experience. Let's say not only that we didn't get the full experience, we have also left the restaurant unsatisfied. We get seated on a corner/semi private table. 10 minutes after we have been seating, our server finally bought us water and explained to the menu. We started off with the Bacon & Brie fondue. Our server took our order, then another 20 minutes later, the fondue finally came. The server cooked the fondue in front of us. The bacon and Brie is very creamy and boozy! But I think the stove was on too high, the cheese got over cooked and thicken. So it tasted a bit salty then it supposed be. At this time, we have finished our cheese fondue, another 45 minutes later, we are still waiting for our entree. We have ordered the create your own entree with 4 items( shrimp, Angus sirloin, Cajun chicken and teriyaki sirloin). At this point, I have went from hungry to not hungry anymore. My appetite was not there anymore. The restaurant was not like packed or slammed. No body came and checked on us after we have expressed that we waited the food for toooooo long! This was a totally disappointment!!!!! Slow service, under staff and no service recovery! Even thought the food was decent, this might be the first and last time for me here.......

Yelp
Had a great time tonight for our anniversary at the melting pot thanks to my guy Wells for a great experience will definitely be coming back soon

Yelp
Worth the splurge! My boo and i went on a Monday night- great deal for military (20% off!!) & they also host deals on Thursday for "Date Night". We went with the suggestions our waitress gave us and enjoyed all of them. Cheese fondue- classic. The dippers were great & i was surprised the Granny Smith apple tasted so good with the cheese mix. Salad- i had caprese and he had ceasar. The captese salad took me a bit by surprise since usually it's just mozzarella tomato with basil & the seasonings but they added an arugula/spinach mix to it Cooking style- we went with boil method with the flavor mojo. Mojo is Caribbean/Hispanic with garlic lime & adobo type flavor. Was a really nice pairing with the meats we selected. We both opted for the classic which came with shrimp, beef tenderloin, chicken, steak flank and pork. Each meat was seasoned in its own signature way but the only one you could really taste after being in the mojo was the pork. The sauces that come on the side are so good! The cocktail sauce for the shrimp was my favorite- really great kick of horseradish. The plum and mustard sauce was also tasty. The cream and chive dip went well with the potatoes as well. Dessert- we were so full so we stuck with the regular milk chocolate. The selection of dippers were great, my favorite was the pound cake & brownie. He enjoyed the pineapple and Rice Krispie. To drink- i got 14 hands Cabernet. Nothin special but pretty good, i could see myself buying a bottle. He ordered the classic old fashioned as well as the Melting pot mule. For a couple e tea bucks you get to keep the cup and he was pretty excited about that. Over all we really enjoyed it and we'll be back for plenty Monday's to come to try different combinations !

Yelp
My Girlfriend and I came for Halloween, we entered in the costume contest and won. We had an amazing experience, great ambiance, food, drinks and Halloween themed Experience! Our waiter was Brandon, he was awesome and he by far one of the best waiters we've had! 5 star review

Yelp
I will admit that we are WAY BEHIND on the fondue train. Chocolate or cheese you really can't go wrong! While I'm not a fan of reviewing franchised establishments on the regular, the experience itself is worth raving (and writing) about! A huge word to the wise, if you want an actual full dinner, don't get your hopes up. The servings tend to run on the small all in all. The main (and only reason) you come here is the activity itself. And the ability to get close to your date over something a little warm :)

Keisha L.

Yelp
First let me say that Kate was great!! Upon arrival we were greeted and immediately checked in. I did take notice that it was freezing in the restaurant but hoped that it would warm up once we started or dinner experience. It just so happened to be Restaurant Week so the was a predetermined menu at a discounted price which allowed you to choose your meal tailored to your hearts desire. For $35 you were able to choose a Cheese Fondue whether it was the featured one or one of your choosing from the menu. Our table decided on the Wisconsin Cheddar and the Spinach Artichoke. After tasting the two, my new favorite is the Spinach Artichoke. I had to end my relationship with the WC because something was off, it did not taste like what i remembers but the new fondue saved the day. The spinach and artichokes are small enough to still have a big impact. It was especially divine on the pretzel bread and the green apple dippers. Next was the salad of your choice. Most of the table opted for the Caesar and if you know me, I did request extra pine nuts. There was also a House Salad and a Bacon Bleu Spinach that made their way to the table as well. Dressing on the side so you can have it as wet or dry as you desire. Time for the meat!!!!! You could choose the predetermined meat selection of choose four from a list of provided meats. Lobster tails were also an option for a super duper up charge of $14.99 as you are advised to get two tails. Buyer beware... it's one tail sliced into two pieces or so it looked that way on the plate. The chosen cooking style was Coq Au Vin but you could choose on of the other cooking styles on the regular menu. We had two pots so we did Coq and the Mojo (my personal fav). I do recommend putting all the veggies in and letting them cook while you cook your meats. Some before take longer than others. Also the longer the cook the more flavor they have!!!! Lastly and probably everyone's favorite part, le dessert!!!! We went with the Pure White Chocolate and the Yin Yang. The dessert dipper plate always has something different on it each time I go! This time we had pretzel sticks which was cute! If you are undecided Yin and Yang is perfect giving you the beast of both worlds to starts and once mixed gives you straight up chocolate lol. All in all, the experience is exactly what you'd expect.... an experience. I do think they restaurant week gives you less food in all but allows you to get a little this and a little that making it easier to experiment to see what you really like. There is parking under the restaurant so make sure you take your ticket with you and the restaurant will cover a majority of it for you. It's best to make a reservation too to minimize any wait times. Lastly, hopefully the heat to air mixture will be better for you or on my next visit. It was ice cold outside and ice cold inside too which depleted the experience. Sending warm wishes as I wrap this up......

Yelp
Came here few months ago with a friend. It was DC restaurant week when we went there so we got a pretty good deal on their fondue! It was such a fun and entertaining dinner. Our server was friendly and very nice, she explained to us how things are done there since it was our first time. It was a three-course meal. First course, She gave us our cheese fondue for our appetizer and then the next course was the entree where we picked one of each- chicken, pork and shrimp- to cook in front of us. And the third course which was my most awaited part was the chocolate fondue because i am such a chocoholic! Lol. We picked the 'smores chocolate for our dip and i felt like we did the right choice! Everything was really good. Few heads up: reserve ahead, if you walk-in, prepare for a long wait. And because it is a 3course dinner (there's also a 4 course one) and they use they same burner for all the 3courses, it is expected that it will really take some time to finish. This dinner is kinda a chill setting and not a rush one, so if you don't have much time to spend, this may not be the place for you. We stayed for around 2hours there to complete the entire meal. But i tell you, it's all worth your precious time.

Yelp
Well, large party, Had to order from a large party menu in advance, which was not a problem. The table was long, so difficult to hear anyone not near you.

Yelp
My s/o and I have been craving the Melting Pot for quite some time. We decided to come here tonight for date night. Steven was our server and was accommodating, and kind. I'd give him 5/5 stars! We ended up getting the Wisconsin Trio for our cheese. Sadly, I didn't like the cheese as much, because the wine was a little too overpowering. Yes, this is the first time someone has ever complained about something being too boozy. Great selection of dippers though. The house salad with the sweet and tangy (honey mustard) dressing was good! I felt somewhat healthy ;) We got the Classic Mojo style entree. I love this part, but I think I would have preferred the Coq a Vin more than the Mojo, as I'm not a fan of cilantro and totally didn't realize it came with it! However, the zest of the lemon and lime gave my meat and seafood very interesting flavor. It was quite unique. The shrimp was my favorite, which is a surprise because I never make shrimp at home. Lastly, we went with the s'mores chocolate. Honestly, I wish the graham crackers were more crumbly. They were too big, which made my dipping experience a little challenging. The oreo crusted marshmallow is my favorite! I love how they also had pineapple and bananas- fruit and chocolate are always a great pair.

Yelp
I really enjoy the melting pot but i can't get past the sheer cost to cook your own food. Great service, the cheese fondue is awesome but GD is it just so expensive for what you get. I looked online for some coupons but found none. Just not entirley worth it to me.

Yelp
My husband and I revisited this location and had a lovely time. It seems they are under new management and Daniel, the manager, is really great. He stopped by our table, and others, to introduce himself and welcome us to the restaurant. We were happy to hear all of the draft beer taps were working and available. My husband enjoyed his stout and I ordered the "Love" martini. Our server, Jeremy, was truly great. He was knowledgeable, upbeat, and friendly. He was always around in case we needed anything! We decided on the "Big Night Out" and made a few alterations along the way. The best part was surely the Mediterranean cheese. It was delightful with shallots, wine, fontina, and some truffle oil. I would have gladly had another bowl of just the cheese! :) all of the dippers were tasty with the cheese! Next we had salads. I chose the California and my husband had the featured salad with bacon. The garlic salt they provide does add a special kick to the flavor! For the third course, the entree, we were treated to the Big Night selections which included lobster tail, scallops, pork, sirloin, mushroom pasta (4), and we substituted the lamb sausage with shrimp cooked in coq a vin broth. I have to say, the garlic butter they offered for the seafood was divine! It really did add an extra oomph to the flavor profiles! The veggies were also nice accompaniments to the meal. The mushrooms and sweet potato were my favorites. To top off the meal we enjoyed the turtle chocolate. It was perhaps a bit too liquid-y but still flavorful. The flavor was there, but I think a slightly thicker chocolate would make dipping a little less messy. The rice crispies and cream puffs were surely the stars of the show! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would gladly return. The staff is super friendly and attentive and we are glad we were able to stop in again!

Yelp
I love love love the melting pot. Second time I've eaten here and it's amazing every time and I fall more and more in love every time. Last time, me and my friends shared a course but this time my boyfriend and I got one course per person and MAN I was full. The desserts especially were really good.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant & the experience was worth every dollar. Our waitress was an exceptional lady from Ghana who explained everything well since it was out first time trying fondue. The service was lovely and everyone from the hostess, waitress and manager were keen on the customer service. The food was delicious and timely served. They had some of the best mocktails I've ever had. I recommend this restaurant for date nights!

Yelp
The menu is confusing and our server was unexpectedly hostile when we asked for an explanation of how it works. After about an actual two minutes, the server left and sent over the manager. Wow. We legitimately were not being a-holes or rude in any way. It was socially awkward. But. Whatever, I guess. The food is okay. It's not as great as the price would suggest though, but as my sibling noted, "We were paying for an experience." I suspect that my opinion of Melting Pot and its cost would be more positive and less critical if the service had been better. Our meal took over 2.5 hours because service was slow. This was after the initial negative interaction. Fortunately, the interactions after that weren't too bad, just glacially slow.

Yelp
Amazing! The service was excellent. Keith was the bomb.com!!! Thank you. Will come again.

Yelp
Came here for the ladies night special last Thursday. Let's start by saying, that is a great deal! $32 for 4 courses and you leave feeling FULL. We came with a party of 8 and our server was attentive and patient with us as we navigated the menu and answered all the questions we might have! He was also great about asking about allergies and allowing us to make adjustments to some of the menu items. I was also pleased to see Daniel, the manager, come over to our table and not only check in with us but to bring drinks and helped clear stuff out of the way as we made our way through the courses-seeing a manager step up in those ways without the customers asking to see them was impressive! As for the food-it was all excellent! As other reviewers mention, the alpine cheese does have an overpowering wine taste and I probably wouldn't try that one again. For the chocolates, we were able to substitute dark chocolate instead of white chocolate in the cookie butter recipe and I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THAT-it was amazing! I will be back for another girls night deal!

Yelp
Pros - We were seated before our reservation, the food was delicious, and the waiter brought us extra dippers when needed. Cons - The price for the entrees is high for the portion given. Also, the waiter didn't clear our table as we went so it got very crowded. Overall - This was my first time and I will go back, but only for special occasions since it is so highly priced. I recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Today was a sad and devastating day for my family and I. My husband insisted on taking the family to dinner but had the slightest clue where he wanted to go. My daughter suggested "the place where they cook in front of you", and my husband suggested The Melting Pot. This was my daughter, my son, and I first time experiencing The Melting Pot. When our server comes over I'm sure that we seemed unsure of what we wanted to drink however we all laughed and moved forward with the experience. The young man comes back with the drinks for my daughter, son, and husband. I at this point order a beverage from the bar and we proceed to order. During the process my husband and I BOTH make it very clear that we (as a family) DO NOT EAT PORK NOR SHELLFISH. The young man acknowledges our request. The cheese comes out and everything is great. He comes to the table with salads that are obviously not what we orderd. We do not make a big deal because we ( my husband and I ) both work in the restaurant industry so we understand that things happen. The young man then corrects his mistake after we inform him and then he brings out the correct salads. As dinner goes on the experience is well and my family is having an amazing time. The main course is brought to the table and my husband makes a NO PORK joke and the young man says "yes sir no pork". My family and I are excited to dig in, however as we are eating my husband realizes that we ordered salmon but we have no salmon. My husband informs the young man he looks at the plate as if we are asking for something we did not order. The young man then proceeded and say" no problem I can bring you a few pieces". The salmon comes out and we continue to enjoy our dinner. My husband cooks a peice of meat(PORK) and we taste it together. At that moment the night went from amazing to hell. My family has not had pork in over two decades. My husband and feel like the meat doesn't taste like the rest or anything that we are use to eating. We call the young man over and ask him to identify the meat for us and he states that it is sirloin. Now I am no Melting Pot employee however I can read. The pork comes with a Memphis dry rub and the type of sirloin that we ordered comes with sesame seeds. My husband at this point asks to speak with a manager. While waiting my husband sees another employee in passing and asks her to identify the meat and indeed she says that the meat is in fact pork. This is a very devastating point in our lives especially because of our religious views. It is very disturbing that my family had to go through this especially after taking the proper precautions. The negligence is unacceptable and the establishment MUST take more pride in their training process. Especially when it comes to food knowledge. My family and I now how to go to great lengths after having dinner ruined and now being impelled to be unclean. For this being our first encounter with The Melting Pot I am some what disgusted and disappointed all at the same time. I honestly hope and pray that this situation may help that young man gain some understanding when it comes to the guest that patronize the establishment that helps him keep his lights on. Shalom.

Yelp
Great service and food. We had the alpine cheese, fondue with mojo seasoning, and dark chocolate and all were delicious with vegetables to make the meal lighter.

Yelp
This place never lets me down. Food is always so good. The service was excellent. Our server (Adam) was very attentive to our needs, refills, very knowledgeable of the menu and great recommendations ...he made the visit very pleasurable. This Place is great for a date night or family fun. The noise level was great...couldn't really here other people. The food was very fresh and the meat looked really good and it all tasted so good. Parking is located in the garage. After 5pm parking is only $5 but they validate parking.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way up to Johns Hopkins in MD. my husband had never been here before and he LOVES cheese so I figured it'd be a good date! The duck was incredible and our waitress was so sweet. 100% worth the price we paid as we left so full that we went straight to sleep at the hotel afterwards

Yelp
I had been here years ago before and let's just say it's not like i remembered. I took my husband here for his 30th birthday and he was very underwhelmed. It was his choice wanted to experience it I guess. I don't think we will ever be returning. The food wasn't nasty it just wasn't that great and would not recommend. The dessert portion was yummy. I will admit that. Service was great.

Yelp
My husband and I came here during restaurant week. He had never been and I had never been to this location so we decided to give it a go. The only really annoying thing is the parking situation, I always hate being forced to park in a garage but melting pot does validate so that helps big time. Our server was really nice, she was really busy but explained everything to us with the restaurant week deal. You got a cheese fondue, salad, entree, and chocolate fondue. They prep all the fondue at the table which is nice because you can ask them to customize it a bit. We got a traditional cheese fondue and loved it, so delicious. I did find celery a little odd as a choice of dipper but all the fruit and veggies seemed fresh and looked good. The salads were quite good as well. For our entrees we ordered up a little for a fun cooking method and loved the flavor it gave everything. The sauces were also a really good accompaniment too. When it came time for our chocolate fondue we took awhile to decide and our server was patient with us and was able to provide us with something off menu. The dippers for the chocolate were fabulous and we left stuffed!

Yelp
I've had melting pot on my bucket list for quite some time so when I found a groupon for it I had to go! It was a fun experience for sure- expect to spend at least 2 hours if not more here. We had a salad course, cheese fondue course, then a main entree course (meats and veggies in soup broth). Skipped desserts this time- although I would be tempted to come back just for that! I had the house salad with ranch- very good. Then we went with the spinach artichoke cheese fondue which was tasty. I especially loved the pretzel bread with the cheese. The main course was just so-so for me. The idea was cool- you choose a broth (just one was included- the rest cost extra) and then you had a variety of meats and veggies you got raw and would dip in the broth to cook. Reminded me very distinctly of Chinese hot pot. Then there were 6 different sauces to dip your veggies in. I got the filet mignon, teriyaki beef, and scallops, and my friend ordered dumplings and veggies. The meats and veggies were tasty on their own- but the sauces and broth didn't really add much for me. The dumplings my friend said tasted like the frozen ones from the grocery- advise to avoid those. All in all, it was a fun meal. I burnt myself at least once, made a total mess and was not a good judge of how long to cook my ingredients- part of the charm. Our service was quite friendly. I just wouldn't come back for the food itself, especially after I saw the bill. Even Groupon inclusive/sans drinks and desserts it was on the high side. But it was still a good experience and definitely recommended for families with pickier eaters.

Yelp
Came here for their ladies night special and had a great time. I've been here before but it wasn't a place I would come back to if I had to pay full price. Just because I can get more bang for the buck at other places. It's a great experience if you have never had fondue. Highly recommend it. We had a 4 course meal. (If you are lactose intolerant there are options, but not a lot and it's really not worth your money. But it's definitely worth the experience. I am, and I decided to just suffer through it to get the full experience. The entree is just broth so that is dairy free and you can ask for no cheese with your salad. Lastly if you want dessert just try to go with dark chocolate options because that has less lactose compared to milk and white chocolate.) Cheese Fondue: Got the Wisconsin Cheddar and Spinach Artichoke. I preferred the Spinach Artichoke. The Wisconsin Cheddar has beer in it so if you like beer I'm sure you'll enjoy that more because you can taste it slightly. Salad: I got the House Salad with the Tangy Sauce. Loved the sauce! Definitely recommend. Entree: We got the seasoned veggie broth (complimentary) and the mojo broth (+$3.95). Both were good. Glad I got to try the mojo but I would have been fine with just the complimentary veggie. I wouldn't pay extra money for the broth. But if you want to try something new, feel free to. The sauces that came with the meat is really good. My favorite was the horseradish sauce for the shrimp and the curry sauce for everything else. Teriyaki sauce was pretty good too. Dessert: Got the Rocky Road Dark Chocolate one. I love marshmallows and candied pecans so this was like heaven for me lol. Favorite part of the meal. Drink: Sunshine Sangria is delicious. If you need to drive home, pace yourself because it will hit you and you need to save room for food lol Service: Our server was awesome. I think his name was Carlos. Very friendly guy and has a great sense of humor. Very helpful in regards to food recommendations and splitting the check for us. Parking: You can park in the garage right next to/under the restaurant. It has a couple different exits/entrances when walking to/from it. Remember to get it validated at the restaurant. Even if you get it validated you still have to pay but it's less. This is the only part I didn't like. I feel like if we get it validated we should be able to park free. But I don't know what the restaurant can/can't work out with the garage management.

Yelp
Had a fun dinner last night at Melting Pot! We opted for the 4 course - cheese fondue, salad, meat and veggies and chocolate fondue. We started with the cheddar cheese fondue. What could be better than melty hot cheese and dipping breads, fruits and veggies?? The cheese was a little beer/garlic heavy but overall super tasty. Then onto the house salad. Mostly good, but a few brown pieces of lettuce. The homemade ranch dressing is creamy and has good flavor. Melting Pot lost a couple of stars during our entrees. We had the coq au vin cooking style - super flavorful with the rich red wine mixed with veggie broth. But, we got a lot of proteins with flavors that didn't really go together well. If you are trying the coq au vin, get the plain proteins so the flavors meld better. Also, make sure you are cooking your proteins to the proper temp! We had a few uncooked pieces of meat that needed more cook time. It was helpful to use our cellphone timers. Do yourself a favor and try to Dark & Dulce chocolate fondue. It's especially good with strawberries and rice crispies. If you are feeling even more decadent, get some cheesecake for dipping. Yum!!!
